THE HEAD COMPLAINER

Trump’s Mar-A-Largo Boredom

I love when people say, “It’s time to take off the gloves!” as if punching someone with your bare knuckles would do more damage to the person you are fighting. The real result of punching with no gloves is damage to your own hands. But in the spirit of over-using the cliché, maybe this year I will take the gloves off.

First, this low-life con man, who the manipulated masses elected to the most important office in the land, keeps forcing himself into every conversation at the New Year’s Eve party. I didn’t invite this person to attend my party and I wish he would shut up and go home.

I don’t give a rat’s ass how much golf the douche bag plays, but I am increasing irritated by his constant stream of negativity. “No wall, No DACA!” comes right after Trump tweeted about bi-partisanship in the New Year. We get it asshole, you want a freaking wall to compensate for some limp, failing body part.

He keeps pressing himself and longing for attention, like a spoiled-little brat who was deprived of his mother’s breasts and constantly craved his father’s attention. Just as the year was ending, he complained about the Post Office not charging Amazon enough to deliver their packages on the weekend. What a dipshit! He doesn’t realize that thousands of postal workers earn overtime to work those packages. What does he want the Post Office to do, give the business back to FedEx and UPS? CNN, yes, CNN, did a great job analyzing this latest blunder by Trump in this article. Donald J. Trump is one of the most unqualified, ill-equipped and naïve people we have ever elected President.

He tries to pump his low numbers in the polls by quoting a one-off that showed him with a decent score. He continually slams Fake News and seems to lack the ability to relax and enjoy his family during the holidays. And then, while millions of Americans are suffering through some of the coldest temperatures in decades, he tweets that the country could use some global warming. His modicum of knowledge of anything science-oriented embarrasses the citizens of this great nation and makes them feel worse, not better. If confronted, he will say that he was just kidding. The joke is on you, bozo. The sea level in West Palm Beach is expected to rise five to six feet and maybe Trump will live long enough to see Mar-a-Largo under water.

He throws a bone to The New York Times, the newspaper he seems to hate the most, with what the Times termed a rambling monologue. You don’t need to ask him any questions, simply turn on the mic or camera and let this idiot babble.

The Donald is like a circus monkey; throw a peanut and sit back and watch him do tricks. He relentlessly rambles and violently vomits his vile viewpoints and reconstructed truths, commonly known as lies. He made sure he worked in “there was no collusion” more than sixteen times. This baboon is more worried about dissing the dossier than making any sense. He is the walking, talking embodiment of the “implication of the opposite,” not comprehending that the more he denies the more it seems like he is guilty.

He blamed China of violating the sanctions against North Korea and claimed he “caught them RED HANDED” without any awareness of the pun or the accuracy of the accusation. What a dickhead to say on Twitter that China was in violation of an international order, when he is attempting to work with them. Why wouldn’t he simply pick up the phone and call their leader to discuss? Their government sent a message that they are not in violation and take the UN agreement very seriously. Another horrible glitch in the rancid brain of the “leader” of the free world.

There are a lot of people who don’t want to talk about impeachment because they can’t see a high crime or misdemeanor being committed here, but what about a lack of judgement and putting the country into a threatened position? This great Orange Leader isn’t taken seriously by the competent world leaders, and those with direct contact know that he is a liar.

I have said from the beginning that Donald Trump should be impeached for lying. And that I truly believe that the founding fathers assumed that the President of the United States of America would tell the truth to the people of this land. Our current president, with his corpulent orange body, will exploit his position for wealth and power until most of the voters stand up and force this fraud from his position. We need to rid ourselves of this whinny complainer and get on to better things. If he wants to know why he isn’t doing better in the polls, it’s because he always seems to have to put down someone. He’s slowly running out of “someones” to put down.

THE WORST YEAR FOR AMERICA

Trump Never Ceases to Embarrass

As we end this glorious year, a quick look back from the insanity of last year’s presidential campaign, that blossomed into a full-blown theater of the absurd this year, can give us no warm feelings. 32-35% of America think the great Orange Leader is doing a good job, while at least 65% disapprove of his governance. I contend that 20-25% of those who dislike his work also do not like him as a person.

People are full of distrust. According to the most recent figures from Gallup, approval of Congress is at 16 percent. Clearly, the voters have a low respect for the current leader of the free world and less regard for those who we elected to represent us. Why is this?

When President Trump speaks, he doesn’t focus on the positive. He always has to put-down, slam or berate someone or something. This leads to a net result of cynicism and negative reinforcement. It’s almost as if a victory for Trump isn’t significant unless someone else can be bullied and trashed as the loser. Trump has no ability to accept any criticism and can never admit that he may have been wrong. His most repulsive habit is his demand for righteousness.

It’s fitting that we write our last missive of this year on the shortest day of the calendar, for the darkness cannot come quick enough for this writer. We wait for that time when we can stagger back into the cave and attempt to forget about this notorious coward and his ghastly offense to our nation. There was not one day this year when I didn’t feel embarrassed that we have him as our President.

Deep down inside, I don’t want to find out that there was some conspiracy to fix the election with the Russians. That would only make me more nauseous and depressed. That anyone would collaborate, or even collude, with a foreign power against other Americans makes my stomach knot. I hope they find out that the current president was not involved in such an immoral mission. We don’t need a “pussy grabber” in the White House, but worse, we must never have a traitor in our midst.

Yes, colluding or collaborating or even scheming with the enemy should, without a doubt, be grounds for imprisonment and even execution. But we don’t do that in America. We could never admit that Richard Nixon, a felon of demonic stature, should serve one day in jail because we don’t imprison our politicians. We can shame them out of office, with some getting their pensions, but we never haul them off in a paddy wagon to rot in a jail. We save those spaces for drug addicts and those who have committed high crime and misdemeanors of another nature. You know, minorities and ingrates.

But there is a reason we have a two-party system, not birthed by the Declaration of Independence, or the Bill of Rights or the Constitution, but born in the houses of Congress to slow down major decisions. Yes, when we complain about how slow Congress is we are only applying what seems like a proper timeline for today’s frantic lifestyle, not how the system was designed.

It took 11 months for the Donald to get his big tax cut. Had he outlined it in detail and wrote it himself, he could have sped up the process but, rightfully, someone reminded him that it wasn’t his job to write a bill. And there isn’t an expert worth his salt in America who doesn’t see the 2017 tax legislation for what it is, a double down on the old “trickle down” theory. Giving large tax cuts to corporations and rich people is a medium-term myth that won’t solve the middle-class budget problem fast enough and help those most affected.

Trump cannot seem to win the popular vote or approval. The Russian probe eats away at his credibility. He denies so much which leads many people to ask the question, “What is the truth?” His dismissal of so many members of his team this year speaks to his inability to vet and hire the right people, while his obsessive and abusive use of Twitter to, as he says to communicate with his base and go around the mainstream media, is the exact reason many people are uneasy with his leadership. Some just see him as a mean person.

And it’s only fitting that the first year of Trump ends with a decisive rebuke of this administration yesterday (12-21-2017). Most of the world’s nations denounced Trump’s decree to move the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem, Israel’s capital. Trump intimidated he would stop all aid to any nation that voted against his decision. Ambassadors of the 193-member General Assembly voted 128 to 9, with 35 abstentions, approving a nonbinding resolution demanding that the United States rescind the decision on Jerusalem.

Donald Trump keeps saying that he is making America Great Again and that our country is finally more respected around the world. From NATO, to the Paris Accord, to North Korea, to Russia, to the United Nations, we are NOT more respected. Some nations are laughing at us. Some leaders are scratching their heads. Most nations see Trump for what he is, a moron.

The more powerful and self-reliant countries spin it in a positive way saying that he’s only a temporary annoyance, but any reasoned leader sees our President as a threat to world stability and peace. The more dependent states, who in the past have needed the United States as an “involved parent,” will turn further to religious dogma and dark forces in the world for support and aid. Trump, who has no real knowledge of the Marshall Plan, wants to bulldoze our relationships with other nations. He’s a fool and the whole world sees him as an inflexible American asshole.

CHRISTMAS GIFT & LIES

The Catch 22 in Congress

There is a certain Catch 22 that our Congressional “leaders” now must navigate. For those without pop culture knowledge, a Catch 22 is a dilemma or difficult circumstance from which there is no escape, because of mutually conflicting or dependent conditions. If one votes for something unpopular, it will eventually come back to bite them on the butt.

If you see things only through the eyes of an owner, you’ll never comprehend the heart of the American worker. The working calculus of those who run large corporations is a pretty simple equation. You have either profit or loss. When you have profit, life is good. When you have loss, you are dangerously close to being thrown out. Workers depend on the sound judgement of owners and bosses to keep things running profitably.

Owners are like politicians, they promise their workers a better life, but never at the expense of their own better life. These are facts. Owners always believe that workers should care about the success of the company. Sure, there are righteous bosses out there who judge people on performance and bonus them for good work but other masters succumb to the wishes of the stockholders and investors with little regard for the common worker. Raises are often “cost-of-living” concessions rather than genuine rewards.

And now we have this “giant” tax cut that will supposedly create jobs and increase wages for the masses. At least, that is how it’s been sold to the middle class in America. The theory, once again, is that if the rich and the corporate overlords earn money, they will naturally redistribute the wealth to their underlings. That has been given lip service very many times in the history of the world, but the results never match the words. Rich, fat, white people usually keep the money for themselves.

What the tax bill did, more than anything else, was to attempt a bargain with the large multi-national U.S. corporations to bring back jobs and money to our shores. Why would they trust that the government wouldn’t tax those funds later? The most absurd line used in the tax bill is that the corporate tax cuts are permanent. Ha, when is anything in America permanent?

One of the largest multi-national groups that feeds on the middle class is big pharm. With this “glorious” tax cut came the termination of the mandate in Obamacare. This will probably eliminate millions of health insurance accounts, thus creating a decrease in profits for not only the insurance companies but also for prescription vendors such as Walgreens, CVS and RiteAid. These firms will need to find a way to make up the revenue. Solution? Raise the prices. Thanks Congress.

With the Republican bravado and presidential chest pounding today (12-20-2017), we hear that the Donald’s men in suits want to take a next step with China, Canada and Mexico by imposing as much as a 20% tax on all their products coming into the United States. That means lumber for building houses, goods at Walmart and drugs processed overseas will become more expensive. Those increases will be passed along to the American consumer in the form of higher prices. Thanks, great Orange Leader.

The fantasy that corporations will give employees an across the board wage increase stinks like swamp gas emanating from the cesspool of trickle-down economics. It’s not voodoo economics, it’s demonic treachery on the highest order. First the middle class was sucked in voting for Trump. Now they are being fooled again by the Republican Congress dragging them into the swamp with their money flying out of their pockets.

Even the 2% or less that some people will get back in 2019 cannot be scammed as some major Christmas present for the middle class. Why didn’t they give the middle class a 15% decrease in taxes like they did the corporations? They will tell you that would have increased the debt, but they have already walked away from their conservative mantra of not increasing the debt. This time to the tune of $1.46 Trillion. WTF?

We all know that the original sin of politicians is that they lie. Trump lied when he said this tax cut bill would not be good for him. In fact, the wealthy, like the Trumps, will benefit from this greatly. And, just like Putin, Trump will leave office much richer than when he was when elected. The difference is Putin will never leave. Trump might leave early.

This bill was passed by only Republican hands. I am sure they are proud that they finally got something done, even when many experts have said, this will eventually hurt America. Trump only cares about his people, not all the people. He gave all his rich friends, donors and dingbat CEOs a French kiss for Christmas. The American public got the status quo with clouds forming on the horizon. Get ready for paying more America. You just got screwed again.

After all, Republicans usually spend more than Democrats while cutting social programs. Slashing 40% of the railroad funding won’t make train rides safer, Mr. Trump. Sure, give the money to the rich. They deserve it. They worked so hard.

And to the 13 members of Congress who are in the real estate business, congratulations you low-life scumbags. You think you are doing “the peoples’ work,” when in fact you are simply selfish whores.

THE FULL OF SH*T FACTOR

Trump’s Cage of Crazies

It is clear as we near the one-year mark of Donald Trump’s Presidency, that this has been a most embarrassing ride for most Americans. Some knew if from the start, while others are slowly starting to realize that we made a serious mistake.

Even the President himself doesn’t push back on the notion that chaos is part of his make-up, not the kind he wears, and nothing will ever be “normal” in the White House while he reigns.

Think of this: Mike Flynn, the National Security Adviser was in office for only 25 days, and now he’s plead guilty to lying to the FBI. Reince Priebus Chief of Staff, has left the building. Steve Bannon, Chief Strategist, is out, and wannabe Bannon, Sebastian Gorka, is gone. The rude and crude shorter termer, Anthony Scaramucci, was pounced on and pounded out before getting his first paycheck. Poor little Sean Spicer was thrown to the wind because he was one of the worst liars in the history of the government. Mike Dubke left before we even had a chance to understand what he did.

Then there’s Sally Yates, who was fired because she refused to do Trump’s dirty work. The President had the lack of intelligence to fire the head of the FBI, James Comey, so that the pressure of the Russian investigation would be lifted. His hasty action prompted Comey to testify about his relationship with Trump and motivate the appointment of a Special Counsel to take up the work of getting to the bottom of the Russian probe.

Let’s not forget the firing of Preet Bharara, US attorney in New York, Derek Harvey, Middle East advisor for National Security Council, Katie Walsh, Deputy White House Chief of Staff, Walter Shaub, office of Government Ethics, Michael Short, Press Aide, Tom Price, Secretary of Health & Human Services and now Omarosa Manigault, a Public Liaison Director of Communications. For most observers, Omarosa was nothing but a diversity prop.

Just like the character in his reality TV show, Donald Trump has a horrible record of recruitments and hires. He has no desire to keep anyone from the previous administration, regardless of their experience or expertise. Donald’s lack of patience and concentration constantly leads to misunderstandings, miscommunications and maligned employees. The man is a joke as an executive.

We must face the crushing reality that we will never have a well-oiled administration with our Great Orange Leader. The friction that Trump creates with his Tweets, uninformed opinions, conspiracy theories, harsh treatment of allies and ass-kissing of criminals and dictators will never change. Trump is a flawed, limited human being.

Trump’s cage of crazies is augmented by rich people with an agenda to paper their pockets while they have a chance to manage the money in favor of the wealthy without any serious effort to help the middle class. If this “full of shit factor” has not given you any hope, we understand. But this feckless fake should be motivating you to do something.

What can we do to thwart this maniac’s bad judgement and poor management of our blessed country? America cannot be left in the hands of a Republican majority. Without a major change in the numbers after the 2018 midterm elections, no citizen will have the right to complain about where we find ourselves. We all must act to block this madman’s agenda before he starts another war.

If you think in terms of keeping lunatics out of office, think Alabama. When the gene pool in Congress is devoid of democratic balance, the result is an aberrant, some would say criminal, shift in laws and policies. Congress is supposed to move slowly and apply gravity to make each decision considered and well formed. We can see how fast both the House and Senate moved on the Tax Cuts and Jobs act. They are trying to get what they want pushed through, without the burden of citizen review. Isn’t that taxation without representation?

There are those in Washington, DC who claim that, right after the first of the year, Robert Mueller’s investigation will unfold its big reveal and we will embark on the next season of TRUMP: A White House in Crisis. Will the main character fire more employees and maybe even the top cop in the investigation? Book it.

Will the daughter find out what she is supposed to do beyond redecorating her White House office? Will the son-in-law be able to bring peach in the Middle East in his lifetime? Will the General finally figure out that he has tarnished his reputation forever? Will the world ever regain esteem for America? Stay tuned. The second season must be watched live. The only person binging the series will the be the fat orange man sitting on the toilet with his Android phone in hand.

UNCHARTED TERRITORY

Trump and His Party

The word “rebuke” is a strong stab. This expression of sharp disapproval or criticism was plugged into many headlines today (12-12-2017), to sum up the Doug Jones victory for the vacant Alabama Senate seat. However, there’s much more to this victory than the total number of votes.

First, let us address the corpulent elephant in the room, Donald Trump. This is what he posted on his Twitter feed last night, “Congratulations to Doug Jones on a hard-fought victory. The write-in votes played a very big factor, but a win is a win. The people of Alabama are great, and the Republicans will have another shot at this seat in a very short period of time. It never ends!”

And then after a bad night’s sleep, he continued this morning with, “The reason I originally endorsed Luther Strange (and his numbers went up mightily), is that I said Roy Moore will not be able to win the General Election.  I was right! Roy worked hard but the deck was stacked against him!”

Now I am not a doctor, but I will attempt some arm-chair psychoanalysis here. First of all, the congratulations tweet came rather early in the night. A clear desire to put this to bed before the sleepy presidential numbskull hit the pillow. Even Roy Moore refused to concede the election with a prayer to God to intercede, perhaps a prayer too late?

Trump mentioned the “write-in” votes being a big factor. Yes, as of this writing, there were more than 22,000 unverified write-in votes and clearly people were saying they didn’t like either candidate. Time will tell if those write-in votes were a Republican protest vote or serious concern about Moore’s history of pedophilia.

Trump brushes away the write-in factor with “a win is a win,” as if to say all that matters is winning, even when the other guy wins. Admirable, or is he setting us up? He says people in Alabama are great, and that “the Republicans” will have another shot soon. Gee, is he distancing himself from “the Republicans,” as if he is some external force in their universe? Some of the old-line Republicans wish he was.

And then, this morning, our great Orange Leader clears the air and disavows his involvement in this sordid affair by using the phrase, “I was right!” It takes so much courage to admit that you were right, even though your man lost. He even declares, “I said Roy Moore will not be able to win the General Election.” This is pure Trumpean, or better known in medical circles as anosognosia. This extreme form of denial of the disorder itself is serious, and will eventually cripple this nation and the business of government. Maybe Trump is shooting for a constitutional crisis?

Trump complains to his base with the phrase, “…the deck was stacked against him!”  The President isn’t talking about Roy Moore here, he is lamenting his own predicament. When you collect the language, with “it never ends” and the cards being stacked against him, you can easily see a pattern of self-pity and perhaps a deep, dark, patricidal desire on his part. It’s as if all the enemies in the world are somehow after him and he’s never good enough for his father. He lashes out at anyone who stands in his way in order to prove his father wrong. What was said to this person when he was growing up?

Maybe that is why he likes people like Vladimir Putin and Rodrigo Duterte. They represent tyrants who would take out their own fathers to look better to their admiring fans. They are all narcissists and neurotic Nazi wannabes. They want to march their troops into the city, close all the shops, burn the printing presses and detain the dissenters with their guns and generals. They are on the living room carpet playing with their little plastic soldiers imagining they are the total commanders. And they get to decide what is right and wrong.

Trump was played by Bannon, once again, and they both lost in Alabama. Trump was busy picking a fight with demonic democratic women like Kirsten Gillibrand, who has called for him to resign for grabbing some pussy. Why doesn’t the junior Senator from New York understand that all women are liars. Women cannot be believed. She is just another target; a woman he needs to control so he can feel good about himself.

That is what Roy Moore was saying. It’s the same message. Bannon cannot deal with women, Trump cannot deal with women and many Congressmen would rather not work with women. How many women were invited into the inner circle to help write the healthcare bill? None.

Donald Trump is a horrible leader of a political party. He has that role only because he’s the president. What he really wants to do is sit in the corner with the people who tell him how great he is and eat two large pieces of cake, while they have but one. The Republican party will have to pick up the check.

Last night in Alabama, the party paid the check for something that was not only embarrassing to America, but to the people who were born in Alabama. In the moment, former basketball star and Alabama native Charles Barkley said it best, “This is a wakeup call for Democrats and I’ve told this to Doug Jones and I love Mr. Jones. They’ve taken the black vote and the poor vote for granted for a long time. It’s time for them to get off their ass and start making life better for black voters and for people who are poor. They’ve always had our votes and they abused our votes. But this is a wake-up call for Democrats to do better for black people and poor white people.” A pretty clear message and he used no Twitter page to say it. This was on CNN.

Roy Moore should have never been on the ballot. He’s yesterday’s bigotry. But before we all get stirred up about this one, let’s face some facts.

96% of the African-American vote went to Doug Jones, while only 4% of the minority vote went to Roy Moore. 98% of Black women voted for Doug Jones. But the reality in this special election was that 70% of White women voted for Roy Moore, while 65% of White men went with Moore and he still didn’t win. Why?

This election was less a victory for cross-over voting and more an achievement in high Democrat and African-American turnout. But we have seen this before with Barack Obama. Things were better for people like Judge Roy back when we had slavery, you know, when Black Americans couldn’t vote.

What this does say about our political process is that 60% of the voters stayed home because they weren’t excited about either candidate. That is what determined the outcome. Disinterest is the strongest voter suppression tool in America. Roy Moore intimating that slavery was a “good time” helped motivated those most affected by that sentiment.

Trump can take some of the blame, but only the national marketing blame, because local people don’t care what he says. That is the hardest pill for him to swallow today. Trump is just another politician who thinks putting his weight behind a local candidate means something. The weight he puts on this country, its people and the constitution is more than a bit discomforting. It feels like rape.

FLAWED HUMAN BEINGS

Trumpean Excuses & Mediocre Leaders

I sincerely don’t understand what is happening with my country. We all know that politicians will say anything to get elected, but once in office, we expect them to sliver out of their slimy huckster skin and bring us together, or, at least, make the right decisions for all the people, not just a boisterous minority.

When I am approached by someone from the far right, or someone in Trump’s base, I quickly asses the degree to which their ideology will have a bearing on the conversation. What Donald Trump has taken from us all is a natural kindness, openness and a common human bond. And there are those who have translated his hate, closemindedness and radical thoughtlessness into a platform for their party. How did that happen?

We all know that when someone joins a club they follow the plans and policies of the club leaders. When the fraternity speaks, everyone must listen and follow the instructions. Hazing hurts people, but we tacitly give approval by letting a system of exclusion exist. We allow a “Tax Cut” bill to hurt millions of people and drain money from our treasury, but members of that club must blindly follow the orders. Once again, in Trump’s America, the rich guys get the money and the poor people must obey.

If the only thing a middle or lower-class person had to worry about was whether the stock market went up, then I would say Trump has really helped a lot of people. It is said that the richest 1% own about 38% of all privately held wealth in the United States, while the bottom 90% carry 73% of all debt. And even though 52% of all Americans own stock, most of that paper is not available to them until they reach 66 years of age. So, what is this all about?

The soul of America has always been independence, hard work and democracy. Whatever Donald Trump wants you to think, he’s not about the working middle class. Born with a silver spoon in his mouth, he judges people by their status, wealth and standing, rather than the quality of their character, intelligence or desire to contribute to society. He rarely listens to anyone else and has a deep-seated hate for Barack Obama. His actions speak louder than words.

But this isn’t about President or Party, this is about the spurning of 65%, or more, of Americans who disagree with most of what Trump is doing. A leader of the United States of America should be able to open his mind to the fact that when the majority of the people have NO VOICE IN GOVERNMENT, something is wrong.

It’s stunning that in their desire to placate the Donald’s ego, hundreds of legislators are not even taking the time to read a tax bill before they vote on it; negligence of the highest order.

As the Republican money machine, being propelled by Devin Nunes, a Koch brothers’ puppet, the American public cannot get reliable information of what the bill really means to most American taxpayers. They don’t care because their research tells them no one will read it.

As the President’s rich comrades push through tax cuts for the very wealthiest, no one will mention that Koch was the company that helped Adolf Hitler with his oil refineries. You see, capitalism and chemistry make them rich, not feeding the poor. No one will mention their desire to let the ruling class of old money reign over the world and our country. But, perhaps I’m being too dramatic. Perhaps, the sons aren’t like the fathers, you know, like the Trump boys.

Donald Trump Jr. is a mess. He obviously doesn’t have an original thought in his brain. But wait, isn’t that what this is all about? It’s sinister forces controlling the minds of bigots and liars among us. The Koch brothers control Nunes, Trump controls Congress and Fox News controls Donald Trump. Why would rumors being fed to a half-baked TV morning show have more influence over the President than his DOJ, FBI and intelligence community? Rupert Murdoch must be pleased.

It’s not healthy for the President of the United States to sit around and watch four-hours of TV each day while gulping 12 cans of Diet Coke. He’s addicted to the hype, the caffeine and the controversary. He gets up every morning and has to have his fix. He’s a drug addict, like Harvey Weinstein is a sex addict.

Donald John Trump is such a flawed human being he would be a tiresome character in any movie or play. His dialog is much like the Big Brother character on the telescreen in George Orwell’s 1984. Remember these lines: “This is our land. A land of peace and of plenty. A land of harmony and hope. This is our land. Oceania. These are our people. The workers, the strivers, the builders. These are our people. The builders of our world, struggling, fighting, bleeding, dying. On the streets of our cities and on the far-flung battlefields. Fighting against the mutilation of our hopes and dreams. Who are they?”

When Trump says he is the voice of the forgotten people, the voters must believe they have been forgotten. Who told them they were forgotten, Big Brother himself. Our great Orange Leader plants the seeds and nurtures the fear that someone is coming to take away our hopes and dreams. The gut wrenching, wretched truth is that very someone is already here, and he is Donald Trump. Slowly, with each day, he is mutilating our Constitution and attempting to nullify all that stands for a better America. The biggest lie of all is his fantasy that he will, and he alone can, Make America Great Again.

THE BIOLOGY OF R’s and D’s

Washington’s New Reality

As the fires are burning and blowing across Southern California, there are fires a burning in our nation’s capital that even the big bad wolf in the White House cannot blow out. Women are finally taking back their country.

We have a new catch-all term, “sexual misconduct,” to house all the possible sexual assault complaints from grab-ass to rape. The “#MeToo” movement, as it is being called, has taken hold and landed on the cover of Time Magazine’s “Person of the Year” edition. I have one theory why this is happening now.

When Donald Trump was elected President, millions of people disregarded his sexual misconduct and pulled the lever to force a powerful, yet very disliked, woman out of public life. Mission Accomplished. But from Bill Cosby to Roger Ailes, Harvey Weinstein to Charlie Rose, from Matt Lauer to even George H.W. Bush, some of the most respected men in our country have been thrown on the pyre of female discontent.

This isn’t a republican problem or a democrat problem. After all, they are biologically the same. This modern suffragette force will not be stopped by double standards, hypocrisies or lies. Business, especially public companies, want to limit their liability in wrongful dismissal cases, whereas government houses attempt to protect their members to maintain the illusion of the institution’s sanctity. The cloak and dagger determination these men display is nothing short of codified sexism.

But why do these things happen in the first place? The root of this can be found in the phrase, “Let Trump Be Trump.” It’s the empowerment of an already empowered man. Trump’s harangues about political correctness and saying whatever he wants has been translated into a permission slip for the men of America. That little tag, “And when you’re a celebrity, they let you do whatever you want!” in the Access Hollywood tape is the embodiment of male dominance and privilege taking. It’s based on a fantasy that such behavior is what women really want. In most cases, however, it is not what they want, and the sooner men learn this, the quicker this problem will fade away. As one of my old bosses used to say decades ago about women who worked in the office, “If you sleep with her, you gotta marry her.”  Not that liberating, but actually good advice.

I laughed out loud when I heard a male “talking head” on TV this morning (12-8-2017), say that the accusation against Trent Franks, one of the most conservative House members from Arizona, is not sexual harassment. Franks, who has now said he will resign, claimed he asked female employees to bear his child as a surrogate.

The guidelines are clear: a person in authority, usually a supervisor, demands that subordinates tolerate sexual harassment as a condition of getting or keeping a job or job benefit, including promotions and raises. A single instance of harassment is sufficient to sustain a quid pro quo claim. And harassment is grounds for legal action when the conduct is unwelcome, based on sex, and severe or pervasive enough to create an abusive, offensive or hostile work environment.

It’s rather mystifying that men who want to use their power over women, seem to be the ones most vocally against legal abortions. This is another indication that their psychological makeup drives their need to control women, claiming they know what is best for a female.

Once Trent’s two staffers said that his discussion made them uncomfortable, that made it unwelcome. And you cannot get anything more “based on sex” than reproduction. The mere fact he thought it was okay to discuss this in the workplace shows that the United States Congress has no training on working environment policies and laws.

Franks admits to his request or, at least, suggestion that these workers think about being surrogates for the Congressperson and his wife. And because what he says will be a media circus during an investigation, he is leaving Congress in January 2018. Or is there more under the rock?

Don’t feel sorry for this goofball. Since Trent Franks has joined Congress his net worth has jumped by about $25 million and, according to OpenSecrets.org, his net worth was calculated at over $33 million in 2010. He also takes a $174,000 salary from the government. See the writer’s note below.

All the payments and settlements that took place in Congress over the last 20 years should be made public. They can redact the victim’s names, but we taxpayers have a right to know how our money has been spent. We need full transparency going forward and a system at least as potent as most corporate governance policies demand. A person filing a complaint shouldn’t feel that retaliation is part of the process, as they do now.

Al Franken might be the Democrats’ sacrificial lamb this week, but there will be more men brought to the town square to be judged. And with each one, we will see swift justice because women in America have been waiting too long to get their piece of the pie. The power being wielded now is rather remarkable. It just might convince men, on both sides of the aisle, to take notice and stop exploiting the women around them. If not, as that great philosopher from New York said recently, “There’s a Special Place in Hell for Child Abusers!” What Ivanka Trump failed to add is that there is also a special place for men in Congress who are guilty of sexual misconduct, back home.

NOTE: Members of Congress are eligible for a pension at the age of 62, if they have completed at least five years of service. Members are eligible for a pension at age 50, if they have completed 20 years of service, or at any age after completing 25 years of service. The amount of the pension depends on years of service and the average of the highest three years of salary. By law, the starting amount of a Member’s retirement annuity may not exceed 80% of his or her final salary. Because Trent Franks resigned before being brought up on charges, he will be getting at least $139,000 annually for the rest of his life. Under the laws passed by Congress, that money cannot be touched no matter they did. Even O.J. Simpson gets his pension.

STEVE BANNON: AMERICAN HITLER

Trump’s String-Pulling Puppeteer

It concerns me that our esteemed president continues to seek advice from a person he knows is bad for him, simply to convince himself that he wasn’t wrong in hiring the guy in the first place. It’s like a man who has gone through a bad divorce, but cannot stop forcing himself into the ex’s life.

The first time Steve Bannon talked to Donald Trump, he knew that he had found a mark he could mold into the embodiment of his kind of idol. With Trump, Bannon could maneuver the waters of discontent and manipulate the mob to adopt his demonic dogma. Bannon’s agenda is a mix pure xenophobia, white-nationalism, sexism, racism and a touch of Nazism. He would deny, totally deny, that any of those warts are there, but they are. He’s just another rich white guy trying to fix things.

The bargain Trump made with the devil was very simple. Make Bannon his chief strategist who would deliver the Breitbart audience to the base. Trump always needs a strong ideolog to keep him on track, just like he had with Roy Marcus Cohn, his feisty lawyer in the good old days. In short, Trump has never been his own man. He needs a father figure all the time, and that figure never cares about other people, only the prize.

Bannon is rich (tons of money in the TV and movie businesses), which makes him acceptable to Trump. Bannon doesn’t make Trump feel inferior in a physical sense. Next to Bannon, Trump is taller, more attractive and appears to be in control. But the truth is, Trump is totally under Bannon’s spell.

When Trump needed to make a decision on Roy Moore, he sought Bannon’s counsel. When the Donald is mulling a strategy for dealing with Congress or the fallout of the claims of Trump’s sexual misconduct, he calls Bannon. And now, we have Bannon and Breitbart becoming a force in politics, attempting to pick winners and losers. Bannon has declared war on the RNC and, they too, have sold their souls.

Trump backed Luther Strange, while Bannon went all in with Roy Moore. Surely, Bannon must have felt like he was in the Groundhog movie when all the women came out to accuse Judge Roy Moore for having a proclivity toward underage girls. Bannon went right back to the Trump playbook by denying and attacking the accusers.

Bannon claims the accusations of sexual impropriety are “a setup” from the “opposition party,” by which he means the press. Moore even threatened law suits to force them to shut up, just like Donald Trump did last year. And that strategy just might be working. One survey says that 71% of all Republicans in the state of Alabama believe the women who have come forward are lying. Isn’t America great? Roy Moore will probably win.

Last night in Fairhope, Alabama at the Roy Moore rally, Bannon appeared to be running an end game around Roy Moore himself and using the opportunity to attack the Republican party leaders and work toward defeating Mitt Romney in Utah. The rumor is that Mitt will run for the Orin Hatch seat in the US Senate. Yes, early this week, Mitt Romney attacked Roy Moore saying that his election in Alabama would be a stain on the Republican party and this set up Romney as the target.

Bannon attacked Mitt saying he used his religion to get out of Vietnam. I almost fell off my chair when I heard Bannon belittle all Mormons and their religious duty to serve as missionaries in the world. That seemed quite ironic, knowing the head of the Republican party, Donald Trump, never served a day in the military and would have never given up years of his life to non-profit service. Our great Orange Leader wiggled out of fighting in Vietnam via college and medical deferments, the latter for an imaginary bone spur.

The force behind Breitbart tried to shame the whole Romney family by pointing out that Mitt’s five sons did not fight in Afghanistan or Iraq, while thousands died. He must be forgetting that none of Donald Trump’s offspring have served in the military either. But that doesn’t matter. We now see where Donald Trump gets some of his meanness. When Bannon said that “Roy Moore has more honor and integrity in his pinky finger than your [Romney’s] entire family has in its whole DNA!” I was appalled. One might not agree with Romney’s politics or religious beliefs, but who can question the integrity, honor and faith of his family?

Steve Bannon was, in effect, quoting Romeo and Juliet and wishing a plague on both your houses. One house is the Republican party itself. The other house is a free and open press, the cornerstone of the First Amendment and the backbone of America. We know Bannon doesn’t like Muslims, Jews, African-Americans, poor people, uppity politicians and anyone who thinks he is full of shit. Count me in, Steve.

Winning justifies the means is the true Bannon mantra. Niccolò Machiavelli put it this way, “For although the act condemns the doer, the end may justify him…” Steve Bannon, in another life, and given more power, could become a Hitler. Remember, Adolf took over a party. Adolf used the angst and fear of a whole country to launch himself into power and destroy all those he thought were bad. Hitler and his evil empire justified all that they did in the name of the Vaterland or Fatherland. That very term says that we have to go backward to what our land was for our fathers. You know, when everyone knew his place.

There are those who say, “Well, not everything Hitler did was bad.” We can’t let anyone get away with that remark. And when Bannon says his goal is “the deconstruction of the administrative state” we should all ask what exactly does that mean? What comes next and why are you the expert?

Steve Bannon’s real goal is to be President. He believes that American voters are so dumb you can get them to do anything. I find it rather revealing that Bannon’s nickname for Donald Trump is “Archie Bunker.” Steve knows the President is so unaware of what is really going on, he can play him like a fiddle. We just hope it’s not Nero playing while America burns.

THE FLAWS OF LAWS

Trump’s Attempted Cover-Up

The latest episode in the continuing story of the demise of the Donald reminds me of the guy who was caught spray painting a harsh message about his ex-girl friend on a town wall. When he found out he was suspected of the wrong-doing, he went out late one night and painted his own name over his girlfriend’s name.

We expect a certain amount of dignity from the President of the United States. We respect the presidency because the office is part of our Constitution and was weaved into our government of Executive, Juridical and Legislative branches. If you love your country, you obey the rules that are the construct of those bodies. You don’t have to agree with everything, but there is a need for law and order in this great land of more than 330 million people.

As the plot against America, perpetrated on our country by a handful of rich megalomaniacs and twisted ideologs, develops into a fuller picture we see the stains, incompetence and misconduct wrapped into the lies of our fake president.

With four of the president’s men either under indictment or pleading guilty, and more than ten members of his inner circle gone within ten months, it’s apparent that this president of ours doesn’t have a clue about what he is doing. But wait, we have some breaking news.

On Saturday afternoon, Trump tweeted, “I had to fire General Flynn because he lied to the Vice President and the FBI. He has pled guilty to those lies. It is a shame because his actions during the transition were lawful. There was nothing to hide!”

It wasn’t long after that tweet that the internet was alive with the conclusion, using the known timeline, that if Trump knew that Flynn had lied to the FBI before he requested that Comey go easy on Flynn, then he was guilty of obstruction of justice. A first-year law student would know this.  Obstruction of justice — let’s review the meaning of that term.

Obstruction of Justice is the act of willfully interfering with the process of justice and law, especially by influencing, threatening, harming, or impeding a witness, potential witness, juror, or judicial or legal officer, or by furnishing false information in or otherwise impeding an investigation or legal process. If Trump knew Flynn had lied, and he was under investigation for that act of lying, then any attempt by Trump to impede that investigation would be a crime.

Trump’s John Dowd and Nixon’s John Mitchell

But wait, once again we have someone ready to fall on the sword for this president. On Sunday (12-3-2017), the President’s personal lawyer, John Dowd, took responsibility for the tweet that the Donald knew his former security adviser, Michael Flynn, had lied to the FBI before he fired Flynn in February. Wow!

Dowd must make a ton of money for him to lie for his client and risk losing his license to practice law. And if he wasn’t lying, that means that third parties have access to the personal Twitter account of the President of the United States. That is huge and frightening.

The President’s phycological Twitter-vomiting continued on Sunday, “After years of Comey, with the phony and dishonest Clinton investigation (and more), running the FBI, its reputation is in Tatters – worst in History! But fear not, we will bring it back to greatness.” I wonder how this would work if J. Edgar Hoover was running the FBI. Trump would likely be kissing his ring and bowing to Hoover, boa and all.

Trump should be asking why so many people dislike him. Really, could his policies be that bad, or does he just do a terrible job of being president? With all the press he gets, why do so many people hate him? Perhaps our great Orange Leader is suffering from over exposure.

We know that 65 million people voted against the Donald and he can’t seem to get above a 33% approval rating. Could he be simply out of touch with the majority, or totally in denial that most American’s don’t like his policies? Trump supporters can’t seem to answer these points without bringing up the past with some lame defensive comparison to Democrats. History will be written about this President, not his party. FACT: Clinton’s 65,844,954 votes (48.2%) to Trump’s 62,979,879 (46.1%).

Trump has been so focused on the Russian Interference investigation that he missed the real threats to his presidency, CONFLICT OF INTEREST, NEPOTISM and OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE.

If you want to examine the Russia situation, read Bill Moyers incredible web site. Click Here. It provides a full timeline of all things Russian and Trump. When you start at the top and work your way down to the bottom of that endless page, you will realize that Donald Trump has an unhealthy interest in Russia. It’s sad that we need three investigations to uncover the facts. If Trump had released his tax returns, we would know why his protectionism for an adversarial foreign power exists.

If you follow the leaks oozing from Trump’s miniscule brain via social media, you can chart his temperament and tactics. He’s like a 14-year girl plotting the overthrow of her main online popularity challenger. Reading between his tweet-words, Trump is admitting that he fears the FBI. He is terrified of being caught in his lies and is quite sensitive about anyone knowing how much he owes Russian banks. There should be a law about Presidents disclosing their vitals, both financial and physical. I call for an MRI of his brain!

It won’t be long before we will be hearing the mouthpieces of this White House say that the President cannot be charged with obstruction of justice, simply because he is the president. Well, John Dowd needs to go back and read the Supreme Court’s ruling on the Nixon tapes: The Court rejected Nixon’s claim to an “absolute, unqualified Presidential privilege of immunity from judicial process under all circumstances.” It held that a claim of Presidential privilege as to materials subpoenaed for use in a criminal trial cannot override the needs of the judicial process.

Here we are folks. If you are old enough to remember Watergate, you know what will happen next. In a quest for power, a lack of respect for the law and blatant ego-driven behavior of someone truly more interested in himself than our country leads to only one way out, IMPEACHMENT. Stand up and be counted.

LIES AND PROMISES

Trump Sinking into Swamp

The news that blasted across the media today was not surprising for those who have been following the salacious lies and sophomoric antics of an inexperienced, half-baked pumpkin politician who somehow was elected President. Retired General Michael Flynn has been charged with lying to the FBI. Flynn was Trump’s guy and held one of the most important positions in the administration for 24 days. He was privy to all security documents and top-secret information while working with foreign entities. If we were at war, he could be charged with treason.

For those asking what this means, Section 1001 of Title 18 of the United States Code states it’s against the law to knowingly and willfully make false or fraudulent statements, or conceal information, in “any matter within the jurisdiction” of the federal government of the United States. If convicted, one must either pay a fine, or go to jail for up to five years. Would Michael Flynn throw Trump under the bus to avoid five years in prison?

Trump has lied about many things. Trump said that Michael Flynn is a “good guy,” and in the end we will find out that there has been a glorified cover-up by then President-elect, and now President, of the United States. Imagine if the lunch today (12-1-2017) with Rex Tillerson produces a resignation. That would bring the number of people who have left the Trump Administration to more than ten people. What kind of person appoints people who apparently aren’t suited for such important positions? Or, perhaps the person hiring them has very poor judgement.

The Senate is now attempting to pass a tax reform that would add $1 trillion to the debt. What happened to Trump’s promises of reducing the deficit? He lied. Trump told us no one he knows talked to or met with Russians. He lied. The Donald said that he fired James Comey because of his Department of Justice analysis. He lied. Our Great Orange Leader told us he would not benefit from the new tax cuts. He lied. His enterprises will benefit greatly and his children will benefit by $1 billion on his death.

Lies from our President are unacceptable and have legal implications. Trump will learn painfully that he cannot tweet lies, pronounce untruths and foment hate and get away with it in America. We have a broken President, a hurtful and dysfunctional administration and a constitutional crisis here that can only be dealt with through IMPEACHMENT.

Are you brave enough to spread the word? It’s time to write to your representatives in Congress and demand impeachment. You can find their addresses and phone numbers here.
