THE ABUSE OF PARDON

Trump’s Final F.U. to America

We will have to rethink many things after Donald Trump leaves the White House. We certainly should look into the wisdom of and need for the Electoral College. We must also investigate the 73 offices of Inspectors General (1,600 employees), enforce their responsibilities and devise remedies to stop their abuses. At the very top of the list, we need to scrutinize the power of the President of the United States, especially as it applies to granting pardons, and make reforms as needed.

The notion of a “pre-emptive” pardon needs to be rethought. A relevant fact is the pardon that President Gerald Ford signed for Richard Nixon, who resigned the presidency in shame. It was good to go back and review the original text of the proclamation to grasp the full breadth of the issue. I am not a lawyer or Constitution scholar, but my understanding of words, thoughts and intents is valid. Look at this sentence:

“As a result of certain acts or omissions occurring before his resignation from the Office of President, Richard Nixon has become liable to possible indictment and trial for offenses against the United States. Whether or not he shall be so prosecuted depends on findings of the appropriate grand jury and on the discretion of the authorized prosecutor. Should an indictment ensue, the accused shall then be entitled to a fair trial by an impartial jury, as guaranteed to every individual by the Constitution.”

President Ford succinctly pointed out that Nixon did something before he resigned. He also is clear that “…the accused shall then be entitled to a fair trial by an impartial jury.” In his pardon of Nixon. Ford didn’t say a trial by jury could not take place.

Ford editorialized, “It is believed that a trial of Richard Nixon, if it became necessary, could not fairly begin until a year or more has elapsed.” But then, a few lines later, “The prospects of such trial will cause prolonged and divisive debate over the propriety of exposing to further punishment and degradation a man who has already paid the unprecedented penalty of relinquishing the highest elective office of the United States.” I bolded those words to highlight Ford’s ascertainment of Nixon and his ego, believing that resigning from the presidency would be punishment enough. Okay.

Here is where Ford’s moral grounding and precise language set in stone a firm legal precedent, “…have granted and by these presents do grant a full, free, and absolute pardon unto Richard Nixon for all offenses against the United States which he, Richard Nixon, has committed or may have committed or taken part in during the period from January 20, 1969 through August 9,1974.” Ford was quite clear that he was pardoning Nixon from any charges of federal crimes he may have committed while in office.

A question we’re now facing is whether a president can lawfully pardon themself. The Constitution is not vague at all. It’s noticeably clear in Article II, Section 2, Clause 1, “…and he shall have Power to grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offences against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment.” Again, I am not a lawyer, but by those words I assume that Donald John Trump cannot pardon himself of any of the charges brought against him during his impeachment trial. Yes, the Senate did not find him guilty, but couldn’t Trump face a Federal judge and jury to answer those charges once he leaves office?

Then there’s this. If a president can self-pardon, such an action negates American belief and tradition that no one is above the law. By allowing a president to self-pardon, whether preemptively or under a belief that he or she committed a crime, such action would place that person above the law! If the proclamation of pardon includes information regarding the crime committed, it would be less of a pardon and more of a legal confession.

Trump hired his kids and relatives for key government positions in violation of the Federal nepotism rules. Any pardon of them would be a conflict of interest on the highest order. If the power to grant “Reprieves and Pardons” was placed in the Constitution to right a possible error or deal with an abuse of power in the judiciary, it logically follows that a charge, trial and determination of guilt would be required before a person could be pardoned. Without such certainty, how would we ever know what they did?

So, let me lay out a hypothetical, but certainly an interesting scenario. Let’s say we had a very corrupt and nefarious person in the Oval Office. Hey, it could happen! Let’s further speculate this self-serving president revealed to another that he was going to pardon them of any federal crime they committed during the president’s term. Now, the pardoned person demands the Justice Department delete all the records of the investigations into their actions. The end result would prevent their premeditated crime from a legal action in court. Oh, wow, is that what the framers of our Constitution had in mind?

It is clear that Donald Trump has used his pardon power in full view to prevent associates from turning on him, and any threat to withhold a pardon becomes witness intimidation. If the Justice Department determines that a Trump subordinate has bestowed political contributions to Trump. or placed money into any of his enterprises, they should be slapped solidly by the long arm of the law. How can we enforce oversight and bring charges to a government operative who took an oath to a higher standard if we don’t know which laws they broke? Trump is an anti-law-and-order president, not a worthy caretaker of the pardon clause.

I know this may sound counterproductive, but I hope Trump does pardon himself. The ultimate “Hit the road Jack, and don’t you come back no more” moment will happen when the Supreme Court, politely and unanimously, tells Trump that he’s not above the law and brings charges against him. Donald Trump is just one of 44 other presidents, Grover Cleveland is counted twice. Effective legal action against him will help move our country back to some semblance of normal where Presidents protect us from not only bad actors but also from the government itself.

GOVERNOR WITHOUT A BRAIN

Florida’s Wooden Puppet: Ron DeSantis

Call me crazy, but I have always put people in one of two boxes. A given person is either a reasonable, self-respecting, caring being or a non-thinking, unaware dolt with a lack of will or capacity to learn. The non-learners who are blind to the facts, data and advice from experts are hard to support, especially when their hands, legs and mouths are driven by a single man in D.C.

I live in Florida, and in 2018 we had an election for a new Governor. The battle came down to a 42-year-old Republican attorney, former naval officer and politician who ran against the Democratic nominee, Andrew Gillum, the Mayor of Tallahassee. Mr. Gillum, an African American, waged an excellent campaign and lost by a slim margin. The election propelled Gillum to “next Dem-star status” and a job as a TV political pundit, but his world was about to come crashing down.

Andrew Gillum was reportedly one of three men involved in a drug overdose at a Miami Beach hotel room. No arrests were made, even though the substance in that room was rumored to be crystal meth. In a September 2020 interview with ABC’s Tamron Hall, Gillum came out as bisexual. Thus, things ended for the would-be wunderkind. I share these details for context. Many Floridians think we dodged a bullet with Gillum, but the other guy is a hacksaw of ignorance.

Governor DeSantis Measuring

Ron DeSantis has never secreted his love-affair with Donald Trump. He probably believes Trump’s support got him the win, but his obsession with that man has damaged him politically and hurt Florida’s fragile health system during the pandemic.

On May 20, 2020, Ron DeSantis was taking questions from the press about his administration’s handling of the COVID crisis in Florida. Standing next to Vice President Mike Pence, Governor DeSantis didn’t hold back, loudly blasting the press for their fearmongering and overall criticism of his state. DeSantis’ voice rose to a stressed and defensive pitch as he ranted, “Any insinuation otherwise is just typical partisan narrative trying to be spun and a lot of people in your profession who waxed poetically for weeks and weeks about how Florida was going to be just like New York in two weeks… Well, hell, we’re eight weeks away from that and it hasn’t happened!”

Yes, at that time Florida was averaging “only” 724 new cases over a seven-day average, but by July 20th that figure had climbed to 11,000. The mercurial nature of the global pandemic would have been understood by anyone who took the time to learn about novel viruses, but DeSantis was too busy trying to defend doing nothing.

Above all else, DeSantis wanted to please President Trump and not anger him. Now, Florida has more than one million people infected and almost 19,000 dead. In the insanity of this situation our governor has remained frozen and clueless and, yes Mr. DeSantis, Florida has become just like New York.

Just yesterday, when asked about a mask mandate for Florida, DeSantis maintained his opposition. “How has that worked out in the states that have done it? Has that stopped an outbreak in Minnesota, Illinois, Michigan. What about New Jersey? What about all these states where you have an explosion in cases? So, I mean, at some point, does the observed experience matter? I’m opposed to mandates. Period. I don’t think they work.” So, there you have it. Like ill-informed Donald Trump, DeSantis believes masks don’t work.

Support for DeSantis lies not in the major cities of Florida but in the panhandle, a much more conservative and pro-Trump region. Okay, but will there ever come a time when politicians stop the insanity of over-serving their base and direct their attention to the needs to of all the people?

We can make laws to prevent our leaders from doing bad things, but would it not make more sense to elect better people? During Ron DeSantis’ long rant about the press being the problem, he also said he was going to ask for criminal charges to be brought against Rebekah Jones, a scientist working on Florida’s coronavirus internet portal. Ms. Jones claims she was pressured to fudge the infection numbers to make the argument of reopening the state more convincing. Wouldn’t that mean that Ron DeSantis is corrupt?

As would be expected of Trump’s wooden puppet, Governor DeSantis sicced his dogs on Jones and called her a liar on social media. In the coming post-Trump era, we need better protections for whistleblowers. Of course, we must wait until 2023 to replace this hanging wall ornament named DeSantis, but he’s likely to do more damage between now and then. He has introduced a bill that would make it legal for a person to use their vehicle to run down protesters who are blocking a road. Really? That’s obviously against the First Amendment of the US Constitution, but I’m quite sure Ron “DeathSantis” has not read that document.

I wonder who will give DeSantis his orders after Trump is gone. Every discussion with Governor Ron sounds like an argument. I believe he avoids airtime on CNN and MSNBC not only because Trump wouldn’t like it, but because he fears the questions that might be asked. You know, queries like, “Do you regret yelling at the press when you were with Pence?”

A puppet becomes silent when their master’s arm is pulled out of their ass. Let’s hope that Puppet DeSantis learns to listen more, talk less and do the right things. Right now, he’s more concerned about reelection than what Floridians need to stay safe. Short of wearing makeup, it’s hard to tell Ron DeSantis from that other guy. What’s his name? Oh yeah, Donald John Trump, America’s biggest and worst loser ever.

ANTI-VAXXERS & LOSERS

The Trump Who Cried Wolf

The inconsistent messaging from the President of the United States of America has led to major problems. Some of us want to lay the burden and blame of death at his doorstep. A swirling nemesis raging across America has been caused by the irresponsible and misinformed statements of Donald Trump. The lasting, poisonous residue of this idiotic influence will need a mop-up by some brilliant P.R. and communication pros.

There was a moment during the 2016 presidential campaign when Donald Trump was asked if vaccinations caused autism. This website traces the history of vaccines and a quote there freshened my memory, “Donald J. Trump has frequently stated that he believes that vaccines can cause autism… In one of the primary debates, he dialed back his criticism a bit, stating, ‘I am totally in favor of vaccines, but I want smaller doses over a longer period of time.’

What this fake doctor and failed pumpkin-president cannot comprehend is that vaccines are precisely manufactured to include the minimum amount of what is absolutely necessary to induce enough of an immune response that the body can protect itself against disease. Trump’s faulty logic about little, tiny doses somehow being safer flows from his abysmal lack of understanding that too little serum would be useless, or maybe even more harmful.

When you examine the miniscule musings of Trump’s so-called brain, you can see not only the thousands of contradictions but the possible harm of his words. When he told us to put sunshine or ultraviolet light into our bodies, we just had to shake our heads, but when he suggested that injecting bleach into our lungs might cure COVID, the manufacturers had to issue a bulletin warning people that would be HARMFUL.

The ramblings of this “stable genius” have encouraged militant misbehavior of white supremacists and lunatic conspiracy groups. When I get pushback on this, I urge my critics to listen to interviews with these people. They believe in a “deep state” and they are deaf to the wisdom of educated experts. They wallow in the rapture of Trump while showing all the signs of a cult fellowship.

It’s utterly disturbing to take a walk down memory lane and count the people who are “problems” for Donald Trump. First, the Mexican men who were coming across the border were rapists and murderers. Next, all Muslims were bad people and he wanted to enforce a travel ban to the US of those holding the Islamic faith. Then, he decided that any judges who ruled against his unreasonable desires were either biased, or worse, Democrats.

He told us that Puerto Ricans were totally corrupt and didn’t deserve help after a hurricane unless they got down on their knees and kissed his ring. Does he wear a ring? He tossed rolls of paper towels at them, and then flew away with the words, “It’s an island, and very hard to get to.”

He preaches that we have been ripped off by every country of the world and he was going to fix that by insulting them to the point where they hate him. He has kissed the asses of Turkey’s Erdogan, Russia’s Putin and North Korea’s Kim Jong-Un to no avail. They have done exactly what they wanted. They won, we lost, have a nice day.

Donald John Trump lives in a plastic bag bubble that he’s pulled over his head to escape medical reality. It’s far more than appalling; it’s downright ignorant. Back in the 1960s, his father paid off some shyster doctor to write a fake analysis of his son’s “bone spurs,” yet Trump brags about playing baseball in his youth.

As “proof” of his health conditions, the Donald dictated a letter and his freaky, weird doctor published that account, which contained so many typos and hyperbole that most medical professionals simply laughed. It wasn’t until Dr. Ronnie Jackson slipped and disclosed that the 45th President of the United States suffers from heart disease that we learned this obese man is not at all in the kind of glowing health he brags about.

When my wife and I had our first child, we hired a woman to take care of our newborn so we could both continue working. She was an old-school lady from the deep south who claimed that the remedy for curing our child’s pink eye was squeezing a drop of her diaper urine into each red, infected eye. When we asked our pediatrician about this, he nearly jumped over the desk.

His explanation made sense. Urine is about 95% water, but also contains urea, chloride, sodium, potassium, creatinine and other dissolved ions, along with organic and inorganic compounds. Urea is a practically non-toxic molecule made of toxic ammonia and carbon dioxide. So, this plantation remedy might have worked in the early 1800s but might also contain the very bacteria that causes pink eye in the first place. So, NO NO! NO! Don’t do it.

Think about all I have just written and perhaps you will see Donald Trump as I do, an old, black lady spouting voodoo and remedies from some dark place in his tiny, bewildered mind. Millions of people think he’s right, and they hate Mexicans, Lawyers, Judges, Puerto Ricans, Democrats and Allies but, hey, that’s on them. If they drink the bleach and die, they are just stupid people. If they are loyal cult members and say they don’t wear a mask is because Trump doesn’t wear a mask, who can feel sorry for them when they get sick? They just follow orders and will gladly offer their life for the Chancellor of their Trump Reich.

Those who do not take the vaccine, will be at risk. The ones who do will be protected and most likely to survive. Charles Darwin has already explained this to us. Let’s move on.

CANCER ON THE PRESIDENCY

The Wrecking Crew of Giuliani & Powell

Some people get thrown into the spotlight of American history even when they don’t deserve any oxygen. Still, we give them the glory, and by “we” I mean the ever-needy media with their cameras and microphones catching the mucus of lies that drips out of their collective mouths.

I lived in New York when the Twin Towers collapsed after the 9-11 terrorist attacks and saw the leadership Mayor Rudolph Giuliani showed to the entire world during it all. I also attended a seminar where he spoke about leadership. It was illuminating and inspiring, so he wasn’t always like this. By “this” I mean his recent highly partisan and hairbrained activities on behalf of President Donald Trump.

I think Rudy started to fall off the logic track when he ran for president and obsessively used the 9-11 attacks as the reason why people should vote for him. Rudy’s “hero” claims, however, bothered those who lost family members and friends during the attack. After his unsuccessful run, Rudy started practicing law and using his fame and celebrity to gain high paying contracts to “advise” nations and people around the world.

Rudy Bleeding For Trump

As Giuliani became closer with Trump, he began a sort of conspiratorial process, warping the details of actual happenings or completely fabricating others to keep him tight with our bulbous leader. He showed Trump how easily he could morph pure, outrageous lies into “facts.” Trump was just paranoid enough to believe he needed Giuliani by his side, and this gave “the mayor” a golden opportunity to manipulate the President.

While Rudy was in Ukraine, he took a few facts at face value and then created a dark “deep state plot” around them, Russian leader Vladimir Putin played Rudy to increase his hold on the 45th President. While he was being tried for impeachment in the Senate, the Donald went crazy looking for defense lawyers. He found lots of willing partisan has-beens to lie for him, like Jeffrey Epstein’s good friend Alan Dershowitz.

Along that path, Trump picked up Sidney Powell, a lawyer from North Carolina with a connection to many cases and comments that blended right into the conspiracy-driven notions of our demented President. During a recent press conference held at the RNC in Washington, Ms. Powell showed her real skin.

Sydney Powell

Powell’s unsubstantiated conspiracy theories about election interference were disconcerting, even for some Republican supporters of Trump. Sidney claimed there was a “deep state plot” to frame Trump’s disgraced advisor Michael Flynn and, as his attorney, she was involved in getting Flynn to reverse his guilty plea.

Sidney Powell has promoted personalities and concepts associated with the QAnon conspiracy group. She has discussed a supposed effort involving international Communists, “globalists,” George Soros, Hugo Chávez (who has been dead since 2013), the Clinton Foundation, thousands of Democratic and Republican officials, including Trump ally and Georgia Governor Brian Kemp, to rig the election in favor of Joe Biden. Soon enough after spewing her falsehoods, she became the victim of the “cancel culture” of Fox News.

While making the rounds at all the pro-Trump media shows, Sidney Powell laid the foundation for her own demise. Tucker Carlson didn’t like Tucker’s approach, and he attacked her during a ten-minute monologue at the top of his Fox News show saying, “What Powell was describing would amount to the single greatest crime in American history; millions of votes stolen in a day. Democracy destroyed. The end of our centuries-old system of government.” He further disclosed that she became “angry and told us to stop contacting her” when his producers invited Ms. Powell to appear on his show and share her evidence. After that, the Trump sycophants attacked Fox News and their boy Tucker because he wanted to expose the evidence. Why?

The “cancel culture” that Tucker Carlson decries every night is very much alive at Fox News, and for years Rupert Murdoch has employed that approach to those he doesn’t like, just as Trump has. So, what would be more important to Trump? The opinions of Rush Limbaugh, Mark Leven and the far-right loonies, or his desire to overturn the election results? Ha! Do I have to ask?

Man Doing Brain Measurement

Last night, November 22, 2020, Sidney Powell’s Wikipedia page was suddenly updated: “Trump campaign lawyers Rudy Giuliani and Jenna Ellis issued a statement that Powell is “practicing law on her own” and is not (or is no longer) a part of the Trump legal team.” According to The Washington Post, “The Trump campaign cut ties with Powell because she was seen as harming Trump’s broader legal efforts, and that President Trump disliked the coverage she received on Tucker Carlson Tonight.” So, score another point for Tucker, who clearly must be the actual President of the United States.

Thus, we’re down to Trump’s two loyal lawyers, Jenna Ellis and Rudy Giuliani. Their legal arguments are just sanitized versions of what Sidney Powell was saying. When a lawyer of the sitting Republican President attacks a loyal Republican Governor of Georgia because the people of his state voted for Biden, I guess that is a road too far. Not that I would go out of my way to defend Brian Kemp, the voter suppression king of the south, but he signed the document that gave Joe Biden the state because he was doing what he is legally bound to do. He followed the law and didn’t cheat.

The ugly effect of Giuliani on the Trump presidency harkens back to the words John Dean said to President Richard Nixon during Watergate, “I think that there’s no doubt about the seriousness of the problem we’ve got. We have a cancer within — close to the presidency, that’s growing. It’s growing daily. It’s compounding. It grows geometrically now because it compounds itself.” Those are the actual words that Mr. Dean spoke to Nixon. Giuliani is a cancerous growth on Donald Trump’s legacy and presidency, but there is no one brave enough to make the rotund orange leader understand.

Sidney Powell was thrown under the bus because Rudy didn’t manage her, as if anyone could. They simply dismissed her because that’s how they roll. The American public has fired Donald John Trump, but he hasn’t yet received the word. He’s a fool surrounded by suckers and dupes, stark proof that Trump never took the job seriously. He’s just a spoiled brat game player on the playground, but he holds nuclear weaponry. He must be neutralized and removed, ASAP.

TRUMP PULLS OUT EARLY

Diplomatic Dunce Leads from Behind

I hate war, but as a moderate Democrat I know there are times when the big muscle of the American military must be used to deter the damage that insurgents, religious zealots and despots can wage on the world. As a student of history, I admire the brilliance of President Truman’s Marshall Plan. To recap, Truman saw the cost of war, in both human life and treasure, as unnecessary and curable. The simple act of giving aid in the form of goods and money to unstable areas of the world kept us out of war.

Our extremely transactional President misses the greater point about getting things in return for money. Peace is a moral priority and a monetary win-win. Trump must have missed that lesson in military school. Avoiding a war is sometimes the best a president can do. The Donald wants to pull out of war and military policing in places he decries as “shithole countries.” We give Pakistan a lot of money. According to Vox.com, “…since 2002, the US has given Pakistan over $14 billion in aid to combat terrorism and insurgents in the region. That money is meant to reimburse Pakistan for its ongoing efforts to defeat militant groups, and it forms part of the $33 billion in total help the US has given Pakistan over the same period.”

I would be remiss if I didn’t remind you that Pakistan aided Osama bin Laden for years, until we took him out – and I don’t mean on a date. How much should they get now? That a big question. Our current Commander in Chief thinks that pulling our troops out of Afghanistan and Iraq will please his base, but he offers no reckoning of how this will keep the world safer.

Two Dictators

The Donald tries to con our semi-allies, like Saudi Arabia, to do the dirty work, when they too are probably asking, “Gee, what’s in it for us?” Trump even seemed proud of letting Turkey’s Erdoğan and Russia’s Putin take control of the problems in Syria. Some see removing the USA from all that “Middle East crap” as a good thing. One of the many lessons I learned from reading Ronan Farrow’s book, War on Peace: The End of Diplomacy and the Decline of American Influence was the need for diplomatic solutions in foreign affairs. Trump has zero knowledge and no care to learn anything about how diplomacy works. He appointed homophobic and xenophobic Mike Pompeo to the post of Secretary of State to shield him from troubling facts. TOTAL FAILURE.

The overarching realty of Donald Trump is that he’s a lazy son-of-a-bitch. He has no desire or ability to dig into details and get a full picture. When the Secretary of Defense tries to lay out the pros and cons of a military action, Trump sees it as an affront and fires him. When a top cyber-security head assured America that the national election had no widespread fraud and was, in fact, the safest election ever, Trump dismissed the guy on Twitter. This president is simply unwilling to accept any fact that hasn’t been pre-approved by his little brain or big mouth.

I wish Trump would have pulled out early, but not when it might have put our troops at risk and, equally important, become the motivation for more evil groups like ISIS. After the administration announced the new troop withdrawals, what happened? Well, Al Jazeera was the first to report: “Four rockets have struck inside a heavily fortified area in Baghdad housing foreign embassies including that of the United States, according to the Iraqi military, signaling an apparent end to a temporary halt in attacks by Iran-backed militias targeting Washington’s presence in the country.” You see, actions have consequences, and our soldiers and personnel are now in danger because of the DONALD’S BIG MOUTH.

Adam Kinzinger, Republican

People like Representative, a Republican from Illinois, speak the truth to power and tell it like it is. This guy isn’t a political hack; he’s the real deal. Adam served in the Air Force Special Operations Command, Air Combat Command, Air Mobility Command, and Wisconsin Air National Guard and currently holds a rank of Lieutenant Colonel. In 2019, Kinzinger was deployed to the US/Mexico border to help maintain border security. He’s the person more Republicans should recognize as an expert on matters of military and national security. Rand Paul and Ted Cruz have little to offer in this regard.

The biggest question we currently face is how much further damage will Donald John Trump do to America between now and January 20. If the members of his cabinet and the Republicans in Congress had any balls, they would get with VP Pence and enact the 25th Amendment to remove Trump from office and power NOW! But they won’t.

If you wonder why Congress has such a low approval rating, just listen to what Mitch McConnell says. According to a July 2020 Gallup poll, “Congress’ Approval Drops to 18%” Trump hovered around a 40% approval rating, and he lost the election by more than five million votes. Biden achieved, so far, a grand total of 79,513,695 votes, a substantial mandate and the most votes anyone has ever gotten in a US election.

I won’t rub salt in the wounds of our great insulter. Trump now seems to be wearing a thicker layer of makeup. A shrink might suggest that the increased slathering indicates a greater need for ego protection. The makeup is a metaphor for the fake amour of a fallen leader. It’s time for this orange clown to leave the battlefield.

COVID-19 has ruined Trump’s presidency but given all of us vision into his lack of concern for detail, his open, deceitful denials and the way his inept governance has killed Americans. Why is he even in power right now? Yes, I endorse a peaceful transfer of power, but that process must protect us from this lunatic. The leaders in Congress should step up, but they won’t. Selfish bitches.

BLOWN MEDIA COVERAGE

Postmortem of 2020 Election Night

It’s easier to judge an event and the people involved in it once the incident is over and the parties involved have left the room. Looking back at my own life, I realize there have been moments when I acted foolishly on the fly. Maybe a look back at the election just passed will bring a different perspective to this major political event in a unique year that took no prisoners.

Blown Coverage

In football, sportscasters use the term “blown coverage” when a defensive player misses an assignment and allows a large gain by the offense. This usually involves the quarterback throwing a “bomb,” which is an extremely long pass to a receiver running quickly downfield. It’s embarrassing to the defense when it fails, but an exciting play for the offense. The entire world is now waiting for confirmation about who will become the US president for the next four years and we don’t need anyone bombing the coverage.

In the beginning of September, I took the liberty of sending a letter to the presidents or CEOs of all the major American media news outlets to share my “humble” advice with the people who controlled election night coverage. Here is that letter:

Dear News Executive:

You have an election night responsibility beyond your standard operating procedures. Just as you wouldn’t purposely create panic due to misinformation about a virus or natural disaster, you surely don’t want to force a constitutional crisis by announcing incorrect election results. So, what exactly should you do on election night? I have some suggestions.

First, this election will not be a sprint; it will be a marathon. You will want to have a grand conclusion on election night, but that is highly unlikely. All media outlets should agree that none will forecast any state result until the Secretary of State codifies their winners. I know this will take discipline on your part, but should you feel reluctant to slow things down just remember how foolish you looked with the Gore vs. Bush fiasco. You must manage the expectations of all Americans, while ignoring any conspiracy minded elephant in the room.

You might want to consider changing the format of election coverage. Instead of reporters jumping between multiple screens with miniscule bits of data, maybe employ an “appointment viewing” concept such as, 2020 RETURNS, GET AN UPDATE EVERY TWENTY MINUTES. Give us short, factual information packets and tell your audience you’ll stay on the air until all the ballots are counted. Think of the potential of increased viewing during the entire week.

I know you will be tempted to use exit polls to embellish the coverage because the results will be slow in coming, but I urge you not to do that. If you predict an outcome while ballots are still being counted, you will not only play into conspiracy theories that our election is corrupt, fixed or rigged, but you will confuse the voters. Yes, as much as your million-dollar graphics and skillful on-the-fly pundits and experts deserve to be seen and heard, it will be disastrous if you are later accused of lying.

The “red mirage” being talked about is a real possibility. Americans must believe you and trust that the election results you broadcast are real. Your reputations are presently diminished in the beacons-of-truth and accurate information categories. It’s not entirely your fault. As I have said to my neighbors, we won’t agree on talking points, but we must always agree on facts. It’s your job to deliver verified truth in a way that the word “retraction” is never needed.

You can avoid the crossfire if you ignore the temptation to be sucked into the hyperbole and misdirection of being first with the results. Please, think about how to make this a positive, fact-based event, not a mistake.

I don’t claim to be a visionary or media guru, but my soft warning was mostly ignored. There were some who got it, like Fox News’ Chris Wallace reporting on election night that major swings in the results were likely due to shifts in the ballots that were bring counting. Wallace correctly said, “That’s not anybody stealing the election. That’s simply the order in which votes are being counted.”

Not all of our media outlets did that. CNN’s John King and NBC’s Steve Kornacki frantically poked their touch screens, constantly flipping between 2016 stats and the current race with non-stop, incomprehensible babble about the “meaning” of the incomplete tallies. I guess they have only one format, one speed, one protocol for election night, and they weren’t about to modify that for you, the viewer. It’s what they do.

The combination of the media’s sleight of hand and President Donald John Trump’s fake victory speech at two o’clock in the morning made this coverage terrible, by any measure. From the East Room of the White House, the President attacked the legitimate vote counting effort, baselessly calling it “fraud.” Trump eventually claimed he “did win the election,” despite the millions of votes that were not yet counted. Had the media better managed election expectations, the blathering of crazy man Trump would have had a much-reduced effect.

There is no doubt that former Vice President Joe Biden is the president-elect, but that is not stopping Trump from building a mountain of misinformation around himself and the election results. His hardcore sycophants will continue to wave their flags and march in the streets until the dull orange man in the White House admits he’s lost the election and proceeds with the peaceful transfer of power. He must do this.

The TV and news programmers achieved their goal of holding us to their coverage for as long as possible, but at what cost? The cable news channels did an incredibly great job of repulsing people. Saturday morning, I called two good friends about the Biden victory. They didn’t know because they had turned off the electronic hype. Great job, media!

This was an interesting election, the only ever conducted in the midst of a pandemic with a lunatic liar as the incumbent. Hopefully, this environment will not occur for at least another hundred years. Trump will be a distant memory by then, and we will have learned valuable lessons about the deadly combination of an insidious virus and a fatuous fraud in the White House.

STOP MAKING THINGS UP

Trump’s Insidious Truth-Bending

The President of the United States is claiming that foreign nations or domestic bad actors broke into our election systems to change the vote counts against him. Now you might think I am exaggerating this, but here’s a Twitter quote from the man himself: “REPORT: DOMINION DELETED 2.7 MILLION TRUMP VOTES NATIONWIDE. DATA ANALYSIS FINDS 221,000 PENNSYLVANIA VOTES SWITCHED FROM PRESIDENT TRUMP TO BIDEN. 941,000 TRUMP VOTES DELETED. STATES USING DOMINION VOTING SYSTEMS SWITCHED 435,000 VOTES FROM TRUMP TO BIDEN.” Let me add some clarity to his words. Dominion Voting Systems is a corporation that makes and sells electronic voting hardware and software. Dominion is a Canadian company with US Headquarters in Denver. They have strongly and convincingly refuted Trump’s claims.

Internet messaging protocol suggests a person posting in all caps is SCREAMING! So, our crazy, current president is screeching his claims of fraud. His tweet inspired action in the intelligence community and they quickly responded with a news release. The group, including the Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) and the National Association of State Election Directors, issued what appears to be a definitive coda to the 2020 vote.

“There is no evidence that any voting system deleted or lost votes, changed votes, or was in any way compromised. All of the states with close results in the 2020 presidential race have paper records of each vote, allowing the ability to go back and count each ballot if necessary. This is an added benefit for security and resilience. This process allows for the identification and correction of any mistakes or errors.” Do you know what? I’m going to believe these guys and not the President.

Biggest Crowd, PERIOD!

We are 69 days away from removing this narcissist from the White House. Most believe he will never concede to Biden or admit that he lost. As he has done over the last four years, Donald Trump seems to take joy in making things up, even if they embarrass our country or mislead our allies. Everyone in the world knows this man cannot be trusted, and many of them are lining up to phone Uncle Joe and congratulate him. They know it’s over; why doesn’t Trump?

This just in: the Pennsylvania law firm to bring the suit against the state wanting them not to count any mail-in ballots that arrived late but postmarked before or on Election Day, withdrew from the case. In the motion filed at 11:53 p.m. on Thursday, Porter Wright lawyers Ronald Hicks and Carolyn McGee — who work out of the firm’s Pittsburgh office — said the campaign was “in the process of retaining and causing other counsel” to take over the case. The attorneys said they and the campaign had agreed on the withdrawal, but Hicks and McGee were vague about the reason for their exit. I guess one cannot just make things up in court?

It’s shameful that the US State Department is not forwarding messages they receive addressed to President-Elect Joe Biden. It reminds me of a romantic breakup in high school, where two immature ex-lovers take inappropriate steps when ending their relationship. Yes, Donnie, it’s hard to take but can’t you suck it up? Everyone in the world thinks you’re a cry baby, even the Republicans.

Not letting GSA Administrator Emily W. Murphy execute the transition paperwork to facilitate activities, budgeting, office space and, most importantly, daily national security briefs for Biden is a childish, high school maneuver that will be challenged today by several high-ranking Republicans. The President is more focused on firing people he doesn’t like before Christmas, than fighting the virus or facing the fact that he lost the election! Get over it, Donald!

Truth-bending is just as harmful as lies, and some of his supporters say it’s just Donald’s “cute way.” The truth is, Trump’s main method of operation is always based on made up stuff because he won’t take any time to understand the truth. I’m sure you have known people who grab onto a belief early in life and then make it a focus. A well-respected businessman once told me to never trust a man who smokes a pipe. Okay, lots of smart and worthy men smoked pipes but this guy locked onto that one incorrect belief.

Bad Face Day

I have this thing about Trump’s makeup. A few men in my past wore makeup. One professor I studied under wore a light covering on his face. I always thought he was covering up his closeted homosexuality. I worked in theater and was around a great deal of makeup in those days, but that had a purpose of entertainment. Why is Donald John Trump orange?  Seriously, why? When he holds his hands up near his face you can see the vast difference in hue between his mug and fingers.

The lawsuits and the scam of raising money to help him save America from this “rigged election” precisely align with his usual ways of dealing with life challenges. He never looks in the mirror, takes off his makeup and calls it a day. He is driven to call people late at night to bolster his frail and damaged ego. What is most disturbing is the way his rhetoric and deceit have been adopted by other people in high places. When Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick was confronted with the findings of the Heritage Foundation that no widespread voter fraud was uncovered in America, he bluntly blurted, “They are wrong.” That’s it, Dan? That’s all you have? Where’s your evidence or proof? Remember, the Heritage Foundation is a conservative think-tank that picked all of Trump’s Supreme Court nominations. Just saying something is NOT TRUE doesn’t make it so. It makes the person speaking the words look stupid.

Without facts and evidence, no one should believe anything Trump says. I cannot believe I am saying this about a US President, but it’s true. Trump lies about almost everything. Those times he uses an unrelated fact to “prove” an untruthful statement are nothing more than lies. It’s similar to the way some believe that that saying, “All Lives Matter” defeats the slogan Black Lives Matter, which they fear means “White Lives Don’t Matter.” A bad cop, regardless of race, is a bad cop. I don’t have to add that “not all cops are bad” to soften the danger or reality of bad cops.

The best thing now would be some adult forcing Trump into normal order so our long-standing traditions can move us toward a peaceful transition. I don’t need to see Joe and Don sitting in the Oval Office, awkwardly and uncomfortably posing with each other. I don’t need to see Donnie and Melania standing behind the Chief Justice swearing in Joe Biden in as the 46th President of the United States. Those things would be nice, but realist-me understands they are not likely.

Nothing about Trump is nice. We wish him well, but good riddance! “Don’t let the door hit you where you sit.” Oh, and see you in court, Donald!

LETTER TO 70 MILLION PEOPLE

Trump Must Stand Down, Work on Transition

One of those phrases people say too much is “change is the only thing that is inevitable.” Of course, nothing stays the same. Without change, humankind would have been wiped out long ago. Today, once again, we are all facing the reality that change is underway.

Politics have been likened to war, but people die in war. The coronavirus was compared to the flu, but many more died from COVID. With this opening, I would like to address the 70 million people who voted for Donald Trump.

Dear Fellow Americans,

First, I know how you feel. Yes, that might sound hollow, but it’s true. Right after Barack Obama was elected president in 2008, the Republican Leader of the Senate said that his sole focus would be making sure Obama was a one term President. That comment troubled me. I thought it was not only highly disrespectful to the millions of people who voted for Obama but also unproductive given that Obama just happened to be the first African American elected to the highest office in America. See, politics is somewhat like war.

After the Civil War, President Abraham Lincoln directed his generals to let the Confederates return to their homes unharmed. That was more than gracious; it was a healing moment. Sadly, it didn’t help Lincoln because he was assassinated by a hardcore Southern radical.

You are in the rapture of hero worship, which is a real thing. Heidi Schlumpf wrote an article in the National Catholic Reporter nine years ago titled Dangers of hero worship. Heid wrote, “As humans, we love stories. That’s why Jesus told parables, and why his own story has fascinated for centuries. Let’s just be sure to put our worship where it belongs — on God.” This is also my message to those who have invested so much emotional energy in Donald Trump. They gave his campaign tons of money and their purchase of flags, signs and stickers to show their loyalty created a moneymaking industry. Donald Trump is not God. He’s just a man with a large and convincing pitch.

Trump has lied to you so much, and I can understand your difficulty comprehending facts. You didn’t compare his words with any reasonable data. You could have done that, you had TV and an internet connection, but you failed yourself by relying on the words of others on Trump’s approved list. I watched a ton of Fox News during the election returns and was mystified about them calling the state of Arizona for Biden so quickly. Just like stubborn Trump, Fox would NOT take their projection back to a pending status. Yes, their partner, the Associated Press, motivated the forecast but it was a prime example of forcing a fact rather than waiting for the truth.

Perhaps I have digressed. This letter isn’t about the news channel you watch. It’s a sincere attempt to lead you to reality. The same process that declared Trump a winner in 2016 was used this year, but because Trump cannot accept the outcome you won’t either. The Donald is dictating what you think. How is that American? Believe in the country first, not him. It’s supposed to be America First, not Donald Trump.

Lots of Trump administration workers will lose their jobs within the next 70 days, and then on January 20, 2021 they will all be gone. Oh, you will still see them on TV and hear them on the radio, but they will no longer be affecting your life. I hope you will find your way to working with Joe Biden for positive change. It will be futile to continue riding around in your ISIS-like pickup trucks with the flags of your fallen leader. He has been fired from his job and won’t be around too much longer, despite his false claims to the contrary.

I don’t want to be vindictive or obnoxious. I have already heard from Trump supporters who have asked that I stop calling people “racists” and making fun of Donald Trump. They are asking me to respect the man. Really? I respect those who have earned it. I don’t respect Trump, but I do respect and care for all who voted for him. You have been greatly abused and disrespected. It’s now time for you to break free from this powerful person who wants to control you. Can you?

I have confronted some serious attitudes out there, true resentment. Last July I published a book titled How To Hire Great People. Most people thought I was crazy to write a book about hiring people when so many were being laid off from work. I have always promoted the book as something positive, a work that can help managers become better interviewers so they can find the great people who need work.

I had a surprise earlier. I knocked on one of my neighbor’s doors to give him a copy of my book. He works in finance and I figured that if he liked the book, he might recommend it to his clients. I handed him the book, smiled behind my mask, and said enthusiastically, “We’re coming back in this country!” He replied harshly, “If we even have a country.” I was taken aback, but quickly added, “Did you see the stock market?” He immediately blocked, “That has nothing to do with Biden.” I acknowledged it was triggered by the wonderful claim from Pfizer that their COVID vaccine is 90% effective. As I left, my neighbor said, “That’s all Trump.” I walked away feeling like I took something from him rather than giving him something that took me a year to write.

Why do intelligent people like you believe that electing a moderate Democrat like Joe Biden will make the United States of America crumble? 70 million people are still caught in this web of deceit. Why?

I hope that all those Trump flags can be recycled to make tents in refugee camps in other countries. Perhaps that fabric, no matter where it was made, can do some good. You might want to hang your flag in the garage and hope that the prodigal son returns. I hope you won’t. It’s not too late to liberate your soul. Don’t get pulled into a dark and violent set of values that stand against the Republic. You have a choice. Please join with us, all of us, and let’s get back to making and keeping America great. We want you to work toward the common good. READ MORE, talk less.

And finally, know that we love you. Because Donald Trump received no real love from his sadistic father, he used you in an attempt to get what he needed. Please stand up, while he stands down. Be an individual, a good citizen, and help heal the divide. We will never tell you to go back to where you came from. We will always embrace you. Just stop with all the conspiracy shit, it makes you look dumb. It’s not you. It’s the fake dogma that’s dragging you down. Seek peace and unity, or just be quiet. Peace.

Sincerely,

Dwight C Douglas

PENETRATING TRUMP’S BRAIN

Who Will Talk Him off the Ledge?

My father’s side of the family came to America in the late 1600s. According to family accounts, they came into James River, Virginia, then traveled up through Dover, Delaware, and finally settled in Lancaster, Pennsylvania around 1720. Most of these ancestors’ offspring were farmers, and it took them about a hundred years to spread across the state to Western Pennsylvania and Pittsburgh.

At this writing, we have just received the projected vote count in my home state. As much as this process has created tensions, nervousness and even anger with many citizens, we are finally have a conclusion to this drama. We dealt with the recovery of a damaged democracy after the Civil War, and we can’t even agree on what would have made that work better.

Trump and real president

While I was clicking on my keyboard earlier, an ABC News story came across. “This week, judges in Nevada, Georgia, Pennsylvania and Michigan have rejected the [Trump] campaign’s efforts to halt the counting process, if only temporarily, or alter it in some way based on shaky allegations of improper or nefarious conduct.” The best line in the story relates to U.S. District Judge Paul Diamond. “He appeared startled when the lawyers then acknowledged that the observers had, in fact, been permitted within 15 feet of the poll workers.” Diamond cracked, “I’m sorry, then what’s your problem?” Diamonds don’t usually crack.

Just about all Democratic internet posters have the same question. Who should be the one who will tell Trump his show has been cancelled? It won’t be his Chief of Staff; Mark Meadows just came down with COVID. Might it be Lindsey Graham, Trump’s golfing buddy? How about Mitch McConnell, leader of the Senate?  Who will have their “Barry Goldwater” moment with the Donald? You might recall that it was Senator Goldwater who dropped the reality bomb of removal on Nixon and convinced him if he didn’t resign he would be impeached and removed from office.

Maybe it will be Ivanka, Melania and Jared Kushner, coming into the Oval Office to smooth talk their way through his swollen ego to get him to admit it’s over? Nah, that won’t happen. I don’t mean to sound demeaning, but Donald’s current wife is loyal to her marriage. She’s merely an actress brought out like a trophy to speak the lines written for her. It will also not be Ivanka and Jared. They are both greedy bastards succeeded because they have the same moral-less values of winning no matter what. They have the most to lose from Trump’s removal from office. They will be continuously testifying to committees and courts for the next five years of their lives.

This brings us to the only thing that motivates Trump, money. Perhaps fellow rich powerbroker, Rupert Murdoch might be able to get through to Donald Trump. In case you don’t know, Murdoch is worth $16 billion and was originally from Australia. He owns tons of newspapers and media companies around the world, including Fox News and the Wall Street Journal. Trump knows Murdoch and he always takes his call. Why would Murdoch do this?

Rupert Murdoch

I may be sounding a bit diabolic, but Murdoch’s Fox News empire will benefit if Trump loses and goes away mad. For the next four years Murdoch’s network would be able to exploit those sore losers and loners who love the Donald. If Trump stays in office, by hook or crook, Murdoch will have to make his network more responsible and accurate and that would be bad for ratings.

What could Rupert possibly say to Donald that would inspire him to maturely deal with the loss of the presidency but still have something to look forward to? Well, what if he were to offer him a daily show on Fox News? Trump’s ego and narcissism are his central drivers, and he would revel having a daily show where he could bark out his dogma to the world. This would also be a huge win for Fox News because a Trump show will guarantee big ratings and tons of advertising bucks. What could this new job be worth to Trump? I say he might become desperate for a platform should Twitter take down his personal account when Trump leaves office. He has used that as a mouthpiece for his administration and I don’t think it would be appropriate for that account to persist.

I know it seems ludicrous that a former president would make that kind of move but look at what George H.W. Bush did after being a one-term president. He joined the Carlyle Group and exploited his fame for millions of dollars in Arab oil interests. Even one of the Bin Ladens were on his board. After his one-term wonder presidency, Jimmy Carter helped build homes for those unable to afford housing in America. Big difference.

Trump will have many coming after him after January 29, 2021, and it won’t solely be about job offers. The Southern District of New York has some legal matters on its desk. Maybe a new administration will reinstate Geoffrey Berman as the US Attorney in the Southern District so he can complete his work there. There are many other cases and issues that need to be resolved in courts. Trump could do his daily show from the veranda of Mar-A-Lago, sipping diet Cokes and making fun of the people in charge, just as he does now.

Only time will tell, but from my vantage point I see lots of work that must be done. For example, President Trump has signed, 193 Executive Orders since January 2017. Many of them are toothless commentary, rather than substantial policies. Some of them, when challenged in the court, were found to be border line unconstitutional. Others are extremely damaging and must be eradicated ASAP. The most important next step is to replace all the horribly damaged or totally unqualified people Trump has installed in powerful positions. At the top of my list are the Attorney General, the Postmaster General, administrators in EPA, DHS and the entire Trump cabinet. Then there’s Homeland Security and its 240,000 employees who are in desperate need of real leadership!

Rupert are you listening? Remember that Civil War and bodily removal of a president are bad for business. And might I say that Donald John Trump doesn’t want the lasting-forever Wikipedia page showing him being escorted out of the White House. While that would be grossly embarrassing for him, it would be much more so for all of AMERICA.

OUR 3D PRESIDENT

Demeaning, Delusional & Dangerous

The ingredients are all there. Start with an overinflated, uncontrollable ego. Add a controlling, yet absent, father and a notion that you are the chosen person. Now slowly blend in a narcistic personality disorder combined with a depression era martyr syndrome doused with a thick layer of “go fuck yourself,” and there stands Donald John Trump.

There are three distinct drivers at the core of this man. The need to put down or bully others gives him a false sense of worth. He demeaned God by saying he will never ask forgiveness. He degrades women with misogynistic attitudes and actions, transparently hating them because of an unfulfilled need for a mother who couldn’t nourish and take care of him. He is a pathological liar, driven by a need to create the illusion that he knows something that others don’t, not realizing that most of us clearly understand he doesn’t know what he’s talking about.

His grandiose way of talking shows not only a lack of logic but what I call the “snowflake delusion.” When Donald Trump says he’s the least racist person in the room, then adds that he can’t even see everyone in the room, he exposes himself and his lie to any intelligent witness. The myth that no two snowflakes are ever alike cannot be proven unless every snowflake is captured and compared with all others. That is impossible, of course, and Trump’s self-aggrandizement with statements like, “I’m the only one who can fix it,” or “I’m the only one who knows the truth” illustrate his deep seated need to be smarter and better than everyone else in the world. He continually swirls in a delusional dance with himself truly believing that, “no one else has ever before seen the likes of —.”He is the center of his own world and his need for love fuels a delusional belief that nothing he does or says is ever mundane. It’s a pattern of unfulfilled neediness that may soon explode into desperate action.

When I first saw the title of his niece’s book, Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the World’s Most Dangerous Man, I thought Mary L. Trump had gone too far. After reading her work, however, I get it. By using a the familiar construct of Donald-speak, Mary holds a lens to his orange face and we clearly see the golden boy, the chosen heir, the little miss “can’t be wrong” starring back at us. It’s just the tip of an iceberg that is dangerous to himself and others. Mary probably believes that the constant demeaning behavior of the spoiled, middle child helped kill her father, Donald’s brother, Freddy. Now we have an unusual and unnecessary number of Americas dead from a pandemic that the Donald ignored.

When someone in his circle does something wrong, he recites the refrain, “I hardly know him.” He contorts his face into a look of innocence he has perfected over the years. When he gets caught, he immediately acts surprised and then blames someone else. His very essence destroys the credibility of his words and the institutions and companies around him. He even debases those relationships he brags about. President Xi of China and President Putin of Russia don’t give a shit about Donald Trump. They are smart actors who know this fake blonde from Queens is a mark, a target, and far removed from American royalty. They laugh at him behind his back, knowing when they play him they make our nation less safe.

Donald Trump doesn’t comprehend his incompetence because he has been trained to deflect all blame or responsibility. Golf is a perfect game for him because it provides what is called a “mulligan,” a second chance for a “do over” to erase a mistake. Blunders never appear on Trump’s scorecard because he gives himself extra attempts  to cover them. Golf doesn’t kill people, but a president can kill, or simply look the other way when murder happens on their watch. Think Jamal Khashoggi.

He wonders out loud to Bob Woodward about his affinity for bad leaders and inability to get along with our allies. He admitted liking people he’s not supposed to as some kind of self-worth enhancement because he’s incapable of doing what he should. He’s the radio shock jock told by his boss not to say the word “douchebag” on the air, and then uses the word fifty times during his next show. Trump can’t see this, but he humiliates himself by doing the wrong things for the wrong reasons. His rebellion has lowered the image, value and safety of his own country.

His dangerous self-image is that of a radical, burn the house down dude, when in reality this little boy needs his father, who is no longer here. He simultaneously wants to have his father and everyone else love him, while he also wants to spit in all those faces. He’s the spoiled brat who rips up the game he’s just lost, leaving a path of destruction behind him. Trump doesn’t need a cabinet to carter to his every whim; he needs a fucking shrink.

Donnie uses the word, “disgraceful” as a weapon against anyone who challenges him. Every woman is “nasty” or “dirty” or “low IQ.” He kept struggling Black people out of his low-income housing because that was the way his father got rich. Donald Trump is a fraud and a fake, projecting those very attributes onto our election process. He has no moral compass because he is his own north star. Every direction, every decision, leads back to him. Donald, the mistakes you made during the past four years weren’t Obama’s fault or caused by Hillary’s emails. They’re all on you, DONALD. When anything goes wrong with something you claim to run, it’s YOUR FAULT.

Donald Trump could have used his latest press conference to soothe and calm the nation. But NO! He launched into a list of hearsay and conspiracy theories about election fraud. It was like a little league coach losing a game because he thought the umpire made a bad call, punching the umpire, then, punching the opposing coach in the mouth.

Us Americans with half a brain are tired of Donald Trump’s demeaning routines. We are nervous because of his delusional, flip-flopping habits and we see this man for what he is, a dangerous, exposed nerve ending with no redeeming qualities just waiting to blow. If he keeps encouraging and creating violence and harm in this country, then the “law & order” guy must just get a dose of his own medicine. He will probably look good in orange.

The book that tells it like it is…

Gold, God, Guns & Goofballs: If you only read one chapter of this book, try “Take a Knee for America” and think about our never-ending conflicts between minorities and the police. I’m not asking you to take a stand but having a deep and honest conversation about why some people think the way they do would be productive. This is a book for the moment which seeks to start a conservation about peace. And if you are worried about social media, you really should check out the chapter called “Social Media Menace.”
