THE PROBLEM WITH RON DESANTIS

Another bottom feeder polictician – grifter

I am sure Ron and Casey DeSantis are nice people away from the bright lights of politics, but I have many political questions for our governor. I wonder whether he respects the rights of children, if he understands the need for equality among “all the people” and whether he supports the sanctity of immigrants in America.

It would be too easy to spray the criticism that everything DeSantis has done as governor was only to further his national political ambitions. It appears that once he got the Governor job, he was living every moment to get another one… in Washington.

As the grandson of Italian immigrants, one would hope DeSantis had more empathy for the immigrant’s plight, but alas, it’s a case of, “We’re in, close the door behind us.” Florida is made up of immigrants and workers from everywhere. Why the constant condemnation of that class? DeSantis’ stunts and statements would have us believe he doesn’t care about what America stands for. Immigrants are people, not political punching bags.

Harassing large corporations that provide thousands of jobs is bad business, while giving another big donor exclusive rights to Covid shots reveals a payoff in the plan. Why did I have to drive four hundred miles to get my shot? Please stop bragging about how great you did. It was just okay.

We hear so much about respecting the rights of parents, but what about the rights of children?  From banning Critical Race Theory, certain books and gender realization, DeSantis is kowtowing to the base, not protecting all the kids. One must ask, who decided that a child’s rights could be ignored, besmirched and ridiculed by the state? Will the governor and his wife attend funerals to comfort the parents mourning their trans or gay teen’s suicide due to constant bullying? Sadly, he will not be involved in the problem he exacerbated.

I’m puzzled by the DeSantis political family who rails against liberal elitism but sends their kids to private schools. I assume they think they are fixing education, but so far, they have created far more conflict, drama and fear than advances.

When the governor in his high-heeled cowboy boots rode his white horse into government, he was just a cheap imitator of Donald Trump. His actions, words and deeds since then have shown a man who truly doesn’t care about anyone else’s viewpoint. Florida doesn’t need a baby Trump; we’ve got the real one.

The facts are clear. Mr. DeSantis had no discussions with the families of LGBTQ kids before he handed Tallahassee his abominable bucket of hate: the “Don’t Say Gay” bill. He also had no consultations with the communities of color that he cut up like chum on the beach to gerrymander his way to power. He just did it without the regard for the voters’ rights in those places. If only Ron was honest about it all.

The lack of respect for equality and the Voting Rights Act are just as bad as his ploughing through the policies in education that were meant as safeguards for equality. Getting rid of much of what the New College of Florida was all about, only to suggest that adding sports teams will bring people back to the institution, feels a lot like “Biff” from Back to the Future being put in charge of education. It’s sad that a graduate of Harvard and Yale would see public education as an evil force. Maybe he doesn’t care about kids.

The idea of a “woke ideology” coming to take your freedoms away is much like Chicken Little screaming, “The sky is falling!” I still have no idea what “woke” means, but it’s clearly Ron’s N-word.

The fundamental problems of Ron DeSantis are his obvious desire to rewrite history, control the future and force all citizens to adopt his way of life. If “freedom” is really your north star, Mr. Governor, then why do you keep telling us what to do, how our doctors will treat us and even who to love. The demeaning discrimination on display so far proves he’s a bad governor and would be a horrible president.

THE COUP THAT COLLAPSED

Trump Stoked an Insurrection Based on Lies

Everything that Donald Trump has said and done shows he is one pure-ass fake. Some might call what I am about to state here treason, but I will speak my mind without fear of intimidation or party affiliation, unlike those spinless Republican Senators who will not convict the former President of crimes against America.

In a different time and age, Mr. Trump would have been brought into magistrate court, charged with treason and shot on the public green the next morning. I’m not saying we should do this today, but he should know that had he lived in France during the two decades after that country’s revolution, he would have been beheaded. Sedition, treason and insurrection were not crimes one could argue away in court.

Most of America has now seen the freshly released images of the Capitol Hill riot on January 6. If Donald Trump is not to blame, then who is responsible for those crazy people who stormed the Capitol? Is it Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, 4Chan, 8Chan or maybe Charlie Chan? Could it have started with Carlos Danger and Anthony Weiner’s dick pics, or has it simply “been brewing for some time now” as I hear endlessly from the puckered pieholes of pundits and prognosticators reading the grievance tea leaves in Russian restaurants? They are all full of shit, just like Trump and his ludicrous lawyers.

Attorney Castor

I say they are stupid. Why? Trump lawyer Bruce Castor actually offered these words in the halls of Congress during the impeachment trial, “We are so understanding of the concept that people’s minds can be overpowered with emotion, where logic does not immediately kick in, that we have recognized examples that otherwise would be hearsay and said that, no, when you’re driving down the street, and you look over at your wife, and you say, ‘Hey, you know what, that guy is about to drive through the red light and kill that person,’ your wife can testify to what you said, because, even though it’s technically hearsay, it’s an exception, because it’s the event living through the person.”

Okay, let me wipe some of this horse shit off my shoes before I launch into my own personal rant. What the fuck does any of that mean? I can only assume that he’s trying to plant a seed that the bad things you will hear about are being were told by people who don’t know what they are talking about, so just ignore them. YES, that must be it! Trump’s personal lawyers are saying that there is nothing to see here and we should ignore hearsay even when it comes out of the ex-president’s mouth.

If a person lies to their attorney, and their lawyer then presents that lie as a defense in a court of law, that doesn’t make it any less of a lie. His attorneys are going try to sell the Senators and the American public a premise that Trump was merely using his First Amendment rights while talking to a group of really good people and he bears no responsibility for what they later did on Capitol Hill. Okay, let’s examine that. There are only two conclusions one could draw from that scenario. One, Donald John Trump is such a bad communicator that no one understood what he was saying or, two, the group assembled that day was so stupid they misinterpreted him.

Trump’s more than 11,000-word speech, complete with audience reaction, is right here, Donald Trump JAN 6 2021 Speech should you wish to read it. Without a shadow of doubt, his words were an incitement to insurrection. His detailed, final pitch to sell the big lie about election fraud also featured a compendium of grievances of those who have so mistreated him. Poor baby. In his final act, the martyr stood before his adoring crowd saying it’s time to take back your country, be strong and fight like hell. And let’s not forget that there is nothing good about hell.

Trump used the words “fight” or “fighting” 27 times, but only used the word “peaceful” once. It came near the end of his 75-minute speech, “We have come to demand that Congress do the right thing and only count the electors who have been lawfully slated. I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard.” So, there is the “out” that his lawyers will argue for 16 hours at trial. Really? That’s it? The other 11,000 words don’t matter?

To delegitimize the rightfully elected 46th President of the United States, Donald pulled this one out of his index box of hate and lies, “I just spoke to Mike [Pence]. I said, Mike, that doesn’t take courage. What takes courage is to do nothing. That takes courage, and then we’re stuck with a president who lost the election by a lot, and we have to live with that for four more years.” Yes, Mr. Trump, that is how elections work. You should remember; you won one.

Mike and Karen Pence Rushed Away from Danger

Trump’s berating of his Vice President and confrontation with his inability or desire to break the law could have cost Mike Pence his life, along with those of his daughter and wife. Not only did Trump stir up the mob’s viciousness, he also directed their ire to Mr. Pence. But it didn’t end with his spoken word, Trump made it worse by tweeting to the insurrectionists at 2:24 PM, “Mike Pence didn’t have the courage to do what should have been done to protect our Country and our Constitution.” So, the Donald turned up the heat on Pence as the mob was in the Capitol building screaming, “Hang Mike Pence.” Loyalty?

What if the pack had captured and murdered Mike Pence? Would the Republican Senators then be more likely to convict this loser of a president and disqualify him from ever holding Federal office again? That’s a tough question, but it gives me no certainty they would convict. Their vote is always for sale and Donald Trump bought it with lies, fear and intimidation. No man or woman should have that much power.

Donald Trump’s attempted coup failed, just like most of what he tried to do as president. Hundreds of thousands of people died from COVID because of his lack of comprehension, terrible messaging and misguided policies. And five people died because of the insurrection. He should be tried in criminal court, with testimonies of those who were in the room with him as he watched the riot on TV. How did he act then? What did he say? Donald John Trump intended to upturn the results of a valid election, and we must do everything we can to make sure such a thing never happens again. Ten years in jail for the perpetrator just might be a good deterrent for future presidents.

DIVORCING THE DEMON DON

Escaping Abuse Should Be Easy

I am so sick of Donald John Trump I could vomit. While thousands of people are dying from COVID each day, his number one priority is convincing the world that he didn’t lose the election. Most of the TV talking heads are hung up on those Senators and Representatives who are not admitting Joe Biden will be the next President of the United States. Those dipshits in Congress never have the American public in their hearts and minds; they care only about their own perks, power and prestige. Those bottom-feeding lowlifes need to be voted out of office.

We’ve all heard about Stockholm syndrome. It occurs when a hostage starts to defend, admire and sometimes even fall in love with their captor or abuser. I’ve known perfectly intelligent women who stay in an abusive marriage with a justification like, “Oh, I have to stay for the kids,” or “Well, the abuse isn’t as bad as it was earlier.” REALLY?

Lyin’ Ted Cruz

We’ve heard what some soulless humans said about Donald Trump when he threw his hat into the presidential ring. Let’s take the case of Ted Cruz. Trump often called him “Lyin’ Ted,” mocked his wife’s appearance, and went so far as to falsely suggest his father was involved in President John F. Kennedy’s assassination. In return, Ted called Trump a “sniveling coward,” a “pathological liar” and “utterly amoral.” Despite that, Cruz was the first one to defend Trump during his impeachment trial by voting against removing him from office. I guess we are left to believe that, just like Trump said, Ted is a liar.

Let’s recall what Lindsey Graham said, “I’ve got a ticket on the Titanic. So, I am like on the team that bought a ticket on the Titanic after we saw the movie. This is what happens if you nominate Trump.” Once Trump became the candidate, however, Graham jumped onboard, stroking and backing him. In August 2015, the Senator from South Carolina said, “Well, Donald Trump’s plan on immigration is stupid. I find him offensive. His solution is just constitutionally flawed. It’s not practical. I don’t think there’s ten votes in the United States Senate for this plan. I promise you no Democrat’s going to vote for this, I certainly wouldn’t vote for it. You’re not going to get eleven million people out of this country. That’s just not practical, that’s going to kill the Republican Party. It’s self-deportation on steroids.”  Now, Mr. Graham defends the Donald at every political turn and golfs with him regularly. Wow, do the words of people like this in Washington actually mean anything?

Lindsey comes off as an abused wife who cannot see her husband doesn’t care a wit about her. Nonetheless, she keeps cleaning the house, making the beds and laying with the man without regard to her self-respect. As the makeup covers the bruises on her face, she’s hypnotized and mesmerized by a lying son-of-a-bitch. She keeps saying to herself, “He’s been so good to us.” REALLY?

Alabama’s Mo Brooks

We now learn that several highly partisan conservatives are trying to convince Congress to overturn the election results and hand Trump the presidency. This amazing plot to overthrow the election, and in effect the Constitution of the United States, started with Alabama Republican Representative Mo Brooks, who is planning to challenge the Electoral College and present a vote in the House to re-elect Donald Trump. Soon after, Jim Jordan of Ohio had jumped on the sedition bandwagon to endorse the plan. He’s a man who allegedly covered up sexual abuse at Ohio State University when he was a coach there. Can we trust him? I believe he is a mindless traitor.

Miscreants like Cruz, Graham, Brooks and Jordan are attempting to deny the will of the voters. I wish they had fought as hard against the virus and food insecurities in their states when they had the chance.

You can sit back and say that this won’t happen, but why do you believe the other members of Congress will push back and stop this insanity? They can’t even admit that Trump lost the election. Who the fuck gave these assholes the power to plot the undoing of the peoples’ will?

This just in, the Supreme Court announced late Tuesday that they will not take up the case trying to nullify the Pennsylvania certification of the 2020 Presidential Election. The court’s brief order provided no reasoning, nor did it note any dissenting votes. It was the first request to delay or overturn the results of the presidential election to reach the court.

Escaping the abuse of Donald Trump will be a sublime relief. We all know someone who has been deeply affected by the coronavirus, yet the President has decided that COVID doesn’t matter. As he told Bob Woodward, “Really nothing I can do.” Demon Don doesn’t care about you or those you love. He cares only about staying in power. It’s a scheme he will not win, and it will be interesting to see what he does next.

Trump is trying to look like he’s still president when he’s the lamest duck in the history of the White House. According to stories in the press, Trump passed on a large order of vaccine from Pfizer last June. At that time, he was in full denial of the virus and he took yet another turn to hurt American citizens. Pow! There’s another black eye on the obese, orange blob. Being the paranoid whiner that he is, Donald Trump is now trying to cover his tracks with an executive order, one that even the leader of Warp Speed knows nothing about. Flying high from the seat of his large pants, Donald Trump is adlibbing his way through yet another crisis.

This in from the Guardian, “Donald Trump aims to take credit on Tuesday for the rapid development of coronavirus vaccines, even as concerns grow about supply and timelines for inoculating Americans and the government comes under scrutiny for failing to lock in a chance to buy millions of additional doses of one of the leading contenders.”

Today’s executive order will apparently give US citizens priority to a coronavirus vaccine before the government begins aiding other nations. Okay, but wouldn’t that be standard procedure? We may learn more at the upcoming White House vaccine summit, but wait, two companies won’t be there. Pfizer and Moderna, who have created the leading COVID-19 vaccine candidates, will not be attending. Why? Because their CEOs said they don’t want to politicize their efforts. Smart guys.

The mere thought of being sucked into “Operation Warp Speed” makes these companies nervous. They don’t trust Donald Trump or Mike Pence or what might happen if they push back on whatever stupid edict comes forth. I find it outrageous that the pre-released meeting text contains a claim that US Secretary of Health and Human Services Alex Azar will prioritize distribution of the COVID-19 vaccines to other countries in the Americas and create a framework for international access. WTF? Who does Trump think he is, the King of Inoculation? He has no authority, and certainly no credibility, on coronavirus anything. Hell, he can’t even speak intelligently about Corona Beer. Let’s not forget that the US has the most cases and the most death from COVID, and that is largely due to the ineptness of President Big Pants.

The abuse of power is overflowing into all of our lives and the peaceful transition of power can’t come soon enough. Trump needs to pack his bags and leave the People’s House. Then, our divorce lawyers from the Southern District of New York will be getting in touch with him.

BLACK FLIES MATTER

Trump Puppet Pence Attacks and Attracts

Vice Presidential debates are fun events that usually have no bearing on the outcome of a presidential election. People are far more interested in the candidates for president, although this year the VP debates gave us a chance to see the “next in line” of two presidential candidates who are over 74 years of age.

There are many great quotes about the position of Vice President, like this one from our 32nd Vice President John Nance Garner, the position is “not worth a bucket of warm piss” and “the worst damn fool mistake I ever made.” If you’ve never heard his name, I guess he was right. And who can forget this Johnny Carson line, “Democracy means that anyone can grow up to be president, and anyone who doesn’t grow up can be vice president.” That’s funny, unless you happen to be the Vice President.

The vice presidency became more than an interim position on the way to the Oval Office when aggressive people like Dick Cheney and, I will add, Joe Biden used the unwritten power to get their way. Biden handled the recovery for his boss Barack Obama after the 2008 financial crisis, while Dick Cheney managed to trick George W. Bush into a war. The VP is also the president of the Senate, which gives them little work but much importance when a vote is tied. They get to break the tie.

Fly on the Veep

In last night’s debate, Mike Pence donned the same bully cloak Donald Trump wore in his debate with Biden. Pence seemed more polite but, as we say in radio, he is a real MIC HOG. There was only one debate participant that understood the two-minute limit, and that was THE FLY on Mike Pence’s head. Surely you heard about, or saw, a rather large, black fly land on Pence’s bright, white head. It stayed on camera for a full two-minutes.

When I was a kid, I spent some time on a farm and one of the gross realities is that where there is cow crap, there are flies. I’m sure all the bull crap that flew out of the Vice President’s mouth last night attracted that insect to him. Let’s face it, the nation saw a black-on-white crime, but I was disappointed that Senator Kamala Harris didn’t point it out on live TV. Maybe those plexiglass shields kept her from seeing the fly on the wall, I mean head.

The Pence attack on Biden related to the mysterious swine flu breakout was patently lame and predictable. In case you forgot, the US faced a swine flu global pandemic in 2009-2010; they always last at least two years. The World Health Organization and our CDC estimated the US toll at 60.8 million illnesses, 273,304 hospitalizations and 12,469 deaths. The indecipherable, illogical claim of Donald Trump is that if Obama were president during the COVID pandemic, there would have been millions killed. Of course, our Idiot in Chief and his Vice Puppet Pence provide no evidence or reasoning for this inane claim.

The President’s bleat of “Don’t fear the virus,” coupled with his claim that 12,469 American swine flu deaths was a total failure, makes the 211,000 COVID deaths a catastrophe of epic proportions. Trump’s claim that the seasonal flu kills just as many people as the coronavirus is false information which also undermines his misrepresentation that the Obama / Biden team did a bad job.

I hate to be dogmatic, but if we had only12,000 or even 30,000 coronavirus deaths, I would say that Trump did a good job, but we are currently above 211,000. Trump and Pence have been blind, deaf and dumb on the global pandemic. The term “unhinged” doesn’t even begin to describe the stupidity and ignorance our “leaders” dish out.

So, do we want more derangement, unbalance, witlessness and idiocy for another four years, or have we had enough? The morning after the Pence / Harris debate, the big, orange pumpkin went on Fox News and called Kamala Harris a “monster” and a “communist.” Really? Trump’s narcissistic personality disorder and his mind addled with the effects of dexamethasone, a steroid we took to cram for finals in college, is pushing the Trump train off the rails.

Harris must have gotten under the Donald’s skin last night because he’s spending lots of time, energy and political capital attacking her. Trump is now threatening that he’s going back on the campaign trail! Really? Until the President’s doctor releases all the results of his COVID tests, no one should go near the man. And until Trump releases his tax returns, no one should vote for him.

This just in, according to NBC News, “President Donald Trump required personnel at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center to sign nondisclosure agreements last year before they could be involved with treating him.” Really, don’t they work for the taxpayers?

We know that Pence is a religious zealot saddled with the usual trappings of signs from a higher power. So, consider this. The best-known mythological spirit associated with the negative symbolism of flies, is Beelzebub. A popular nickname for this devil is “lord of flies,” and he can be depicted both in human form as a fallen angel or as a demonic-appearing fly. My best suggestion to Mike Pence is head to church now, and Karen Pence, get thee to a nunnery!

Former Trump Fan

Mike Pence wants to tell you, especially you women, that he knows what’s best for you. He wants to control your mind and your body. He wants to dictate to America his draconian values and his perversions of freedom. He’s the same person who didn’t let women vote for 144 years, who kept Africans as slaves for centuries and who now is actively endorsing voter suppression to demolish our democracy.

The destruction has begun, but we have time for us to fix this. The fly can lay its eggs in the field of white privilege, but we can clean them up and move on. It’s time to throw these bums out of office along with the incompetent grifters they have put in place. This is my delete list for Biden. William Barr, fire and investigate. Mike Pompeo, replace and investigate. Stephen Miller, dismiss with a swift kick in the pants. Dr. Scott Atlas, cast out with a request that his medical license be revoked. Louis DeJoy, fire, investigate, arrest and charge. Betsy De Vos, fire and ban from all public schools for life. Finally, we come to Donald Trump and Mike Pence. Time will confirm, but Pence has so much Trump stink on him that he’s forever ruined in politics. As for Trump, let the Southern District of New York determine his crimes. The good news is that Biden will NEVER pardon him.

USPS & ZIP CODE CALAMITY

Trump’s War Against the Post Office

I am about to go postal over Donald John Trump’s fatuous maligning of another American institution. You may be wondering why our President doesn’t like the US Postal Service (USPS). He’s probably unaware about how this government facility works, but nonetheless he’s been slapping them around for years. Here’s the truth about why that is.

Donald Trump has said, “The Postal Service is a joke!” Even though his administration could be described the same way, Trump has a bee in his bonnet and is obsessed with one of the oldest services in America. The United States Postal Service, simply called “the Post Office” by many, is an independent agency of the Executive Branch of the US federal government. It is one of the few government agencies explicitly authorized by the United States Constitution. So, unless Donald J. Trump thinks he’s going to change the Constitution, the US Mail will survive, but he’s changing things and trying to hurt it.

Trump suffers from what I call “destructive capitalism.” This should not be confused with “destructive creation,” which refers to circumstances in which innovation results in more damage than benefits. For example, if you were once a bowling pin setter, when automation came along you were no longer needed. Trump honestly believes that every part of the government, from domestic services to foreign relations to trade, should make a profit. He would rather hurt another country with a “win-lose” deal than figure out a mutually beneficial plan.

Money is Trump’s father, son and holy ghost. He goes crazy when he sees someone like Jeff Bezos making more money than he and family nets. People claim Donald Trump is worth $2.1 billion, while many experts believe Jeff Bezos’ worth is over $178.2 billion. When Bezos bought the Washington Post newspaper, Trump decided that Amazon and Bezos were out to get him. There is some reason to believe that when Jeff Bezos phone was hacked and the story of his affair and subsequent divorce was leaked to the press, Trump’s friends were behind the breach and blackmailing.

Trump has a thing about the Postal Service because Amazon had been using it for years to deliver tons of Amazon packages. Postal workers were making oodles of overtime pay to deliver them on Saturdays and Sundays. Trump probably doesn’t see the strange arrangement the USPS has with Congress. Unlike other services and departments, they are set up as a “self-sufficient” entity with no tax dollars used to cover their overruns and blistering budgets.

The USPS has 31,000 post offices and another 4,000 contractor-run mail shops, each with their own overhead costs. I thought that the post offices, each having their own zip code, would have been great COVID-19 testing stations, but then, I am a creative capitalist. Now, let’s get back to the economics of the Post Office.

The Postal Service has 300,000 fewer employees than it did twenty years ago, but it still retains 500,000 people and has 600,000 retirees who receive health and pension benefits. They also are unionized. Trump doesn’t want to push the union out; he simply wants to make them another whipping boy.

The US Postal Service lost $8.8 billion in fiscal 2019, which is more than double its losses of the previous year. It makes some sense that a service which charges money should be able to figure out a way to compete. This is especially true since there is only one postal service. But wait, that isn’t quite true. The mega corporations UPS and FedEx deliver packages and, indeed, letters and documents. Let’s also not forget that Amazon has its own delivery force out there every day.

Every country I have ever visited has a postal service. It’s the way letters and notices of official purpose get delivered. A postal service legally documents that something was sent and received. In addition to the USPS not making money, Trump sees a buttload of money going to Bezos and he’s miffed about that. He wants the Post Office to raise its rates.

This new tick Trump has about mail-in voting being a corrupt conspiracy against Republicans, especially him, should sound a siren in your brain. The Donald knows that his goose is cooked, and he’s plotting the excuse he will use when he loses the election. He will also declare the election is invalid. The Post Office is just a convenient place for Trump to stop the COVID motivated march to all mail-in ballots, which would actually be more robust in terms of security and reporting results.

We know that a recent Republican attempt to corrupt mail-in voting in Paterson, New Jersey was caught by, wait for it, postal workers. Yes, they found a bundle of ballots, and after an investigation four people were arrested on charges of fraud in casting mail-in votes, unauthorized possession of ballots and falsifying or tampering with public records. Those arrested included the Patterson’s City Council Vice President, a guy named Michael Jackson. No, I am not making this up.

Michael Jackson, Paterson, NJ

In 2018, there was absentee mail in ballot corruption in North Carolina, in which Leslie McCrae Dowless was charged with two counts of felony obstruction of justice, perjury, solicitation to commit perjury, conspiracy to obstruct justice and illegal possession of absentee ballots. The investigation caused the election results to be overturned and a new election took place.

So, there are two cases which Trump often cites that involved Republicans. Both were discovered and both produced prosecutions. The Post Office is not the problem. Trump is.

One of my friends used to be a letter carrier and I asked him what is going on. He was not happy for his comrades. The rank and file are dismayed by Trump’s new pick for Postmaster General, Louis DeJoy. He’s another financial contributor to Trump with no knowledge of how the Postal Service works, but it is surely doing his bidding. In an early move, DeJoy ended the same day guarantee service for all those Amazon packages, and that took a bunch of overtime pay from the guys and ladies of the USPS. Next, with pandemic hitting the postal service harder than most companies, they are forced into limited service. If you haven’t noticed, the money-making junk mail marketing letters and flyers are way down. States used the USPS to deliver their mail-in ballots, but many didn’t arrive on time. This shocking story by NPR details how many ballots were rejected because they were late.

Rather than fix this problem, Congress is sitting on their hands and Trump is going to blow up the USPS. That man knows how to complain but he has absolutely NO ABILITY to fix. He’s a useless human being, and he’s fat. There, I feel much better now. I’m headed to the mailbox to see what was delivered today.

ODE TO THE DUNCE

A Pandemic Poem of Love

Ode To The Dunce

I woke up this morning and looked at the numbers of the dead,

My eyes got weary, my face grew flush, so sad, blood red.

We want to believe in truth and always go with what’s right,

Too bad we find ourselves being led by a chief without sight.

The dunce in the corner wants to do right, but he’s shrunken,

Into himself and his lies and those fans who seem drunken.

Let’s have another rally and bring them all together to cheer,

Spreading the curse, talking stupid and adding lots of fear.

The orange man filled his head with tons of hydroxychloroquine,

The unprepared dolt believes he can just command a vaccine.

We all know that a dunce hat can protect a wretched comb over,

But he keeps preaching, all this COVID stuff will just blow over.

Deep down inside this dullard doesn’t do anything to help the cause,

Can’t wear a mask, or tell us the truth, just leads us into the virus jaws.

The denials of the dunce, pull us deeper, down into the corona curse,

He wants your money for another four, he’s halfway into your purse.

There is nothing more convincing than a cold, dead body of a friend,

Never trust a damning charlatan with what he cannot comprehend.

There once was a little man who deep down just wanted to be king,

Being pushed by the bigots and angry cowards of the right wing.

He misses the point of what we are going through in this great land,

He thinks he can put out the embers, while his words are a big fan.

What must the dunce do when people all around him test positive?

He makes things up and thinks lying is his God-given prerogative.

The virus dominates our lives, it creeps closer to the dunce in the corner,

He’s so fearful of poisonous leaks but shows no empathy for the mourner.

This gutless whore doesn’t deserve to be President of this wonderful place,

He’s a disgrace to our people, and to the whole damn human race.

We all want to get back to something we can call normal right now,

But the dunce at the top, cannot help us, it’s just not his style.

He’s just another politician with his hand out and his small brain closed,

Trump told us we were on our own, with him in power, we’re certainly hosed.

And when the dunce leaves the corner for good, he’ll go back to playing golf,

We will be free to progress, while he can call his buddies, Vladimir and Adolph.

He can tell his heroes about how great he made America and lie another day,

While we’re left to kneel and ask God to save the world and pray.

May we find solace when this man is cast aside for reason and direction,

Not in a man, but in our values and conclusions after our great confession.

TRUMP WAS THE WRONG GUY. Just a dunce with a silver spoon in his mouth,

And no brains in his cranium. May peace be with you, I’m out!

Gold, God, Guns & Goofballs: If you only read one chapter of this book, try “Take a Knee for America” and think about our never-ending conflicts between minorities and the police. I’m not asking you to take a stand but having a deep and honest conversation about why some people think the way they do would be productive. This is a book for the moment which seeks to start a conservation about peace. And if you are worried about social media, you really should check out the chapter called “Social Media Menace.”

POOR LITTLE DONNIE

The Martyr King of Queens

You know, I am getting sick of the routine. The act is sour. It’s the same old song of how America has been taken advantage of and the martyr in the White House will get even with everyone who doesn’t believe in him. Our President is not hitting the notes and more and more hard-working people are starting to question the original premise. There is no harmony in the land of the free.

Donald Trump believes there is some evil force against America and him. But here is where a perversion creeps in. North Korea and Russia are the good guys in his maniac reality, and long-term allies are somehow the enemy. The cooperative efforts to create a global economy has challenged the American worker and that’s what Trump exploited to get elected. In reality, his actions didn’t fix the problems. In fact, most of his moves have made things worse.

If America was in a bad financial place before the Donald became president, then how could he have made so much money? Oh, maybe that million-dollar paycheck he received from his father at age five helped a bit, but who convinced this guy he was somehow disadvantaged by our economic structure? The fact that he blames everyone who has come before is NOT a solution; it’s just a whinny little-boy excuse for being incapable of doing anything great.

Trump’s words reveal his narcissistic personality disorder, which is a mental condition in which a person has an inflated sense of their own importance, a deep need for excessive attention and admiration, pervasive troubled relationships and a lack of empathy for others. Every time I read that definition; Donald Trump’s face floats into my mind.

Another President Trump personality disorder is martyr complex, which is also called “victim complex.” This person enjoys and projects a martyr status for their own sake, seeking out personal persecution or suffering because it feeds either a psychological need or a desire to avoid responsibility. This avoidance of responsibility can be extremely dangerous when it comes to running a country. If our president doesn’t like you, you are ignored. Ask Puerto Rico. Watch him closely; the martyr always blames another.

Trump truly believes that everyone is out to get him, ignoring all logic, facts and science. He refuses to listen to experts and experienced government veterans because he knows better than everyone else. If you disagree with him, you are not just contrary, you are the enemy. He cannot stand anyone who sees things differently. The mistakes of zealots like John Bolton and Peter Navarro, who reverberate what Trump wants to hear, could destroy this country. Bolton is a lousy diplomat and Navarro is a phony economist.

Trump doesn’t realize that Kim-Jung Un has played him. While Kim expands his arsenal and nuclear capabilities, our president keeps talking about their great relationship. He’s blinded by the premise that making nice to bad guys is good and treating good guys like shit will get them to do what he wants. Allies will simply work around him and wait out the time until someone else becomes President. Reasonable people deal best with sensible humans. They cannot depend on anything Donald Trump says because he is a pathological liar.

Russian interference in our election is seen by Trump as a good thing. Shouldn’t that alone disqualify him for the office? He allegedly has told members of his team to build a wall and if that means breaking the law, no problem because he will pardon the lawbreakers. That’s obstruction of justice and grounds for impeachment, but Trump doesn’t care.

James Mattis laid out the truth in his recent op-ed. His experience with Donald Trump forced him to resign even though he believes that without a strong buffer Trump could do something to hurt the world order and weaken the security of America. There are some real problems here and when the good guys jump ship we should all be worried about who is left to navigate.

Can a rich kid from Queens fully comprehend the range of challenges and tasks of being the “leader of the free world?” Does the narcissistic personality disorder so distract this half-baked-dictator-wannabe that important aspects of government are not being accomplished? It’s clear the martyr complex drives Trump’s overly emotional approach to problem solving. While a hurricane was bearing down on Puerto Rico, Donald Trump was more interested in saying terrible things about the government there and berating the outspoken mayor of San Juan. How is that productive?

Trump’s choice to be a martyr rather than president of all citizens means we will never achieve greatness. Problems will go unsolved and life will become even worse for those negatively affected by the global economy. The trade war with China is the clearest example of getting even being more important than finding solutions. The man keeps talking about how much money the treasury is taking in rather than admitting that our farmers are being killed by the tariffs. Prices of many everyday items will soar just to win a perceived war. Trump ignores the facts, blames others for all the problems and leaves the very people who elected him holding the bag. And that bag is full of shit. Thanks, Donnie.

MISINFORMED PEOPLE

The Trumping Down of America

Every year, thousands of buzzards flock to Hinckley, Ohio. They have been doing this since 1957. I have no idea why they go there, but it leads to today’s question. When will the flocks of the country arrive at a logical perspective on Donald J. Trump? When will Republicans become clear thinking and realize that it must be country above party?

Obviously, the country is divided. The percentages are roughly 33% for Trump and 66% against him. Interestingly, we have three viable cable news networks. Two-thirds of them are against Trump and one is directly connected to his brain to make money for an Australian media mogul and his sons. This is more like Game of Thrones than a democratic, functioning government. Winter is here and it came in the form of a constitutional crisis. Trump wants more power, and if the courts and Congress give it to him, we will lose the foundation of our government.

Imagine if a school decided that all its teachers would be replaced by one crazy D-student off his meds. The classes would erupt in chaos, law makers would be summoned to hearings and parents would sue the school system. There is one executive who would be held responsible for the mess. The President. This is a great analogy for what is happening in our country.

Trump has decided that he knows more than anyone else. He believes Putin more than dedicated intelligence officers and law enforcement. His desire to proclaim a boogieman at the border and use of fear to govern the people of the United States is disturbing. He’s never graduated to a real president and he continues to be a tacky politician blaming everything on others. An authentic leader rarely takes credit and assumes blame when justified. Harry Truman’s great slogan was “the buck stops here.” Trump puts the buck in his pocket.

A friend of mine was watching CNN over the weekend instead of her favorite, Fox News. She said, “Gee, all the news they report are bad things about Trump.” I chuckled and replied, “They are super serving their base.” That is the way to get high ratings today. Stephen Colbert was doing okay until he launched his comedic attacks on Trump, then his ratings soared. The lesson is there that more people don’t like Trump than like him. It’s plain math. Are we paying attention?

Donald Trump has single-handedly dumbed down a certain segment of our citizens and they will follow him off the cliff. Many misinformed Americans are walking around believing that it’s okay to “make nice” with Russia and Putin. WTF?

Too many people are getting more aggressive and mean in the way they treat others. This is a side effect of a mean, uncaring President who has little to no empathy for anyone. I, for one, have become more aggressive as well. While I’m not particularly proud of that, it’s my nature to argue with anyone who spreads lies and propaganda. Anyone should do the same when confronted.

One of Trump’s most ardent supporters is Anne Coulter. During the press conference about his phony emergency, Trump said, “I hardly know her, I haven’t spoken to her in way over a year, but the press loves saying ‘Ann Coulter.’ Probably if I did speak to her, she’d be very nice, but she’s off the reservation.” Remember, she wrote the book, In Trump We Trust.

To her credit, Anne shot back with this tweet, “It was one thing, the promise he made every single day at every single speech. Forget the fact that he’s digging his own grave. The only national emergency is that our president is an idiot.”

Anne has a strange world view and isn’t a patriot, but she’s not dumb. She was confronted and properly responded. I may not be a Republican, but if someone like Mitt Romney or John McCain can articulate why their viewpoint makes sense, I listen. However, I no longer listen to Trump. He makes no sense whatsoever and it’s clear that he’s in it solely for himself. Even if Mueller were to “vindicate” him, he will still be a shitty president and a lousy leader.

Will the smart people from both sides come together and make the changes we need in America today? Will honest, hard-working Americans find comfort in knowing the top guy will be replaced by someone who doesn’t lie, or will they revolt and cast aside their values to walk downwind of the demagogue? How can they endure the stench?

And here is a question for the court. When Trump says something stupid, why do you not take him at his word? Why did the courts ignore what he said about the travel ban ruling when he was a candidate? Why did the high court, in a sense, sanction Trump’s lies? This will be the question in the high court soon. Will the justices hear the words of our founding fathers and intrepret their true meaning, or have they also been dumbed down by Trump’s rhetoric?

There is no crisis at the border. It’s the same problem we have had since the beginning of America. When Trump takes credit for making America so great that everyone wants to come here, he disrespects who we are as a people. It’s the freedom they are coming to, asshole. We have always been the place people wanted to call home. That’s how my family got here. Step aside, you big orange blowhard. We have the future to face, and America will be a greater, better place only when you are gone.

THE STATE OF THE UNION

What You See, Is What Trump Is

The hype by the cable news networks about the first State of the Union speech by the 45th President of the United States only proved that even after dressing Wolf Blitzer and Anderson Cooper in formal wear, it was just another night in the swamp. Donald Trump didn’t give the American people some new vision of truth. He simply pushed his artificially tanned face into the cameras and did the same meaningless show he’s been doing for the last two years.

First, he demonized all immigrants… again. His DNA requires him to link immigrants with crime, because he mistakenly believes fear of them magically brings Americans together. The Donald thinks that by reminding us of someone’s pain, he gains power over the base and gets a free pass to waste money on the war against “others.” He is a careless  person, squandering one hour and twenty-minutes of our time with a weak State of the Union address he could have mailed in.

He said the words, “Americans are dreamers, too,” which, on the surface, appeared to equate citizens with DACA kids, but he failed to connect the dots in any meaningful way. If anything, those who hate Trump will say it was a passive-aggressive way to say something like, “All Lives Matter” like a racist’s shield against “Black Lives Matter.” Where does this guy get his words? They seem to be pulled from some dark, tight place that gives them the pungent smell of hypocrisy and a faint odor of bullshit.

The irony of Trump standing before the Congress and the nation at large touting the wonderful gains in the stock market in terms of how much wealth we’ve gained doesn’t mean anything to those having no skin in the game. A game which, ironically, lost 533 points in the two days leading up to the speech. Obviously, Trump has nothing to do with the stock market, or he would have prevented them downward slide from happening the day before he gave his big speech.

I’m not sure if Trump has six more of these speeches in him. Those who dislike him the most are hoping to hear no more than a couple. Most people don’t know that his duty is required by the U.S. Constitution. Article II, Section 3 of the Constitution requires the President to periodically “give to the Congress Information of the State of the Union and recommend to their such measures as he shall judge necessary and expedient.” We aren’t sure why it happens every year, but there is value in knowing what the top guy thinks.

Earlier in the day, the White House taunted that something remarkable would be revealed about North Korea in the SOTU, but that was probably a weak attempt to give the press something to mention other than the diving stock numbers. Of course, the talking heads on cable fell for it and started to talk about it. In the end, there was NO NEW NEWS about North Korea and no mention of the consuming smoke surrounding the Russia investigation which is ready to burst into flames right before our eyes. There was not even a whiff of the sanctions deadline the White House once again allowed to come and go, with Trump giving his buddy Putin another pass. Without pain, how do you keep the bear from smashing your face with cyberwarfare? Sanctions. Let’s all say it again class, Sanctions.

And of course, we must mention the fashion show on parade at the joint session of Congress. The First Lady was wearing a white Christian Dior suit, with the emphasis on the “Christian” part. Some fashionistas connected its whiteness to the woman’s suffragist movement. This appeared to some cynics as a statement of opposition toward the Democrat women, who were acknowledging the #MeToo movement by wearing black. In contrast, the First Daughter wore an Oscar De Le Renta asymmetrical plaid dress, which attempted to depict the many directions and opinions the favorite daughter seems to hold. For someone who has been surgegically altered to elminate any asymetric areas of her body, there was some rich irony in her Scottish peasant girl look.

We didn’t see the First Porn Star at the State of the Union, but then, we aren’t sure if she was the first, or the second or just a member of the Trump gratification team. But we would assume that if she would come to the Capitol she would have worn RED — bright red, scarlet red.

Trump on the other hand, continued leaning BLUE with his tie. Maybe he thinks that makes him appear more presidential or thinner. I cannot believe that this highly critical blogger is writing about what the fuck people wore at the State of the Union address. Have I gone mad? How do I get myself back to my normally stable genius state?

Oh yeah, our great Orange Leader, once again, was nothing but a B actor on the biggest American stage turning in another mediocre performance. I admit that I fell asleep twenty-minutes into the show. He was not at all presidential or even interesting. He’s a fake, through and through, and his stale rhetoric is, at best, redundant. Even his manipulative moves are boring me. I wait for the third act of this fatuous play, where the G-men come on stage and put him in handcuffs and all the CNN guys cover the perp-walk wearing Giorgio Armani tuxedoes. Hey, maybe they’ll bring back Kathy Griffin for comic relief. Yeah, now that’s a ticket I would buy!

Bannon, Books & Belligerence

Trump’s Mistakes Magnified Again

Donald Trump hired Steve Bannon because he is like Trump. They are both political and ideological whores. And if you’re a little left leaning, you could also classify both as capitalistic pigs. Let’s face it, they love money and power.

With the media blitz for the new Michael Wolff book called Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House came real shock and awe from the White House. Clearly some of the quotes, especially from Steve Bannon, Trump’s former adviser and, lest we forget, the Chairman CEO of the Trump Campaign for President, have so angered this President that yesterday, he spent most of his time haranguing on the book rather than doing his job we pay him to do.

Not only does Bannon accuse Donald Trump Jr. of treason, but Bannon was probably the person who brought the wolf into the hen house. Some say that Bannon determined who the author would interview. Bannon spent time in Hollywood and Mr. Wolff once worked for the Hollywood Reporter. We can assume there is a previous relationship.

Once again, we see the naiveite of the Donald in believing that someone like Michael Wolff would do a powderpuff piece to make Trump & Company look glamorous and good. You don’t sell books that way. This book is bound to sell tons because it gives 65% of the people in America what they want, more evidence of what they already believe; that Trump is not qualified to be President and other charges will likely be piled on as the bandwagon marches toward impeachment.

It may be fun for TV pundits to exploit this book for talking points, but there are some truly damaging things in the book. Bannon’s speculation that Mueller’s team is considering money laundering by the Trump boys, including son-in-law Kushner, may be based on some real knowledge of what Trump had done before running for President. Could Bannon and Wolff be forecasting Mueller’s charges against the leader of the free world?

Or, are the comments by Bannon just his way of messing with Kushner and his wife, the president’s daughter, and getting back at them? The pet name, “Jarvanka,” certainly contains a bit of contempt for them and, from my viewpoint, probably deep-seated anti-Semitism. But it’s hard to know what is inside Steve’s two lobes, you know there are good people on either side.

What I take away from the comments released so far is that Bannon is thinking about running for president, Jared and Ivanka are thinking about running for president and that the real Donald Trump didn’t think he would win. As much as people push back on all this from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, the excerpts do seem to be hitting a nerve. Most shrinks will tell you that your reaction to someone else just might show you more about what you think of yourself than what you think of them. Over reaction to the truth is always more than just pointing out a lie.

The Great Orange Leader’s statement attacks Bannon:

“Steve Bannon has nothing to do with me or my Presidency. When he was fired, he not only lost his job, he lost his mind. Steve is learning that winning isn’t as easy as I make it look. Steve had very little to do with our historic victory. Steve pretends to be at war with the media, which he calls the opposition party, yet he spent his time at the White House leaking false information to the media to make himself seem far more important than he was. It is the only thing he does well. Steve was rarely in a one-on-one meeting with me and only pretends to have had influence to fool a few people with no access and no clue, whom he helped write phony books.”

First, Trump’s remarkable and unseemly knee-jerk reaction is to lie to solve any problem, and that always makes things worse. Bannon convinced him to stay in the race after the Access Hollywood tape was released and, for all intents and purposes, Bannon was his wing-man. Why try to make him a “coffee boy?” Everyone in America knows Bannon was the strategist. But Trump won’t stop there, fighting negative press is what he was born to do.

We are already seeing an all-out attack on Bannon, the book and its author, even before this book hits the stores. Trump attorney Charles J. Harder released this statement, “On behalf of our clients, legal notice was issued today to Stephen K. Bannon, that his actions of communicating with author Michael Wolff regarding an upcoming book give rise to numerous legal claims including defamation by libel and slander, and breach of his written confidentiality and non-disparagement agreement with our clients. Legal action is imminent.

As Trump has warned before, if you cross him, you will get attacked. And he uses his legal team to do his dirty work. It must have worked, because Bannon offered this statement this morning on the Breitbart Sirius XM channel (1-4-2018), “The president of the United States is a great man. You know I support him, day in and day out, whether going through the country giving the Trump miracle speech or on the show or on the website.” See, Bannon loves money and he doesn’t want to have to pay lawyers to get him out of this one.

But it doesn’t stop there. This just in, Trump’s personal lawyers sent a cease-and-desist letter to Wolff and his publisher, Henry Holt, demanding that the publisher “cease and desist from any further publication, release or dissemination” of the book “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House.” THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES JUST TOOK A PISS ON THE FIRST ADMENDMENT AND THE CONSTITUTION. All caps demanding your damn attention.

There is no way that the publishing company, Henry Holt, will not proceed with the release of the book. After all, it has already become a best seller. The majority of what has been disclosed in this book must be true because Trump and his murder of lawyers have set up a battle line in the sand. And if they do go to court, get ready. Each of the people quoted in the book will be called to testify, including Bannon and maybe the President himself. Then, we will see them all crack like eggs under cross-examination.

What started out as a mistake election has turned into a circus and now, with a little exposure, it is only getting worse. It’s not Bannon or a book. It’s the belligerence and maladroitness of the moron in the White House that is the real crime. God save the nation.
