DYSFUNCTIONAL DISTRUST

Trump’s Family Flaw

Did it ever dawn on anyone that the reason Donald Trump ran for President was because he doesn’t trust anyone? Because he distrusts government and holds a penchant for conspiracy theories, like the government cooked up the case against the Trump Organization about housing discrimination in 1973, he lives in a world where everyone is out to get him.

His thin skin and quick to the defense behavior is linked to some kind of disorder that he has to be the bully in order to feel good. Without a fight, without controversy, without tons of press, he is a frightened little boy making sure there is nothing under the bed.

Perhaps this was how his father viewed the world but most likely the silver spoon that has been in his mouth since birth has leached just enough metal in his brain to deliver permanent damage.

With the theme of distrust here, I might advance some of my own theories of how things work in our government and Washington. Let’s start with a basic truth: the power structure of our nation is powered by tons of lawyers. Being an attorney is a valid and important profession, but when things get tough they will be quick to tell their clients to shut up and stay away from cavalier statements.

Next, we have the history of Nixon, who kept saying he was not a crook then ended up being the kingpin in a cover-up and conspiracy to obstruct justice. We had Bill Clinton saying on TV, “I did not have sexual relations with that woman,” when indeed he did. So, who can we trust? I’m sure the reason Bill Clinton told Hillary to have a private server is because he knew how much the NSA stores in their servers.

George W. Bush told us Iraq had “weapons of mass destruction,” and then we found out that was a trumped-up charge which ended up costing America thousands of lives, wounding one million soldiers and wasting a trillion dollars; much more damaging than sex with an intern.

When America welcomes back President Donald Trump from his 9-day trip to the Middle East and Europe, he will be greeted with the weight of the Russian controversy and the ego trip of being on the world stage will melt away quickly.

Trump focuses on leaks, while the free American press is focused on Russian intervention in our election. Would it surprise anyone that the source of the leaks might be the White House itself? One conspiracy theory is that Steve Bannon is the leaker, using his back-channel press connections. Leaks keep Trump angry and pliable by a world-class manipulator like Bannon. If his main goal is disruption, he would be able to do more disruption and keep the base angry, as well but making it seem like the world is against Trump.

Clearly Bannon is smarter than Trump and has so many allies in the administration that he has surrounded the President with more enablers than thinkers. The latest leak about son-in-law Jared Kushner makes him radioactive and this is just what Bannon wants. Jared has been forcing Bannon into a lesser level in the Trump circle. This leak might be the payback.

Okay, those are all just theories but do they make sense? That is what you are supposed to say right after you utter such outrageous claims. It starts the elevation of a rumor on the journey to plausibility, and the most gullible don’t have to chew too much before they swallow it.

Maybe the attack on Kushner is coming from the Russians in retaliation for the floated comment that sanctions against Russia might get worse. That is how they have been playing Trump through this whole election cycle. Again, that is just a theory.

You shouldn’t have your family work for you when you are President. You shouldn’t own things that would suggest you are in violation of the Emoluments Clause, which states you may not take money from foreign governments for your personal benefit.

Clearly, when people in power don’t admit that something happened until the press points it out, how are we possibly going to trust these liars and deceivers? They are all part of a debilitating, dysfunctional family we elected. Well, we didn’t elect the rest of the family, we just get them for free. And as they say, there is a good reason something is free. They will take their profit on the back end and you will be no better off. You cannot trust someone who Donald Trump can’t fire. Think about it.

WHY BANNON MUST GO

Chameleon Trump Showing True Colors

We’ve all had bad bosses in our lives. And there were times that our bosses kept bad guys around much too long. Some big guys like to have someone around who can be the bad cop when a dastardly deed has to be done. (Like yelling at the Freedom Caucus, that worked?) Others want to be reminded that people are not that important to the success of the enterprise. (The deconstruction of the administrative state is an anti-people statement)

Some keep negative people around because the person becomes the only buddy a guy has. I have even seen bosses keep someone around because they too, were a smoker. Strange.

When Donald Trump raged at the rallies I kept thinking it was an act. He was pro-choice when he was producing offspring, but magically became anti-abortion when he started having grandkids. He appeared to be a real free market man with his actions of having his clothing line made in China to using Japanese steel in his buildings.

He kept screaming about how bad immigrants are, but used immigrants to build his empire. And his immigration force to separate families, much like what happened during WWII both in Germany and the U.S., seemed heartless. I guess he thinks it’s okay to destroy a family, but not okay to kill babies.  We get it.

And now we see his liberal, Orthodox Jewish daughter, Ivanka, known as Yael in the Temple, has become the inner conscientiousness of the Donald. According to some reports, she presented the pictures of the babies choking for life in Syria that convinced her father to reverse is policies about Syria completely.

Steve Bannon’s ex-wife testified in a legal document in the state of California that Steve didn’t want his kids to attend a private school because of the number of Jewish kids at a specific school. Bannon’s reason?  He didn’t like the way ‘they’ raised their kids to be ‘whiny brats’ and that he didn’t want his girls going to school with Jews.

That remark could be written off if Bannon didn’t end up being the money behind and the editorial force in front of Breitbart News. It’s the same publication that raised this headline: ‘Bill Kristol: Republican spoiler, renegade Jew’ and, ironically, the Website that was started by Andrew Breitbart, a person raised in a Jewish family.

Politics is a sticky force and with video everywhere it’s hard not to have researchers pull up every word you said on any issue. When you claim, your position is one thing, so loudly and so strongly, then within 100 days change central platforms, it’s more than a midcourse correction, it’s a damn flip-flop.

Sooner or later the chameleon finds himself sitting on top of a leaf where he wants to stay for a while; a place he might feel more comfortable and so he changes to that color and hopes no one notices his transformation.

Imagine how Steve Bannon feels coming to work every day knowing that the person he thought he could control is, quite frankly, uncontainable.  And that is also the challenge for son-in-law Jared Kushner and princess daughter Ivanka.

The kids, or as they have been called, the “democrats” have to move slowly before they rid the kingdom of the less than worthy. Jared got Chris Christie out of the way, the man who helped convict his father of illegal campaign contributions, tax evasion, and witness tampering and who pushed Charles Kushner into 14 months of federal prison. The kids also drove the big mouth Giuliani out of the picture so Trump wouldn’t get distorted by his dogma.

The reason Ivanka couldn’t vote for her father in the primaries, was because she was a registered Democrat and didn’t understand that in New York primaries you can vote only for candidates in your party. So the nickname ‘democrats’ actually works in this case.

Bannon will only get in the way and prove to be a distraction that actually hurts the country and will force the President to be someone he is not.

As the “kids” slowly work their familial magic and massage Trump’s positions into the middle, Bannon will be an unnecessary third-wheel. The generals certainly don’t want him around. The lawyers don’t want him around – just look at the messy, poorly written executive orders. And of course, this is a family affair and the ‘renegade Jews’ aren’t outsiders, they are INSIDERS, and the President listens when they whine.

Within days the Donald declares NATO is not obsolete, China appears to now be an ally and not a currency manipulator.  Are we are starting to see a President who seems to be thinking reasonably?

Okay, he blew off 60 Tomahawks but the attack didn’t destroy the runway. The carpet bombs must have been made out of real carpet?

Trump now realizes that Russian President V. Putin is not his friend, but he still won’t dress him down as hard as Nikki Halley and Rex Tillerson. We heard how his buddy denies those chemicals were even used. Putin, using a move out of the Donald’s playbook, has pushed back and even called the allegations, ‘trumped-up charges.”

And the crazy kid in North Korea is ready to test the President. Bannon was against the bombing of the airbase in Syria because his ideology is actually getting in the way of how the world actually works. Bannon is an isolationist, while Trump has become a new born globalist. How did that happen?

Even domestically, Bannon sees the world as US and THEM, but in this country, we are a people united, or as some say, citizens united. Who knew being leader of the free world would be so hard. Sad!

Climate for Constitutional Crisis

Nixonian Activities in Trump White House

The headline on CNN this morning read: FBI refused White House request to knock down recent Trump-Russia stories. What would be your greatest fear for the United States of America? Would it be terrorism; check. Would it be insane leaders of nations with nukes; check. Would it be a president who thought of himself so powerful he could attempt to change the flow of rivers of information away from the people?

In this administration’s attempt to “publicly knock down media reports of conversations between campaign loyalists and Russian operatives” we have now entered a very dangerous era in our country.

According to CNN, White House officials had sought the help of the FBI and other agencies investigating the Russia matter to say that the reports were wrong and that there had been no contacts.

The Trump gang cares not of who controls the press, so long as they control the so-called “facts.” Even if the news is fake, it has to be their version of fake.

The important word here is “control.” When Steve Bannon spoke at CPAC he said that another top Trump priority would be the “deconstruction of the administrative state.” What does that mean? As I have always said, if you listen to the words of a person, you will know what they are really thinking.

Well, a guy named Dwight Waldo, yes real name, wrote a book called The Administrative State in 1948. Ironically, the same year that George Orwell finished his book 1984. I am sure Bannon knows this work and is applying the theories accurately.

In Waldo’s book, he claims that in an “administrative state” there is a tension between democracy and bureaucracy and offers that a political administration dichotomy is false. Public servants must do more than implement policy set by elected officials and ironically the book actually says that government cannot be run like a business.

The funny thing about what Bannon is offering here, is a real glimpse into the workings of a dark and sinister plot to destroy the way Washington works. Deconstruction would assume be followed by some kind of reconstruction, you know, like after the Civil War. A person who says he is against the administrative state is obviously saying the executive branch must be all-powerful.

Attempts to use administrative offices, bureaus of law enforcement or judicial appointees to manipulate the news and rewrite the dialog about this new President is the first step in this deconstruction. Sure, all Republicans think they are right and all Democrats believe their cause is more worthy than what comes out of the other side of the aisle, but someone has to stand up against this ruthless squad of radical Presbyterian terrorists. Joke intended.

If you say you are going to tear down the administrative state, you are really saying that whistleblowers don’t have a legal role in government. You are saying there will be no dissent. And then they will brag about the how all the miners are going back to work and the trains running on time. If that doesn’t ring a bell in your head, go back and study how nationalism in Germany ruined lots of people’s lives. No administrative state there.
