Trump’s White Privilege Revealed

There are times when the great, orange hype-master in the White House makes a gigantic stink about something hardly anyone knows about, and by rebuking it he creates not only a viral event but also makes more people aware of that very thing he wants them to ignore. Such goofy thinking!

We have had starts and stops with racial matters in America. There are times when we make some progress, then other times we fall back and trample our “better angels,” the ones President Lincoln turned to at times. One of the things I have learned is the more I study our presidents the less likely I’m inclined to hoist them onto a huge glory pedestal.

Thomas Jefferson

When we heard the recorded conversations of Kennedy, Johnson and Nixon, their uncensored language about “Jews” and “colored people” was dreadful. I read some of the things Dwight Eisenhower said after he had a few drinks, I was stunned and saddened. It was nothing less than racist language and a continuation of “established” racist views held by many Americans. I’m sorry to burst any bubbles, but racism is the norm in America, not the exception.

When the New York Times launched their 1619 Project in August of 2019, I assumed it was a marketing ploy to increase readership. It commemorated the 400th anniversary of the first arrival of enslaved Africans at the English colonies of mainland North America in August of 1619, thus the name.

If you want to dive more deeply, you can learn more here. Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you have heard that these articles have been met with much controversy. The entire undertaking is not riddled with lies, but it is being challenged and maligned by historians of every ilk and political persuasion.

One of the most challenged premises in the 1619 Project is that American independence from Britain was a way for our new country to maintain slavery. In fact, the slave trade wasn’t outlawed in Great Britain by Royal Assent until March 25, 1807, but a man was freed by British Chief Justice Lord Mansfield. That ruling in 1772 stated that that “no master ever was allowed here (England) to take a slave by force to be sold abroad because he deserted from his service… therefore the man must be discharged.” And so James Somerset, a slave, won his freedom. The founding fathers knew that this only applied to England and not the 13 colonies, but they heard the footsteps of freedom. They worried that they would be next.

Remember we debated and concluded that we needed to break away from King George in 1776 over a long list of grievances clearly stated in the Declaration of Independence. You can read that legal document here.

Some people get hung up by certain aspects of our justice system, like the notion that someone who lied once means everything else they say is tainted. Ask Michael Cohen. If you write something, especially if it has the sheen of a scholarly work, someone will challenge you, if not in a letter to the editor then in a court of law.

Some choose to fight the battle based on an adoring viewpoint that our founding fathers were righteous and driven by the Magna Carta, rather than being money-oriented and goaded by wealth and profiteering. Don’t ignore human nature here, folks. Many historical accounts demonstrate that the white planters hyped a revolution because they wanted to make sure they kept their land. For example, a unique 215-foot-high rock formation in Rockbridge County, Virginia, along with 150 surrounding acres, were purchased from King George III of England by Thomas Jefferson on July 5, 1774. Jefferson knew the monument would have significant value (as a tourist trap) and he named it Natural Bridge.

When America was a colony of Britain, the settlers developed their own governments in each state, loosely based on what they knew from their motherland. Our founding fathers were still British citizens who believed their deeds, documents and demands of common law should not be abridged. King George brazenly decreed that none of those documents would be honored. This pissed off the landowners and founding fathers so, yes, it’s true that economics was very much a driver in the liberation of the 13 states.

One of the ways our rich, land-owning white forefathers kept the laborers and non-Blacks in line was taking away land from freed Black slaves or indentured servants and giving that land to white men. A bond that was massaged with Christianity, white privilege and pro-slavery kept everyone on the same page for a revolution. Could our founders have spread the word that if we didn’t break away from the mother country all our slaves would be released to burn down the suburbs? That is hard to know, even for the New York Times, and I hope I’m correct in thinking that stone has already been unearthed by at least one of our many newspapers and writers.

Did the early power brokers and self-proclaimed intellectuals know that Great Britain was going to outlaw the slave trade in 1807? How can one know the future? Maybe they had advice from people like Ben Franklin, who lived primarily in London until 1775. After Franklin completed his role in the Continental Congress, he moved to Paris. The things a man will do to get out of the house! Ben was supposed to keep France on our side and provide loans to keep this country solvent, and it wouldn’t have been beneath Franklin to spread some useful lies. France didn’t declare slavery illegal until 1848 however, so the idea that Uncle Ben could have told us about the future demise of slavery is not credible.

Most Americans don’t realize that the King, or Queen of the United Kingdom is also the head of the Church of England. Back in the late 1770s, King George had the power to declare the slave trade dead, but he didn’t. Now, let’s return to today’s America.

In July 2020, Republican Senator Tom Cotton of Arkansas proposed the “Saving American History Act of 2020.” It prohibited K-12 schools from using federal funds to teach curriculum related to the 1619 Project. Tom Cotton says, “The 1619 Project is a racially divisive and revisionist account of history that threatens the integrity of the Union by denying the true principles on which it was founded.” While this “cotton-picking” Congressman from Arkansas pisses on the Frist Amendment, I would add that his belief that he, and he alone, can save American history is audacious and laughable.

Mr. Cotton didn’t go it alone. He was able to manipulate one other person to take up the sword against a newspaper. This week, Donald John Trump stated on Twitter that the Department of Education will investigate whether California public schools are using the 1619 Project as part of their school curriculum and, if they are, they will “not be funded!”

It wasn’t just Tom Cotton who pulled the wool over Trump’s eyes, it was also Tucker Carlson, the Joseph Goebbels of American media, who broadcasted a major show on the 1619 Project. Now, the President thinks that words on a paper are more dangerous than Russia, North Korea and the global pandemic all rolled into one. Things Tucker Carlson has said and proposed over the years leave no doubt in my mind that he is a racist. Cotton, on the other hand, should know better.

The real reason Trump is fighting so hard against the 1619 Project is because he sees racism and America’s racist history through the lens that Fred Sr. implanted in his deficient head. Like a bad software update, these prejudices make the Donald unable to understand anything that challenges his white privilege.

According to NPR, “Trump won just 8% of the Black vote in 2016 and current polls show the vast majority of Black voters backing Trump’s Democratic rival, former Vice President Joe Biden.” African American women vote more than Black men, but the key question is will Trump’s efforts against the 1619 Project make him look like a white plantation owner, wanting to keep the facts of slavery from the young Black and white voters out in the street protesting? Or maybe he’s just another racist waving his white sheet… yet again.

The Confidence Man Cometh, Again

You cannot say a challenge is resolved before you fix it. You cannot solve a problem by pronouncing it conquered. And you cannot wash away this pandemic by pouring wet, little lies over it. Donald Trump believes he can lie his way back into office. Is America really that dimwitted and demented? We are only seventy days away from the answer.

During the opening day of the Republican National Convention, the New York Times put matters in perspective by writing that the campaign will “…engage in sweeping revisionism about Mr. Trump’s management of the coronavirus pandemic, his record on race relations and much else.” They also laid out a dystopian picture of what the United States would look like under a Biden administration, warning of a “‘vengeful mob’ that would lay waste to suburban communities and turn quiet neighborhoods into war zones.”

Here we go, people. Donald Trump wants you to believe America is going down the drain. If the intent of the Republican party was painting a more optimistic picture, then what the hell was that? What I find most disturbing is not only blaming others for what has happened in the last four years but also the constant disassociation with reality. I am not a zombie and I am not on SOMA (for all you H. G. Wells & Aldous Huxley fans).

Let’s take some of the con-man’s words and deeds and put them to the test. Are people rioting in certain cities? Yes. Why? Because African Americans are seeing videos of police shooting Black men and women. Why? Could it be that there is systemic racism in our police departments across America? It does seem many people of color are being snuffed out at the hands of white men. According to the National Center for Biotechnology Information, which is part of the National Institutes of Health, “the fatality rate is 2.8 times higher among blacks than whites” during interactions with police officers.

The Republican sales pitch is that COPS are right, and DEMOCRATS are wrong. Really? Why does that surprise anyone? Donald Trump has some deeper motivations that you can either ignore or investigate. If Donald Trump’s party of one sincerely cares about African American rights and societal changes, why are there so few Black voices supporting and echoing him? Oh yeah, there’s Tim Scott of South Carolina, but for the life of me I cannot reconcile his myopic view of the civil rights of Black people. However, we’ve seen this before and my Uncle had a term for it.

The prophecy that electing Joe Biden will destroy western civilization is an extremely strange way to pitch a fraud. Most con artists tell you how great your life will be if you buy what they are selling. The Donald’s positioning at the convention was totally defensive and negative. It was like a bar fight where one of the survivors comes out the carnage to announce, “Well, yes, my mother, father and wife were killed in the fight but I am the winner. I’m still standing.” It’s not the lack of empathy; it’s the unbelievable quote of the bloodied survivor justifying why he couldn’t save more people, “Hey, they were there on their own. If I didn’t get out of there the death count would have been much greater.” Yes, 177,000 people have died from COVID, but let’s remember what Donald Trump said, “It’s going to be just fine. One day, it’s like a miracle, it will disappear.” He bragged that if we had less than 100,000 deaths it would prove HE did a fantastic job. Really? He also said, “This should have been stopped in China.” Okay, but why haven’t WE stopped it in the United States?

Trump never scrutinizes the effects of his actions and policies. He simply moves on. Achieving a goal is part of leadership but I see no accountability. Trump went so far as to say he takes no responsibility. Wow, who is this guy? Even Jerry Falwell, Jr. faces the truth and is honest for a couple of hours before crawling back into his deep, secret place.

Another Republican talking point is voting for Democrats will make America socialist. I find this funny. The guy who is attempting to gut Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid is trying to lump Biden supporters into a “socialist bucket.” There is no altruism in the party of Trump. There is only selfishness and screeds lacking empathy. If socialism is so bad, why did Trump allow the national debt to get so far out of control? If socialism is so evil, why did he sign bailout bills that gave away billions of dollars to companies, organizations and buddies? The money he handed out was a raid on our national bank. Donald somehow believes that donations will keep people from going back to jobs they no longer have. It’s just another ludicrous lie. People want to work safely.

Mrs. George Conway

Now, let’s pull in for a close-up on the ludicrous harangue that Democrats will destroy the suburbs. Trump’s tweet about affordable housing was so racist I cannot understand how Republicans can credibly support the man. The President of the United States tweeted, “I am happy to inform all of the people living their Suburban Lifestyle Dream that you will no longer be bothered or financially hurt by having low income housing built in your neighborhood. Your housing prices will go up based on the market, and crime will go down. I have rescinded the Obama-Biden AFFH Rule [Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing]. Enjoy!”

One of the great TV comedy characters of Key and Peele was Luther, President Obama’s anger translator. His role was helping get Obama’s messages out to African Americans. Please allow me to channel that routine by showing the way Luther would have written that tweet, “Hey WHITE PEOPLE, I know you really don’t want Blacks and trailer trash moving in next door so you should be KISSING MY ASS because I just changed the law that will keep those lowlifes that DEMS call “PEOPLE” out of your clean, white suburbs. YOU OWE ME.”

Donald Trump has spent his life far removed from the suburbs. He is out of touch on the true meaning of that term. When he uses the outdated word “housewives” to attempt resonance with suburbanites, he sounds like a guy from the 1950s.

Check out the stats from Gwinnett County, Georgia A SUBURB OF ATLANTA. The racial makeup of the county’s population is 47.4% White, 28.5% Black, 18.8% Asian and 28.5% Hispanic, meaning 75.8 of the Gwinnett County population is non-white. Are Republicans happy about Trump’s declaration of “purifying” the suburban neighborhoods of America? Putting this in perspective, Donald Trump will need tons of votes from that 75.8% slice of that county to win. What a misguided strategy. Oh well, we need a new president. Donald Trump’s myth that he’s been the greatest President since Abraham Lincoln is the biggest, STRONGEST and most RIDICULOUS LIE that has ever been articulated, and Trump knows articulation. He uses his left hand to do it.

Is Trump More White Than Right?

I don’t know about you, but when I look down at my hands, I don’t see white, I see what can be best described as “skin color.” That statement is a racism misnomer, but do you understand why? When your kids investigate a box of crayons, what color do they pick to depict skin tone? I am not WHITE. I am a fleshy, old-guy Caucasian color. Just as the skin of a black man or woman is not exactly the color of black, we are all shades of different colors ranging between hardly any pigmentation to extremely dense layers. Even Crayola has a difficult time defining skin colors. They say I will find eight different colors that represent skin tones from around the globe, including apricot, black, burnt sienna, mahogany, peach, sepia, tan, and white. Amazing!

During the first five years of my life, I lived in a neighborhood that was rapidly changing from white to African American. In the 1950s, I attended a church daycare center with kids of every race. The facility had a big round communal urinal, similar in style to one of those champagne fountains you see at big parties. In terms of shape and size, my school buddies looked like me and I have carried this with me my whole life. We were alike biologically, but we had different colors of hair and shades of skin.

You experienced the reverse of the lack of skin coloration the first time you saw an albino. It’s a term that refers to oculocutaneous albinism (OCA), a condition under which a human being produces little or none of the melanin pigment.

Melanin is the term for a group of pigments occurring naturally in most organisms. They determine our skin color. According to experts, humans migrated into the arid, open landscapes of Asia, which is now eastern Europe, about 1.2 million years ago. This migration was most likely triggered by a megadrought on the African continent and the excessive ultraviolet-b radiation led to a human skin evolution, under which a darker pigmentation came about to protect against folate depletion due to increased exposure to sunlight. There is another theory claiming that the shape of certain migrants’ eyes changed to protect their sight from blindness due to a harsh sun, thus the faces of Asians are shaped differently than white Europeans and Africans.

The reason I have spent so much time on the color of skin is because it’s at the root of the racism we are seeing. Racism is simply defined as prejudice, discrimination or antagonism against someone of a different race based on your belief that your own race is superior. Most define race by the color of one’s skin.

I know you are probably thinking, “I don’t believe I am superior,” but are you sure about that? When I was five years old, I moved from the city to the suburbs and spent the next 14 years of my life going to school and living in a community that was totally white. The attitudes of the 1950s and 1960s in Pennsylvania were not as confrontational and verbally abusive as those in some southern states, but were there, under the surface. African Americans were called “colored people” where I lived, and we had black and brown crayons to represent those “others.” In the good old days, there was no “skin color” crayon in the box, only white.

Donald Trump, the present President of the United States, has had to defend a “racist” tag for years. From lawsuits claiming discrimination in housing, to his Central Park Five full-page ad calling for the execution of unjustly charged, convicted and confined African Americans, Trump has a target on his back. Most people just assume he’s a bigot and racist because of the things he does and says. His lack of strength or ability to call-out white supremacists like Neo-Nazis, KKK members and far-right anarchists is apparent. In the last four years, he’s been more white than right.

Great Day for George Floyd

You can plainly see his racism every day. Today, Trump Tweeted a letter that said the peaceful protesters the military cleared out of Lafayette Park for his photo-op with a Bible were TERRORISTS. To be fair, it wasn’t his idea. It was his broke-dick lawyer John Dowd’s letter that inflamed the president. John Dowd almost got Trump thrown out of office, why would the Donald listen to anything he has to say? And Mr. President, when you retweet, you are endorsing the thoughts of another.

We all grow up. Some of us change. According to an ABC News/Ipsos poll out today, 74% of Americans view George Floyd’s death in Minneapolis as an underlying racial injustice problem. The rash of African American male deaths by the hands of police officers that happened a hundred years ago never made the white owned and run newspapers. The crack in the ceiling of racism got its first opening because of one brave, African American boy.

After being accused of offending a white woman in his family’s grocery store, 14-year-old African American Emmett Louis Till was lynched in Mississippi in 1955. FREEZE FRAME THIS. He was executed because he “offended” a white person. We later learned that the offense he was accused of never happened.

When Emmett was six years old, he contracted polio which led to a persistent stutter. Some white people characterized this as a lack of intelligence. Southern newspapers printed funeral pictures of Emmett’s beaten, tortured and mutilated corpse in an open casket. His mother, Mamie Till, demanded that people see what the murderers had done to her son. Some newspapers editorialized, “Now is the time for every citizen who loves the state of Mississippi to ‘Stand up and be counted’ before hoodlum white trash brings us to destruction.” So, things haven’t changed that much. We just saw an unarmed black man shot to death in Georgia and another unarmed African American suffocated to death by a cop kneeing on his throat. Lots of TV people are talking about the racial problems in America, but they are saying the same things Americans heard back in the day.

Trump has done nothing to bring us together as a nation. I often repeat this, but HE IS DOING NOTHING TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM of systemic racism. His lies are destroying people’s careers, lives and livelihoods. I am hopeful that something is coming, change is coming, and Donald Trump will be dumped on the heap of those people who were too stupid to even know they are racist.

Hey, America, you could have left those Africans in Africa, but you didn’t. You used guns to force them onto boats to come to this country and do your work. You kept them down for hundreds of years. To this day, we continue to keep them underpaid, under-employed and constantly challenged in their quest for the American dream. To move forward, we must not get caught up in the guilt of the original sin of the United States. First, go to the mirror and confront your inner soul. Do you think you are superior? If so, work on yourself. If not, then ask yourself what you have done to make America great for all. You cannot say go back to where you came from unless you are willing to leave yourself. Native Americans can disregard that last sentence.

There is no superior SKIN COLOR, just as there is no singular IQ value or DNA set that makes one human better than the next. Please, for God’s sake, do not turn to Donald Trump for anything. He’s not going to be around forever and when he’s gone, we can put his statue in the Stupid Museum. Remember, he’s the guy who told us how bad immigrants are, and then proceeded to hire lots of undocumented workers and immigrants in his businesses. I’m sure he likes those people because they work for less money. What a damn hypocrite.

If you read this book, you can see why all this happened to us.

Gold, God, Guns & Goofballs If you only read one chapter of this book, it’s called, Take a Knee for America and thought about this never-ending conflict between minorities and the police. It’s not really taking a stand I’m asking you to do, but having a real frank conversation about why some people think they way they do would be productive right now. Trump’s Lack of Vision Keeps Us All Down

During the calamity of Hurricane Katrina in 2005, we experienced a totally inadequate effort to rescue the people of New Orleans. FEMA was ill-equipped to deal with the massive disaster and displacement of locals. 1,883 people perished during that catastrophe and, while people were dying, President George W. Bush said to FEMA Administrator Michael Brown, “Brownie, you’re doing a heck of a job!”

Some people remember that line, which nullified some of the great things George W. said during the 9-11 attacks, but I remember another line. During the fundraising event, A Concert for Hurricane Relief, a young black man jumped on stage and took the microphone and uttered these words, “George Bush doesn’t care about black people.” Do you remember who said those words? It was Kanye West. I wonder what he would say about the new death figures coming out of America’s COVID-19 crisis.

Lunatic Trump Fanatic

We are seeing disturbing statistics about the latest coronavirus hot spots in the United States. African Americans are suffering death at a much greater rate than white citizens. According to the Washington Post, “In Milwaukee County, home to Wisconsin’s largest city, African Americans account for about 70 percent of the dead but just 26 percent of the population. The disparity is similar in Louisiana, where 70 percent of the people who have died were black, although African Americans make up just 32 percent of the state’s population.” Why is this happening? During his press briefing last night, Donald Trump said that we don’t know why this is happening, right after Dr. Anthony Fauci explained that African American suffer from more incidents of overweight, high blood pressure, asthma and other preexisting conditions that places them at greater risk. So, here’s yet another example of Trump talking and not listening.

Some people become defensive when I am critical of the head of the free world, but this is not a small issue. A black religious leader reminded me that the use of the “war” metaphor in the virus pandemic possibly encourages violence and should not be used in that way. It’s a valid point and there’s another reason it’s a bad euphemism. During war, we look the other way when it comes to civil rights and ongoing programs. That is precisely how we got the Patriot Act which led to torture and war crimes. Trump knows this and is using the term as justification for taking more power.

Obamacare brought healthcare to millions of Americans, and the Trump administration is doing everything possible to nullify or slow its benefits to low-income and minorities in this country. If we had a better healthcare system, we might have been able to keep people healthier and lower the potential for illness and death in this crisis. I am not ready to jump on stage and grab the microphone away from Taylor Swift and yell, “Donald Trump doesn’t care about black people!” but I am ready to say that his racism and xenophobic policies absolutely hurt African Americans. I realize those are shameful words, but if you analyze the actions taken by this administration, they hold water.

NBC is reporting these COVID-19 fatalities by race in New York City: 34% of the deaths were Hispanics (28% of the population), 28% were African American (22%), 27% were White (32%) and 7% were Asian (14%).

What these terrible statistics suggest is that lower income groups gravitate to cheaper foods, more fat, more salt and less doctor visits as compared to suburban soccer moms. You can see these figures and say, “Well, that’s strange,” or you can figure out what’s truly in play.

Some Republicans are much less altruistic than Democrats and Democratic Socialists and most conservative viewpoints contain that old suggestion that poor people should pull themselves up by their bootstraps and go get a good job. This myopic philosophy keeps minorities and poor people down in our society. Rich people in power don’t understand that an unhealthy population will cost more money than a healthy, well-cared for workforce. More than $156 billion is lost productivity from smoking, including $5.6 billion is lost due to secondhand smoke exposure. If we cannot solve this healthcare problem, how can we possibly help poor people now that a coronavirus epidemic is here?

We will not make our country healthier with Trump’s vision for America. Ponder this. Republicans and Trump said it was crazy offering everyone universal healthcare, but we are doing exactly that right now. People made fun of former presidential candidate Andrew Yang when he suggested sending every adult American citizen a monthly check of one thousand dollars. In fact, we are doing that right now, although not each month.

We heard Donald Trump say that he would never make America a socialist country, but he openly endorses giving both large and small companies big bailouts. Donald John must be monitored and moderated because surely, he will attempt to use the stimulus money to pay donors and fans who have said nice things about him. The My Pillow man will probably get a fat check just because Trump likes him. There needs to be oversight! As I write this, a massive Federal effort to redistribute the wealth of this country is underway without the supervision of an Inspector General.

When this crisis is over and objective minds analyze the data and dig into the truth, we will learn that Trump lied and ignored warnings that this plague was coming. He lied to the American people again in yesterday’s press briefing when he said that he never read Peter Navarro’s memo. ABC News is now reporting, “As far back as late November, U.S. intelligence officials were warning that a contagion was sweeping through China’s Wuhan region, changing the patterns of life and business and posing a threat to the population.”  Either Trump is totally ignorant or doesn’t care about AMERICAN PEOPLE of all races. What a total incompetent, lying bitch of a president! WHY ARE WE LETTING HIM CONTINUE? The American people of all races, religions and persuasions deserve better. WE NEED TO HOLD TRUMP ACCOUNTABLE!

If you read this book, you can see why all this happened to us.

The book that tells it like it is…

Gold, God, Guns & Goofballs shows how we’ve wasted our GOLD on bad wars and corruption. While GOD is there for many people as a spiritual enrichment and the provider of glowing feelings, the truth is just praying and believing will not change our major arc. We don’t determine who gets a GUN. We aren’t sure if we have paramilitary groups ready to storm the White House or a White Castle. There is no control of weapons. The GOOFBALLS with the power constantly try to manipulate us into spending more money on bombs and tanks and wars. When all of our institutions are infected with neglect and fall in disrepair, we will only have ourselves to blame. This book is not an antidote for the left or right, it’s an accelerant to move the middle off their collective asses to go do something positive for America.

Labor Day Message for America

Most people don’t work on Labor Day. There is a sense of irony this year in that it comes after a weekend of funerals, tributes and memorials. The holiday celebrates working people in America, and I am sure for many employers it’s the day before they expect the work force to come back and buckle down. This weekend will never be forgotten.

As our nation watched the services and memorials for Aretha Franklin and Senator John McCain, we looked at our past and thought about better times. You could cut the tension at times because it was obvious that these venues were used by some to stand their ground against a president who, like the child he is, was put in “time-out” for the weekend.

There was a sense of calm on the front pages in America. Thankfully, they were mostly Trump-free for a few days. After all, we honor our heroes, because they were captured. We celebrated the life of Aretha Franklin, not because she had the most soulful voice of any living diva, but because of the quality of her character. She was part of the civil rights movement, not with some grand entrance but always there in spirit and song. So, when the knucklehead in the White House said, “Aretha worked for me” the fists of African-American leaders clenched. They could not stand by and hear the tone of ownership coming from our Great Orange Leader’s little, round lips without the rebuke, “She didn’t work for you! She performed for you and she worked for us.”

John McCain’s passing doesn’t change who those people are in Washington, but somewhere in the middle of all the services, speeches and spectacles, we learned a little more about what it takes to be a “real man” in America today. What cut through the tears and sorrow was that it’s okay to apologize when you are wrong.

I also heard that caring for other people was a good thing, and that marginalizing any person or group in America is, quite frankly, un-American. What I also heard through the smiles and memories is that America has always been great.

The reason America has always been great is because of people like the Queen of Soul and The Maverick. They aren’t illusions, they are real. As we turn the page on another summer in America, let’s ask a few questions about who we are as a people.

Are we going to permit half-baked zealots and ideologs to steer our ship toward division and destruction? Isn’t there a way to listen to what the middle of the political spectrum wants and needs? Is there such a thing as a Progressive Republican or a Conservative Democrat? Shouldn’t 60% of America get to decide where we are going as a nation?

While we were burying our heroes, Donald Trump was busy playing golf. While America looked inside our souls to feel and heal, the leader of the free world offers us nothing but negativity, threats and fear. It must stop.

We cannot change Donald Trump, but we can change the person who is the presidency, after all it’s only an office and no man is above the law. Let’s get to work!

On the campaign trail, Donald Trump continually talked about having only the best people around him if he was elected president. Now we see how many people have left for a variety of mostly bad reasons. So, there’s one of the promises he smashed to bits.

The White House has a problem on their hands. After they dismissed Omarosa Manigault from the administration, she spent the next nine months writing a book about Trump. The book is titled Unhinged: An Insider’s Account of the Trump White House. I doubt if I will spend the money or take the time to read this book, but there is a brilliant marketing ploy going on here that will damage the Donald more than the book.

16GB Digital Voice Pen Recorder

Omarosa recorded many conversations during her tenure and she’s dropping these little tidbits directly on the head of the reality star in the White House. The first recording that Ms. Manigault released was her firing by General John Kelly. This took place in the Situation Room and it might as well have been CNN’s Situation Room. In what is supposed to be a totally secure area she recorded her dismissal behind closed and locked doors. Then she released a tape of her call to the President where he wouldn’t take the blame for firing her, claiming that Kelly acted on his own. Isn’t that double lying?

She claims she was threatened and asserts that the reason she recorded conversations at her job is because everybody in the White House lies, including the President. She wanted to have a record of what she said. Like Trump’s personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, everyone wanted to protect themselves from the head liar. None of this is surprising, but it does verify how dysfunctional things are in Trumpworld.

One of the best tweets in this Omarosa-gate conspiracy was from Preet Bharara, the former United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, “It is maybe the accidental self-inoculating genius of Donald Trump that in surrounding himself for decades with hard-core thugs, crooks, charlatans, cheats & liars, if and when they finally turn on Trump their lack of credibility continues to serve Trump.” On the side of clarity, Bharara was told by Trump that he wanted him to stay in his position in the Southern District of New York, but then fired him. That would make Donald Trump a two-faced liar.

Omarosa is playing the race card by calling the President of the United States a racist. Hate to break the news to you, Ms. Manigault, but please tell us something we don’t already know. If we have him on tape saying the N-word I have to ask, is that worse than “grabbing pussy?” We already know that Trump has conned the evangelicals, who would have to take a position if the tape is released, but the far right, especially those who cling to a white Nationalism persuasion, won’t care.

Trump’s disregard for the significance or power of women is notorious. If he thinks he can grab them and they will never grab back, he is mistaken. The network of terror he inflicts on people is usually followed by a cadre of lawyers who go after those people who get in his way. He cannot do that as easily while President. The web of deceit this man and his associates have woven around the truth is an attempt to cut off the air supply to anyone who discredits this fake president.

He doesn’t realize that his deadly game of vengeance could have driven us to war with North Korea, and his misaligned priorities have certainly driven a wedge between the United States and our allies. His angry tantrums and obsessive sickness never to abandon his reckless promises from the campaign have driven us to a real trade war. He could have achieved some of his trade goals without upsetting the apple cart. He will have no answer for the farmers and manufacturers in this country who will be hurt by the tariffs.

Omarosa has certainly gotten Trump’s attention. Look what came out of his silly little hands today (8-13-2018), “Wacky Omarosa, who got fired 3 times on the Apprentice, now got fired for the last time. She never made it, never will. She begged me for a job, tears in her eyes, I said Ok. People in the White House hated her. She was vicious, but not smart. I would rarely see her but heard really bad things. Nasty to people & would constantly miss meetings & work. When Gen. Kelly came on board he told me she was a loser & nothing but problems. I told him to try working it out, if possible, because she only said GREAT things about me – until she got fired! While I know it’s “not presidential” to take on a lowlife like Omarosa, and while I would rather not be doing so, this is a modern day form of communication and I know the Fake News Media will be working overtime to make even Wacky Omarosa look legitimate as possible. Sorry!”

Now I don’t want to give this dingbat that Kelly fired any credibility, but the stupid motherfucker in the Oval office is the reason she was there. He admits that in his tweet. He says she begged for a job and he said, almost referencing that it was against his best judgement (whatever the hell that is), that he hired her anyway. He shows the world that he is a bad judge of character, and that alone should disqualify him from being president.

Omarosa was on the job for a year, well long enough for Trump to know that he had made a mistake. Why did he wait so long? Was it because she is African-American? I don’t know about you, but anyone making $179,000 a year out of taxpayer bucks ought to have a good reason to be there.

Once again, Trump has exposed his incompetence. One might ask what the hell Omarosa did at the White House. Well, she was Director of Communications for the Office of Public Liaison. Now, with each tape she releases she sure is doing her job of liaising with the public. Some say the lady has dozens of tapes in her purse. Keep them coming Omarosa, for this rich tabloid material further proves what a low-life lying son-of-a-bitch Donald Trump really is.
