BIDEN AND BLACK PEOPLE

Desperate & Despicable Racist Tongue Lashings

There is something vile about Trump’s inability to see his words as hurtful and racist. He simply doesn’t know or care. There is no difference between the words and actions of our President and the attitudes of southern dixie-crats, bigoted segregationists, sugar daddy John Birchers and the disgruntled workers wanting to take back their country at the expense of people of color. Donald Trump’s need for power drives his lying and thirst for obedience. He’s a fat, white criminal who must be cast out of the People’s House.

I happen to know a lot about white people. My mother and father were white. I was raised to respect the church, God and Jesus, and I understand the nature of faith. It’s a personal commitment, not necessarily a mass following by many. Donald John Trump’s statement that Joe Biden is “against God” is the most ridiculous lie that could possibly be said.

Joe Biden’s statement about the difference between African Americans and Latino Americans was less of a mistake and more truth that all Trump has said in the last 75 years. First, there is a bond with Black people that the Donald will never be able to comprehend. Hispanics have a loyalty toward their individual cultures and homelands and Biden is right, it’s a rainbow of possible actions and reactions. I was amazed when at a baseball game in Puerto Rico and seeing Puerto Ricans making fun of a Mexican pitcher. I asked, “Hey, he’s Mexican, why are you making fun?” They just looked at me, smiled and explained, “Well, he’s Mexican.” The “making fun” was a kind of diversity of opinion, not healthy, but darkly competitive.

Trump and his flock of sycophants are 99.99% white, and that is why they made the mistake of choosing Juneteenth for their rally in Tulsa. The new HBO series WATCHMAN painfully details the riots that took place in Tulsa in 1921. If you don’t know about them you should READ. The racial insensitively of the Trump minions was eclipsed by the foolishness of having a rally during a pandemic. Herman Cain, a powerful conservative voice, was there and now he’s dead. No one knows if he contracted the disease at the rally, but a good detective would suspect the Trump gathering played a role.

Trump said the “Black Lives Matter” movement is made up of terrorists, meaning that African Americans are anti-American in some way. Really? How long can he get away with pushing Kanye West, a troubled, bi-polar star, to run for President in an attempt to pull Black votes from Joe Biden? Oh, you say, he has nothing to do with it. Then why did a Trump campaign lawyer deliver the signed petitions to get West on the ballot in Wisconsin? Hey, READ IT. This was probably Roger Stone’s idea. He’s already been paid with a pardon. Trump is a criminal.

President Franklin Delano Roosevelt said that he felt World War II had taught Americans that, “our well-being is dependent on the well-being of other nations far away.” They must live, “not as ostriches, nor as dogs in the manger,” but as, “citizens of the world, members of the human community.” Because he’s facing the possibility of being voted out of office, Trump cares not whom he offends or derides. He thinks only about his hold on power.

The “human community” is critically important right now. Despite his “America First” ballyhoo, Trump’s premise that America can exist alone and overpower everyone else is simply wrong. The COVID-19 crisis was created by a global confluence of trade, travel and tribal abuse. Yes, the American tribe is being led by a chief who believes in magic spirits and concoctions, not science. He worships the dollar and sees every citizen as both the benefactor of his deeds, (“I’m doing America a favor.”) and collateral damage (“It is what it is.”) Yes, to stay in office he will kill you if he must.

A great quote from President Harry Truman recently caught my eye, “Ignorance causes most mistakes.” He said, “Not all readers become leaders, but all leaders must be readers and the only thing new in the world is the history you don’t know.”

The ignorance of our President is overwhelming, and I conclude that he’s most “Godless” president we’ve had since Thomas Jefferson. There is no moral basis for his theory of the human condition. It’s appalling that religious leaders and evangelicals look the other way and continue to support him. COVID-19 is the plague, but Trump is a massive wave of frogs, lice, flies, boils, hail, and locusts. Out of fairness to the office, I have left the words “darkness and the killing of firstborn children” out of my narrative, but I could say that older Americans with preexisting conditions are being killed by this administration’s inaction and ignorance.

Joe & the Jerk

Trump is more concerned with TikTok and Joe Biden than the pandemic. He views the coronavirus as a minor, personal setback that will soon evaporate. He judges the character of men by whether they attended his inauguration. He doesn’t know Joe Biden; he only knows how to hate. In the end, God will be the final judge on which were his just actions, and which were his lies. When the water turns into blood, we might have cures for all the disorders and diseases in the world, but they will not be the result of any Donald Trump actions. They will flow from the genius of science and scientists.

According to an NPR poll, during the George Floyd protests, Overall, 67% said Trump has mostly increased racial tensions, including 92% of Democrats, 73% of independents, 88% of Africans Americans and 63% of whites. That probably will not change.

Trump’s TV shows tell him the African America vote is important, however there is a strange statistic. Assuming they go to the polls, younger Black voters are a weak spot for Biden. Aha, there’s the idea behind Kanye West. Some polls project Kanye could get 2% of the Black vote. Just like the “Bernie Bros” wasted their votes in 2016, there could be some “I don’t really care for either” voters to lessen a Democratic blowout. But, hey, it’s still early.
