PRESIDENT MONEYBAGS

Buying His Way Out of Obstruction

We are hearing a lot of about the specular stock market and the grand statistics that candidate Trump claimed were rigged. Today, our great Orange Leader decreed that if the Democrats would have been elected the stock market would have gone down 50%. It’s amazing to any informed financial expert that a president would claim that he, and he alone, was the reason the stock market would go up or down.

There are those who may have gotten a thousand-dollar bonus or seen some uptick in their take-home-pay, but there are many questions about the future based on the actions of this administration. The “America First” mantra that Donald Trump brought to the rich people summit in Davos may seem like something that can be exported to other countries, but the wealth of the world doesn’t have a flag or a nation, it lives only where gold becomes more gold.

When Trump was on the trail he spoke often about the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and its lack of growth during the Obama administration. GDP is the total value of goods produced and services provided in a country for one year. When we look at 2017, we see that the first quarter brought a 1.2 GDP, followed by a 3.1 and 3.2 in the middle of the year, but the final quarter of 2017 down to 2.6. That makes the year come in slightly above 2.5 GDP average. To put this in perspective, before the deep dips in 2016, the GDP was at 3.8 in 2015 during the Obama administration. The stock market, as I have said before, was around before Trump and will be around after Trump. He can claim victory now, but how will he explain the next course correction or inflationary sell off? Will he go back to blaming Hillary?

With the news that President Trump attempted to fire Special Counsel Robert Mueller last summer, there seems to be lots of movement in the investigation into Russian interference, collusion, obstruction of justice, and money laundering. And those are just some of the charges that may come out of this so-called “witch hunt.”

The deeper problem is what members of Congress, especially the Republicans, will have to face if Trump is charged with something. Will they look the other way because their rich donors like what Trump has done for the economy, or will they rise to a higher calling? If you buy into the myth that Trump is the catalyst for the over-performing market, then you can easily jump to the conclusion that even if Trump lied, cheated, colluded or obstructed, he’s good for America. Isn’t that how Bill Clinton survived impeachment? We all know that he lied to the special prosecutor, right?

When people say to me, “Trump has made my life better,” I don’t try to argue that economic improvements are evil, I am glad they are doing well. I am sure if someone else was president the economy would be doing just as well. The surge in the money on Wall Street is based on trying to make Trump look good, as well as a swell of capital for investments. But Trump can claim victory only if there is long-term growth. Anyone can make a spreadsheet look good for one year.

Our country was designed from the very beginning to be a trade machine because of our never-ending resources and valuable products. For more than two-hundred years, the United States’ economy was propelled by free labor. And then, after the Civil War, labor unions had to fight for fair wages to create a middle class.

Founded in 1817, the New York Stock Exchange soared with slavery for more than fifty years. While we could say that there were some major moral and democrat principals violated with slavery, white Americans looked the other way. Using the stock market and the economy as a yardstick to judge the fitness of a person to be the leader of the free world is unenlightened.

Trump can claim that all the trade deals that were done before he arrived on the scene were poorly crafted and bad for America, but there is absolutely no truth to the claim that rules, regulations, tariffs and the creation of NAFTA were not good for the United States. The years of growth may have slowed at times, but even Donald Trump has a blank spot in the causes of his bankruptcies and failed enterprises.

Trump never talks about the reason for the last collapse of our financial institutions. He never links the bad governance at U.S. banks to the world economy downturn. The laws that the Donald and his team of wealthy political whores just lifted were put in place to avoid another blowout of the banking system. But that doesn’t matter to Donald J. Trump, the man who seeks immediate gratification. The real experts in the financial world have already warned us that disaster will happen again, only this time the blame will squarely land on Trump.

He can swat away reporters’ questions with the expression, “Fake News,” but he hurts his case by his actions and words. As the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election, and the subsequent dodging and covering for those who had contact with Russians continues, it is totally amazing to me that someone of Trump’s experience in business would react they way he is carrying on. He is acting like he is guilty.

If Trump stays in office, he will have to get rid of his family, his lawyers and his ass-kissing generals so that he can claim he is free of the cancer. He will never come to grips with the fact that he is the cancer and, as his confidence grows, he becomes more of a danger to himself and our Constitution.

The swamp was deeper than he knew and now that he is in the middle of it all, attempting to tread water, the smell is already on him. He’s an evil little ego with not much care for anyone else. Don’t be fooled by the deals and DACA diversion. He’s only in it for himself. He’ll throw his own kids under the bus, assuming there’s any money left for school buses, after he finishes ruining America. He cannot buy his way out this time.

THE MYTH OF THE MAN

“The Spasm of a Lunatic”

There is something happening within our government that should alarm everyone who calls the U.S. of A. their home. Donald Trump may think he had a win yesterday with his Navy doctor declaring him fit, but there are some underlining elements of this man that cannot be ignored. He wants to control the world when he cannot even control his staff and his narrative that he is a “believable” sound leader.

Steve Bannon went before the House of Representatives’ Intelligence Committee, and in a ten-hour, closed-door interview refused to answer any questions about working in the White House, the campaign’s transition, or any conversations he had with the president.

The White House instructed Bannon not to answer any questions about the campaign, the transition or his work in the administration, claiming Trump might want to exert executive privilege in the future. This bizarre bending of the law is tantamount to a black hole, sucking in all that gets near it. Why does this feel like a Mafia godfather threatening a witness?

Bannon, might think of himself as an invincible ideolog, out to change the world, but with the speed of a suburban white-collar criminal, he lawyered up faster than the son of a bitchin’ billionaire. The former head of the Trump strategy team, Bannon no longer works for the government and this White House. So, how was Bannon silenced?  Because the long-arm with little hands of a president bullied him. Trump reached into Bannon’s soul and blocked his testimony. The investigators will have to put him under oath, where he can once again claim a vague “executive privilege” or take the Fifth. On top of losing two jobs in the last year, Steve Bannon has also lost all credibility as a human being.

While the press might want to rethink they way they questioned the President’s doctor yesterday (1-16-2018), they missed the large object falling from space toward the earth. The impending death of a star. In this case, the star is the presidency itself. America doesn’t do well when its institutions are soiled. Russia knows this and that is why they are constantly feeding the paranoia and conspiracy theories that keep us distracted from larger things. Donald J. Trump is obstructing justice right before our eyes, and very few on Capitol Hill are screaming that something smells bad here!

The great Orange Leader had no problem letting his doctor stand and take every possible question about the Commander in Chief’s mental fitness, but Trump is not going to open the curtain to show us what is behind his avoidance of anything about Russia interfering with our election.

Stephen Colbert was right. It did seem like the White House press corps was disappointed that Trump wasn’t suffering from some terminal ailment, but there were some troubling things in the report. The first thing is that Trump lost the obesity crown by only one pound, something most Americans wear with pride. He is clinically fat, and we can say that because it’s a fact.

We also learned that Donald Trump can somehow eat poorly, not exercise, yet remain, for his age, in a relativity healthy place. The reason: genes. Once again, the myth in Trump’s mind about genes and DNA was the right answer by the doctor, but he has done some damage here. Donald will use that pronouncement and continue to perpetrate that finding into a cause and effect confirmation that some people, because of their genes, background, or place of birth, are somehow inferior to the cheeseburger eating bully we elected President. The good news, the president isn’t going to die before he gets impeached.

The four-hour exam revealed some of the medicines Donald Trump is taking. One of them caught my eye: Propecia. The side-effects of this drug, used to grow hair in male-pattern bald guys, are very intriguing. They are impotence, loss of interest in sex, trouble having an orgasm, abnormal ejaculation, swelling in hands or feet, swelling or tenderness in breasts, dizziness, weakness, feeling faint, headache, runny nose, or skin rash. That would explain his constant sniffing and unnatural breathing. If this side effect has reared its ugly head in the presidential bedroom, it could explain some of his outbursts and erratic behaviors. It’s also possible this is why Melania always seems to have discomfort in her facial expression.

Is he really taking a drug to grow his hair that creates skin rosacea , which he then treats with antibiotics? Is that a healthy thing to do? You don’t have to be talented to fool a doctor. And a doctor will not see these great mood swings, because he’s only with the President in a clinical setting.

Lindsey Graham said it best in the Homeland Security hearing yesterday, “Last Tuesday we had a president who I was proud to golf with, call my friend, who understood immigration had to be bipartisan … but he also understood the idea that we had to do it with compassion, I don’t know where that guy went. I want him back.”

And that is what we must deal with, a President who changes his mind, takes back some promises while doubling down on others. He’s obviously easily manipulated by the far right, but has no ability to see the position of the big fat moderate part of the country. One would think with his girth, he would see that going for the larger portion of the electorate could make him more popular. The unfitness rap comes from his erratic behavior.

Slurring his words was attributed to his taking of Pseudoephedrine, known by its brand name, Sudafed. He also admitted to taking Ambien for those long flights. Hopefully, he won’t overdose on that powerful medication. His sleeping habit of only four to five hours per night, would hurt most, but many older people need less sleep. And we must state, he was the oldest person to take the position. Unfortunately, without a full-night’s rest, he has more time to tweet and that recalls the old cliché, idle hands are the devil’s workshop.

Now that we know Trump is not crazy, or suffering from early onset dementia, we can conclude that when he says something stupid, rude or dangerous, this is truly what is in the man’s heart and mind. Don’t sugarcoat this diagnosis. The President is a mean, thoughtless, selfish and narcissistic human being who believes he is better than the rest of us. You know, just as a King thinks. Beware America, this is how it starts.

LEAST RACIST PERSON

Trump’s Personal Feedback Loop

An alcoholic typically underestimates the number of drinks they’ve had. A drug addict lives in denial and focuses on the next fix. Racists avoid that little dark spot in their soul and never admit the defect was placed there by someone else. People are not racists in a vacuum. Humans are not born as racists. And today (1-15-2018), on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, it might be quite appropriate to explore this subject.

Donald Trump gets into trouble with his mouth. He can line up his fine men to lie for him, but that doesn’t change what is inside this man’s heart. Our great Orange Leader looks down his nose at many different minority groups with his words, deeds and actions.

No one person can know if they are the most or least of any description or label they could place on themselves. I might say, I am the cleverest writer in the world. But how can I know that without intimate knowledge of the work of millions of other writers? That’s hardly a possible feat. So, who gave the Donald the power to examine all people on the Earth to determine their personal racism so he can declare his is the least?

What is racism? Well, the dictionary says, Racism is prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one’s own race is superior. And to rub some salt in the wound, racism is the belief that all members of each race possess characteristics or abilities specific to that race, to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races.

It’s quite amazing that with Donald J. Trump’s “fine education” at military school and then at a “very good school” (Wharton Business School), Trump must have missed learning what words really mean. And now, we must deal with this major flaw in our 45th President.

Trump antagonizes as his main tactic. He directs that antagonization toward minorities, women and enemies. Does Donald Trump really believe he is superior to certain groups of people? His obsession with Barack Obama is an attempt to delegitimize him as an American. The leap between not being born on American soil, to labeling him as an “outsider,” to the notion that Obama is inferior because he was part African has been obvious from the beginning.

Trump has described himself as having “superior genes” and pronounced this as the reason he would always do better than others. He attributed his talents to his DNA, his gene pool, which determine race, color of skin, color of hair, and the like, but doesn’t guarantee success or failure. Trump believes his success draws a direct line between his “whiteness” and his power.

We have already heard him say how smart he is, even going so far to announce that he is “a very stable genius.” I.Q. is a sticky wicket. Once you declare your score, you will spend the rest of your days answering the question, “If you’re so damn smart then why (insert embarrassing question here)?”  If you are so smart and superior to us, Mr. Trump, then why the hell do more than 60% of the country think you are full of shit?

Like the drunk who keeps saying he wants one more drink, or the junky heating up one more spoon of love, Donald Trump wanders around the White House with his “executive time” of idle hours believing he is superior to other people.  He can say he’s the least racist person and that he never said “shithole countries” but it’s a little too late. Everyone knows he lies. He constantly denies anything he thinks the public, and especially the press, think was a mistake.

Let’s focus on the impact of what’s happening here. Trump doesn’t care about the so-called “Dreamers.” He would prefer to deport them all and start over with a whiter America. But he fails to understand the tide of demographics and the needs of millions of voting minorities in this country.

Women, of whatever color, deserve respect, thus the #MeToo and #TimesUp movements. African-Americans must be protected from police brutality and malpractice, as all citizens must be, thus #BlackLivesMatter. Hispanic or Latina Americans are on the march and they will not be stopped. Trump can complain about how they all got here, and scream about the need for his ill-advised wall, but immigrants are a major part of the American DNA. All Americans must be served, not antagonized, by this president, the leader of the free world.

That brings us to the question of President Donald Trump’s status as a card-carrying racist. If we are using words and actions to determine the definition of a man or, as Martin Luther King, Jr. would have said, if we judge Donald Trump not by the color of his skin, but by the content of his character, then, yes, Donald Trump is a racist.

He can deny it all he wants, but in the end, Donald Trump has just enough Richard Nixon, a dab of George Wallace and a heap of Fred Trump in his DNA to make him a terrible person; clearly unfit for office. It would be easy to say Trump’s attitudes are due to misaligned gene placement, but maybe the Donald was just raised to be a racist.

In 1927, during a KKK parade that turned into a riot, two Italian-Americans were murdered and many people were arrested. One of those arrested was Fred Trump of 175-24 Devonshire Road in Jamaica, New York, Donald Trump’s father. It’s unclear why he was there, but it does beg this question. Why did Donald Trump deny his father’s presence there for so many years? It’s another part of a sad pattern of lies, denials and deep-seated need for Trump to cleanse his image. Racism is a cancer that, certainly, Dr. Martin Luther, Jr. would say can be cured with love and understanding. Trump needs to fix DACA and show some love.

DONALD TRUMP IS A RACIST

No Shithole, Sherlock!

Stereotypes of people from certain countries are unfair to all Americans. After all, the reasons people leave their countries is to get away from poverty, pain, anarchy, or persecution. To judge a man by the country he fled from is unfair and diabolical. Let’s remember that Trump’s grandfather left Germany to come to America, and we know the trouble that country caused after the Trumps left. Perhaps the Donald should consider his own roots to realize the privileged life he has experienced because of immigration.

Lying is a detrimental habit of this person presently sitting in the Oval Office. I was so moved by Trump’s comments about Africans and Haitians during a meeting on DACA and immigration that I wanted to write something light and airy:

There once was a man from New York,
He traveled with his knife and fork.
His first instinct is to slash,
God Almighty is his cash.
He cuts down the immigrants,
Daily acts of a sycophant.
Gets his intelligence from TV,
Will ruin this place, you’ll see.
Everyone else is wrong,
His slogans are just his songs.
He sings for the far right,
He blamed Obama again tonight.
What are we to do about this maniac,
Not a truthful leader, just another hack.
A politician who lies with a sour pout,
Trump speaks, dissolves all his clout.
This man will leave this earth one day,
For now, nothing left to do but pray.

After calling these countries “Shitholes,” we didn’t have to wait too long before the President of the United States attempted to get out of the shithole in which he landed.

Look at these tweets (1-12-2018): Never said anything derogatory about Haitians other than Haiti is, obviously, a very poor and troubled country. Never said “take them out.” Made up by Dems. I have a wonderful relationship with Haitians. Probably should record future meetings – unfortunately, no trust!

He is right. We don’t trust him. Who could trust a person who says one thing and the very next hour denies or tries to change what he said? He compounds the damage and builds the case for impeachment. The 25th Amendment looks like a quicker-fixer-upper now.

Trump already claimed that all Haitians have AIDS. Now he tries to placate his Mar-a-Lago workers from that country and the critics who are denouncing him. It’s too late Mr. Trump. This just in…

Dick Durbin, Democrat Whip and Senior Senator from Illinois, who was in the meeting, verified those terrible words which have been reported. Checkmate, Cheeto.

After Durbin confirmed Trump’s “shithole” comment, he said that Trump’s comments were “vile and racist” and have no place in the White House. We don’t need a recording, Trump, we have an eye-witness who was in the room. I hope that our Great Orange Leader has a good annual physical exam today, but a complete examination should include an MRI of his brain. For the sake of the nation, check his brain.

The Daily News had the best cover today. It really speaks for itself.

And when we look back on this whole Donald Trump presidency, we will be talking about how a man who thought he was smarter than all the generals, richer than all the billionaires, and better than all the other presidents, imploded and flamed out in front of the whole world. This man is a real DUD and the worst President ever. It’s a dark and desperate time for my favorite country. Impeachment is a remedy for this sickness.

FIRE AND FURY: THE BOOK

Trump’s Unquestioned Certitudes

In the age when books have taken a back seat to the internet and cable TV, it was good seeing a book break through the clutter and create the kind of buzz that Michael Wolff’s Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House did last week. I, for one, having written my book Donald Trump: Repeal, Replace, Impeach, was quite interested in how this tome was constructed. For starters, Wolff’s book is a better read than my offering. As a friend mentioned, “He interviewed 200 people and did all that journalism stuff, while you just ranted.” Point made.

Being a reader and downloading the book a few minutes after it was available, I was able to read it in two days. It’s compelling. We already think that the White House is a chaotic place to work because of the massive leaks that paint a clear picture of our crazy orange king. Wolff’s book, in a sense, confirms that Donald Trump simply transplanted his bizarre need for love and lack of focus to the most important job in America.

The phrase “unquestioned certitudes” in the last chapter jumped out at me as evidence of Trump’s greatest weakness. He simply believes that “father knows best,” and the fact that this government and the people of the United States have allowed him to break a government rule on nepotism is shameful. If you have some time, Google 5 U.S. Code § 3110 – Employment of relatives; restrictions. It’s all there in plain English, Trump and his administration are in violation, and no one has stepped up to say, “NO!”

Wolff’s book is called a lie by the White House. They even released an official statement. Yet the President’s first act was to attack Steve Bannon. Then, proving the allegation about being “unfit for office,” Trump ordered his attorneys to send cease and desist letters to Bannon, the author and the publisher. REALLY? And what effect did that have? The writer laughed and the publisher advanced the release date. Trump’s pattern of self-inflicted fuckery continues. He is the problem, not the people he fires.

When Humpty Trumpty finally falls off the wall, all the king’s horses and all the king’s men will not be able to help him. His harem of female enablers, from Hope Hicks, to Kellyanne Conway, to his daughter, Ivanka, have only made him less objective and dense. For all the talk of female empowerment, Trump has grabbed the wrong women to fortify his ego. According to the book, none of them really care about America and the Constitution, they care only about HIM and their position in his court.

The book doesn’t go easy on the men either. First, I must take issued with Michael Wolff on one of his talking points. He said, “This isn’t a book about Steve Bannon, this is a book about the White House in the first 200 days.” That’s bullshit. This book, and might I suggest Wolff himself, were tools of Bannon to get back at Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump. The conspiracy is clear throughout the book. Bannon was the source of most of what has been written. Some of the sources have denied their quotes in the book, while Steve Bannon has apologized.

When Trump made the call to Bob and Rebekah Mercer, the billionaire Alt-Right backers of Breitbart and Trump, Bannon offered his mea culpa, Latin for “through my fault.” Don’t believe any of this bullshit being shoveled by the White House and Trump about this book being a total fabrication. Bannon has effectively screwed the President once again. Brannon is apologizing for the statements in the book, meaning he made them. And if only some of the descriptions are accurate, we are ALL IN TROUBLE.

In a few days, we will forget the stirring speech that Oprah Winfrey gave at the Golden Globe Awards show, but the Michael Wolff book will leave a nagging sensation in the hearts and minds of the people who have surrounded Donald Trump in a self-validating cocoon. Do they still believe that they must remain in place to save the Republic?

Please let me share fives things I took away from the book. Then I will shut up:

1.The deep-state that Bannon obsesses on is NOT some nefarious cadre of bureaucrats trying to bring down the White House. The deep state is the “Jarvanka” monster Trump created. Trump’s worst mistake was bringing his kids and family closer than experts.

2.Donald John Trump will never change and even his best ideas are nullified by the confusion and paranoia of his own mind. Trump is Richard Nixon on his worst day, every day, sans alcohol. Wolff nailed the evidence to the door that Trump has been manipulated by Bannon, Hicks, Conway, Omarosa, Scaramucci, his daughter and son-in-law from the beginning. Trump is being played like a video game.

3.Trump has no respect for women and their intellects. They are mere pieces of meat or comfort blankets existing solely for his use.

4. The Donald is a media junky and what he says he hates, he cannot live without. He craves attention and his actions and reactions to everything are based not on what is right and good for the American people but what makes him feel warm and fuzzy. Trump declares that he doesn’t drink, but he self-medicates with Diet Coke all day to get the necessary high allowing him to get through the insanity of a job he never wanted. According to Wolff, Donald never thought he would win. Oops!

5.Trump harbors a dark, unproductive need to create drama to amuse himself. He’s bored, having no attention span or need for intellectual engagement. I suspect that this man is dyslectic. Nothing wrong with that, but it would explain his lack of desire to read. It would also point to that fact that he was never corrected or taught how to overcome this flaw.

Wolff took advantage of getting just enough truth from his White House visits to piece together a truly sad story of a man who was made by other people’s money and smarts. We don’t have a focused businessperson as the leader of the free world. We have, according to Wolff’s account, a person truly unfit to be President.

A smart news organization would sue for access to the White House visitor logs. We need to see how many visits Wolff made to the place to judge the veracity of the stories he tells. Once again, what Trump doesn’t show us is what we all want to see.

With all the conflict in the world, why do we need conflict in the White House? The book, Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House, is good book, even though it doesn’t have an ending. Hopefully we might get that soon, right Mr. Mueller?

Bannon, Books & Belligerence

Trump’s Mistakes Magnified Again

Donald Trump hired Steve Bannon because he is like Trump. They are both political and ideological whores. And if you’re a little left leaning, you could also classify both as capitalistic pigs. Let’s face it, they love money and power.

With the media blitz for the new Michael Wolff book called Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House came real shock and awe from the White House. Clearly some of the quotes, especially from Steve Bannon, Trump’s former adviser and, lest we forget, the Chairman CEO of the Trump Campaign for President, have so angered this President that yesterday, he spent most of his time haranguing on the book rather than doing his job we pay him to do.

Not only does Bannon accuse Donald Trump Jr. of treason, but Bannon was probably the person who brought the wolf into the hen house. Some say that Bannon determined who the author would interview. Bannon spent time in Hollywood and Mr. Wolff once worked for the Hollywood Reporter. We can assume there is a previous relationship.

Once again, we see the naiveite of the Donald in believing that someone like Michael Wolff would do a powderpuff piece to make Trump & Company look glamorous and good. You don’t sell books that way. This book is bound to sell tons because it gives 65% of the people in America what they want, more evidence of what they already believe; that Trump is not qualified to be President and other charges will likely be piled on as the bandwagon marches toward impeachment.

It may be fun for TV pundits to exploit this book for talking points, but there are some truly damaging things in the book. Bannon’s speculation that Mueller’s team is considering money laundering by the Trump boys, including son-in-law Kushner, may be based on some real knowledge of what Trump had done before running for President. Could Bannon and Wolff be forecasting Mueller’s charges against the leader of the free world?

Or, are the comments by Bannon just his way of messing with Kushner and his wife, the president’s daughter, and getting back at them? The pet name, “Jarvanka,” certainly contains a bit of contempt for them and, from my viewpoint, probably deep-seated anti-Semitism. But it’s hard to know what is inside Steve’s two lobes, you know there are good people on either side.

What I take away from the comments released so far is that Bannon is thinking about running for president, Jared and Ivanka are thinking about running for president and that the real Donald Trump didn’t think he would win. As much as people push back on all this from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, the excerpts do seem to be hitting a nerve. Most shrinks will tell you that your reaction to someone else just might show you more about what you think of yourself than what you think of them. Over reaction to the truth is always more than just pointing out a lie.

The Great Orange Leader’s statement attacks Bannon:

“Steve Bannon has nothing to do with me or my Presidency. When he was fired, he not only lost his job, he lost his mind. Steve is learning that winning isn’t as easy as I make it look. Steve had very little to do with our historic victory. Steve pretends to be at war with the media, which he calls the opposition party, yet he spent his time at the White House leaking false information to the media to make himself seem far more important than he was. It is the only thing he does well. Steve was rarely in a one-on-one meeting with me and only pretends to have had influence to fool a few people with no access and no clue, whom he helped write phony books.”

First, Trump’s remarkable and unseemly knee-jerk reaction is to lie to solve any problem, and that always makes things worse. Bannon convinced him to stay in the race after the Access Hollywood tape was released and, for all intents and purposes, Bannon was his wing-man. Why try to make him a “coffee boy?” Everyone in America knows Bannon was the strategist. But Trump won’t stop there, fighting negative press is what he was born to do.

We are already seeing an all-out attack on Bannon, the book and its author, even before this book hits the stores. Trump attorney Charles J. Harder released this statement, “On behalf of our clients, legal notice was issued today to Stephen K. Bannon, that his actions of communicating with author Michael Wolff regarding an upcoming book give rise to numerous legal claims including defamation by libel and slander, and breach of his written confidentiality and non-disparagement agreement with our clients. Legal action is imminent.

As Trump has warned before, if you cross him, you will get attacked. And he uses his legal team to do his dirty work. It must have worked, because Bannon offered this statement this morning on the Breitbart Sirius XM channel (1-4-2018), “The president of the United States is a great man. You know I support him, day in and day out, whether going through the country giving the Trump miracle speech or on the show or on the website.” See, Bannon loves money and he doesn’t want to have to pay lawyers to get him out of this one.

But it doesn’t stop there. This just in, Trump’s personal lawyers sent a cease-and-desist letter to Wolff and his publisher, Henry Holt, demanding that the publisher “cease and desist from any further publication, release or dissemination” of the book “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House.” THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES JUST TOOK A PISS ON THE FIRST ADMENDMENT AND THE CONSTITUTION. All caps demanding your damn attention.

There is no way that the publishing company, Henry Holt, will not proceed with the release of the book. After all, it has already become a best seller. The majority of what has been disclosed in this book must be true because Trump and his murder of lawyers have set up a battle line in the sand. And if they do go to court, get ready. Each of the people quoted in the book will be called to testify, including Bannon and maybe the President himself. Then, we will see them all crack like eggs under cross-examination.

What started out as a mistake election has turned into a circus and now, with a little exposure, it is only getting worse. It’s not Bannon or a book. It’s the belligerence and maladroitness of the moron in the White House that is the real crime. God save the nation.

THE HEAD COMPLAINER

Trump’s Mar-A-Largo Boredom

I love when people say, “It’s time to take off the gloves!” as if punching someone with your bare knuckles would do more damage to the person you are fighting. The real result of punching with no gloves is damage to your own hands. But in the spirit of over-using the cliché, maybe this year I will take the gloves off.

First, this low-life con man, who the manipulated masses elected to the most important office in the land, keeps forcing himself into every conversation at the New Year’s Eve party. I didn’t invite this person to attend my party and I wish he would shut up and go home.

I don’t give a rat’s ass how much golf the douche bag plays, but I am increasing irritated by his constant stream of negativity. “No wall, No DACA!” comes right after Trump tweeted about bi-partisanship in the New Year. We get it asshole, you want a freaking wall to compensate for some limp, failing body part.

He keeps pressing himself and longing for attention, like a spoiled-little brat who was deprived of his mother’s breasts and constantly craved his father’s attention. Just as the year was ending, he complained about the Post Office not charging Amazon enough to deliver their packages on the weekend. What a dipshit! He doesn’t realize that thousands of postal workers earn overtime to work those packages. What does he want the Post Office to do, give the business back to FedEx and UPS? CNN, yes, CNN, did a great job analyzing this latest blunder by Trump in this article. Donald J. Trump is one of the most unqualified, ill-equipped and naïve people we have ever elected President.

He tries to pump his low numbers in the polls by quoting a one-off that showed him with a decent score. He continually slams Fake News and seems to lack the ability to relax and enjoy his family during the holidays. And then, while millions of Americans are suffering through some of the coldest temperatures in decades, he tweets that the country could use some global warming. His modicum of knowledge of anything science-oriented embarrasses the citizens of this great nation and makes them feel worse, not better. If confronted, he will say that he was just kidding. The joke is on you, bozo. The sea level in West Palm Beach is expected to rise five to six feet and maybe Trump will live long enough to see Mar-a-Largo under water.

He throws a bone to The New York Times, the newspaper he seems to hate the most, with what the Times termed a rambling monologue. You don’t need to ask him any questions, simply turn on the mic or camera and let this idiot babble.

The Donald is like a circus monkey; throw a peanut and sit back and watch him do tricks. He relentlessly rambles and violently vomits his vile viewpoints and reconstructed truths, commonly known as lies. He made sure he worked in “there was no collusion” more than sixteen times. This baboon is more worried about dissing the dossier than making any sense. He is the walking, talking embodiment of the “implication of the opposite,” not comprehending that the more he denies the more it seems like he is guilty.

He blamed China of violating the sanctions against North Korea and claimed he “caught them RED HANDED” without any awareness of the pun or the accuracy of the accusation. What a dickhead to say on Twitter that China was in violation of an international order, when he is attempting to work with them. Why wouldn’t he simply pick up the phone and call their leader to discuss? Their government sent a message that they are not in violation and take the UN agreement very seriously. Another horrible glitch in the rancid brain of the “leader” of the free world.

There are a lot of people who don’t want to talk about impeachment because they can’t see a high crime or misdemeanor being committed here, but what about a lack of judgement and putting the country into a threatened position? This great Orange Leader isn’t taken seriously by the competent world leaders, and those with direct contact know that he is a liar.

I have said from the beginning that Donald Trump should be impeached for lying. And that I truly believe that the founding fathers assumed that the President of the United States of America would tell the truth to the people of this land. Our current president, with his corpulent orange body, will exploit his position for wealth and power until most of the voters stand up and force this fraud from his position. We need to rid ourselves of this whinny complainer and get on to better things. If he wants to know why he isn’t doing better in the polls, it’s because he always seems to have to put down someone. He’s slowly running out of “someones” to put down.

THE WORST YEAR FOR AMERICA

Trump Never Ceases to Embarrass

As we end this glorious year, a quick look back from the insanity of last year’s presidential campaign, that blossomed into a full-blown theater of the absurd this year, can give us no warm feelings. 32-35% of America think the great Orange Leader is doing a good job, while at least 65% disapprove of his governance. I contend that 20-25% of those who dislike his work also do not like him as a person.

People are full of distrust. According to the most recent figures from Gallup, approval of Congress is at 16 percent. Clearly, the voters have a low respect for the current leader of the free world and less regard for those who we elected to represent us. Why is this?

When President Trump speaks, he doesn’t focus on the positive. He always has to put-down, slam or berate someone or something. This leads to a net result of cynicism and negative reinforcement. It’s almost as if a victory for Trump isn’t significant unless someone else can be bullied and trashed as the loser. Trump has no ability to accept any criticism and can never admit that he may have been wrong. His most repulsive habit is his demand for righteousness.

It’s fitting that we write our last missive of this year on the shortest day of the calendar, for the darkness cannot come quick enough for this writer. We wait for that time when we can stagger back into the cave and attempt to forget about this notorious coward and his ghastly offense to our nation. There was not one day this year when I didn’t feel embarrassed that we have him as our President.

Deep down inside, I don’t want to find out that there was some conspiracy to fix the election with the Russians. That would only make me more nauseous and depressed. That anyone would collaborate, or even collude, with a foreign power against other Americans makes my stomach knot. I hope they find out that the current president was not involved in such an immoral mission. We don’t need a “pussy grabber” in the White House, but worse, we must never have a traitor in our midst.

Yes, colluding or collaborating or even scheming with the enemy should, without a doubt, be grounds for imprisonment and even execution. But we don’t do that in America. We could never admit that Richard Nixon, a felon of demonic stature, should serve one day in jail because we don’t imprison our politicians. We can shame them out of office, with some getting their pensions, but we never haul them off in a paddy wagon to rot in a jail. We save those spaces for drug addicts and those who have committed high crime and misdemeanors of another nature. You know, minorities and ingrates.

But there is a reason we have a two-party system, not birthed by the Declaration of Independence, or the Bill of Rights or the Constitution, but born in the houses of Congress to slow down major decisions. Yes, when we complain about how slow Congress is we are only applying what seems like a proper timeline for today’s frantic lifestyle, not how the system was designed.

It took 11 months for the Donald to get his big tax cut. Had he outlined it in detail and wrote it himself, he could have sped up the process but, rightfully, someone reminded him that it wasn’t his job to write a bill. And there isn’t an expert worth his salt in America who doesn’t see the 2017 tax legislation for what it is, a double down on the old “trickle down” theory. Giving large tax cuts to corporations and rich people is a medium-term myth that won’t solve the middle-class budget problem fast enough and help those most affected.

Trump cannot seem to win the popular vote or approval. The Russian probe eats away at his credibility. He denies so much which leads many people to ask the question, “What is the truth?” His dismissal of so many members of his team this year speaks to his inability to vet and hire the right people, while his obsessive and abusive use of Twitter to, as he says to communicate with his base and go around the mainstream media, is the exact reason many people are uneasy with his leadership. Some just see him as a mean person.

And it’s only fitting that the first year of Trump ends with a decisive rebuke of this administration yesterday (12-21-2017). Most of the world’s nations denounced Trump’s decree to move the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem, Israel’s capital. Trump intimidated he would stop all aid to any nation that voted against his decision. Ambassadors of the 193-member General Assembly voted 128 to 9, with 35 abstentions, approving a nonbinding resolution demanding that the United States rescind the decision on Jerusalem.

Donald Trump keeps saying that he is making America Great Again and that our country is finally more respected around the world. From NATO, to the Paris Accord, to North Korea, to Russia, to the United Nations, we are NOT more respected. Some nations are laughing at us. Some leaders are scratching their heads. Most nations see Trump for what he is, a moron.

The more powerful and self-reliant countries spin it in a positive way saying that he’s only a temporary annoyance, but any reasoned leader sees our President as a threat to world stability and peace. The more dependent states, who in the past have needed the United States as an “involved parent,” will turn further to religious dogma and dark forces in the world for support and aid. Trump, who has no real knowledge of the Marshall Plan, wants to bulldoze our relationships with other nations. He’s a fool and the whole world sees him as an inflexible American asshole.

CHRISTMAS GIFT & LIES

The Catch 22 in Congress

There is a certain Catch 22 that our Congressional “leaders” now must navigate. For those without pop culture knowledge, a Catch 22 is a dilemma or difficult circumstance from which there is no escape, because of mutually conflicting or dependent conditions. If one votes for something unpopular, it will eventually come back to bite them on the butt.

If you see things only through the eyes of an owner, you’ll never comprehend the heart of the American worker. The working calculus of those who run large corporations is a pretty simple equation. You have either profit or loss. When you have profit, life is good. When you have loss, you are dangerously close to being thrown out. Workers depend on the sound judgement of owners and bosses to keep things running profitably.

Owners are like politicians, they promise their workers a better life, but never at the expense of their own better life. These are facts. Owners always believe that workers should care about the success of the company. Sure, there are righteous bosses out there who judge people on performance and bonus them for good work but other masters succumb to the wishes of the stockholders and investors with little regard for the common worker. Raises are often “cost-of-living” concessions rather than genuine rewards.

And now we have this “giant” tax cut that will supposedly create jobs and increase wages for the masses. At least, that is how it’s been sold to the middle class in America. The theory, once again, is that if the rich and the corporate overlords earn money, they will naturally redistribute the wealth to their underlings. That has been given lip service very many times in the history of the world, but the results never match the words. Rich, fat, white people usually keep the money for themselves.

What the tax bill did, more than anything else, was to attempt a bargain with the large multi-national U.S. corporations to bring back jobs and money to our shores. Why would they trust that the government wouldn’t tax those funds later? The most absurd line used in the tax bill is that the corporate tax cuts are permanent. Ha, when is anything in America permanent?

One of the largest multi-national groups that feeds on the middle class is big pharm. With this “glorious” tax cut came the termination of the mandate in Obamacare. This will probably eliminate millions of health insurance accounts, thus creating a decrease in profits for not only the insurance companies but also for prescription vendors such as Walgreens, CVS and RiteAid. These firms will need to find a way to make up the revenue. Solution? Raise the prices. Thanks Congress.

With the Republican bravado and presidential chest pounding today (12-20-2017), we hear that the Donald’s men in suits want to take a next step with China, Canada and Mexico by imposing as much as a 20% tax on all their products coming into the United States. That means lumber for building houses, goods at Walmart and drugs processed overseas will become more expensive. Those increases will be passed along to the American consumer in the form of higher prices. Thanks, great Orange Leader.

The fantasy that corporations will give employees an across the board wage increase stinks like swamp gas emanating from the cesspool of trickle-down economics. It’s not voodoo economics, it’s demonic treachery on the highest order. First the middle class was sucked in voting for Trump. Now they are being fooled again by the Republican Congress dragging them into the swamp with their money flying out of their pockets.

Even the 2% or less that some people will get back in 2019 cannot be scammed as some major Christmas present for the middle class. Why didn’t they give the middle class a 15% decrease in taxes like they did the corporations? They will tell you that would have increased the debt, but they have already walked away from their conservative mantra of not increasing the debt. This time to the tune of $1.46 Trillion. WTF?

We all know that the original sin of politicians is that they lie. Trump lied when he said this tax cut bill would not be good for him. In fact, the wealthy, like the Trumps, will benefit from this greatly. And, just like Putin, Trump will leave office much richer than when he was when elected. The difference is Putin will never leave. Trump might leave early.

This bill was passed by only Republican hands. I am sure they are proud that they finally got something done, even when many experts have said, this will eventually hurt America. Trump only cares about his people, not all the people. He gave all his rich friends, donors and dingbat CEOs a French kiss for Christmas. The American public got the status quo with clouds forming on the horizon. Get ready for paying more America. You just got screwed again.

After all, Republicans usually spend more than Democrats while cutting social programs. Slashing 40% of the railroad funding won’t make train rides safer, Mr. Trump. Sure, give the money to the rich. They deserve it. They worked so hard.

And to the 13 members of Congress who are in the real estate business, congratulations you low-life scumbags. You think you are doing “the peoples’ work,” when in fact you are simply selfish whores.

FLAWED HUMAN BEINGS

Trumpean Excuses & Mediocre Leaders

I sincerely don’t understand what is happening with my country. We all know that politicians will say anything to get elected, but once in office, we expect them to sliver out of their slimy huckster skin and bring us together, or, at least, make the right decisions for all the people, not just a boisterous minority.

When I am approached by someone from the far right, or someone in Trump’s base, I quickly asses the degree to which their ideology will have a bearing on the conversation. What Donald Trump has taken from us all is a natural kindness, openness and a common human bond. And there are those who have translated his hate, closemindedness and radical thoughtlessness into a platform for their party. How did that happen?

We all know that when someone joins a club they follow the plans and policies of the club leaders. When the fraternity speaks, everyone must listen and follow the instructions. Hazing hurts people, but we tacitly give approval by letting a system of exclusion exist. We allow a “Tax Cut” bill to hurt millions of people and drain money from our treasury, but members of that club must blindly follow the orders. Once again, in Trump’s America, the rich guys get the money and the poor people must obey.

If the only thing a middle or lower-class person had to worry about was whether the stock market went up, then I would say Trump has really helped a lot of people. It is said that the richest 1% own about 38% of all privately held wealth in the United States, while the bottom 90% carry 73% of all debt. And even though 52% of all Americans own stock, most of that paper is not available to them until they reach 66 years of age. So, what is this all about?

The soul of America has always been independence, hard work and democracy. Whatever Donald Trump wants you to think, he’s not about the working middle class. Born with a silver spoon in his mouth, he judges people by their status, wealth and standing, rather than the quality of their character, intelligence or desire to contribute to society. He rarely listens to anyone else and has a deep-seated hate for Barack Obama. His actions speak louder than words.

But this isn’t about President or Party, this is about the spurning of 65%, or more, of Americans who disagree with most of what Trump is doing. A leader of the United States of America should be able to open his mind to the fact that when the majority of the people have NO VOICE IN GOVERNMENT, something is wrong.

It’s stunning that in their desire to placate the Donald’s ego, hundreds of legislators are not even taking the time to read a tax bill before they vote on it; negligence of the highest order.

As the Republican money machine, being propelled by Devin Nunes, a Koch brothers’ puppet, the American public cannot get reliable information of what the bill really means to most American taxpayers. They don’t care because their research tells them no one will read it.

As the President’s rich comrades push through tax cuts for the very wealthiest, no one will mention that Koch was the company that helped Adolf Hitler with his oil refineries. You see, capitalism and chemistry make them rich, not feeding the poor. No one will mention their desire to let the ruling class of old money reign over the world and our country. But, perhaps I’m being too dramatic. Perhaps, the sons aren’t like the fathers, you know, like the Trump boys.

Donald Trump Jr. is a mess. He obviously doesn’t have an original thought in his brain. But wait, isn’t that what this is all about? It’s sinister forces controlling the minds of bigots and liars among us. The Koch brothers control Nunes, Trump controls Congress and Fox News controls Donald Trump. Why would rumors being fed to a half-baked TV morning show have more influence over the President than his DOJ, FBI and intelligence community? Rupert Murdoch must be pleased.

It’s not healthy for the President of the United States to sit around and watch four-hours of TV each day while gulping 12 cans of Diet Coke. He’s addicted to the hype, the caffeine and the controversary. He gets up every morning and has to have his fix. He’s a drug addict, like Harvey Weinstein is a sex addict.

Donald John Trump is such a flawed human being he would be a tiresome character in any movie or play. His dialog is much like the Big Brother character on the telescreen in George Orwell’s 1984. Remember these lines: “This is our land. A land of peace and of plenty. A land of harmony and hope. This is our land. Oceania. These are our people. The workers, the strivers, the builders. These are our people. The builders of our world, struggling, fighting, bleeding, dying. On the streets of our cities and on the far-flung battlefields. Fighting against the mutilation of our hopes and dreams. Who are they?”

When Trump says he is the voice of the forgotten people, the voters must believe they have been forgotten. Who told them they were forgotten, Big Brother himself. Our great Orange Leader plants the seeds and nurtures the fear that someone is coming to take away our hopes and dreams. The gut wrenching, wretched truth is that very someone is already here, and he is Donald Trump. Slowly, with each day, he is mutilating our Constitution and attempting to nullify all that stands for a better America. The biggest lie of all is his fantasy that he will, and he alone can, Make America Great Again.
