REPETITION IS NOT INTELLIGENCE

Trump’s fallback: “Through no fault of their own.”

When I had less than a pot to pee in, I still had my words. When I achieved a comfortable bank account, I still counted on my words to get me through each day. I have a firm repulsion when the blame-game gets in the way of finding a solution to a problem. We are all occasionally guilty of wasting time and energy on assigning blame or, said in polite terms, giving priority to “accountability” rather than understanding why something took place.

One of the justifications that Donald John Trump uses for helping people is a thin strip of logic using the words, “Through no fault of their own.” His meaning is the subject deserves something but can’t be personally blamed for what happened. I’m not a psychologist, but I sense the Donald is projecting a lack of blame for virus victims as a way of escaping blame for the situation we are in. He often accuses others of what he just did. He says the Democrats are being political, and in the same paragraph he becomes totally political and disingenuous. Donald, a paragraph is a distinct section of a piece of writing usually dealing with a single theme.

The phrase, “Through no fault of their own,” was also used by President Obama to describe the predicament of young children who were brought to America by their illegal, immigrant parents. It was Obama’s way to promote sympathy for the dreamers. He signed an executive order to create Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), which helped more than 800,000 young people and, through no fault of their own, many conservatives have been trying to end the program for years. Some of the dreamers have had children themselves by now.

We hear another ad hominem from many on capitol hill that if you give people unemployment compensation during the pandemic they will never want to go back to work. That is total BULLSHIT! First, where are the jobs they can go back to? WHY ARE THEY BLAMING THE VICTIMS? If you work at a movie theater, you aren’t staying home because you want to suck money from the government; your place of business is closed. There are also people trying to decide whether going back to work will lead to a COVID-19 infection that will kill them. Through no fault of their own, they care about staying alive.

When the numbers from two different reliable pollsters came in today, the news was not good for Trump. According to Rasmussen, only 26% of Americans say the US heading in right direction, and that was from the week ending on July 30, 2020. Other polls are backing up those numbers. Clearly, more than 70% of America thinks we are going in the wrong direction with our fight against the global pandemic.

Through no fault of their own, the press report facts and present questions that should be answered. Lying to the press, because of the ever-present ability to play back the actual words that were used just days, weeks or months ago, can not only embarrass a person in power but also drain their credibility on an issue. Many of us have now seen the brilliant interview of Donald Trump by Axios’ Jonathan Swan. When Swan confronted our President with the fact we have a large death count from coronavirus in the United States, this is what we got,

SWAN: “Oh, you’re doing death as a proportion of cases. I’m talking about death as a proportion of population. That’s where the US is really bad. Much worse than South Korea, Germany, etc.”

TRUMP: “You can’t do that.”

SWAN: “Why can’t I do that?”

TRUMP: “It is what it is. And we’ll still be lucky if we all live through it.”

This is the fucking President of the United States, throwing up his hands and ignoring reality to the point he cannot be trusted. But then, you already knew that.

There’s a lengthy list of the stupid things Trump has said. After his first hundred days in office, I documented many of them in my Trump impeachment book. If you have the paperback edition, check out the back cover. Added to that list are, “There are fine people on both sides,” and “I fell in love with Kim” (Kim Jong-Un of North Korea) and we should all remember what he said about COVID-19 on February 26, 2020, “This is a flu. This is like a flu. And you treat this like a flu. It’s a little like the regular flu that we have flu shots for.” Thirty-three days later, he took all that back and declared the coronavirus was not at all like the flu but “vicious!”  Wonder what changed his mind? People dying?

Through no fault but his own, Donald Trump fails to comprehend that his words have great power and influence. I think he doesn’t believe that anyone will remember the latest lie. He knows there are more than 156,000 dead Americans due to his administration’s lack of actions, plans and preventive measures, yet he insists that he and his minions have done a great job. The reason he repeatedly says that we are having a tremendous success fighting the virus is because he’s knows it’s not true. This might be a push, but does he become aroused sexually when he lies? Okay, yes, too far.

He says many things over and over and anyone who knows anything about media would tell him to just SHUT UP. The more he talks, the more he embarrasses himself and America. Through no fault but his own, he has given the other candidate lots of quotes to use IN CONTEXT in TV ads to lower his numbers. Buffoon is a word that comes to mind. Why would Donald Trump on national TV say the explosion in Lebanon was a “bomb” before anyone from that country determined that the blast was an accident? A good leader would have asked if anyone in the US is storing chemicals in large warehouses.

Fat Man in pickle

I remember a heated and bombastic interview on CBS’ Face The Nation with Stephen Miller, the head ideolog and xenophobe speech writer for Donald Trump, who used the words, “The powers of the president to protect our country are very substantial and will not be questioned.” That’s much like a reporter asking Trump a reasonable, fact-based question and getting pushback with the reply, You can’t do that!” Where do these people get the idea that they cannot be challenged? If the president’s power to protect our country is so substantial, then why hasn’t he used it to save us from this pandemic? He doesn’t have a clue about what a president is supposed to do. It’s just a game to him. He’s the banker sitting at the monopoly board but not engaged with reality. He’s not responsible for our losses and remains solely focused on how to print more money. FAILED PRESIDENCY!

TIK TOK, TIK TOK, TIK TOK

Don Quixote Takes on Chinese Windmill

Donald Trump thinks he knows technology, but he doesn’t know jack. According to John Bolton’s book, our President talks a good game about stopping China from invading our shores, but he’s a total failure with his actions. Remember when everyone, from 60 Minutes, through Marco Rubio to the heads of our tech companies, was warning the US that we should block the firm Huawei from doing business in the USA? As their website shows you they are here, and their introduction of 5G technology to our nation seems to be a fait accompli.

The first question we all should be asking is why the President of the United States would use access to our communication networks as a bargaining chip in a trade negotiation. If Trump honestly believes that a Chinese technology could hurt our security and privacy in any way, why would he let them in? Trump’s COVID “travel ban” allowed more than 50,000 people from infected countries to enter the USA. He always talks a good game, but he never delivers an effective follow through. Was the security issue with Huawei a hoax? If he takes back all his whiny complaints, I will ask Marco Rubio.

The clock is ticking, and Trump was talking trash Friday night with his tweet claiming that he will ban TikTok in the US with an executive order. Does he know that 100 million of us clicked into TikTok for entertainment during the pandemic? One of my favorites on TikTok is Sarah Cooper, who does a slam-dunk lip-sync parody of Donald Trump. Check out this link to see.

It didn’t take long for an article to be penned in Vogue magazine that claims Ms. Cooper is the real reason Trump wants to ban TikTok. Could that be true? The technical question is how would Trump ban an internet product? Would he demand that “the Internet” take one player down citing some sort of security issue? Who exactly oversees the Internet? Is it Al Gore? Maybe the Donald will call his “great friend” President Xi and find out how that country suspends the feeds of internet sites and services they don’t like. Trump is stupid and doesn’t realize any action to ban a website would be a violation of our First Amendment.

When Turkey banned YouTube and Facebook, savvy tech users signed up for a service to jump around the bans so they could access those services without President Erdoğan playing babysitter. Users can always find a way to get what they want, even when it’s a bit more complicated.

Sweaty President

Trump’s bluff was intended to kibosh the sale of TikTok by its Chinese owner to Microsoft. The last time I checked, Microsoft was an American company. Why does Trump work against our own companies? Oh, I almost forgot; he’ll work against anything if it advances his desires or interests.

Donald John Trump thinks he’s acting, in a “strongly” way, but nobody gives a toot about TikTok. Our country is focused on COVID, a hurricane coming to the east coast and getting their jobs back. Trump is beyond tone deaf; he’s blind and mentally retarded.

I am sure someone showed the Sarah Cooper video to the President and it probably made him go ballistic. Why? Because Sarah is simply lip-synching Trump’s exact words and they seem inane in the context of her “speaking” them. She IS making fun of Trump, but he doesn’t realize that most of what he says is STUPID! When hearing the playback of their recorded voice for the very first time most people say, “I don’t sound at all like that!” Of course, the recording is exactly how they sound. Cooper’s comedy is funny because you know those exact words came directly from Trump’s tiny pie-hole.

I love to see how newspapers and websites from all over the world cover our flailing, failing president. This headline was from the New India Express, “US ‘may be banning’ TikTok: Donald Trump on Chinese video app’s censorship concerns.” So, Donald Trump wants to censor a service because of concerns about its censorship? That’s beyond ironic; it’s moronic.

Here is another analysis that appeared, “TikTok’s fun, goofy videos and ease of use has made it immensely popular, and US tech giants like Facebook and Snapchat see it as a competitive threat.” REALLY? The Indian press thinks that Trump may be wanting a TikTok ban to help his pals at Facebook? Huh? Are you confused, yet? And I almost forgot, the TikTok kids were the ones who signed up for the Tulsa rally tickets and made Trump think millions and millions of people were coming. Grudge, hell yeah!

I’ll bet this whole mess will blow over by Monday with Hurricane Isaias moving up the east coast. By the way, if storms have names do they also have social security numbers and IP addresses? Seriously, millions of Americans are in the path of a hurricane and Trump is talking about TikTok. Well, there goes the teen mail-in vote.

I cannot say it any other way. Trump is lacking a BRAIN. He’s making this country less secure, less healthy and less GREAT. He’s a loser who lives in his own private Idaho, and I’ll now quote some lyrics from that famously wonderful song by the B52’s, “You’re living in your own Private Idaho, Keep off the path, beware of the gate, Watch out for signs that say ‘hidden driveways’ Don’t let the chlorine [hydroxychloroquine] in your eyes, Blind you to the awful surprise, That’s been waitin’ for you at the bottom of the bottomless blue, blue, blue pool.”

Okay, time to drain the pool. Microphone drop.

CHICKEN LITTLE, “THE SKY IS FALLING!”

Trump’s Terribly Fake Economy is Melting Away

Before the 2016 election, when asked why I didn’t support Donald Trump I would simply smile and calmly say that I lived in New York and I knew Trump. That changed when it looked like he had a serious shot at running for President, Then I just blurted out, “I have never liked him.” To me, his P.T. Barnum routine was inauthentic. When loyalists said that he will help the stock market, get rid of regulations and make us all rich, I never believed it. He is a con man to me and a phony, blowhard, maniacal racist with no concrete facts to support his plans and policies. And by the way, he is still playing with other people’s money, our money.

I am not here to convince you that those people who questioned me were wrong. My blog is the way I release all the steam from the pressurized, overheated, three-pound mass of tissue in my skull. That’s where my logic lives. There is no proof that Trump’s get-even politics and retribution economic policies have made America better or the world economy more stable. He doesn’t understand how trade works and the real effects of tariffs and sanctions. Believing people like Peter Navarro has hurt us, badly.

Let me break it down. Trump is not helping the citizens of this country. His dog-and-pony shows are wasting valuable time needed to solve our country’s coronavirus crisis. The Trump administration has totally disconnected from Congress and it’s 100% the Donald’s fault. The displays of adulation by his sycophants during nationally televised hearings show they care only about how they look, as well. They’re baby Trumps.

The reason why Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin goes to Capitol Hill to motivate Congress in moving on relief packages for the American people is because those in power neither LIKE nor TRUST Donald Trump. Think about it. In what previous administration have you seen the leader of the Treasury being involved with foreign relations, domestic policy and moving bills through congress? According to John Bolton’s book In The Room Where It Happened, Steve Mnuchin kept good things from happening and advanced bad ideas. He has too much power in the administration.

The first Treasury Secretary was Alexander Hamilton, but I’ll wager you can’t name the most previous three. Mnuchin’s work comes about because we have a lazy, ineffectual President. HEY TRUMP, Joe Voter doesn’t live or die with the stock market like you do. They just want you to become a leader with a solid plan to end the damn virus so they can get back to work. STOP PLAYING GAMES, Mr. President. Your lies are crashing into one another.

The health of average Americans is in risk solely because of massive amounts of stupidity from Trump. When he told everyone that he would not be wearing a mask, he should have pulled out a white flag, waved it above his fake, comb-over hair and declared the virus the winner. TRUMP LOST. He was more concerned with the way a damn mask made him look than giving us good advice. What’s the net result of his inept leadership? MORE DEATH!

After months of denial, Trump got serious about the virus and masks for one day, then he darted off into conspiracies and bad advice. WHY? Does he really want to kill people? Why doesn’t someone ask him that? He’s a pathological liar, a sociopath and suffering from an industrial-strength version of narcissistic personally disorder. Pathological, as in, caused by a physical or mental disease which shows itself in compulsive and obsessive behavior. He repeatedly lies until he believes his untruths. The term, sociopath denotes a person with a personality disorder manifesting itself in extreme antisocial attitudes and behavior and a lack of conscience. Trump has no empathy or care for us. He wants all the power and all the money. He wants to be king.

And today, we get this tweet from President Donald John Trump, “With Universal Mail-In Voting (not Absentee Voting, which is good), 2020 will be the most INACCURATE & FRAUDULENT Election in history. It will be a great embarrassment to the USA. Delay the Election until people can properly, securely and safely vote???” And you thought I was being crazy with my comments? There is no way the November 3, 2020 election will be postponed. Donald Trump is preemptively setting up his challenge to an election result that says he didn’t win. He’s a corrupt, lying, low-life dullard. The President does not have the power to change the date of an election. Let me add that if the election were postponed, all the Representatives and Senators who are on the ballot for November 3, 2020 would have to leave the building on January 1, 2021. Yes, their terms would have expired. I wonder if they know that.

Trump is quite predictable. We now have second quarter economic stats. Remember when the Great Orange Liar was running around the country claiming the economy is wonderful and the second quarter would be great? How did that work out? The GDP dropped 32.9 points, which is not good. Trump sent out a fake economist, Larry Kudlow, to say that we are in good shape and moving in the right direction. The two of them should be evicted from the White House for misrepresenting reality.

Trump’s tweet is intended to distract the media from reporting the real problems — millions out of work, no one has money, the economy is melting down and, by the way, 152,000 Americans ARE DEAD from COVID-19. Donald Trump’s lack of action, poor communication and bad policies have caused DEATH!

The sky is falling. I originally wrote a harsh, name-calling paragraph to go in this spot, but after seeing the wonderful service for Representative John Lewis in Atlanta a golden angel tapped on my shoulder and said, “He’s winning when you call him names.” She is right. Calling the idiot in the White House the c, f, k, m or q word doesn’t do any good. What we really need is another MARCH ON WASHINGTON, where millions of people surround the people’s house, tear down the barriers and peacefully demand he leave. What would happen?

WHAT DID WE EXPECT?

The Trump Train Crashes, Again

I hate writing about Donald Trump. I wake up every day and I consume a healthy amount of news articles, posts and pontifications. Ever since I was a newspaper delivery boy in Pittsburgh sixty years ago, I’ve read about our government every day. I know that lunatics usually attract other lunatics to their camp, and when such a group decides to act on a rumor, conspiracy or lie, bad things happen. As we all know, the government is not always on the side of truth or its citizens. Small-minded people in power usually protect themselves at any cost, even if they must lie.

America is being beaten into submission by a global pandemic and many of our leaders either ignore the facts or, unbelievably, pass along false information. Donald John Trump has no idea what he’s talking about, especially when on matters of medical science and COVID-19. Why do they let him talk and who is the “they” in this equation? He cannot accept the fact that he could be wrong about anything. It amazes me that he will likely kill more people with his ongoing, ruthless promotion of an unproven drug. We have 63 million doses of hydroxychloroquine sitting in the national stockpile. The FDA says we shouldn’t use the drug to treat the coronavirus, while Trump continues pitching it The President says he treated himself with hydroxychloroquine, but no doctor has verified that claim. I wonder who in the administration owns stock in the manufacturers of this treatment?

Could Trump be so focused on his early commitment to this malaria drug that he’s trying to get doctors to treat COVID patients with it simply to justify his decision? Did you notice that the Donald retweeted a total WHACK JOB DOCTOR and claimed that she was creditable when he doesn’t know anything about her? It’s par for the man’s course of non-action. He’s an ineffective fool and needs to be removed from the process of fighting the virus.

At least the stupid tweets of Donald Trump Jr. got him off Twitter for twelve hours. I’ve been there, done that, have the T-shirt and can only hope he will get banned for life, like I did. Twitter claimed that I was, wait for it, “interrupting conversations” and “manipulating multiple accounts” to increase my trends. Isn’t that what the Trump family does? But let’s get back to the real problem, the obese, old man.

The big orange pumpkin is trying to get people to NOT WEAR MASKS, take a drug that could kill them and strong arm local boards to reopen their schools, now! He ignores the science, research and medical realities. He’s like Napoleon going to Waterloo and worrying more about getting the presidential suite at the Ritz Carlton than fortifying his army for the big battle. Trump has met his Waterloo, and it’s a tiny, silent, invisible virus.

Witch Doctor to Trust?

Trump and the media have been tricked into giving a crazy Houston doctor, an immigrant from Cameroon who has practiced medicine in New York at the Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center, too much press and power. Her name is Stella Gwandiku-Ambe Immanuel, and when not practicing at her small clinic in a strip mall she preaches at her church in the parking lot. While saying that the devil has a hand in masturbation, she also claims that scientists are taking alien DNA and producing a vaccine that will make people abandon their religions. This is more than a distraction; it’s a travesty.

And this just in from one of our readers, quoting Sean Hamill of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, “An infamous nursing home in Beaver County (north of Pittsburgh) where so many residents died was administering hydroxychloroquine and zinc with permission from the state department of health. They were supposed to get permission from the patients, or at least, the patients’ guardians, but they didn’t bother with that nicety.” These people should go to jail, and the person who encouraged this witchcraft should be in there with them.

The worst part of the President’s little press briefing yesterday was his stupid denial that there is no disagreement or conflict with the COVID task force. Trump keeps saying that he and Dr. Anthony Fauci get along, but then he maligns him. He says the same thing about Kim Jong-Un, President Xi and Putin. What a dolt! My mouth fell open when he riffed about how Fauci’s poll numbers were so much better than his and couldn’t understand why. He claimed that people don’t like him because of his personality. Poor baby.

To end my pile of steaming anger today I say that Trump’s personality is bothersome and annoying. He overuses the word “strongly” and often applies it incorrectly. I wonder if he ever studied the English language. When he talks about the horribly bad deaths of 151,000 Americans, he uses the word, “tremendous.” Now we know that word means a “great or large amount,” but it also means “extremely good or impressive and excellent.” Connotatively, one might think that Trump believes something that is bad is actually good. He’s full of what I call “hamburger helper” words that don’t add meaning and many times imply the opposite of what he’s trying to communicate. What did we possibly expect would happen? TRUMP IS AN IDIOT AND WE NEED TO BE RID OF HIM!

THE EIGHT MYTHS OF COVID-19

Not all that the White House says is true

Donald Trump is a damn bully and the best way to deal with him is to stand up to him. Aside from the on-going self-adulation, dislocated policies and dangerous theories, Trump has managed to confuse his experts, the leaders in the House and Senate, and bamboozle his employers, the American public. I am not a doctor or virologist, but I know how to read and research and today I’d like to bring some logic into the public realm.

As we nearly reach 144,000 coronavirus deaths with four million infected Americans, let’s look at the lies, the myths, the misdirects and the reckless musings of an idiot:

  1. The COVID-19 virus is a novel virus, meaning it has not been seen before and thwarting this evil germ will take techniques that differ from the way doctors treat a flu. The first myth from Donald Trump and many other crazy dictators and leaders around the world was that COVID-19 was just like the flu and not as dangerous. The numbers show otherwise. The global pandemic is twice to four times as dangerous. It’s just math, not myth.
  2. The idea of one country containing a virus might be a semi-valid criticism, and just like Donald Trump downplayed the virus at its start here, President Xi in China did the same. Their motivation was stock market stability. Trump’s over-stated fantasy claimed that he saved two million lives. He also said that keeping the death count below 100,000 would be a total success. What? If we could have confined the virus to those first hotspot states, Washington, California and the tri-state area of New York, we would have saved many of the lives that are now lost. It’s a damn myth that China could have stopped the coronavirus and we can’t either. Calling COVID-19 the “China virus” is like calling a mental disability the Trump syndrome.
  3. If you ignore a virus, it will just go away. Trump’s glowing statements about what he has accomplished when facts prove otherwise, make him look senseless. Here’s a great quote from the highly intelligent Ron Brownstein, “In some ways, Trump has become a prisoner of his own base.” He doesn’t test what he’s about to say against any other measure, than what those red hat heretics want to hear. The fact that Trump said, “If we stop testing right now, we’d have very few cases, if any.” Even a dead person, if given the chance, would muster enough strength to suggest, “It’s the death, stupid!”
  4. Keeping people away from work, entertainment and school is going to kill them just the same. Trump and his other propagandists have stated that if the economic shutdown continues, deaths by suicide “definitely would be in far greater numbers than the numbers that we’re talking about” for COVID-19 deaths. That is totally insane, but let’s not get confused by the sad statistics on suicides in America. According to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, suicide is the tenth leading cause of death in America. We had 48,344 people die by suicide in 2018 and they believe there were 1.4 million attempts. In a world where Donald John Trump is so loose with the facts, why would he give anyone the suggestion of suicide as a cure for being confined at home? It’s downright dangerous, but the man never filters his words.
  5. We have heard the distortion by our President that, “99% of COVID-19 cases are totally harmless.” Excuse my French, but “C’est l’idée la plus stupide que quiconque ait jamais dite.” Translation, Trump is fucking nonsensical beyond belief. The facts: 15% of COVID-19 cases become “very serious” and as many as 5% can lead to death. When someone uses the word, “harmless,” the logical conclusion is it’s benign to most people. The jury is still out regarding the long-term effects of COVID-19 and the true percentages. When the word, “harmless” is used, it connotatively suggests we can let our guard down. We cannot.
  6. The latest myth that has crept into the speech patterns of Trump and his clueless sycophants in Congress and around the country is that young kids are not as susceptible to getting COVID and do not spread it as much as adults do. Now I am going to make this personal. My daughter has always worked in daycare and she has been around two-year-old kids for years. In any given year, she and her five-year-old daughter will get as many as five colds and suffer through whatever the current yearly flu might be. To suggest that it’s okay to allow kids to be exposed to the virus and then go home is a form of government sanctioned murder of our teachers and other school workers. Here’s some true bad news for our schools. The Secretary of Education is Betsy DeVos, a rich donor with no experience or expertise in education or medicine; she is simply a useless public servant.
  7. There are no quick fixes like using disinfectants, untested drugs or sunshine to kill the virus. For months we were fed the drivel it will go away as soon as it gets warmer. That lie was based not on specific, scientific COVID data, but on the experiences we’ve had with normal influenza. The successful path would have been rigorous testing to determine who was infected then keeping healthy people away from them. We are doing a terrible job with contact tracing, which could help stop the spread of COVID. If you must go out in public, you should wear a mask. Dr. Debra Birx should be ashamed for not jumping out of her chair saying, “NO, NO, NO,” when Trump suggested ingesting or injecting bleach could cure the virus.
  8. You can trust what is coming out of the President’s mouth regarding the COVID crisis. It’s all defensive posturing, political hogwash and very little useful advice. Any intelligent person watching this governmental cluster-fuck can clearly see that Donald Trump’s approach has made our situation worse, not better. According to Forbes magazine, “64% of Americans distrust what Trump says about the Covid-19 pandemic—including 46% who say they don’t trust him ‘at all’—while only 34% trust what he says.”

I just read something brilliant from Marshall Shepherd, Director of the Atmospheric Science program at the University of Georgia. He has coined the term, “Wishcasting.” This is what we get daily from Donald Trump. Mr. Shepherd amplified his concept, “People ‘wishcast’ scenarios in our minds, but they don’t jibe with what the science or the data is actually bearing out.” When we hear about someone winning the lottery, our first thought is that it should have been us. We don’t feel good for the person who won a million dollars. We “wishcast” our thoughts and prayers every day, but that isn’t how we solve a problem. You could buy a lottery ticket every day of your life and never win a million dollars.

Hopefully, this list of myths will not grow, but I suspect it will. By the way, that is not a wish, just an educated guess. A friend of mine just wrote that in her school district in Georgia, three of her co-worker principals are on ventilators and one high school coach in his twenties has died, I wished it were better there. I know that opening schools is just more “wishcasting” by Trump, who would rather kill some people and win another election then do what is right for America. That isn’t a myth, it’s just who he is.

The book that tells it like it is…

Gold, God, Guns & Goofballs: If you only read one chapter of this book, try “Take a Knee for America” and think about our never-ending conflicts between minorities and the police. I’m not asking you to take a stand but having a deep and honest conversation about why some people think the way they do would be productive. This is a book for the moment which seeks to start a conservation about peace. And if you are worried about social media, you really should check out the chapter called “Social Media Menace.”

TRUMP’S GRAND CAPITULATION

“That’s not enforceable”

On national TV last night, President Donald John Trump used the words, “It will probably, unfortunately, get worse before it gets better,” and with that one phrase he invalidated weeks of words attempting to downplay the crisis, even going so far as calling the whole matter a hoax. He added, “We’re asking everybody that when you are not able to socially distance, wear a mask, get a mask. Whether you like the mask or not, they have an impact, they’ll have an effect and we need everything we can get.” I’ll ignore the poor construct of the English language. but Donny Boy is going to piss off the far-right, and Fox News will have to rewrite all their anointment scripts and routines. Gee, do they now point out that Trump was wrong all along, or do they just smile and praise him for his quick action to bolster his poor poll numbers?

Many of our state governors have now created a lame-ass justification for their inaction on signing a law to mandate masks. “That’s not enforceable,” they say. Why? I have never seen weaker, less compassionate governance in America. Governors have no problem calling up the National Guard when a disaster hits their states, so why can’t they act to keep people safer? Is it because of a vague notion that people will comply with a regulation only if it can be compelled by law enforcement? What about seat belts, smoking in public locations and having a driver’s license? Heck, in my county I cannot cut down a tree in my yard without replacing it with a tree of equal girth. That could cost me more than $1,000, but is it enforceable? The county can’t possibly know every tree.

Trump will still NOT sign an executive order because he’s a chicken-shit president. I can imagine what Teddy Roosevelt would say if were alive, “It is hard to fail, but it is worse never to have tried to succeed.” He did speak those words, and he was right. Trump has failed America by not trying to help us. What advice might President John Kennedy have given to Donald Trump? Perhaps, “There are risks and costs to action, but they are far less than the long-range risks of comfortable inaction.” Abraham Lincoln would whisper in the Donald’s ear, “The probability that we may fall in the struggle ought not to deter us from the support of a cause we believe to be just.”

Of course, what those leaders would say to Trump in private would likely contain harsh language and possibly profanity; well, maybe not Lincoln. I am curious how long Trump’s thoughtful stance on the COVID-19 crisis will last. Later today will he revert to whiny diatribes about how great things were before China unleashed this terrible “plague” on America?

Trump has decided that China created a pandemic to hurt him and will start to paint them as the enemy that he, and he alone, can conquer. The Donald insists he has a great relationship with President Xi. I would replace “great” with “dysfunctional” because Xi doesn’t tell Trump the truth. I am disturbed that no one from the media asks our president this question, “Why do you keep scolding Xi for not containing the virus when you have been unable to contain it here?”

There is no proof that any country can totally stop this virus. We saw what happened in Sweden. They killed a lot of older, weaker citizens in their mythical desire for “herd immunity.” We saw karma win in Brazil when their leader made fun of the virus.  Not only did their President get the virus, but their COVID data is horrible.  Brazil has confirmed 2.17 million known cases, with 81,597 deaths.

Trump blaming China for not “stopping the curse in its tracks” is verbiage for a speech but it’s not based on any science or knowledge about how viruses work. You cannot build a wall to stop a virus. Trump claimed to prevent Chinese citizens from entering the USA, but in fact many traveled here. Here’s a New York Times headline from April 4, 2020, “430,000 People Have Traveled From China to U.S. Since Coronavirus Surfaced.” They detailed 1,300 direct flights to 17 cities before President Trump’s travel restrictions. Since that so-called “ban,” nearly 40,000 Americans and other travelers from China made the trip. Their greeting upon arrival was spotty screening, at best. Trump is either lying or totally unaware of these facts. I’ll go with lying.

Donald Trump is incapable of understanding complex matters and situations. Someone should have taken the orange dumbbell into his private dining room and explained it this way, “Imagine that you have five men and five women sharing a cottage for a week of swinging and debauchery. You, Donald Trump, are one of the men. During the vacation you learn that one of the men in the party has a deadly venereal disease, but his identity cannot be disclosed because of a health privacy law known as HIPAA.”

Trump now considers his options. Should he get a nurse to come to the cabin and test everyone? He thinks no, because the more we test the worse it will seem. I’m extremely strong and healthy and I’ll use protection, but I don’t have enough for everyone so I will protect only myself. The next day the disease has spread to eight of the ten people. Trump thinks it’s going to worse before it gets better, but he’s fine because he’s protected. Next, he gets a fever and realizes he was the source of the sickness. He leaves the campsite to get help at a hospital. He asks another to explain the problem to all the campers so he can avoid facing them. Trump doesn’t even remember how many people he screwed.

I’ll end this post with REALITY. Trump’s change in tone has nothing to do with caring, empathy or knowledge. Kellyanne Conway wrote that announcement to counter the polling crisis, not the pandemic problem.

Trump is a fool. He’ll defund education, healthcare insurance and money for testing. He will attempt to close the CDC and will avoid all good tactics because he’s cares about himself only. God save the nation from this sloth with fake, thin skin.

THE TRUMP TRAVESTY

Desperate Dictator Disconnected & Down

Donald John Trump, the 45th President of the United States trusts only his ill-informed opinions and often fires a person as the solution to a problem. He’s not interested in loyalty; he craves only obedience. You follow or you will be fired. Here’s where we stand as another dreadfully mismanaged week is closing.

Between the Bolton book and now, the Mary Trump tome, I am learning that my overbearing belief that the Donald Trump is a truly wicked and deranged human being has not been harsh enough. I have nothing against the mentally ill, until one becomes a risk to life and limb. I had no reaction yesterday to the young man with Turrets syndrome sitting twenty feet away from me in the restaurant. The kid’s loud, verbal ticks made more sense than what the Donald has said this week.

Trump knows that Joe Biden is kicking his ass in the polls. Even though Trump poo-poos polls, he’s sees them as the love meter in his distorted and pathetic life. He doesn’t help anyone unless they help him first. May I throw a left hook here? Trump’s whiteness is neither real nor supreme. This orange make-up-monster is more fake than anything that has ever been written about him. He had to do something about Biden, but, as always, his choice was inept and inappropriate.

Donald Trump’s long and windy political speech, that was misrepresented as a serious press conference, fooled no one other than Fox News. Most of the networks covered only the few questions from the press, which characteristically were not answered. When replying to the question of a CBS reporter, Trump solidly stepped into the horse turds on the highway. He loudly defended the police brutality toward African Americans by stating that cops kill more white people than Black people and concluded by scolding the reporter for her “bad” question. This gives me no comfort. Was he saying the police are systemically violent? He next attempted to defend the displaying of the Confederate flag as good use of the First Amendment. Why does this man continually endorse our lawless leaders and symbols of the south while comparing himself to Abraham Lincoln?

Trump’s move to have all state health departments report directly to the White House instead of the CDC makes no sense. It is simply a way for Trump to control the bad news. DeSantis in Florida and Kemp in Georgia tried the same thing, but they were caught. Neither will be reelected. Trump is a criminal and uses the tactics of dictators, tyrants and autocrats. He’s trying to pull the wool over our eyes instead of asking us to put masks over our faces.

Now we hear that Russia is trying to hack into the institutions doing COVID-19 vaccine research. If the President doesn’t increase sanctions and directly confront Putin, I will be more convinced than ever that Trump is a traitor. He’s had four years to put Putin in his place and has repeatedly failed to lead.

I don’t give a rat’s ass about Brad Parscale, the recently demoted Trump Campaign Manager. He got caught in the Donald’s Catch-22 that if you are too close to a bad situation then under the bus you go. Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump keep luring the big man into bad choices, people and ideas but somehow, they are never responsible for any following failure. It wasn’t Parscale’s fault that the Tulsa rally wasn’t packed to the rafters; it was Trump’s fault. He should never have asked his loyal subjects to come to a coronavirus petri dish. The people were smart enough to stay away, but Trump’s need for love cannot make things just go away. This disillusioned sociopath really believes the lack of attendance was Parscale’s blunder. Those who are liable must be punished!

The TikTok teenagers flooding the registration system fooled Parscale, but he should have known. Sometimes, people who pledge money never send the money. Similarly, some of Trump’s fans registered for the rally never intending to go to Tulsa for a risky event. I am enjoying what has been written in some back-alley websites. Allegedly, Mr. Brad has been making millions on the side using his personal Facebook page to buy Trump ads. He’s coning the con man out of his money right before his eyes. I would love to see his tax returns, too.

Trump is depressed, and those around him are falling prey to the “abused child syndrome” and doing everything they can to make him feel better. Let’s never forget that close to 138,000 Americans have died and Trump’s Press Secretary stood before us to defend every Trump lie. Kayleigh McEnany is complicit. Mark Meadows is saying and doing things that are killing people. Let’s add in all the Republican dolts blindly supporting Trump. All of them should be held accountable, but not blamed. They are just idiots on Donald Trump’s big stage. It’s the playwright in the oval office who must be charged and defeated.

The real travesty of this President is carved in a cliché that we hear more and more, “None of this had to happen.” The ostrich may not see the danger above ground, but sooner or later a lightning bolt will blast from the sky and strike his feathered butt. I want someone to erect a statue of this demigod, just so we can tear it down, stomp on it and burn the bronze back to the Earth. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust. The Donald is going down and millions of Americans will be happy he’s gone. In NOVEMBER we must save America from all those self-serving goofballs in government. Why should people have to die because Trump is a limp leader? Get angry, get ready and let’s get back to work!

THE BOLTON BOOK

For those too busy to read

Most people have one of two viewpoints on John Bolton. Some see him for what he is, an intelligent neoconservative (neocon) while others view him as a self-serving public servant who decided that he knew better than Donald Trump. According to his book, The Room Where It Happened: A White House Memoir this Bolton curmudgeon is always right and has the power to back sell. In diplomatic terms, his righteousness attempts more to impress and less to illuminate. That being said, there is value in reading this book. For those on the left, it reinforces all the previous memoirs and hatchet jobs. For those who follow the neocon religion, you will see that Bolton is just as recalcitrant as Trump. If you call anyone who confronts President Trump’s petulance and lies a traitor, you will only get steamed.

One of the best quotes in the book is Bolton’s reaction to the way Trump typically handled communication. Bolton said, “As was often the case, Trump had truth mixed with misunderstanding and malice.” One of the low points in the tome is Bolton’s defense of his statement that we should employ the “Libyan model” when dealing with North Korea and Kim Jung-Un. In fact, after Muammar al-Gaddafi got rid of his nuclear capabilities the Arab summer came. The two have nothing to do with each other, but in the latter Gaddafi was run out of office, captured by a mob and murdered on a road. Bolton uses the Latin “post hoc, ergo propter hoc,” which means after this, therefore, because of this. The use of Latin throughout the book is a literary trick. He inserts arcane words and phrases to stamp his IQ on the text rather than aiming for effective and understandable writing.

Throughout his book, Bolton posits an incredulous vision of the past. Of course, the supreme leader in North Korea heard the phrase “Libyan model” and assumed that America was going to take away his bombs, overthrow him, then kill him and unite the peninsula. The walk-back in the book is flimsy.

Bolton clearly highlights one of Trump’s worst habits, not listening. Certainly, one can keep their mouth shut while not listening, but Bolton points out a different situation with Trump. When someone starts talking, the “leader of the free world” rudely interrupts and filibusters until everyone submits to his will and parrots his opinions. Bolton claims his role was keeping Trump from disastrous actions. He also shares his harsh criticism of the Trump term, “My Generals.” It can best be said that Bolton had a pure Napoleonic complex and viewed himself as “protecting” the nation from an ill-prepared president.

John Bolton’s book is noticeably big. Its 592 pages seem to cover every event that happened while John Bolton was Trump’s “Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs.” Hmmm, his title is just about as long as the book. It’s written in diary style and follows the timeline of the way events unfolded. Don’t expect any descriptive passages based on visual observation. The book mostly focuses on the dialogs of its main characters.

Caution, in its initial release this book has many semi-typos. This is probably the result of too many hands touching the work. The White House wanted much of it to be redacted because they said it contained extremely sensitive, classified information. That’s doubtful. I think they were concerned about how the book’s details make Trump look bad.

Most of the book covers what Trump said, and how he handled leaders around the world. Those accounts are embarrassing not only to Trump, but to all of us. We elected an idiot. Trump’s lack of discipline with and execution of the duties of his office is stunningly glaring in this book. I came away from each chapter thinking the 45th President is so misinformed that he’s dangerous.

Who should read this book? The person who first comes to mind is Donald Trump. It’s John Bolton’s big reveal of all those times he didn’t speak truth to Trump’s face and the information he didn’t share with the oversight committees in Congress. If only Trump could read, perhaps he could begin to understand how people feel about him. Of course, it would hurt his feelings, but at this point who gives a damn?

A legal specialist might suggest that much of what is in Bolton’s book is hearsay, but at least he has conveyed those things he “thought” and “witnessed.” It would have been so much better had Bolton testified during the Impeachment Trial. Those involved in supporting Trump during that debacle should study this book and then ask themselves, “Why am I supporting our imbecile president?”

I highly recommend this book to any young person who is thinking about going into government, law or politics. It clearly expresses not only how governance should NOT be conducted, but how things SHOULD work in our Executive Branch. What I took away from this book is that Bolton believes Presidents George H.W. Bush, George W. Bush and Barack Obama are not as smart as he is. Each of his opinions is highly filtered through his own ideological prism. While at times he can be objective, his sense of humor is sarcastic and heavily dosed with ad hominem.

There are some descriptions in Bolton’s book that make me question if he wrote the opposite of what he believes or was just being sarcastic. Most of the time my conclusion was the latter, but anyone could easily misunderstand his position. I have an impression that John Bolton is just as recalcitrant as his former boss. He’s also a “save his own ass-type” with a lengthy chapter on Venezuela, which is Trump’s and Bolton’s personal “bay of pigs” embarrassment. Bolton blames everyone else for the failures, just like Trump blames Bolton.  Bolton admits that he combined the pandemic healthcare group with the biological warfare group, claiming that made them more efficient. He says they did their job on the COVID-19 case but that the real problem was the empty seat behind the resolute desk in the Oval Office, a clear attempt at his own vindication.

Now that we have psychological details about Trump’s life in the new book by his niece, Mary L. Trump, Bolton’s tome will be pushed aside and slowly dropped from news coverage. For a true news freak and political junky like me, Mary L. Trump’s book is amazing. A person trying to figure out who to vote for in November will view the book’s content through their own filters and prejudices.

If you want to save your money, you could wait until Bolton’s book arrives at your public library, if it is still open during the pandemic. To me, John Bolton has confirmed what all others have said before. When your critics think you are bad at what you do, and everyone who once worked for you thinks you are stupid or foolish, what more do we need to know? Many who have any sort of conversation with Donald Trump feel that he doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Bolton’s book simply confirms this.

Bolton says he won’t vote for Trump or Biden in November. Although Bolton wants us to think he’s some great “patriot,” he will waste his vote on someone else, like a “Bernie-bro.” I had no respect for John Bolton before I read his book and that hasn’t changed. He’s just another person who was tormented in his youth, spent his life being a good student with an excellent IQ and worked over and over to prove himself. He may be getting back at those who scorned his intellect, but he is in no way helping America. He’s helping John Bolton. At best, the book is a B-minus. It has some pictures at then end, but still, Trump will never read it.

BULLETS TO BALLOTS TO BOYCOTTS

The New Trump America, Ugly, Cruel & Vindictive

From America’s very beginning, there have always been complaints and grievances about many of our ways. It makes sense. Some people left Europe because of religious persecution and threats. The Amish were jailed and killed for not baptizing their children until they reached late teens. The Catholics were harassed by the Church of England. The Irish ran out of potatoes, complaining so much while making their way to America for the French fries. Seriously, we were against many things over there and we came over here to get away from things bad or unjust.

Once we arrived on these shores, King George III became our complaint target. He was exploiting us at every turn. The biggest break came when England tried to take land away from those early Americans who used guns and bullets to end their indentured servitude. Those settlers never considered they were doing the same thing to African Americans, but that’s another story. The fact that our founding fathers gave only white landowners the right to vote was terrible, but at least ballots replaced bullets in decision making.

All people want to have equal rights and equal voices. As one historian recently said, “The Declaration of Independence and the Constitution weren’t perfect, but the language was so well chosen, one could use the words to demand more.” First, we freed the slaves, then we gave African American men the right to vote and, finally, we gave all women the right to vote. We always want more, such as eliminating discrimination and poll taxes, but we have achieved neither. To this day, a vast conspiracy of voter suppression is still happening in our country. We have stupid tricks like gerrymandering which distort voter choices.

We all have a right to protest and peacefully air our grievances. It’s in the First Amendment, which says nothing about looting, burning and bullets. Still, we are allowed to speak our minds. Some even yell at others for wearing a mask to help rid us of a virus, but that too is protected speech. Not wearing a mask is a dumb idea but speaking against doing so is protected.

The other day, a woman asked me about the phrase “cancel culture.” It’s a popular term that refers to a form of boycott after a person has spoken or acted in a questionable way. If the person is a celebrity, they have much they could lose, but when there is nothing of value to take away from someone’s stupid remarks, all you can do is besmirch their reputation. If a former but now cashless Hollywood star posts a rash remark on Twitter, they may be discredited instantly, dashing any chance of a comeback career.

The CEO of Goya Foods, Robert Unanue, visited the White House and said, “We are all truly blessed at the same time to have a leader like President Trump, who is a builder.” The heir and leader of the Goya empire continued, “And that’s what my grandfather did: He came to this country to build, to grow, to prosper.” Of course, people of all races and origins took to social media to launch the #Goyaway and the #BoycottGoya hashtags intending to hurt the company. I have a hunch those efforts will be successful.

Now as much I try not to quote anything from unlucky sperm Don Jr., this one fits nicely into the discussion, “The leftist mob wants to cancel one of the largest Hispanic-owned companies in America because they recognize that the president has shown great leadership.”

Let me add some perspective. The Unanue family owns the Goya company and the brand is worth $1.1 billion. As legend goes, their grandfather moved from Spain to Puerto Rico with only one dollar in his pocket. He then moved to New York and started the Goya company. Robert Unanue may see similarities between his family and the Trumps, but maybe he should have tempered his praise and questioned why Mexicans are rapists and why kids from that country were put in cages. Before becoming a poster boy for the “Cancel Culture” of America, perhaps Mr. Unanue could have asked President Donald John Trump what he was doing to curtail the damage COVID-19 is doing to the Hispanic communities of his country.

Criminal First Daughter

But getting back to beans, this just in. The president’s advisor and part-time daughter decided to come to the aid of the Goya company and Mr. Unanue by tweeting what was a blatant endorsement to her many followers on the social media platform. This is a violation of law. To be exact, according to the Justice Department, “an employee may not use his public office for his own private gain or for that of persons or organizations with which he is associated personally. An employee’s position or title should not be used to coerce; to endorse any product, service or enterprise; or to give the appearance of governmental sanction.” She should resign today.

What I would like to ask Robert Unanue is whether Goya took PPP money. We should know if they did. Can anyone find out? This might be just another Trump quid-pro-quo, with the bean maker risking his reputation for a fistful of dollars.

Some sponsors are pulling their advertising from Facebook because of that company’s lack of control over political ads and hatred. The sponsors feel that Facebook has created a negative environment for their ads. Some companies have cancelled their ads on Fox News’ Tucker Carlson show. If you want to help in the effort to get a TV show canceled, just find a way to convince the sponsors to retreat.

My theory on all this boycott, cancel culture, putdown stuff is that it comes partly from Trump but also from peoples’ desire to have a say in things. Yes, you can use your ballot, but it’s obvious that great results often don’t follow. Politicians are incredibly flawed and often don’t operate in office the way they said they would when campaigning. Other times we must choose between equally unworthy candidates. My home state is Florida, and I had to choose between an ill-equipped zealot without a brain and a loquacious smooth operator with a recently disclosed addiction problem. The guy without the brain won.

So, yes, we want to cancel things and people. If we could recall the Governor of Florida right now, we would. If we could replace Governor DeSantis with Nikki Fried, the Commissioner of Agriculture and Consumer Services, we would be far better off, but that won’t happen. It’s hard to boycott a Governor, but you it’s great that we can heckle him at a press conference, which is what happened yesterday. I applaud that guy but wonder how in hell he got in there. By the way, the COVID crisis in Florida is real and is being handled ineptly by the guy without a brain.

We don’t need to use bullets and we must wait too long or get poor results when using ballots. For now, let’s use our voices to protest the fools who claim to know best but are doing the worst. Should they be sponsored in any way, boycott whatever it is they are selling.

POLITICIANS SUCK!

A Vacuum Without Truth

Politicians are people, and all people have moments when they make senseless statements, but what a politician says matters. Due to our fabulous free press we get fact-checking, opinions and analysis of our “public servants.” Often we see their lies.

Politicians have tons of research and think they know the beliefs of the majority. Before a politician gets elected, he or she will say just about anything to get the job, but many times they don’t follow through on their statements and promises. It gets my goat when a politician continues their lies or misdirection instead of admitting they were wrong. They prefer to make up a second lie to cover the first. That’s why THEY SUCK!

Let’s get specific. Kelly Loeffler is a big donor who bought the Georgia seat in the Senate. She is a Republican who votes 100% the way Trump would want her to do. Ms. Loeffler and her husband handed Donald Trump a million dollars for his reelection. Loeffler has also been accused of insider trading. After she heard a security briefing on the possibility of COVID-19 coming to our shore, she and her husband sold a bunch of stocks. She wasn’t the only person in Congress who sold stock, and they were all questioned and investigated by the Security Exchange Commission. No one was charged. It’s important for you to know that Loeffler’s husband’s company owns the New York Stock Exchange.

Kelly looks like the typical wealthy politician who wants your money to add to the piles she already has. She donated $750,000 to Restore Our Future, a Super PAC supporting former Governor Mitt Romney’s 2012 presidential campaign. She and her husband recently gave the National Republican Senatorial Committee $247,500. Like I said, she bought her appointment. Trump wants Doug Collins, the House member from the 9th district in North Georgia, to be the Senator in Georgia. Trump believe Collins is more supportive of him. It’s too bad the Democrats don’t have a top-shelf candidate to run in this special “winner takes all” election. By the way, the other two candidates are African American Democrats.

That brings us to racism. I lived in Georgia for more than twenty years, and even as late as 2000 racism could be found on every corner. As one of the original 13 states, Georgia is especially important. The population of the peach state is about 10.6 million, which will probably soar to 12 million after the census. The 2018 US Census Bureau estimated that the state’s population is 58.3% White, 31.6% Black, 4.2% Asian and 2.9% consisting of smaller races and tribes. Kelly Loeffler has no intension of serving that 31.6% of African Americans voters. Here’s proof.

Senator Loeffler owns a minority share of Atlanta’s women’s professional basketball team, the Atlanta Dream. In a letter Loeffler recently sent to WNBA President Cathy Engelbert, she screeched that Black Lives Matter (BLM) is “totally misaligned with the values and goals of the WNBA and the Atlanta Dream, where we support tolerance and inclusion.” Instead of having WNBA players wear warmup shirts emblazoned with Black Lives Matter and courts painted with the same message, the senator urged the WNBA to put American flags on its jerseys as a “unifying rallying point for the American people.” Doesn’t the arena already have a US flag that we see while singing the National Anthem before every game?

In her letter, Loeffler went on to claim that the BLM movement harbors “anti-Semitic views” and promotes “violence and destruction across the country.” Then, like most Trump sycophants, she appeared on the Fox News channel to amplify her views. During her interview she misdirected with, “This is a very divisive organization based on Marxist principles. They threatened to burn the system down, literally and figuratively, if they don’t get what they want. This is an organization that seeks to destroy American principles, and I had to draw the line.” I’m glad she can draw, but can she read?

PERSONAL NOTE TO MS. LOEFFLER: Kelly, you really embarrassed yourself when trying to link BLM with Karl Marx. I’m not sure what you learned at the DePaul business school, but if you took the time to read you would see that Marx’ and Engel’s theories are more than racist, and they probably had a great influence on Adolf Hitler. They said, “Races endowed with superior qualities would boost economic development and productivity, while the less endowed ones would hold humanity back.” That is why Hitler killed Jews and why southern racists, the KKK and white supremacists killed black people. In short, dog, you are barking up the wrong tree.

I am sure Kelly Loeffler is a “nice person” and she would probably think I’m a jerk, but I would ask her to read the chapter Take a Knee for America in my most recent book, Gold, God, Guns & Goofballs. Most rich, white people have no grasp of the Black Lives Matter movement and its layers of nuance and power of its message. They aren’t saying a white person’s life doesn’t matter, but they are demanding their lives must mean more that what they currently have.

In February of this year, the House of Representative passed a law moving lynching onto the list of federal crimes. The vote was 410 to 4 and, oh, the fucked up four who voted against it are Ted Yoho (R-FL), Louie Gohmert (R-TX), Thomas Massie (R-KY), and Justin Amash (I-MI). It has taken us 120 years to get this far, but I am sure Kelly Loeffler will vote against it when that bill comes to the Senate for a vote,.

3,446 African Americans (that we know of) were lynched in America between 1882 and 1968. Murdering Black Americans with ropes was designed to intimidate them. Louie Gohmert serves as the US Representative from Texas’ first congressional district. I am sure he would never stand by and watch any human be lynched, but his actions and words are NOT helpful.

Kelly Loeffler’s comments are just more white people talk to stir up a base. They are also a cry for acceptance from Donald John Trump. I would ask Loeffler if she is against police brutality and wrongful deaths. I would ask if her relatives ever owned slaves. Mine have, and I am deeply embarrassed about it. Loeffler is not deaf on this subject, she’s brain dead about race relations in America today. She comes off like a 1950s politician, and they really SUCKED!

Senator Loeffler will lose the election because she failed to understand the need to serve ALL THE PEOPLE. It’s bad business for her to put down the viewpoints of her players (workers) and most African American basketball fans in Atlanta. If the players don’t play, there are no games. The players of the Atlanta Dream are asking Loeffler to sell her shares of the team and get out of the way. The American dream should trump the inanity of owner of the Atlanta Dream. The vacuum in this case is obviously between Kelly Loeffler’s ears. Next.
