STOP MAKING THINGS UP

Trump’s Insidious Truth-Bending

The President of the United States is claiming that foreign nations or domestic bad actors broke into our election systems to change the vote counts against him. Now you might think I am exaggerating this, but here’s a Twitter quote from the man himself: “REPORT: DOMINION DELETED 2.7 MILLION TRUMP VOTES NATIONWIDE. DATA ANALYSIS FINDS 221,000 PENNSYLVANIA VOTES SWITCHED FROM PRESIDENT TRUMP TO BIDEN. 941,000 TRUMP VOTES DELETED. STATES USING DOMINION VOTING SYSTEMS SWITCHED 435,000 VOTES FROM TRUMP TO BIDEN.” Let me add some clarity to his words. Dominion Voting Systems is a corporation that makes and sells electronic voting hardware and software. Dominion is a Canadian company with US Headquarters in Denver. They have strongly and convincingly refuted Trump’s claims.

Internet messaging protocol suggests a person posting in all caps is SCREAMING! So, our crazy, current president is screeching his claims of fraud. His tweet inspired action in the intelligence community and they quickly responded with a news release. The group, including the Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) and the National Association of State Election Directors, issued what appears to be a definitive coda to the 2020 vote.

“There is no evidence that any voting system deleted or lost votes, changed votes, or was in any way compromised. All of the states with close results in the 2020 presidential race have paper records of each vote, allowing the ability to go back and count each ballot if necessary. This is an added benefit for security and resilience. This process allows for the identification and correction of any mistakes or errors.” Do you know what? I’m going to believe these guys and not the President.

Biggest Crowd, PERIOD!

We are 69 days away from removing this narcissist from the White House. Most believe he will never concede to Biden or admit that he lost. As he has done over the last four years, Donald Trump seems to take joy in making things up, even if they embarrass our country or mislead our allies. Everyone in the world knows this man cannot be trusted, and many of them are lining up to phone Uncle Joe and congratulate him. They know it’s over; why doesn’t Trump?

This just in: the Pennsylvania law firm to bring the suit against the state wanting them not to count any mail-in ballots that arrived late but postmarked before or on Election Day, withdrew from the case. In the motion filed at 11:53 p.m. on Thursday, Porter Wright lawyers Ronald Hicks and Carolyn McGee — who work out of the firm’s Pittsburgh office — said the campaign was “in the process of retaining and causing other counsel” to take over the case. The attorneys said they and the campaign had agreed on the withdrawal, but Hicks and McGee were vague about the reason for their exit. I guess one cannot just make things up in court?

It’s shameful that the US State Department is not forwarding messages they receive addressed to President-Elect Joe Biden. It reminds me of a romantic breakup in high school, where two immature ex-lovers take inappropriate steps when ending their relationship. Yes, Donnie, it’s hard to take but can’t you suck it up? Everyone in the world thinks you’re a cry baby, even the Republicans.

Not letting GSA Administrator Emily W. Murphy execute the transition paperwork to facilitate activities, budgeting, office space and, most importantly, daily national security briefs for Biden is a childish, high school maneuver that will be challenged today by several high-ranking Republicans. The President is more focused on firing people he doesn’t like before Christmas, than fighting the virus or facing the fact that he lost the election! Get over it, Donald!

Truth-bending is just as harmful as lies, and some of his supporters say it’s just Donald’s “cute way.” The truth is, Trump’s main method of operation is always based on made up stuff because he won’t take any time to understand the truth. I’m sure you have known people who grab onto a belief early in life and then make it a focus. A well-respected businessman once told me to never trust a man who smokes a pipe. Okay, lots of smart and worthy men smoked pipes but this guy locked onto that one incorrect belief.

Bad Face Day

I have this thing about Trump’s makeup. A few men in my past wore makeup. One professor I studied under wore a light covering on his face. I always thought he was covering up his closeted homosexuality. I worked in theater and was around a great deal of makeup in those days, but that had a purpose of entertainment. Why is Donald John Trump orange?  Seriously, why? When he holds his hands up near his face you can see the vast difference in hue between his mug and fingers.

The lawsuits and the scam of raising money to help him save America from this “rigged election” precisely align with his usual ways of dealing with life challenges. He never looks in the mirror, takes off his makeup and calls it a day. He is driven to call people late at night to bolster his frail and damaged ego. What is most disturbing is the way his rhetoric and deceit have been adopted by other people in high places. When Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick was confronted with the findings of the Heritage Foundation that no widespread voter fraud was uncovered in America, he bluntly blurted, “They are wrong.” That’s it, Dan? That’s all you have? Where’s your evidence or proof? Remember, the Heritage Foundation is a conservative think-tank that picked all of Trump’s Supreme Court nominations. Just saying something is NOT TRUE doesn’t make it so. It makes the person speaking the words look stupid.

Without facts and evidence, no one should believe anything Trump says. I cannot believe I am saying this about a US President, but it’s true. Trump lies about almost everything. Those times he uses an unrelated fact to “prove” an untruthful statement are nothing more than lies. It’s similar to the way some believe that that saying, “All Lives Matter” defeats the slogan Black Lives Matter, which they fear means “White Lives Don’t Matter.” A bad cop, regardless of race, is a bad cop. I don’t have to add that “not all cops are bad” to soften the danger or reality of bad cops.

The best thing now would be some adult forcing Trump into normal order so our long-standing traditions can move us toward a peaceful transition. I don’t need to see Joe and Don sitting in the Oval Office, awkwardly and uncomfortably posing with each other. I don’t need to see Donnie and Melania standing behind the Chief Justice swearing in Joe Biden in as the 46th President of the United States. Those things would be nice, but realist-me understands they are not likely.

Nothing about Trump is nice. We wish him well, but good riddance! “Don’t let the door hit you where you sit.” Oh, and see you in court, Donald!

LUNATIC LOSER FROTHING AGAIN

Trump Takes a Dump on Democracy

I went into the 2020 election with the belief that it would be remarkably close. Because of the pandemic, I wasn’t sure people would be supportive of cult leader Donald John Trump. The man himself offered this truism, “It’s politics and you never know.” Yes, but what concerns me most is Trump is not a good loser and he will do tremendously awful things if reelected. He never had, and never will have, a mandate to rule. He’s a high polarity personality who pisses off as many people as he pleases.

It didn’t surprise me when, in the middle of the night with more than nine states yet to be decided, President Trump attacked the legitimate vote counting process and suggested any attempt to further tally ballots amounted to disenfranchising his supporters. How can this asshole say that? Well, it’s because he cares only about himself. Trump is a bad actor who should never have been allowed to walk onto the stage.

President Liar

The Donald said, “Millions and millions of people voted for us. There is a very sad group of people is trying to disenfranchise that group of people.” What the fuck is he talking about? Millions of people voted for the other guy, too. Are they just chopped liver?

Despite Trump’s misleading statements, falsehoods and lies it’s easy to see that his true motive is an ASSAULT ON OUR DEMOCRACY He actually stood there and insisted that states where vote counts currently show him leading should be frozen in his favor, PERIOD. No need to count them all; just make me the king. What a dolt!

He then extended his grievances and martyr-syndrome with this, “We were getting ready for a big celebration. We were winning everything. And all of a sudden it was just called off.” His endless gripe about fraud is nauseating. Who is he trying to fool?

Of course, he said he would go to the US Supreme Court and stated that he wants “all voting to stop.” The voting has stopped, you fucking idiot. It’s the counting that goes on. If neither candidate gets to 270, the House of Representatives will pick the president, and the Senate will select a vice president. Yes, we could have a president and vice president from different parties. Used to be that way.

After watching TV all night I don’t have the energy to write more today, but let me assure you that I will fight for a legal outcome of this election with all my strength. Please, let this end so we can focus our attention on getting rid of the virus.

OLD JOE & THE JERK

Pure American Political Graffiti

Most Americans have an aversion to the political season. Every four years it disrupts our lives, goes on far too long and the bombardment of TV spots, direct mail and information overload makes it seem like a giant circus has come to town. Of course, the political process also produces a lot of horse and elephant shit that no one cleans up. I am glad the debates are over, and we are coming to the end of this insanity.

There was no winner at last night’s debate. The Democrats are saying Biden won while Trump followers say their man really landed some punches. All that aside, what we clearly saw last night were the differences between old Joe Biden and the jerk we’ve come to hate, Donald John Trump. Like any two characters in a movie, both are flawed. One is harmlessly competent, while the other is dangerous to our democracy.

Trump is always on defense when it comes to race, racism and racist rhetoric. We heard Joe Biden distance himself from bad decisions of the past. He knows and admits he was wrong in his handling of Anita Hill during the Clarence Thomas’ confirmation hearing. Biden was a major force in the passing of the 1994 crime bill, and he’s played straight regarding its impact on African American men. In the past Joe has said, “There’s another part of my long record that’s being grossly misrepresented: the 1994 crime bill.” Last night, however, he was noticeably direct when saying it was a mistake. That has meaning in a historical context. When looking back at the impact of Ronald Reagan’s policies and executive orders on people of color, you would think Reagan was working for the Klan.

Perhaps Donald Trump’s most unbelievable line during the debate was his repeated statement of, “I am the least racist person in this whole room.” It’s a declaration not only impossible to prove, but nonsensical to any thinking individual. It reminds me of the disingenuous lie often said by a person accused of being a racist, “I am not a racist; some of my best friends are Black.” I have no doubt that Trump is a racist. Here’s an excerpt of a TIME magazine article, “In interviews over the years, Trump has credited his genes for everything from his health to his success, and he’s noted that his children and grandchildren will benefit from them as well.” Once you go down this path, you fall into the trap of what was once known as eugenics, a misguided medical movement of the early 1900s.

This extremely flawed theory was based on the work of British scientist Francis Galton, who concluded that superior intelligence and abilities were inherited. He coined the term “eugenics,” meaning “well born.” Galton theorized that humanity could be improved by encouraging the fittest members of society to have more children. If this sounds a bit like Nazi thinking, you would be right. Trump’s father Fred also believed this to be true, and he taught his kids that they were better than any Black person. My source is the excellent book written by Mary L. Trump, Donald’s niece. You should read it.

Joe Biden is not a racist. He’s just an old man who has experienced the pain of personal loss throughout much of his life. As a political operative, he had an ability to move things forward by bringing both sides together on many issues. I doubt that many of the idiots currently in Congress can be moved off their hidden racist agendas, partisan political dogmas and sick use of power, but, hey, let’s give old Joe a try. What we have now is clearly not working.

Donald Trump is a limited human being, at best. He’s like the game show host who has been parroting the intro line and explanation of how “we play the game” rap which has grown tired, cold and perfunctory over the years. Donald’s endless, repetitive babble leads to the same conclusion; he really doesn’t know what the hell he is doing. He used the debate insult that Obama and Biden built the cages, but no one swings the retaliatory bat with “But, Mr. President, you put the kids in them.” Trump brags about his record on immigration and claims the kids who were separated from their mothers and fathers are being treated very well. REALLY?

Biden landed a good debate punch with this, “I have not taken a penny from any foreign source ever in my life. I have released 22 years of tax returns. You have not released a single year. What are you hiding?” Yes, good question, what is Trump hiding? Few voters care about Hunter Biden. He’s just another offspring, cashing in, like Trump’s kids who aren’t talented, smart or exceptional; they are just Trumps.

Even with new debate rules in place, the Donald interrupted and tried to throw old Joe Biden off the trail, but we aren’t voting for a debate winner. We need a political resolver and uniter. Can Biden unite us? Will Biden unite us? Probably not, but Trump had his damn chance and failed miserably. So much for the myth that we needed a “really good businessman” to run the government. If that was the goal, we should have elected Mitt Romney, who is a great and wealthy entrepreneur. Trump has never been a good businessperson, as the whole world will learn when his tax returns eventually become known.

BusinessInsider.com had this to say about the virus policies of our government, “Upwards of 130,000 coronavirus deaths were ‘avoidable’ if President Donald Trump and his administration had acted sooner and implemented widespread public health precautions, according to a new Columbia University report released on Wednesday (10-21-2020).” The Columbia research is probably correct. Trump cannot defend his conduct related to this pandemic.

Trump stated that the virus is not his fault, and he graciously informed us it’s also not Joe Biden’s fault. Trump blames China and cannot understand why they didn’t stop its spread. His statement about COVID-19 containment proves the Donald has no idea what he’s talking about. If China failed to keep it from “getting out” of their country, then the Trump administration did a morally indefensible, hideous, blatantly incompetent job of controlling its spread across this land. Biden kept reminding us how bad the crisis is, while Trump made fun of Joe in his basement. Comic criticism of Joe Biden’s self-quarantine and mask wearing plays to the hard core Trumpers who deny climate change and the danger of this deadly virus, but most people think Biden should wear a mask. He’s an old guy.

Few of us have ever attained a no-cut, four-year, $400,000 contract to run anything, let alone the United States. Now think about this. Some say Uncle Joe is too old, but let’s not forget Trump promised to hire “expert people” to surround and help him. Remember that line, “Only the best people!” Well, he hired all the wrong people. More than 80 folks have left his administration and, oh yeah, some of them are in jail. One almost put a gun into his mouth to get away from Trump.

The real difference between Trump and Biden is simple. Biden will truly hire the best people. We need Joe only to get us through the next four years, repair Trump’s damage and truly make America great again. Make no mistake, that is exactly what he will do. There’s no reason to debate it.

THE UNCOMFORTABLE TRUTH

Trump Should Have Worn a Mask!

This is not how events should have unfolded, but it’s too late now. Some spread misinformation and lies while others spread viruses and diseases. Now, we have learned that the President of the United States has tested positive for COVID-19, as has his wife, Melania, and top White House advisor Hope Hicks. The reckless, dangerous and foolish plan of holding large rallies with little mask wearing was a national travesty which has now led to Trump’s most personal, precarious failure in his life. There are those people who believe they are so powerful and above it all that they have no need to defend themselves. Virus is not an army, it’s a germ.

Heading to Hospital Last Year

The good news on this day is Donald John Trump is surrounded by some of the smartest virus experts in the world. Hopefully, he will listen to what they tell him to do. Knowledgeable experts have not been hyping or misleading the public; they have been warning us about exactly what could happen and what has happened. The President’s maligning, denying and lying must stop. He has been wrong on so many things so many times some might feel the current outcome is poetic justice, but for America it’s a terrible result of bad governance.

I know it’s speculation, but if the leader of the free world is ordered onto a ventilator, we might have to invoke the 25th Amendment. Its Section 4 is very clear: Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.

On April 3, 2020, during the early days of the coronavirus pandemic’s US presence, Trump said this, “So it’s voluntary. You don’t have to do it. They suggested for a period of time, but this is voluntary. I don’t think I’m going to be doing it. I just don’t want to be doing — I don’t know, somehow sitting in the Oval Office behind that beautiful resolute desk, the great resolute desk. I think wearing a face mask as I greet presidents, prime ministers, dictators, kings, queens — I don’t know, somehow I don’t see it for myself. I just, I just don’t.” Well, he was wrong.

Trump knew on Thursday that Hope Hicks tested positive for COVID-19, yet he foolishly and amorally pushed ahead with an indoor fundraiser at his Bedminster golf club in New Jersey. This President ignored best medical practices, putting himself and others at serious risk. This is a damn virus, not some form of “never Trumper” he can attack with wishes and words. Now the truth is seeping out that the President has not felt well all week. WTF? He’s the worst patient a doctor could have. While the doctors were telling us to wear masks, he was telling his loyal fans and family TO IGNORE THE EXPERTS. What a fucking jerk!

I hate to use the phrase, “I told you so.” No, let me take that back. I will say only that it hurts me inside to know that the events covered in today’s headlines did not have to happen. This President could have acted to save lives. Under proper leadership we could all have bonded as a nation, just like we did after 9-11. The worst reality is how ignorance was winning until COVID said, “I don’t care what you say, I am going to get you.”

Donald, it’s not a red state / blue state problem. It’s a global, human disaster. It’s not your fault this virus came to America, but if you would have been smarter and more proactive you would not be where you are right now. You have been a foolish man without a plan. Are you at all ready to admit that this virus is real, is not going away soon and that we all should be following the advice of our medical experts?  Are you?

I always protect my family and go out of my way to find truth. The current reality is we have an enormous problem, and we need a leader, not a patient. One could say this is the BIGGEST OCTOBER SURPRISE — ever. Of course, we all wish you the best, Mr. President, and we sincerely hope you win your battle against the “Chinese virus.”

TAX RETURNS & REVOLUTIONS

Trump’s Financial Dependencies

Until recently, the term “Tea Party” referred to the Boston Tea Party, a protest which took place in 1773. Colonists who objected to British taxation without representation “demonstrated” by taking British tea from docked ships and dumping it into Boston Harbor. The incident had a strange racist overtone because the lawless Bostonians dressed up as Native Americans, complete with face paintings. I’m not sure why the protestors would have wanted the British to think someone else did the deed, but those were strange times. The goal of “looting” and “destruction” was to make it clear to people in American and across the pond that our left-wing, radical patriots wanted change.

Did this rebellion work? Not exactly. In retribution, the British passed the Coercive Acts, also known as the Intolerable Acts. They closed Boston Harbor until those involved with the destruction paid for the dumped tea. They also tore up the Massachusetts Constitution and ended free elections of town officials. So, I guess they figured out they needed a revolution.

Donald Trump brags about not paying taxes because he, genius that he is, found all the loopholes. Instead of working to eliminate those loopholes, he believes it’s okay for rich people to cheat. How unpatriotic to not pay your fair share in this great enterprise known as the United States of America.

We all know that the Donald has no problem deceiving us. He used to say he was under an IRS audit and that is why America could not learn his financial records and monetary entanglements with multinational banks, investors and oligarchs. To whom does Donald Trump and the Trump organizations owe money? He must disclose his financial status.

There are extremely strict penalties for anyone leaking someone’s tax returns, and obviously that punishment stands as a reasonable deterrent. Mary L. Trump released some of Trump’s tax information. That material was part of the discovery process in her lawsuit with the family. Her late uncle, Robert Trump, did all he legally could to stop her from releasing the information, but it wasn’t enough.

The Republican party used to care about taxes and transparency. When they’re in office, however, they usually run up the national debt and give away more money than they take in, just like Donald Trump. It’s totally out of control now, and it might make some sense for the America people to know if this president’s wildly destructive tax changes, regulation purges and easing of environmental constraints aren’t evidence of the true weakness of Donald Trump. He doesn’t manage money very well.

Go back and see the path of red ink that led banks to assume all power of the purse in his companies. Congress has done a mediocre job of managing the economic fallout caused by the pandemic. They’ve put money in the hands of the big companies but have failed small businesses as well as the lower and middle classes. In Donald Trump’s America, many temporary layoffs will become permanent this week.

Sure, Walmart, Fed-Ex, UPS and Amazon are doing well, but there are some profound cracks in our economy. According to the Washington Post, “Yelp Inc., the online reviewer, has data showing more than 80,000 permanently shuttered businesses from March 1 to July 25. About 60,000 were local businesses, or firms with fewer than five locations.” How has this global pandemic affected the Trump Organization, a privately held company?  Let’s see.

Here’s a headline from the Canadian Broadcasting Company’s website, “Trump Hotel in Vancouver closes as company files for bankruptcy.” Most of the Trump properties are not owned by Trump. The boys sell their name and branding to other hotel and housing developers for a percentage of their profits. Over the last four years many of these properties are not doing well. Trump is an asshole and people don’t want to be associated with him.

Time magazine broke this story, “Companies associated with President Donald Trump and members of his administration were among recipients of small-business COVID loans, newly released data show.” Has the Trump family benefited from the Paycheck Protection Program? We need to see their financials AND Trump’s personal tax returns!

Corruption is a dastardly and dirty way to show love of your country. Trump loves only Trump, and that is where it’s at. He would rather lose the election than be forced to release his tax returns. Mark Cuban, a guy with a true business sense, believes that Trump refuses to release his tax returns because it would show, as Mark says, “He ain’t that rich.”

We all owe money. Some are still paying off their college loans. Many people carry a certain amount of debt on the little plastic helpers in our wallets. According to the most recent data from the Survey of Consumer Finances by the US Federal Reserve, Americans have an average credit card debt of $5,700. For some, their family debt lives in the $10,000+ range. It’s how many of us pay for things like dental care, home improvements and yes, even taxes.

If the Donald is deceiving the IRS, a department of the government he oversees, then how can we trust him with our money? In an op-ed piece in the New York Times, Tom Friedman wrote, “Biden should declare that he will take part in a debate only if Trump releases his tax returns for 2016 through 2018. Biden has already done so, and they are on his website.” Many political pundits and TV talking heads were quick to denounce the idea. They pointed out that Trump would make a big game of such a confrontation, not disclose his financials and skip the debate. Trump would say that Joe Biden was afraid to debate him and is weak and senile and blah, blah, blah.

The conman residing in the Oval Office will continue to stonewall any attempts at disclosing his money and debt. He’s a blind, little mole in a hole. He cannot bear to have transparency and sunlight show who he really is. The ill-fitting suits, the makeup, lies and deceptions show what a weak, fumbling coward he is. He knows he will be nailed as a failure should his financial material be released. The plain truth is, we don’t need to see his taxes to know he’s a fraud and fiasco. More than 180,000 of our brothers and sisters have died on his watch. Donald Trump is a loser.

TRUMP SHOUTING WHISPERS

What the hell is White Power?

Us Americans love a strong marketing hook, but clichés and slogans can’t beat a virus. Donald Trump’s ego has been pumped up by the pundits and talking heads on TV saying how well he hypes and teases what is coming next. To them, everything is a “reveal.” They mention his reality TV roots and his alleged instruction to his White House team to think of every day as another episode of a show. Well we hear that, but this ain’t no television show.

It wasn’t surprising to hear the screams when “our” President retweeted a video originating here in Florida at a retirement community known as The Villages. 123,000 people live there, the same number of COVID-19 dead American bodies. At the start of the global pandemic, TV stations took their cameras to this small city of retirees who were highly vocal about the virus. Echoing their hero, they said it was a “hoax.” The University of Florida did a research project and went into the community to administer free coronavirus tests. We didn’t hear the results of either, but The Villages population is obviously hyper conservative and pro-Trump. The video was a stupid golf cart parade celebrating Trump’s birthday (June 14) and all the vehicles were decked out with Trump signs. One of the locals can be seen pumping his fist while chanting “White Power! White Power!”

After Trump’s retweet hit the internet, liberals and the cable news networks, well, all but one, highly criticized Donald Trump’s repost of the video. Tim Scott, the only African American member of the Senate was quick to decry the action of the President, but Trump took his good old time taking it down. Here are two important questions. 1. How did that video get past the Twitter censors? 2. Why is the President retweeting things that aren’t vetted? He said he never heard the yelled words “White Power!” in the video. Really? So, he’s fucking deaf?

Twitter, like all the other social media platforms, is utterly inconsistent in the way they handle matters of hate, truth, and violence. Twitter banned me for life, claiming I “interrupted conversations.” Excuse my ADD, but why wasn’t a pro-Trump video, featuring a shouted, racially insensitive slogan removed from Twitter? Do they adjust their censorship policy based on the person posting? I use the word “censorship” because that is precisely what it is. Several stories have been written by credible writers saying that Facebook and Twitter executives met with Trump face-to-face and then adjusted their policies to suit him. We have always known these platforms are money whores, but now they seem like political whores as well. Can I say that? Well, I just did.

The Village People

Let me return now to the stupid things people say. There are two hallmarks of our Trumpean dystopia. One is the automatic acceptance by some of the blatant lies continuously blasted from that unnaturally small-sized presidential pie-hole. The other is the incredible amount of meaningless or hijacked words in the “newspeak dictionary.” I’m hearing the term “unprecedented” so much that I am beginning to wonder if something can be precedented. Then there’s the distraction of claims about Obama doing this or that. What a mindless trick! Most of what the far right says about what happened during Obama’s eight-year term are blatant lies.

Mike Pence stood in front of the press and said the White House refusal to demand or decree that everyone must wear a mask has something to do with the First Amendment. I’m calling BULLSHIT. I can’t smoke a cigarette in some public places due to laws concerning public health. Tell me how these words in any way relate to public health, “…the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances,” Mike Pence and other lunatics like him in this administration don’t know how important the word, “peaceably” is to us.

So, WHAT THE HELL IS WHITE POWER? If you are just lightly aware of American history, you know that for hundreds of years citizens could not vote unless they were white, male and a landowner. White men have long enjoyed the unconditional and unchallenged right to rule. When an old man chants “white power” while riding his $4,000 golf cart, and a sitting president blasts the video of that to more than 80 million people, something is grossly wrong. One might defend this racist stupidity as tongue-in-cheek, but are we totally unaware of the uprising against police brutality and unnecessary death following the violent acts against people of color by law enforcement? Do we need to be reminded that The Villages love Trump, while 125,000 people are dead because of a virus in our country?

This is the big story people!

News broke over the weekend that the Russian government was allegedly paying the Taliban to kill US troops. Was that a clue that maybe someone wanted us to talk about WHITE POWER? If Trump knew about this and didn’t confront his buddy Putin, or take action to protect our soldiers in Afghanistan, he would be guilty of treason, the crime of betraying one’s country, especially by attempting to kill the sovereign or overthrow the government. If the president knew this as fact and did nothing, he put our men and women in danger. Some say as many as twenty soldiers were killed since this report was ignored by Trump.

Orange Boy will probably say he never saw the report or that intelligence couldn’t confirm it. Okay, but the deeper question is, WHO WILL YOU FIRE FOR NOT RAISING THIS MORE FORCEFULLY? It’s time to get serious, folks. We need a Congressional hearing ASAP. Maybe the hearing could take place in the whitest chamber, the Senate. Let’s put the power of all those old white guys to use for a constructive purpose.

Consider these words, “Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000.” If Trump did not act on this intelligence, he was giving “aid and comfort” to not only the Taliban, but to Russia as well. Why do all of Trump’s roads lead to Russia?

TRUMP’S MOB BOSSING

The Difference Between “Go” and “Send”

Watching TV news networks drives me crazy. It doesn’t matter which one, they all hyper-position and bias-bend their stories to fit whichever political vein they have decided to hit. Once they make the connection, they pump bile and venom into the blood supply of their victims, ah, I mean, audience. It’s a respect of journalism that drives my opinions.

I have been at major music events where the adoring fans became a roaring mob. They sometimes become so vocal and loud when singing along with the music that they drown out the vocalist. Even though the audience might have the wrong words, the artist will sometimes just pause and listen to the crowd. That is what Donald Trump did at the East Carolina University rally the other night as the audience chanted “Send Her Back!”

This wasn’t an isolated, impromptu mantra. It was based on a tweet that Trump posted last Sunday morning, you know, the day people go to church, “So interesting to see ‘Progressive’ Democrat Congresswomen, who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe, the worst, most corrupt and inept anywhere in the world (if they even have a functioning government at all), now loudly and viciously telling the people of the United States, the greatest and most powerful Nation on earth, how our government is to be run. Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came. Then come back and show us how it is done. These places need your help badly, you can’t leave fast enough. I’m sure that Nancy Pelosi would be very happy to quickly work out free travel arrangements!”

Trump now feigns surprise that his mob got “out of control” and started to chant “Send Her Back!’ at the rally. Let’s not forget that Trump promoted the phrase, “Lock Her Up!” at his campaign rallies when running for President against Hillary Clinton. It’s senseless for people to shout that phrase at rallies. Deportation and incarceration are both rotten. I even heard one try to downplay the “send her back” chant by declaring that Hillary Clinton is not locked up, meaning we can ignore the mob but what about the mob leader?

The difference between “Go back” and “Send her back” is significant. As chief executive, the President of the United States has the power to deport anyone. By chanting the word “send,” was the rally crowd asking Trump for action? The constant, silly attempt to sound unbiased by the talking heads on TV gets me crazy. Their duty is to expose the lies of those in power. When they ask a member of Congress if they accept Trump’s claim that he didn’t like the chant, they are giving the Donald way too much credit. Seriously, if a reporter cannot see through that kind of smoke screen and call it out, maybe it’s time for a new job.

Once again, Trump attempted to soften his line-crossing with the most used tool in his kit, the outright lie. He’s lying when he says he didn’t like the chant. If you want to be as pedantic as the press and show that he waited 13 seconds before going on with his speech, you can live there. However, I choose to call it as I see it. The crowd was trying to please Daddy with the chant, and Daddy liked it.

Trump is a racist and uses tropes to gin up the deep racism within his fan base. There is a difference between systemic racism and subconscious racism. The former is what kept people of color out of Trump Organization housing in New York. The latter is seen in people who say they never trusted Obama but cannot articulate the reasons why. It happens every day and the closet racists have found a superhero in Trump. They are out in force now.

Trump can claim he can’t control the crowds who wait for hours in the hot sun to get good seats at his rallies. He can say that it’s a free country and his followers speak their minds because of their love for the First Amendment. In fact, the mob is created in Trump’s image. Look at this cartoon and see the things Trump has said at his rallies. Most notable, “I’d like to punch him in the face,” “Knock the crap out him, would you,” “I promise you, I will pay your legal fees” and of course, “The audience hit back. That’s what we need more of.”  Those are real statements from our President, not fake news bites.

I suspect that Trump’s Sunday tweets are in violation of Federal Labor Laws. Harassment is a form of employment discrimination that violates Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967, (ADEA), and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, (ADA). Donald Trump is actually a “coworker” of the four Congressional members he is attacking in public view. They all work for the government. In the law, the harasser can be the victim’s supervisor, a supervisor in another area, an agent of the employer, a coworker, or a non-employee. The victim does not have to be the person harassed but can be anyone affected by the offensive conduct. Unlawful harassment may occur without economic injury to, or discharge of, the victim. So, why don’t those offended file a complaint? Well, the rules of the House of Representatives prevent them from doing so. What kind of country is this?

Trump is vainly trying to soften the blow by saying it was just a chant and that he didn’t like it, but that is total bullshit! His rabid crowd of fans were parroting his worst motivations. The difference between “go back” and “send her back” may not be important to you, but to those who have had to judge racial harassment and hate crime cases understand the deep pain and suffering of the victims. If any of Trump’s targets become victims of violence, he will have blood on his hands.

This isn’t going to end until Donald Trump is out of the White House and eradicated from our Democracy. His unnatural, inhuman proclivity is racism. He plays the bully due to his lack of confidence and insecurity. He attacks and wants to fight anyone who says he’s a bad boy. Maybe he needs to be put into time-out, for the rest of his life.

Impact of Trump on America

The book that tells it like it is…

Gold, God, Guns & Goofballs shows how we’ve wasted our GOLD on bad wars and corruption. While GOD is there for many people as a spiritual enrichment and the provider of glowing feelings, the truth is just praying and believing will not change our major arc. We don’t determine who gets a GUN. We aren’t sure if we have paramilitary groups ready to storm the White House or a White Castle. There is no control of weapons. The GOOFBALLS with the power constantly try to manipulate us into spending more money on bombs and tanks and wars. When all of our institutions are infected with neglect and fall in disrepair, we will only have ourselves to blame. MUELLER KNOWS TRUMP

Are US Presidents Above the Law?

Special Counsel Robert Mueller has finally spoken. His words were exact and well-chosen. He specifically said that his team could not indict a sitting president, period. He also said they would have exonerated him if they could have. They didn’t.

Congress is the only court of law in which a president can be charged. Specifically, the remedy for presidential misconduct is impeachment. It starts in the House of Representatives and courses through a trial in the Senate in which the Chief Justice presides and the members of the Senate are the jury. A two-thirds vote, which is 67 members is necessary to convict and remove a President from office.

We don’t know the procedure after a conviction because impeachment of a US President has never gone that far. One would hope that the person convicted would go honorably, as Richard Nixon did when he was on the precipice of impeachment. That being said, we don’t know what Donald Trump would do. Some say the Congressional Sergeant at Arms would physically remove the president from government property, but that is just an opinion.

Robert Mueller may go down as the most potent silent person in government. He states that he has spoken in the more than 400 pages of his report. If you read the report, you will see that Donald Trump is a paranoid power-hungry crook. Robert Mueller told us what Trump did and urges you to read his work and not bother him with politics.

What we learned today is a special prosecutor and special counsel can’t arrest a president. Being an employee of the Justice Department, a prosecutor or special counsel must follow the guidelines and rules of that department, which were designed to keep an out-of-control prosecutor from unnecessarily hindering the Executive Branch.

Throughout Donald Trump’s life he has thumbed his nose at the law. He’s not a person you would trust in business because he would likely do something illegal and get you entangled in a lawsuit that you will ultimately pay for. It’s a Trump common practice which is both legendary and extremely troubling. It speaks to a real lack of character.

The American taxpayer shelled out more than $25 million to find out that their president has, at least, obstructed justice and weakened our election security. Mueller was very clear, Russian operatives attempted to change our election results. He said that the Russian effort favored a certain candidate (TRUMP) and expressed the truth that if he could have cleared Donald Trump, he would have. This is not a gordian knot but rather clear and specific legal code for “he’s guilty,” and Congress now has the power to do something righteous for the country.

Were Robert Mueller given a truth serum, he would tell you exactly what he thinks of Donald Trump and his minions. I’m sure he probably has a low regard for the president and those around him in the administration, as well as for the Congressmen and women who refuse to focus on the real danger of this president. Trump doesn’t take foreign interference in our elections seriously. Mueller knows that, despite his warm and fuzzy feeling for Attorney General William Barr, that man’s independence is in question. Barr’s statements and actions are driven by his rank and President Trump’s authority over everything he says and does. Mueller knows that Barr is not an independent agent of justice.

The events of this corrupt presidency should be a positive motivation for legislation on several important fronts. First, we need to mandate and codify transparency in the Executive Branch. After fifty-years of the tradition of presidential candidates and presidents releasing their income tax returns, this practice should become part of US law. The refusal of the Treasury Department to release Trump’s tax returns to the Ways and Means Committee in the House means we need a stronger law requiring every major candidate and office holder to make public their tax returns.

Congress should pass a law that commands all political campaigns to disclose to the FBI any communication with a foreign person or government that offers information or “dirt” on another US candidate. Withholding such information should be against the law.

Perhaps the biggest foible in all of this is the fact that a president cannot be charged with a crime while he or she is in office. The legal logic makes sense on the surface, but it weakens the notion that no person is above the law. If a president murdered someone and there was clear proof that he did so, how can this not be a punishable crime in the normal judicial process? If Congress is not the Judicial Branch, can they truly be above the partisan swamp? Can they give a true verdict when they are willing to look the other way for their personal gains and preservation of their elected positions?

We have a lot of work to do and most of it has been caused by a President who cares little for the “normal order” of government, law or fair play. Whether he likes it or not, Donald Trump will soon inherit his own classification of concepts such as “Tea Pot Dome,” “Watergate” and “I did not have sexual relations with that woman.”

Trump is an inept political operative with too much money to understand the pain of the middle class. He’s above the law in his own mind and Robert Mueller knows it. Trump keeps saying that “he’s the most transparent president in history,” making us wonder why he didn’t sit for an interview with Robert Mueller. Maybe Trump’s just afraid of him. Why doesn’t Trump release his tax returns? Maybe he’s afraid of what we would learn.

Trump must be impeached, or he will think he can do anything. Without impeachment, this country has just elevated a president to King. And the king has no pants.

TRUMP IS CRAZY

America Can Do Better Than This

I woke up this morning with a question thumping through my mind, “Why do Americans have to suffer because of Donald Trump?” For the life of me, I don’t understand why any clear-thinking person can’t see through this bloated baffoon.

First, we do have one of the best economies since right after World War II. Why can’t the boy in power just leave that alone? Why aggravate the situation with emotional trade wars, threating tweets and creating barriers between the US and our allies? If we are doing so well, why would any American have to go without a paycheck? Trump’s theories are ill-conceived and foolish, and they make people go without pay and cause children to die in our custody.

Donald Trump suggests we are going to have to suffer for the short term to fix what he claims has been broken for years, really? For the most part, the world has avoided massive wars during the past 45 years and the economies of most developed countries have been relatively stable. Why screw with that? I don’t believe in Donald Trump. He’s not a king or a deity, but he certainly is a shitty economist.

You can line-up the top economists and Neo-cons in Congress and ask them to explain things, but you will not get a clear answer about what is so wrong with a global economy. We’ve already paid for a better life with cheap clothes and cars. BTW, the air is cleaner in Pittsburgh and a hard drive company now sits where a steel mill used to be. Trump didn’t always buy American steel to build some of his unimaginative buildings, and you can argue that hurt this country. But now that he’s in charge he wants to fix it all. Good luck, fat ass; isolationism works only when you have no friends.

The recent government shutdown, the third in a year, proves that Donald J. Trump is a horrendous executive with zero talent for pre-planning and advanced thinking. We could avoid all this if Trump wasn’t such a stupid politician. Smart politicians get what they want by goals that inflict the least amount of pain on the people they expect to re-elect them.

Trump stood in the rose garden of the White House yesterday and inferred that people who aren’t getting paychecks care more about his wall than the pain they will feel without food on the table. What an out-of-touch human being. What a dolt Donald is.

The Democrats, now swelling with power in the House of Representatives, feel that they must stop Trump. Are their actions purely partisan or are they really executing a brilliant tactic to demonstrate that our leader is only a feckless loser wearing no pants?

What most people don’t understand is that building a wall of the magnitude Trump wants would take decades with a cost close to $200-300 billion. In my hometown, it took six months to repave a one-mile strip of road. At that rate, straight math suggests it would take more than 300 years to build a 2,000-mile border wall.

Donald Trump knows that construction projects take time. Building the Trump Tower in New York took two years, and two people died in the process.

The real problem here folks, as the Donald likes to call you, is that we have a thug-businessman in the White House, and that doesn’t seem to be working in DC. As much as I hate Newt Gingrich, at least he understands that Washington works on its own rules and on its own clock. Trump knows nothing; I’m not at all sure about what skills he has. He certainly doesn’t know how to please all the people who want him to be a real leader, including 60% of American citizens and our allies all over the world.

Trump’s government shutdown over the wall is symbolic of his whole presidency. He cares only about a win for Trump, regardless of the cost to American workers and their families. He casts a shadow over the prospect of meaningful negotiation by saying the government could be shut down for months, maybe years. What a fucking baby. And then he says he could declare a national emergency and build the wall as Commander-in-Chief. Now you know why Mattis quit, General Kelly is gone, and McMaster is missing in action. Yet our lunatic President claims that he knows how America works. Where are the new Generals to step up keep this jagoff under control? Well I call BS. It’s time to impeach the motherfucker. To be clear, both Karen McDougal and Stormy Daniels are mothers.

ETHICS PROBES AND PRESIDENTS

Trump’s #MeToo Moments

With all the investigative reporting being done by the “mainstream” media, I can’t help but wonder if transparency applies to Donald J. Trump. While Trump seems to do more attacking than explaining or addressing, he lacks the credibility needed to pass judgement on anyone else. Can you really have ethics probes in the Senate without including Donald Trump?

After the Access Hollywood tape was released, Trump’s main propagandist, Steve Bannon, cooked up a response to the dozen women who came forward and accused Trump of inappropriately touching them. The Trump camp’s defensive idea was holding a press conference with women who claimed they were abused, harassed and even “raped” by Bill Clinton. This was intended to take the eyes and ears off Trump’s transgressions right before a debate with then candidate Hillary Clinton, and it worked. They morphed the accusing women, including Hillary, into enemies.

They skillfully rolled out the term “locker-room” talk, with the future first lady adding the cute phrase, “boy-talk.” They dismissed the cadre of women saying that Trump was at least a womanizer and, most likely, a sexual harasser and groper. You know, a dirty old man?

This is not a new concept in private, corporate or public life. Some men and women use their power to take physical and sexual advantages of those who work for them. This obstructs transparency on an issue that should be out in the open. Many corporations employ intimidation and confidentiality agreements to keep problems in the office and off the front page. A no disclosure agreement usually includes a payment of money in exchange for silence. Corporate America, which Trump was part of a year ago, has the standard operating procedure to pay off victims, or openly dismiss them with the warning that court costs will break them.

With Alabama’s Senate Candidate Judge Roy Moore now being accused by nine women of inappropriate activities with minors or teenagers, the President is in a pickle jar he thought was behind him. After all, the fury from the females he touched had been put to bed. Trump could have simply stood his ground by saying that the people of Alabama should decide the case against Roy Moore with their ballots, but he made a critical mistake.

Al Franken, who spent most of his life writing comedy and saying the most outrageous things on SNL, ran for office, got elected and now serves as the Junior Senator from Minnesota. What may have seemed a fun road trip with the USO tour back in 2006, exposed in graphic detail his wrongdoing. His accuser released an embarrassing photo of Franken’s grope in progress, which put him in a precarious position.

Like a good soldier, Franken fell on his sword, admitted his mistake, apologized and now sees the gravity of his errors. As much as insiders in show business will openly claim that Franken could at times be very difficult to work with professionally, that is not what he has admitted to this time.

Once patterns are established, one can begin to see that it wasn’t just some drunken misbehaving or a belief that one woman gave “all the right signs.” There’s a term in our society, “Getting to second base.” This phrase describes a man’s conquest of a woman based on the baseball lure that once you get to second base it’s much easier to score. Some men in power believe that they can go right to third base without much conversation, and that is always a bad assumption.

Now, we find that President Trump is back in that pickle jar because he didn’t have the discipline to NOT Tweet something about Franken, while being so presidential in how he is handling the Roy Moore affair.

When Trump decided to tweet this gem out, “The Al Frankenstien picture is really bad, speaks a thousand words. Where do his hands go in pictures 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6 while she sleeps? …..” he lost his interested bystander status.  I’m not sure why the President’s spellchecker didn’t fix his Frankenstein and misuse of ellipses. He had 280 characters to ramble on about Franken, but maybe he forgot about the format change on Twitter.

Once Trump attacked Franken, he opened the media flood gates, and they correctly pointed out his hypocrisies. This gave them an opening to draw comparisons to his misdeeds with Franken’s and Moore’s.

The White House said the difference between citizen Trump’s accusers and Franken is that Franken admitted what he did. This could be a great method to use in a court of law. All you have to do is say you didn’t do it and everything goes away. Lying is not a problem for our great Orange Leader, but the implication of the opposite is at work here.

By saying that Roy Moore has legal grounding because he denies the allegations, Trump has now equated himself to Moore. Trump and Moore are attempting to act like judges. Many women are advancing the same charges and both men believe that their word is more powerful than their accusers’ accounts. This power over women and young girls is the exact reason they thought they could get away with it. The words, “who’s going to believe you” paints a deadly assumption no man should every make.

Trump cannot denounce Roy Moore. Trump can’t say vote for him. Trump doesn’t want to fragment his base in Alabama. In short, Trump still believes that Bannon is smarter than he is. One wrong move and Trump could not only lose the Republican majority in the Senate, but also lose Alabama votes in 2020.

While Trump took potshots this weekend on Twitter at Jeff Flake, Hillary Clinton, the NFL players and LaVar Ball, the father of the famous basketball players, he once again revealed his lack of common sense, fundamental truths and principles.

His line, “I should have left them in jail!” caught my attention. When the President of the United States makes an effort to get the release of any US citizen held abroad, he should get the praise without making the return a big deal. The way Trump acted on this issue, practically begging for the “Thank you” from the players even before they had their press conference, was unseemly. Once he got the “Thank you” he should have moved on. The crazy father, LaVar Ball, was messing with Trump, as he does with everyone. Mr. Ball’s comments got the President to turn against all three players. Wow! What a sad little boy on the playground with no friends. Is Trump really prepared for the possibility of being played?

When the time comes, and President Pence is pardoning Donald Trump, we can all say, “We should have left him in jail!” We never seem to learn. We let them get away with things and then we eliminate their punishment. Trump has certainly stunted our growth and buried our values.
