WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?

Trump is the problem

I hate elections and campaigns. For one thing, it’s all the posters on every corner which, under law, cannot be taken down until after the election. Then there’s the ton of TV spots telling us not to trust the other guy. Because of a previous Supreme Court ruling, we don’t even know who is paying for some of these ads, but we do know they are filled with venom, lies and misinformation. Most people in America just shake their heads and grin and bear these lies rather than doing something about them.

Things will never get better while Donald Trump is the President of the United States. If I was giving Trump advice, the first thing I would tell him to do is shut up. He talks too much and he comments too early in just about every situation. He’s not only the worst President, he is also the worst client for any attorney. Maybe that is why his legal team is in constant flux.

The murder of a Washington Post columnist in Istanbul is proof that the alliances Trump has made and hyped are not in the interest of the United States. Clearly, the Crown Prince ordered the assassination of the royal family critic and our Great Orange leader showed his complete lack of understanding by his flawed messaging during this tragedy. In short, his big mouth blew it.

The Donald gets played by dictators and tyrants, while distrusting allies and proven honest leaders of countries needed to maintain the world order. Trump, like a hormone fueled teenager acting out, is more interested in disrupting things rather than getting things done.

The stock market is wildly bouncing day to day. Experts present theories, but deep down inside they know it’s all about the uncertainty of Trump’s actions. No one can predict the short term, intermediate or long-term effects of his tariffs on steel and aluminum. The global economies are so entwined that forensic investigators are needed to determine the origin of the various parts of each car a nation produces. Donald Trump has disrupted manufacturing in America, and not in a good way.

Our president yells at his rallies that he is going to push a 10% tax cut through Congress before the midterm election, when Congress isn’t even in session. Not to rain on the president’s lies, but we cannot keep cutting taxes and get things done in America. TheBalance.com web site says the national debt has seriously risen. “Trump plans to add $4.775 trillion, a 29-percent increase from the $20.245 trillion debt at the end of Obama’s last budget for FY 2017.” During his campaign, Trump pledged to eliminate the national debt in eight years. That was just another lie he pumped out to get elected. In reality, he has so far added almost $5 trillion to the national debt. What a liar!

Donald Trump believes that truth, facts and actual government stats don’t matter, and that’s what aggravates me the most. If I was in the House of Representatives, my most important criteria for Trump’s impeachment would be his constant barrage of lies. How are we ever going to eliminate the political scum of politics and government without making politicians pay for their lies?

Could it be that Trump’s claim of journalists being the enemy of the people caused Jamal Khashoggi’s death at the hands of the Saudis? Did the tax cuts that Trump gave to large corporations and the wealthy give them a green light to buy back stock without properly rewarding their workers? The stock market wobbles, and Trump sends out Larry Kudlow to say the reason is a fear that Congress would be returned to the Democrats. Really?

To create fear and uncertainly, Trump claims the caravan coming from the Honduras through Mexico is a Democratic plot. This man talks about mobs, while creating a gang mentality in his followers. All the bad that happens cannot be blamed on Obama or the Democrats. Isn’t Trump the President?

Will this man ever understand that history will chronicle the turmoil he promoted as president instead of the wonderful things he initiated during his time in office? When wages don’t increase, that’s on him. When journalists are harassed or killed, that’s on him. When the cost of goods skyrockets, that’s on him.

Trump wants only credit and points to a scapegoat when anything goes bad. This President blamed Puerto Rico’s financial problems and weak infrastructure for the hardships and deaths suffered on the island during a catastrophic storm. What kind of person does that? And now he wants to say that Transgender people don’t know what they feel. How does he know what they feel?

Trump is the problem. As things get worse, we must hold him accountable for his bad decisions, lack of leadership and harsh language that hurts our allies and helps those who want a less powerful United States. Under some definitions, our president is a traitor. And traitors must be prosecuted.

ROGUE KILLERS

Transactional Trump Doctrine

Every human life is important. Every U.S. President has understood the principles of never putting a price on human life and not negotiating with terrorists or governments for the release of hostages. In the past, we haven’t paid ransoms to kidnappers.

Even though we have an on again, off again relationship with the death penalty here in America, we do keep a watchful eye on human rights violations around the world. That makes what happened in Turkey at the Saudi Arabian consulate even more outrageous. Sixty-year old journalist and legal U.S. resident, Jamal Khashoggi, entered the Saudi consulate to finalize his marriage documents and has not seen since. To be clear, a consulate or embassy is the responsibility of the country that owns it, NOT the responsibility of the country on whose soil it stands. The Saudi government is accountable for happenings at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, Turkey.

In business, a profit and loss analysis is deployed in every decision. With Khashoggi, President Trump has been pushed into a corner. According to the Turkish government, the journalist was killed inside the consulate and then dismembered and taken out for disposal. The Turks claim they have audio and video proof. If this is true, America would have to redefine its relationship with Saudi Arabia. What will President Trump do?

When Trump was first asked about this situation, he flinched and said that this would not stop sales of arms to the Saudis because it would hurt jobs here in the U.S. Really? During a press conference he claimed, “We would be punishing ourselves by canceling arms sales to Saudi Arabia. The U.S. was competing against China and Russia for the $110 billion deal with the country”. So, I guess we are the country that will take the money and run. We are the country that says a journalist’s life is not worth $110 billion dollars. You see, it’s all about money. HUMAN RIGHTS is just something you talk about to seem moral.

As Trump started to waffle on this a bit, he introduced the cover story that was fed to him by that Saudi King that it might have been “rogue killers” who killed Khashoggi. Marco Rubio stood tall and said retaliation might include NOT selling arms to the Saudis. Both the Saudis and Trump should be worried. The Turks claim that have a tape.

How silly the Donald and Jared Kushner look now for making such a big deal about their relationship with the new ruthless Saudi Prince Mohammad bin Salman (MBS). This is the guy who, right after talking to Jared on the phone, rounded up all his relatives he disliked and put them under house arrest at the Ritz Carlton Hotel. Trump even tweeted that he had full confidence in the new Saudi Prince. The President of the United States in an enabler of dictators and thugs.

While Saudi Arabia wages a complex war in Yemen, smart diplomatic minds know this war has nothing to do with Yemen interests. It’s is a proxy battle between the Saudis and Iran. Russia backs Iran, the U.S. backs the Saudis. And just like a guy who goes down to his basement to play with his model trains, the Crown Prince works the war in his backyard. Yemen is a pastime for a bored Prince playing army and killing people.

The Saudis want our guns and bombs, so they can continue this war without world conflicts getting in the way of the one million barrels of oil they pump each day. Now, if they have killed the Washington Post reporter Jamal Khashoggi, they will reveal the intolerance they have employed for years as a Wahhabi Islamic state. They put people to death everyday for any breach of protocol or independence. Maybe they believed that Trump would do nothing. After all, in the Donald’s words, “Journalists are the enemy of the people.”

We know that Donald Trump is a misinformed, narcissistic, pathological liar. We also know that all he really wants is to be loved. It’s a flaw quickly overshadowed by a constant desire to fight back for even the slightest disparaging remark. He seems to think that defensiveness makes him a real man. He cannot stand to be wrong and he punches back at every challenge, even if he might be proven wrong. He typically forgets words he spoke just a few minutes ago, so he might not even know that he’s lying.

In this conundrum, money might trump human rights. Without an action by the Congress, Trump will do the deal with the Saudis and make America just another political whore in the world. What happens when someone like Putin kills critics and journalists? Oh, that’s right, he already has. What happens when a U.S. citizen and journalist is killed on foreign soil? What will the great Orange Leader do then? In some ways, Trump is very transparent. He will do nothing that hurts his base.

Our President is always looking for a scapegoat to accuse of some terrible thing. He can say black is white, blue is red, and right is wrong. While many Americans are embarrassed by this fake man in makeup, others believe Trump is a savior.

Sadly, the death of a journalist might just be racked up as the cost of doing business; a small price to pay to keep American workers producing more death and destruction around the world. The transactional Trump Doctrine is bad for America. He’s made a deal with the devil and murderers in the Middle East. What happened to America’s moral leadership in the world. Trump has killed it.

ONE MUST ASK THE QUESTION

Why Does the Donald Hate the Maverick?

When most people die, they are done talking. But when special people die, their legacy, laughter and legitimacy live on forever. John S McCain III, the Senator from Arizona, Navy war hero and statesmen is still talking and winning the argument, even after death. The McCain premise is simple. Be a politician and work as hard as possible to be honest. The gift of his six decades of service to his country sure makes a bone-spur seem silly.

No love is lost between John McCain and President Donald J. Trump. There is nothing but animosity, disdain and disrespect between them. McCain seems to have been the embodiment of all that Trump dislikes about America, and Trump, the demonic proof of all that is wrong with Washington and bad people in general.

The lack of respect that our president has shown John McCain earned him an outright decree from true patriot McCain himself, that the President not be part of his funeral services. You see, Trump cannot control a dead man’s wishes.

On Sunday (8-26-2018), the flag above the White House flew at half-staff to honor our true American treasure. However, on Monday morning the flag was back up full staff. President Trump hasn’t issued a presidential proclamation with an order to lower the flags. In tradition and law, the flag can be lowered in honor by presidential proclamation, as was done over five days for Senator Teddy Kennedy. The lack of comment or action from the President about John McCain demonstrates our Great Orange Leader’s pettiness and lack of care for American values. He might as well just spit in the face of every serving member of the Armed Forces.

Perhaps Trump is wishing that all the TV channels will stop talking about John McCain and get back to covering him. One newspaper commented that the outpouring was closer to what a former president would receive than a five-term Senator. Trump’s departure from this earth will not net this kind of homage. McCain’s back story shows a lot of what Trump isn’t, and that obviously bothers our frail, little-baby president.

Trump doesn’t respect truth and honesty. Decency is viewed by the Donald as a weakness that must be cured. Like a poison that flows through his veins, the lack of apologizing for misspeaking or a bad decision is an embarrassing weakness, not a virtue. His accuracy must be rubbed out as soon as possible.

When candidate Trump said that John McCain wasn’t a war hero because he was captured, that was a joke that got noticed. Once made, Donald Trump could not pull that statement back into his tiny, damaged brain. He thinks everything he says gets etched into stone as the truth. There lies the link between Trump and pre-historic Neanderthal man. He would rather disappoint decent people than admit he was trying to be funny or wrong.

When you ask the question why a sitting president would act like this, perhaps we should also look at the Justice Department policy that says a sitting president cannot be indicted. Maybe we need to update our laws and policies based on the president we have rather than the president we deserve. Why not indict Donald Trump?

Trump’s treatment of John McCain, in contrast to the way he treats the President of Russia, is eye-opening on so many levels. Trump is not critical of Putin because Putin is not critical of Trump. Trump honors any tyrant, dictator or murderer who says complimentary things about him more than someone who fought for his own country. That country, of course, is the U.S.A. Does that not make Trump a traitor?

This stubborn attitude and unwillingness to be a real man and at least say nice things about the dearly departed makes Trump no better than the drunk on the corner. He can only hope his organs can process all the vile and hate pouring out of his broken, spineless form. He’s not my president.

Let me summarize it this way. Donald J. Trump, the 45th President of the United States of America, is jealous of John McCain III. Perhaps the president, with all his endorsements and claim of some evangelical mandate, should read the Holy Bible to find out how to handle this one. I would recommend John 3:14, “But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth.”

I cannot deny the truth. Trump is a worthless, lousy piece of shit.

PEOPLE WHO LIVE IN GLASS HOUSES

Trump’s Enemies List Takes Shape

Consider the old saying, “People who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.”  It basically means that you shouldn’t be a hypocrite. You shouldn’t be accusing someone of something if you do it yourself. But in the case of Donald J. Trump, it takes on another meaning. It has to do with using media and what using media means in the modern world.

If you are being recorded, there could be embarrassments and off-color remarks, or even racist ramblings, that might come back to bite you. In fact, the Donald has been living in a glass house all his life. And Trump’s lack of understanding about his own history and that of all his minions is astounding. I am convinced that if they could hold that history in their little hands for even a microsecond, they wouldn’t know what to do with it.

Richard Nixon had an enemies list. Donald Trump has an enemies list. My only question is how do I get on it? I want to be a registered Trump hater. But seriously, when Sarah Huckabee Sanders read the list on national TV yesterday, my memory took me back. It happened to be the same day that I watched the brilliant new Spike Lee film BlacKkKlansman, in which the final scene contrasts the cross burnings of the KKK in the early 1970s with the Neo-Nazi tiki torches of Charlottesville, Virginia one year ago. For someone who lived through both those aspects of American life, Trump has become Nixon.

So, here is the list:  John O. Brennan, former director of the CIA, James R. Clapper Jr., former director of national intelligence, James B. Comey, former FBI director, Michael V. Hayden, former director of the National Security Agency and former CIA director, Andrew G. McCabe, former deputy FBI director, Bruce G. Ohr, former associate deputy attorney general, Lisa Page, former FBI attorney, Peter Strzok, former FBI agent, Susan E. Rice, former national security adviser and Sally Q. Yates, former deputy attorney general.

There is not much that the Great Orange Leader can do to these people, without causing more stones to be thrown at his house but coming out and telling the world your enemies list is really an idiotic thing to do.

They do understand that Nixon had to resign, right? They do know that the reason the press works day and night to discredit the current president and lunatic in power is because he’s dangerous to democracy, right? Actually, no, they don’t get it. Sarah Sanders might as well be Joseph Goebbels.

Trump has managed to mind-fuck some Congressional representatives and some middle Americans into believing that the press is the enemy of the people. We are at a breaking point. When the tape of Trump saying the N-word comes out, he will seem more like one of the flawed characters in BlacKkKlansman rather than a real person. He’s just doing a show for you America, and you may not like the ending. If Trump wins again, he will never leave office. He will simply slip one of his kids into the throne. This show needs to be canceled. The ratings are just okay.

With the State of Pennsylvania revealing the names of hundreds of priests who abused children at the hands of the Catholic Church, can we really trust anyone? Does that lying son-of-a-bitch in the White House deserve our faith? And for those who grant him permission to abuse his power and stain the presidency of our great country, you will be judged harshly when the final report comes in. Yes, you too, Christian evangelicals.

Abuse of power comes in little bits of wafer and wine, but then escalates to real damage. You cannot know the destruction until you see things destroyed. The people on Trump’s enemies list are exceptional and they will NOT be intimidated by a fake president. If Trump had his way, he would “lock them all up” to please his foaming mob, but the rest of us will not stand silent.

There are little cracks in that glass house. They aren’t quite visible to the common man who voted for what they thought was an uncommon president, but some know now that they made a terrible mistake. Others keep talking about the economy, which will end up going up and down for reasons far removed from Washington. Long before this is all over, we will see taxpayers bearing the brunt of Trump’s tariffs and trade wars.

As I peek into that glass house, I see a very disturbed person. Trump hates America. He’s happy kissing Macron in Paris, waving swords in Saudi Arabia and pressing the flesh with Putin, always meeting him more than halfway. Trump tends to put down everything in America he didn’t create. He disrespects a dying Senator and war hero and has no experience for real fighting and sacrifice. He doesn’t care about who we are as Americans.

I have only one piece of advice, screw the resistance. We don’t need to resist him, we need to stop him. We need to launch the biggest rock imaginable at that glass house. Trump doesn’t need to be exposed by Omarosa, he needs to be taken out by the power of the people. He’s wasting time tweeting and repeating, and his news cycle is done. Donald Trump is treading on America. It’s time to take our country back, patriots.

OPEN LETER TO LAURA INGRAHAM

This is the Rot Trump Wrought

There are two female broadcasters who are fomenters of the most wretched, vile kind. One is Ann Coulter and the other is Laura Ingraham. I put them in the same basket, but today, let’s talk about the Fox News host who is part of their opinion programming.

I don’t usually start off by stating someone’s pedigree, you know, like the first question you ask a dog owner, but I am curious about what breed of mutt Ingraham could be. Ms. Laura’s maternal grandparents were Polish immigrants and her father was of Irish and English ancestry. We don’t need the results of a 23andMe DNA test to know that her mouth is directly connected to the white side of her Anglo brain. If she was alive in the 1930s and living with her grandmother, she would have been a one-woman, flag-waving welcome wagon for Adolf and the boys as they marched into the homeland of Poland.

In August of 2018, she decided to say these things on the air, “In some parts of the country, it does seem like the America that we know and love doesn’t exist anymore.” Now I don’t know where she has been visiting, but as far as my love affair with America goes, I believe that America never stays the same and that “change” is a built-in benefit. But she continued, “Massive demographic changes have been foisted upon the American people. And they’re changes that none of us ever voted for, and most of us don’t like.”

Laura dear, demographic changes happen for a lot of reasons and they are not “foisted” on anyone. They occur for millions of reasons, 330 million reasons in this case. People do what they want in America and that is why we call it “the land of the free.”

People get to vote in America in many ways, by the babies they make and the U-Hauls they rent, for example. And when you say that “most of us don’t like” are you saying that you should have a right, or a vote on where I live or what I do or who I love? No one asked you what you thought. You just keep telling us. When you say “most of us” who the hell are you talking about? Did you let us vote? If it was up to me, you would ONLY be heard on a 1,000-watt daytime AM radio station in Fargo, N.D. with bad coffee and poor ventilation.

Why don’t you go back to the Libertarian hypnotists at the University of Virginia where you got your law degree and check on the true meaning of freedom? You know, like your First Amendment right to say stupid things on Cable TV and the basic human right to live where you want to do your pursuing of happiness. That doesn’t mean, however, that you have the power or right to infringe on common sense. America has always been changed by immigrants. Wake up and smell the cappuccino.

If Ingraham would have just left it there, she would have been fine, but she had to add, “From Virginia to California, we see stark examples of how radically in some ways the country has changed. Now, much of this is related to both illegal and in some cases legal immigration.”

Okay, I get it. Occasionally you have to take out that big dog whistle and blow it. And the sound that comes out screams, “I am a racist”. We don’t get to vote on the vitriol, hate and poison that comes out of your mouth, but we do have the right to call you out.

You may like the organic tomatoes that you pluck at Whole Paycheck, and you probably never take the time to think that a human hand had to pick that fruit, but you should know that a brown hand took that plump, red delicacy from the plant and put it in a box. And the hands of legal or illegal immigrants helped lift and push your food along the path to your plate. You eat it and you smile.

Laura Ingraham doesn’t give a shit about anyone outside of her little circle of whiteness and rightness and their self-appointed importance. She may think that America is just for Americans, but we are all Americans. Even the white racists with large megaphones are Americans, but when your sponsors pull some commercials you will get the message that not all us think like you.  And if you are asking why “love doesn’t exist anymore” perhaps you should look in the mirror and ask yourself why you hate so much.

Dear Laura, you are just a silly little lawyer. Your thin lips are drenched with xenophobic and racist spittle. Your clenched jaw holds that whistle so tightly that we can see your intense insensitivity. And that whistle plays only one note, the note of hate. And that spit is really annoying to everyone who holds the true meaning of America in their heart.

WHEN LAWYERS LIE

The Obstructing President’s Men

President Trump is wading into the deep end of the swamp he said he would drain. This weekend (8-5-2018), one of the President’s many personal attorneys went on TV right after Trump tweeted this, “Fake News reporting, a complete fabrication, that I am concerned about the meeting my wonderful son, Donald, had in Trump Tower. This was a meeting to get information on an opponent, totally legal and done all the time in politics – and it went nowhere. I did not know about it!”

Jay Sekulow, Trump’s personal attorney, was confronted on ABC TV on Sunday morning and about things he said previously regarding the infamous meeting in Trump Tower on June 9, 2016. Sekulow had said that Trump knew nothing of the meeting and that it was only about adoptions and the sanctions known as the Magnitsky Act. Now, Sekulow has been handed his own lie by his client’s early morning tweet.

On Fox News’ web site, the glaring headline read, “Trump attorney Jay Sekulow blames ‘bad information’ for Trump Tower statement mixup, says no sign Don Jr. under investigation.” It seems that his client lied to Jay. It also seems that his client has continuously lied to the American public, since the day he took office. Donald J. Trump is a LIAR!

One of the disconcerting things about America is our belief that there are different levels of truth and justice. Some say that attorneys are the public face of their clients and should try to sway public opinion. Others believe that you can try a case in the press and use TV reporters as shills in the quest to free a guilty man. As for the President of the United States, he can be removed from office only for “high crimes and misdemeanors.” The Senate would be the final arbiter of his fate.

It should be perfectly clear to anyone watching this charade that it began with little lies about no one in the campaign even being approached by Russians, to an array of lies that then lead to the admission that, yes, the Russians interfered in the election, yes, we may have had some meetings but nothing came of them, and, then, the audacity to pronounce that no one broke the law. Astoundingly, lamebrain Rudy Giuliani now says that colluding with the Russians isn’t against the law.

Well, it didn’t take Vox.com very long to cite this statute, 52 USC 30121, 36 USC 510 — the law governing foreign contributions to US campaigns. There are two key passages that apply here. This is the first: A foreign national shall not, directly or indirectly, make a contribution or a donation of money or other thing of value, or expressly or impliedly promise to make a contribution or a donation, in connection with any Federal, State, or local election.

Here’s the second important passage of the statute: “No person shall knowingly solicit, accept, or receive from a foreign national any contribution or donation prohibited by [this law].”

According to University of California Irvine election law expert Rick Hasen, the word “solicit,” has a very specific meaning in this context. To quote the relevant statute: “A solicitation is an oral or written communication that, construed as reasonably understood in the context in which it is made, contains a clear message asking, requesting, or recommending that another person make a contribution, donation, transfer of funds, or otherwise provide anything of value.”

We could get one thousand legal experts to weigh in here, but that isn’t the point. What’s relevant is in order to practice law these lawyers must take an oath and pass a test called the bar exam. In that legal tradition, and as officers of the court, they should tell the truth when defending their clients.  Although being bar licensed does trigger ethical obligations, they don’t actually come from the bar exam. It’s from the professional responsibility exam (that every lawyer has to take and pass within one year of taking the bar – either before or after) in each jurisdiction’s rules of professional conduct. There are remedies to address a lawyer who lies in court, but when in front of a camera and using creative messaging to attempt to make their client look innocent, they run the risk of ruining their own reputations.

The Great Orange Leader, who won the electoral college but not the popular vote, has created chaos where none was needed. Trump, the national narcissist, has disgraced his name, family and country by his actions and lies. He hardly understands the cure of Climate Change, the workings of the independent branches of government or people’s real needs. He will be stopped, if not by the Congress, surely by the awaking electorate, who know they have been played.

Sadly, all his lawyers know that the person they are representing cares not about their futures. Trump wishes only to protect himself from imaginary and real enemies. The fake fears of this man are covered up by the real jeopardy he now lives with. He lied. He knows, it just as we all know it.

RADICALS STEAL REPUBLICAN PARTY

Trump Camp Infiltrated by Anarchists

Something highly disturbing is happening with the Trump reign. Paranoia is striking deep within our president’s loyal base of lunatics. The delusions of the far right and fringe radical elements are creeping into the cult of Donald Trump. They believe that our President was ordained by a higher power and will lead America into neurotic nirvana. It’s all bullshit, but here goes.

It is a fact that Donald Trump was endorsed by Neo-Nazis, KKK, White Nationalists and many other fringe groups. When confronted about these endorsements, Trump either feigned not knowing the people or just ignored the question. When he was challenged about the anarchists and the white nationalists who caused death in Charlottesville, South Carolina, he said, “There were fine people on both sides.” He refuses to oppose or denounce the hate of these supporters. By his inaction and throttling institutions like the “free press” and the FBI, he has promoted conspiracy theories. The Donald has created a socio-political breeding ground for hate and fear.

That brings us to the signs at the Trump rallies in Florida and Pennsylvania this week. You might have noticed the Q and QAnon signs and T-shirts. This is the evidence that the Donald Trump cadre has been infiltrated by another fringe group of radicals who will absorb any remaining credibility of this president. These people are more than despictable, they are deeply disillusioned.

Imagine if the “deep state” and the “dark web” had a baby. You would get Q and QAnon, which was born on closed web forums and secret chat groups. The leader, or leaders, call themselves Q and promulgate what they call “bread crumbs.” These are short phrases and thoughts which are meant as clues that can be construed and developed into elaborate conspiracies. These people must be really bored.

QAnon says they have access to classified information involving the Trump administration and its opponents in the United States and have aligned themselves to a supposedly secret counter-coup against the alleged “deep state”. This is where we must remind ourselves that words matter. Anarchy is the absence of government and absolute freedom of the individual. This political ideal, according to Q, is a state of disorder due to absence or nonrecognition of authority. If we are out to fight this political force our militia won’t need guns. We will need a master hacker to defend ourselves and find out what actions this group will take.

The QAnon conspiracy theorists are supporters of President Donald Trump and promote themselves under the names, “The Storm” and “The Great Awakening.” People who run with these guys include, Roseanne Barr, Curt Schilling and James Wood. This group has already discredited themselves but continues to grow.

It started on October 28, 2017 with a person identifying as “Q Clearance Patriot” on the /pol/ board of 4chan. He created a thread entitled “Calm Before the Storm,” a sentence used by President Donald Trump when he had military families in the White House. There is no connection between what Trump said and the title of Q , but it enhanced the chatter online and the myth was elevated.

An app called “QDrops” about conspiracy theories was published and quickly became the most popular paid app in the “entertainment” section of Apple’s online store in 2018, as well as the tenth most popular paid app overall. Apple pulled the app after an inquiry from NBC News.

Edgar M. Welch, a 28-year-old father of two from Salisbury, N.C., read online that Comet Ping Pong, a pizza restaurant in northwest Washington, had kidnapped young children and made them sex slaves as part of a child-abuse ring led by Hillary Clinton. Welch came to the nation’s capital to help free the children and says he meant no harm.

On December 4, 2016, Welch walked into the pizza place armed with a knife, AR-15 assault weapon and a revolver, saying he wanted to investigate online conspiracy theories. Welch fired his gun multiple times into a locked storage closet. His actions led to his four-year jail term.

Trump’s on-knowing romance with this conspiracy group will produce more fringe actors and domestic terrorists, who will do more shooting. Is Trump free from any guilt? Would a group like QAnon, who push that Stephen Spielberg and Tom Hanks are pedophiles, stop at anything to create fear, anger and action? They seem to fixate on pedophilia. Strange.

I truly believe that Donald Trump has a psychological flaw, likely the result of an extremely enabled childhood that kept him from logical thought and critical thinking. The 45th President, doesn’t have the ability to discern a lie from the truth and is extremely susceptible to conspiracy theories and hoaxes. He has used these myths to motivate himself and justify attacking others. Our Great Orange Leader’s extreme narcissism and paranoia make him overreact and execute over-the-top actions even when clearer minds ask him to slow down and get the facts. He is, as many have said, mentally unfit to be president.

Just as Trump constantly uses and cites conspiracy theories, this QAnon group of anarchists in the end are going to hurt Donald Trump and the Republican party. This group will do “anything” to push their false claims, conspiracy theories and disruptive political agendas. They say that they want Donald Trump to succeed, but they will continue to act up, even if it means tearing down the government. They are not patriots. This may be why Trump is avoiding talking about them, for now.

If in the future someone gets killed or property gets destroyed, the administration will have to make it clear where they stand. If not, they will have blood on their hands. The fact that we have a free press and a First Amendment, we will always have people writing, reading and spreading the most outlandish lies and falsehoods.

The leaders of the Republican party probably are naïve and uninformed on the whole nature of the “dark web” and the secret little lies that are surfacing among Trump followers. They could have stopped Donald Trump before the primary election, but they didn’t want to lose. They have proved that winning is more important than honesty and truth. Would the G.O.P. really want to see the government be destroyed by these liars and lunatics?

Donald Trump is a dangerous person. He should not be President of the United States. We can only hope that Robert Mueller and his team of patriots will find the truth, tell us the truth and then, the Congress and Judiciary will do the right thing. No man is above the law and the longer that Trump is allowed to rule, the less safe America will be.

I DON’T REALLY CARE!

Melania’s Thoughtless Gaffe

When a human being wears a garment with a message, they are saying something. If someone is surprised when another notices what is written on their chest or back, they must be brain dead.

I lived in Washington, D.C. during the big celebration of the bicentennial. A famous T-shirt was sold locally that said, “I am not a tourist. I live here.” This was a comment flipping the bird to all those people who invaded the city that summer for the July 4th, 1976 festivities. A friend’s mother, who came from Montreal and still had a thick French-Canadian accent, always wanted to borrow it to make a statement to people she felt treated her like a foreigner in her new country, the U.S.A.

Our President, Donald Trump attempts to deflect blame backward, as if that vindicates his many mistakes. It’s like the young child who uses the phrase, “He did it first!” as a defense for any crime he perpetrates on others. Trump’s behavior should surprise no one because we have a child Commander-in-Chief.

If you expect any moral grounding from Melania Trump, you are suffering from the illusion that she is on your side. She married Donald Trump. Now I don’t’ know if it was love, good sex or the money, but she has already looked the other way. And, quite frankly, I don’t really care.

If you want facts from this fractured farce of a leader and his wife, then you are suffering from lack of memory. The reason we have loyalty and hate pitched against each other is because Trump demands loyalty above morality and he uses hate to divide and conquer.

Someone asked me, “Why all the name calling and putdowns of the leader of the free world?” I don’t really care. When I say something, or post something, or write an article, it’s with the hope that the Great Orange Leader might see it. And I know that the only way to get to him is to reach down into the mud with him. I want to make him angry, and if you don’t like it, I don’t really care.

The corruption and lies exist in bright daylight. Scott Pruitt, the swamp dweller who is destroying the E.P.A., is the perfect example of loyalty being more important than any misdeeds or misuse of office. Trump adds water to the swamp and feeds the alligators with his ignorance and lies. Pruitt is the poster boy for why Trump is a bad president.

Melania going to the border to talk to the kids was a fucking photo-op. It was a P.R. stunt designed to make it appear that the administration cares. As I have often said, the implication of the opposite is clear. Melania doesn’t care about something, we just don’t know what that something is. Remember, this is the same woman who called her husband bragging about grabbing pussy, “Boy talk.” She also claimed that the Donald was egged on by Billy Bush and that was the excuse for his comment. She even had trouble saying the word, “egged.” And let’s remember that Billy Bush lost his job, not Trump.

I don’t think Melania is very smart. If she was a thinking, caring person, she would have left Donald Trump years ago. I can say the same thing about Hillary Clinton, she should have left Bill Clinton years ago, but she isn’t dumb. Hillary calculated the risk and made the wrong choice. If she made better choices, she just might be president today. I don’t really care, Do u?

Let’s not make the model Melanija Knavs, from Slovenia (then part of Yugoslavia) into a protected queen. She’s just another pretty face that Donald Trump has used for his personal gain and gratification. He will dump her when he’s done with her. If she cannot communicate properly when representing the White House on a trip to see kids who were separated from their parents and held against their will, then she shouldn’t be allowed to do any official business. If you think this is a little harsh, well, I don’t really care.

WHAT’S WRONG WITH DONALD TRUMP?

The Real Challenge for America

A friend recently asked, “Why do you post negative things about our President every day?” After thoughtfully considering the question, I answered, “I truly believe that he is bad for America.” And, of course, I had a stronger argument. The goal isn’t bringing you to my point of view but rather giving you a few things to think about between now and the next time you vote.

President Trump created a humanitarian crisis by demanding Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Homeland Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen apply a “zero tolerance” policy to every person coming across our borders, whether they are seeking asylum or not. This terrible mistake demonstrates a drastic lack of thought and leadership by our President. Donald Trump continues to exploit racism and fear because his singular, perverse need is receiving love from his base supporters. We know that this group consists of maybe 30% of this great land, NOT THE MAJORITY!

Trump’s self-inflicted illusion is he alone can fix things. It’ a lie, just like most of what he says. The Donald manages to put a little piece of shit into everything he does, even his rare good plans. He is incapable of bringing our country together and that is exactly why he’s bad for America. He continually uses hate as a propellant, risking not only a potential fire but, worse, a mighty explosion.

Today, we learned that the White Supremacists who sponsored the rally in Charlottesville, Virginia last year have applied for a permit to rally around the White House this summer. Our Great Orange Leader will do nothing but sit back and laugh and laud the greatness of the First Amendment. Once again, those who want to stop the hate, the put downs and the pejorative attitudes will also have to march that day to match the crown size of the Neo-Nazis and Jew haters. We can only hope no one will get hurt.

And here we find another reason why Donald Trump is bad for America. He waits too long before addressing a real problem. He creates a negative atmosphere then does nothing to calm the waters or lead the country into compromise and betterment. He wastes time and money traveling to his rallies when he should be in the Capital working on challenges and constructive changes.

How do you tell a bullheaded, xenophobic old man that he’s making things worse? We learned this week that Trump believes nothing the polls or the press tell him. He has declared that media is bad and capable only of releasing “fake news.” He fawns over Fox News, but he will simply toss them into the fake news basket if they ever turn on him.

We have learned that his daughter and his wife convinced him to do something, but they are only a temporary relief from his bigoted mind. Watch, he will soon turn back to his in-house racists and fake bureaucratic bastards, John Kelly, Jeff Sessions and Stephen Miller, and follow their advice to fuck the immigrants.

Stephen Miller is the evilest one. I find it astonishing that his family is comprised of Ashkenazi Jews from Eastern Europe.  In the early 1900s his mother’s family emigrated to the United States from Belarus to escape anti-Jewish pogroms in Russia.

The very hate that tore apart Europe and killed millions of Jews in the 1930s is now being replicated by this young man, Stephen Miller. How does a 32-year-old political science major from Duke University become such an anti-immigrant racist? Hard to say, but if I could throw only one person from the White House Stephen Miller would be my pick to hit the road. And the ejection would be covered live on TV.

General John Kelly is a phony. He supposedly came into the White House to organize people and communication and bring order. He’s a failure. Some measure of military order would be good, but he has no power over Donald Trump. Kelly, hardened by his service and with roots in the reverse racism of the Irish-American community of Boston, will not serve his country well. He should retire and have a nice life.

Jeff Sessions has always been a typical old-school southerner who relishes a good “Negro joke” among close friends. He climbed the judicial power ladder with his short legs, while posing as a law and order guy for his own purposes. When a kid has their father’s name, it provides a built-in reason to look backward. Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III is probably no more liberal than his father, or his father’s father.

Each generation has a reason for rejecting progress. Alabama doesn’t allow a lottery, much less pharmaceutical marijuana. But rather than focus on Jeff Sessions’ home state, just look at his policies. They are further to the right than Donald Trump’s. Sessions just locked up innocent kids. And when people talk about how well those children are existing in their Wal-Mart prisons, our government pushes the same scripts old newsreels used to explain Japanese interment camps. Who are we?

The most important aspect of Donald Trump’s caving to pressure by signing an executive order is that he was able to slip a little piece of shit into his decree. Here is the turd-burger the President added to his order, “The Attorney General shall promptly file a request with the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California to modify the Settlement Agreement in Flores v. Sessions, CV 85-4544 (“Flores settlement”), in a manner that would permit the Secretary, under present resource constraints, to detain alien families together throughout the pendency of criminal proceedings for improper entry or any removal or other immigration proceedings.”

The executive order is a trojan horse. Jeff Session is being asked to petition the court to relax the Flores decision, which would mean the children of undocumented border crossers and those who “broke the law” (the parents) can be held INDEFINATELY. With a stroke of his big, fat felt-tipped pen, our lunatic President has created his own private Gitmo within our borders.

Under the present Flores agreement, immigrant children can be held for only twenty days. A minor cannot be charged for crimes committed by a parent, but incarceration with a parent is tantamount to being held without a charge. Imprisonment without due process is against the law on American soil, as stated in our Constitution.

When Trump cries about our laws being so bad, he is railing against the Constitution itself. His treasonous propaganda shows no respect for law. We cannot sit back and let him do this. In the end, the law will have the final say and the Sergeant of Arms will come to the White House and remove Donald J. Trump from office. That perp walk will make America great again.

SPEED DATING IN SINGAPORE

Trump’s Simplistic View of Diplomacy

What the world just witnessed in Singapore was the devaluation of reality. The bull in the china shop destroyed so much stemware and pottery that the United States will have to take out another loan to pay for it all. If I was a conspiracy theorist, I might suggest that the big summit between Kim Jong-Un and Donald Trump didn’t really happen. But we saw it on TV, so it must have taken place. However, the final product of the event has less backbone than a jellyfish.

The Democrats asked, “Where’s the beef,” While the Trump loyalists were toasting, “Well, Trump did it!” Yes, he took a meeting with the Chairman of a totalitarian nation, who arrests, tortures, kills and enslaves his people, but that never stood in the way of the Donald’s ego. He thinks he will get the Noble Peace Prize for this made-for-TV event, but he failed to get anything of substance from this high-level meeting. It’s pure Trump; lots of talk, lots of words, little substance.

Trump walked away with a two-page letter saying we agree to reaffirm the talks to denuclearize the Korean peninsula. We still don’t know if Kim’s definition of denuclearization matches ours. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said that the U.S. goal of the meeting with the North Korean despot was to get “Permanent, verifiable, irreversible dismantling” of their nuclear war machine. Mike has now become frustrated with the fair questions concerning that very pronouncement.

When Pompeo, probably suffering from the new orange form of jetlag, was asked about the fact that his words were not in the two-page agreement both leaders signed, he cited the word “complete” and equated it to “permanent, verifiable, irreversible dismantling” of North Korea’s nuclear arsenal. When pressed further, Pompeo barked, “I find that question insulting and ridiculous and, frankly, ludicrous. I just have to be honest with you. It’s a game and one ought not play games with serious matters like this.” Mike, Mike, we appreciate your being “honest” with us but, please, when you negotiate a complex disarmament agreement with another country, you should use precise legal verbiage. Right?

Since Trump returned from his speed-dating session with a dictator in Singapore, he has declared that North Korea is no longer a nuclear threat. This, we guess, is based not on an agreement but on his perception of a five-hour meeting with Kim Jong-Un. Donald Trump destroyed relationships with members of the G-7 with insults and his lack of understanding about how trade works, and then dashed off to the big summit. He doesn’t have a solid grasp of diplomacy, so he wasted his time and millions of dollars on a giant photo-op.

Time will tell whether a pledge to start a dialog will indeed lead to peace, but there is good reason to cast skepticism over what happened in Singapore. By telling Kim that we would suspend all military activities with South Korea, we gave the autocrat a gigantic win, without getting diddley-squat in return. Trump also hinted that we might pull out all our troops from South Korea. Really? Why would we do that?

When confronted about some of the North Korean human rights violations, Trump replied with praise for Kim Jong-Un as a “tough guy,” a “smart guy” and a “great negotiator.” When Bret Baier of Fox News interviewed Trump following the denuclearization summit, our president declined to condemn North Korea’s record.

International bodies have accused Kim of crimes against humanity, including assassinations of political rivals, public executions and the imprisonment of tens of thousands political adversaries. Trump seems numb to real carnage.

The Donald disassociated Kim from those atrocities with, “Hey, when you take over a country, tough country, with tough people, and you take it over from your father, I don’t care who you are, what you are, how much of an advantage you have – if you can do that at 27 years old, that’s one in 10,000 could do that.” I guess their first date went well, judging from Trump’s additional comment, “So he’s a very smart guy, he’s a great negotiator and I think we understand each other.”

Trump believes that everyone is like him and that flattering the other person is all that’s needed. When Trump says something that doesn’t get a response, he assumes he has won. Judging by what we know so far, Trump received a few words on paper, while America appears to have given more than we got. We all hope this is real but, judging by the reaction of Mike Pompeo to a few honest questions about the agreement, maybe the Secretary of State realizes that this is not as it appears.

Trump knows how to pull out of deals, but there is no evidence that he is competent with making pacts, agreements or peace treaties. Without good people like Pompeo, Trump would just be another fat, pompous politician with promises to keep. It’s not bad that he delivers on all his promises, but those promises are terribly destructive. He has made America less great. I am embarrassed by him.
