I DON’T REALLY CARE!

Melania’s Thoughtless Gaffe

When a human being wears a garment with a message, they are saying something. If someone is surprised when another notices what is written on their chest or back, they must be brain dead.

I lived in Washington, D.C. during the big celebration of the bicentennial. A famous T-shirt was sold locally that said, “I am not a tourist. I live here.” This was a comment flipping the bird to all those people who invaded the city that summer for the July 4th, 1976 festivities. A friend’s mother, who came from Montreal and still had a thick French-Canadian accent, always wanted to borrow it to make a statement to people she felt treated her like a foreigner in her new country, the U.S.A.

Our President, Donald Trump attempts to deflect blame backward, as if that vindicates his many mistakes. It’s like the young child who uses the phrase, “He did it first!” as a defense for any crime he perpetrates on others. Trump’s behavior should surprise no one because we have a child Commander-in-Chief.

If you expect any moral grounding from Melania Trump, you are suffering from the illusion that she is on your side. She married Donald Trump. Now I don’t’ know if it was love, good sex or the money, but she has already looked the other way. And, quite frankly, I don’t really care.

If you want facts from this fractured farce of a leader and his wife, then you are suffering from lack of memory. The reason we have loyalty and hate pitched against each other is because Trump demands loyalty above morality and he uses hate to divide and conquer.

Someone asked me, “Why all the name calling and putdowns of the leader of the free world?” I don’t really care. When I say something, or post something, or write an article, it’s with the hope that the Great Orange Leader might see it. And I know that the only way to get to him is to reach down into the mud with him. I want to make him angry, and if you don’t like it, I don’t really care.

The corruption and lies exist in bright daylight. Scott Pruitt, the swamp dweller who is destroying the E.P.A., is the perfect example of loyalty being more important than any misdeeds or misuse of office. Trump adds water to the swamp and feeds the alligators with his ignorance and lies. Pruitt is the poster boy for why Trump is a bad president.

Melania going to the border to talk to the kids was a fucking photo-op. It was a P.R. stunt designed to make it appear that the administration cares. As I have often said, the implication of the opposite is clear. Melania doesn’t care about something, we just don’t know what that something is. Remember, this is the same woman who called her husband bragging about grabbing pussy, “Boy talk.” She also claimed that the Donald was egged on by Billy Bush and that was the excuse for his comment. She even had trouble saying the word, “egged.” And let’s remember that Billy Bush lost his job, not Trump.

I don’t think Melania is very smart. If she was a thinking, caring person, she would have left Donald Trump years ago. I can say the same thing about Hillary Clinton, she should have left Bill Clinton years ago, but she isn’t dumb. Hillary calculated the risk and made the wrong choice. If she made better choices, she just might be president today. I don’t really care, Do u?

Let’s not make the model Melanija Knavs, from Slovenia (then part of Yugoslavia) into a protected queen. She’s just another pretty face that Donald Trump has used for his personal gain and gratification. He will dump her when he’s done with her. If she cannot communicate properly when representing the White House on a trip to see kids who were separated from their parents and held against their will, then she shouldn’t be allowed to do any official business. If you think this is a little harsh, well, I don’t really care.

WHAT’S WRONG WITH DONALD TRUMP?

The Real Challenge for America

A friend recently asked, “Why do you post negative things about our President every day?” After thoughtfully considering the question, I answered, “I truly believe that he is bad for America.” And, of course, I had a stronger argument. The goal isn’t bringing you to my point of view but rather giving you a few things to think about between now and the next time you vote.

President Trump created a humanitarian crisis by demanding Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Homeland Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen apply a “zero tolerance” policy to every person coming across our borders, whether they are seeking asylum or not. This terrible mistake demonstrates a drastic lack of thought and leadership by our President. Donald Trump continues to exploit racism and fear because his singular, perverse need is receiving love from his base supporters. We know that this group consists of maybe 30% of this great land, NOT THE MAJORITY!

Trump’s self-inflicted illusion is he alone can fix things. It’ a lie, just like most of what he says. The Donald manages to put a little piece of shit into everything he does, even his rare good plans. He is incapable of bringing our country together and that is exactly why he’s bad for America. He continually uses hate as a propellant, risking not only a potential fire but, worse, a mighty explosion.

Today, we learned that the White Supremacists who sponsored the rally in Charlottesville, Virginia last year have applied for a permit to rally around the White House this summer. Our Great Orange Leader will do nothing but sit back and laugh and laud the greatness of the First Amendment. Once again, those who want to stop the hate, the put downs and the pejorative attitudes will also have to march that day to match the crown size of the Neo-Nazis and Jew haters. We can only hope no one will get hurt.

And here we find another reason why Donald Trump is bad for America. He waits too long before addressing a real problem. He creates a negative atmosphere then does nothing to calm the waters or lead the country into compromise and betterment. He wastes time and money traveling to his rallies when he should be in the Capital working on challenges and constructive changes.

How do you tell a bullheaded, xenophobic old man that he’s making things worse? We learned this week that Trump believes nothing the polls or the press tell him. He has declared that media is bad and capable only of releasing “fake news.” He fawns over Fox News, but he will simply toss them into the fake news basket if they ever turn on him.

We have learned that his daughter and his wife convinced him to do something, but they are only a temporary relief from his bigoted mind. Watch, he will soon turn back to his in-house racists and fake bureaucratic bastards, John Kelly, Jeff Sessions and Stephen Miller, and follow their advice to fuck the immigrants.

Stephen Miller is the evilest one. I find it astonishing that his family is comprised of Ashkenazi Jews from Eastern Europe.  In the early 1900s his mother’s family emigrated to the United States from Belarus to escape anti-Jewish pogroms in Russia.

The very hate that tore apart Europe and killed millions of Jews in the 1930s is now being replicated by this young man, Stephen Miller. How does a 32-year-old political science major from Duke University become such an anti-immigrant racist? Hard to say, but if I could throw only one person from the White House Stephen Miller would be my pick to hit the road. And the ejection would be covered live on TV.

General John Kelly is a phony. He supposedly came into the White House to organize people and communication and bring order. He’s a failure. Some measure of military order would be good, but he has no power over Donald Trump. Kelly, hardened by his service and with roots in the reverse racism of the Irish-American community of Boston, will not serve his country well. He should retire and have a nice life.

Jeff Sessions has always been a typical old-school southerner who relishes a good “Negro joke” among close friends. He climbed the judicial power ladder with his short legs, while posing as a law and order guy for his own purposes. When a kid has their father’s name, it provides a built-in reason to look backward. Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III is probably no more liberal than his father, or his father’s father.

Each generation has a reason for rejecting progress. Alabama doesn’t allow a lottery, much less pharmaceutical marijuana. But rather than focus on Jeff Sessions’ home state, just look at his policies. They are further to the right than Donald Trump’s. Sessions just locked up innocent kids. And when people talk about how well those children are existing in their Wal-Mart prisons, our government pushes the same scripts old newsreels used to explain Japanese interment camps. Who are we?

The most important aspect of Donald Trump’s caving to pressure by signing an executive order is that he was able to slip a little piece of shit into his decree. Here is the turd-burger the President added to his order, “The Attorney General shall promptly file a request with the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California to modify the Settlement Agreement in Flores v. Sessions, CV 85-4544 (“Flores settlement”), in a manner that would permit the Secretary, under present resource constraints, to detain alien families together throughout the pendency of criminal proceedings for improper entry or any removal or other immigration proceedings.”

The executive order is a trojan horse. Jeff Session is being asked to petition the court to relax the Flores decision, which would mean the children of undocumented border crossers and those who “broke the law” (the parents) can be held INDEFINATELY. With a stroke of his big, fat felt-tipped pen, our lunatic President has created his own private Gitmo within our borders.

Under the present Flores agreement, immigrant children can be held for only twenty days. A minor cannot be charged for crimes committed by a parent, but incarceration with a parent is tantamount to being held without a charge. Imprisonment without due process is against the law on American soil, as stated in our Constitution.

When Trump cries about our laws being so bad, he is railing against the Constitution itself. His treasonous propaganda shows no respect for law. We cannot sit back and let him do this. In the end, the law will have the final say and the Sergeant of Arms will come to the White House and remove Donald J. Trump from office. That perp walk will make America great again.

SPEED DATING IN SINGAPORE

Trump’s Simplistic View of Diplomacy

What the world just witnessed in Singapore was the devaluation of reality. The bull in the china shop destroyed so much stemware and pottery that the United States will have to take out another loan to pay for it all. If I was a conspiracy theorist, I might suggest that the big summit between Kim Jong-Un and Donald Trump didn’t really happen. But we saw it on TV, so it must have taken place. However, the final product of the event has less backbone than a jellyfish.

The Democrats asked, “Where’s the beef,” While the Trump loyalists were toasting, “Well, Trump did it!” Yes, he took a meeting with the Chairman of a totalitarian nation, who arrests, tortures, kills and enslaves his people, but that never stood in the way of the Donald’s ego. He thinks he will get the Noble Peace Prize for this made-for-TV event, but he failed to get anything of substance from this high-level meeting. It’s pure Trump; lots of talk, lots of words, little substance.

Trump walked away with a two-page letter saying we agree to reaffirm the talks to denuclearize the Korean peninsula. We still don’t know if Kim’s definition of denuclearization matches ours. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said that the U.S. goal of the meeting with the North Korean despot was to get “Permanent, verifiable, irreversible dismantling” of their nuclear war machine. Mike has now become frustrated with the fair questions concerning that very pronouncement.

When Pompeo, probably suffering from the new orange form of jetlag, was asked about the fact that his words were not in the two-page agreement both leaders signed, he cited the word “complete” and equated it to “permanent, verifiable, irreversible dismantling” of North Korea’s nuclear arsenal. When pressed further, Pompeo barked, “I find that question insulting and ridiculous and, frankly, ludicrous. I just have to be honest with you. It’s a game and one ought not play games with serious matters like this.” Mike, Mike, we appreciate your being “honest” with us but, please, when you negotiate a complex disarmament agreement with another country, you should use precise legal verbiage. Right?

Since Trump returned from his speed-dating session with a dictator in Singapore, he has declared that North Korea is no longer a nuclear threat. This, we guess, is based not on an agreement but on his perception of a five-hour meeting with Kim Jong-Un. Donald Trump destroyed relationships with members of the G-7 with insults and his lack of understanding about how trade works, and then dashed off to the big summit. He doesn’t have a solid grasp of diplomacy, so he wasted his time and millions of dollars on a giant photo-op.

Time will tell whether a pledge to start a dialog will indeed lead to peace, but there is good reason to cast skepticism over what happened in Singapore. By telling Kim that we would suspend all military activities with South Korea, we gave the autocrat a gigantic win, without getting diddley-squat in return. Trump also hinted that we might pull out all our troops from South Korea. Really? Why would we do that?

When confronted about some of the North Korean human rights violations, Trump replied with praise for Kim Jong-Un as a “tough guy,” a “smart guy” and a “great negotiator.” When Bret Baier of Fox News interviewed Trump following the denuclearization summit, our president declined to condemn North Korea’s record.

International bodies have accused Kim of crimes against humanity, including assassinations of political rivals, public executions and the imprisonment of tens of thousands political adversaries. Trump seems numb to real carnage.

The Donald disassociated Kim from those atrocities with, “Hey, when you take over a country, tough country, with tough people, and you take it over from your father, I don’t care who you are, what you are, how much of an advantage you have – if you can do that at 27 years old, that’s one in 10,000 could do that.” I guess their first date went well, judging from Trump’s additional comment, “So he’s a very smart guy, he’s a great negotiator and I think we understand each other.”

Trump believes that everyone is like him and that flattering the other person is all that’s needed. When Trump says something that doesn’t get a response, he assumes he has won. Judging by what we know so far, Trump received a few words on paper, while America appears to have given more than we got. We all hope this is real but, judging by the reaction of Mike Pompeo to a few honest questions about the agreement, maybe the Secretary of State realizes that this is not as it appears.

Trump knows how to pull out of deals, but there is no evidence that he is competent with making pacts, agreements or peace treaties. Without good people like Pompeo, Trump would just be another fat, pompous politician with promises to keep. It’s not bad that he delivers on all his promises, but those promises are terribly destructive. He has made America less great. I am embarrassed by him.

FLY LIKE AN EAGLE

National Anthem and Flag Props

On June 20, 1782, the Bald Eagle became our national emblem, and those who made that selection felt strongly that the bird was a great example of long life, great strength and majestic looks.

The Bald Eagle of North America ran into problems due to hunting and the use of pesticides, like DDT, which almost wiped them out. In 1960, experts believed that there were only 400 breeding pairs left and they were put on the endangered species list. After lots of hard work by conservationists, the birds were back and removed from the list in 2007. If you’ve ever seen a Bald Eagle up close, they are indeed one of the most special birds in the world. Their wing-span can take your breath away.

Why are we talking about eagles? Well, they are the emblem of the football team from the City of Brotherly Love, Philadelphia. After 57 years, the Philadelphia Eagles finally won the National Football League Championship game, the Super Bowl. In the U.S.A., the team winning that big game traditionally gets an invite to the White House to be honored by the Commander-in-Chief. And that was the plan, until Donald Trump learned that only ten of the Eagles’ players were going to attend the White House celebration. Professional football teams have between 60 and 80 players and personnel.

Like a spoiled child, Trump canceled the party and attempted to blame the Eagles for the last-minute change. This President, who prides himself on fast action and flexibility, seemed rigid with the requirements on this one. To say that the Eagles were not sending a big enough team for the photo op because they wanted to pull off some political stunt was not true. The Donald immediately put together a political stunt of his own by staging a patriotic song fest on the south lawn. It’s never his fault when things go wrong.

A Philadelphia TV journalist who attended the flag waving party at the White House had an interesting report. After asking six people at the event to name the Eagles’ quarterback, none could answer. In fact, most of the people on the lawn that day were not fans of the Super Bowl Champs, but rather command-performance extras from government offices — in effect, event actors. Trump once again showed his lack of tact and inability to let a setback rest.

And this has given the Great Orange Leader an excuse to resurrect one of his major campaign rally cries and false assertions that the players have a lack of patriotism. He stirs his base with the lie that professional athletes disrespect the flag, the country and the military. Perhaps what began as a way for football players to show that black players distrust the judicial system and are focused on police brutality against people of color has now kind of become a protest against Trump himself?

As we write this, the National Basketball Championship is underway. The star player of each squad, Steph Curry and Lebron James, have said that if they win it’s unlikely their team would accept an invitation to the White House.

So, we see that when someone protests the protesters, another protest ignites. The simple calculus of this president is to never stop fighting, never apologize and never attempt to hear what anyone is saying about the other side of an issue. America is dealing with this right now, and the President who knows not what he does.

Some strategists say Trump’s putting the flag, the military and the National Anthem between himself and the large number of African-Americans who play sports is actually a form of micro-aggression against a whole race. Some trained psychiatrists might offer that the real reason behind this farce is not Trump’s hyper-patriotism, but the Donald’s downright racism.

What’s truly weird is Donald Trump thinks he is doing African-Americans a favor by being President. In his quest for votes from minorities he said to a whole race of Americans, “What do you have to lose?” The answer is in. They lost a little bit of their freedom and First Amendment rights. Thanks Goofball.

Roger Goodell, Commissioner of the NFL, along with the owners of the 32 teams have come up with their version of “Don’t ask, Don’t tell.” They ruled that players on the field during the National Anthem must stand, but those who wanted to protest could stay in the locker room. That is like sending a surrogate to a protest march. If I cannot see you, how do I know whether you’re protesting or just taking a last-minute pee?

The President’s remarks hurt a U.S. business and industry. There is a cause and effect reality that fewer people watched the game to honor the President. He has created an anti-athlete bias among his followers on an issue that would have gone away had he simply ignored it. But the big mouth Orange Man has made it a problem. Now, this matter will be played out in the courts.

Colin Kaepernick, the San Francisco 49er who started the take-a-knee protest, has filed a grievance against the NFL for collusion against him. Kaepernick claims that the owners of the 32 teams made a pact to keep him out of the game. Most sports fans know that when the San Francisco team dropped Kaepernick, he was more qualified than most of the back-up quarterbacks in the league. Despite that, not one team offered him a job. He was “blacklisted,” a term with double meaning in this case.

It is interesting that the word “collusion” is now a part of this situation and Trump has already taken a side. I am sure when Donald Trump talks to Roger Goodell, he tells him there was “no collusion.” In fact, the use of the word collusion here is entirely correct. Trump fixates on the word “collusion” because that was a major part of his business dealings to get a leg up on the competition.

However, collusion between Russian agents and a candidate, with the intent of them helping him to win the election in the United States, is treason. Donald Trump is his own worst enemy. I’ll predict that the NFL will lose the case against Kaepernick and will have to pay him large sums of money. Trump’s words will be used against the League, which means he will once again hurt the NFL, just like he challenged the same league when Trump owned the New Jersey Generals. Trump wants only to hurt his perceived enemies, even at the risk of wounding America.

MISSING THE WHOLE POINT

Samantha Bee Created a Hornet’s Nest

On her TBS cable show, comedian Samantha Bee took things to the next level by attacking Ivanka Trump, a woman who works for the current administration. Coming in the same week that Roseanne Barr lost her job for a racist tweet, the FULL FRONTAL TV show also got everyone’s underpants in a twitter. Bee indicted the President’s daughter for not taking up the plight of immigrant children being separated from their mothers and fathers as they come across the border seeking asylum in this great land of the free.

Yes, Samantha Bee called Ivanka a “feckless cunt.” The words were beeped out in the broadcast version of the program, but not in the web posting of the show. After the web world blew up, the network removed the program from its web site.

Bee’s verbal abuse of the “First Daughter” was motivated by the left’s myth that they could count on her to be the voice of reason. Ha! Ivanka will not take a public stand against her father’s draconian immigration policies. We know that Ivanka is just a trophy daughter, and if that offends you, then why is she there? Tell me. I am convinced she has no responsibilities. No one has ever provided her job description or explained exactly what she does.

The pundits and talking heads on TV trying to explain how Roseanne Barr’s tweet is the same as Samantha Bee’s putdown of the President’s daughter are missing the whole point. Samantha Bee won the messaging war, while Roseanne is just another person out of work.

Most of the country didn’t know who Samantha Bee was before this episode. Those who follow the Daily Show, will remember her as an edgy and feminist correspondent on that program. Full Frontal airs on TBS, a fringe network serving up basketball games and reruns of “Big Bang Theory.” There are those who wonder what happened to Conan O’Brien. Well he’s on TBS and has been for years.

Both Michelle Wolf and, now, Samantha Bee, have made explosive launches into the public consciousness. They used their opportunity to say something, and they REALLY said something. Bee’s message would never have gotten to so many people if she didn’t use the C-word.

No one in the White House or in the house next door would have been talking about this if the Canadian-American didn’t step outside the box. Everyone is talking about Bee and the point she made. This is a huge win for TBS and Samantha, forced to apologize to save sponsors, is in a better position than ever. I am sure the tune in for her next show will be tremendous.

The effect that this will have on the judge’s decision on whether AT&T can buy Time-Warner and, thus, Turner and TBS is unknown. But if AT&T is blocked from the merger by the Justice Department Trump thinks he runs, someone else will line up to buy the large media company, and it could be Jeff Bezos. So, Mr. Trump, be careful what you wish.

Separating families at the border is immoral and hurtful. We know that there is no greater pain you could possibly inflict on parents and their children, so why are we doing this in America?

The quick answer from all those in the Trump camp is that the people coming across the border are breaking the law and the law says we must separate them. Huh? Another answer the Trumpettes give when confronted with the pain they are causing is, “We didn’t start it, Obama did the same thing.” If Obama is the worst enemy of the Trump camp, how do they get away with using an Obama immigrant policy as the justification for doing harm to kids? I don’t get it.

And with this Law & Order White House, why is Trump replacing juries and judges with his pardon pen? Trump seems to pick and choose what laws are breakable and which are punishable.

Samantha Bee should not be fired for using her First Amendment right to speak out about immigration policy, no matter who sits in the White House. You can argue that her personal attack on Ivanka was mean spirited and vulgar, but it got the job done. Her message was heard.

Donald Trump will scream for an apology, which is oxymoronic, or maybe just moronic. Our Great Orange Leader says that he apologizes to no one, not even God. He said he has done nothing requiring an apology. Really?

We are in the grip of a tyrant in the making. He has made it okay to scream back and be rude and to say anything that gets attention. It’s what he does. Trump hates it when someone else takes the stage away from him or, more accurately, the mic. He craves being the center of attention. We wish him luck on his quest for popularity.

Donald Trump will never be well-liked by all Americans. If you are African-American, Hispanic, poor or interested in making money on global projects and companies, this president is a disaster. We will see who is feckless in the long run and, for those who didn’t look up the word, it means a person lacking initiative or strength of character. Hey, if the shoe fits… I would go so far to say that Donald, not his daughter, is the feckless cunt.

THE RAGE OF RUDY

Trump Gets His Roy Cohn

There is something very McCarthy-like about all this recent Trump stuff. Joseph McCarthy was the U.S. Senator from Wisconsin between 1947 and 1957. McCarthy investigated what he called un-American activities. which he and his cronies claimed were driven by communist convictions. McCarthy’s attorney was a man named Roy Cohn, who later became a mentor and fixer for a young Donald Trump.

Trump is frustrated by Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ recusal from the Russian Interference investigation. Trump was quoted by several sources to have complained, “Where is my Roy Cohn?” The Donald thinks that he should have the same kind of “protection” President Kennedy had with his brother, Robert, being the Attorney General. It’s as if our Great Orange Leader views the Attorney General as the President’s personal lawyer, rather than the head of the Department of Justice.

The susceptibility of this president to blackmail is alarming. He paid women for their silence about relationships, however far they went. He and his fixer, Michael Cohen, felt a need for six figure payoffs to women to, as they put it, not talk about things that didn’t happen.

And Donald Trump has such thin skin, that any negative comment on TV or in the press determines how he will act. He will even reverse course when the Fox News pundits and talking heads suggest he is wrong. He is totally controlled by media coverage. He is his own press agent with his Twitter account at the ready with no legal or logical filter on his output.

Donald J. Trump is open to strong pitches by people he likes or who are from New York. He relates to Rudy Giuliani because, in a lot of ways, Rudy is like Trump. The fastball con job Rudy has presented shows he is not the great prosecutor he once was. His arrival has only added more disruption to the White House. It’s obvious that Rudy and Trump are not coordinating with the other attorneys on the team. Why would a spokesperson for the President in such delicate legal matters make things worse?

When Rudy disfigures his face and pops out his eyeballs before he speaks, he looks like a demonic character in a horror movie. When one of your legal counselors says, “I’m ‘focused on the law more than the facts right now” every law professor and judge in the nation is throwing up with these comments. Any law scholar will tell you that the only aspects of law that mean anything are the facts.

Roy Cohn, Trump’s mentor, was a dirty player. Cohn was disbarred by the Appellate Division of the New York State Supreme Court in 1986 for unethical conduct and died less than two months later. This means either there is a God, or there is some justice in the Department of Justice. Trump probably thinks that Rudy is his Roy Cohn, not even close.

When calmer, more reasonable thinkers, like Trump’s current lawyers, tell him to stop tweeting or talking about legal matters, Trump’s skin itches to punch back. He wants a return of the good old days when Roy Cohn went after the enemies and used ANY METHOD to get a win. Trump is McCarthy.

Trump’s mentality about everything he says and does harkens back to a day when white people were on top, money and fame were true American successes and power was something there for the taking. Trump’s attempt to take us back has only one warrior against it, the law.

Trump is being played by Rudy and he doesn’t care because the end justifies the means. Rudy wants Trump to fire Jeff Sessions so he can become Attorney General. Giuliani must have pitched Trump with the idea that he alone can end this “witch hunt.”

Rudy has convinced Trump that he can sit down and with “Bobby Mueller” to negotiate a peace treaty. In Rudy’s defense of Trump, he sprinkles just enough truth to get Donald into trouble. Giuliani is clearly out of his league and, in the end, will prove to be simply another of the terrible mistakes Trump has made. Rudy will be gone shortly.

What if the Russians did penetrate the center of Trump’s campaign? What if Russian banks funneled money into the National Rifle Association, which then spent $30 million on ads for Trump? What if it we learn that more than two women were payed hush money after having affairs with Trump? Hey, Donald was just trying to “Be Best.” What if it comes to pass that Trump’s grand plan on tariffs and treaties sends the world into a financial slump? I’m sure we can all afford $3.75 a gallon for gas.

Will taking Trump out of office and replacing him with Mr. Milquetoast, Mike Pence, make America great again? Probably not, but somewhere in this passion play we will learn what we are made of and who we want to be.

Rudy’s rage is fake. Trump is fake. They are bad actors playing parts they think the base wants. But you cannot jerk around the system for too long before those West Virginia coal miners realize their jobs are not coming back. The stay-at-home mom in Milwaukee will eventually comprehend that the “glorious, beautiful” tax cut didn’t offset the increases in healthcare costs and she must seek employment.

Giuliani is the problem with politics today. He is attempting to promote himself while making things worse for his client. In the end, we will learn that Rudy was just a pacifier in the mouth of our baby president to make him feel good. Trump has no logic. After he checks off his list of campaign promises, he can sit back and watch America pay for his big changes. It’s just like all his business failures. Someone else will pay.

TWO WARS AT ONCE

Trump – Comey – Trump – Assad

There are times in every presidential administration when someone writes a book that is critical of the present occupant of the White House. We now have two books, Michael Wolff’s Fire and Fury and James Comey’s A Higher Loyalty. Both of them are direct hit jobs on President Donald J. Trump and the way he does business in Washington.

As President Trump was trying to decide what to do about HIS red line in Syria, the talking heads on TV were reading excerpts from the leaked Comey book. How fitting.

What has happened here is that the clearer, more informed minds of our Generals and Commanders in the field have temporary talked Trump off the ledge of war.

An important aspect of the Syrian conflict is the teaching moment it presents to our naïve and misinformed leader. The stakes involve a decision to go face to face with Russia and Trump appears to have blinked. We may never know if Trump used a communication channel to the Kremlin to find out how serious Putin was with his warnings, but the net result is that Trump can use Nikki Haley to work some magic at the United Nations to get the support of other nations.

We already have buy-in from the U.K. and France, but what about bringing Assad to the world court and charging him with war crimes? Why not figure out a way to get him out of control? Oh, that’s right, those are the same things Obama did and all he accomplished was a promise from Russia that the chemical weapons would be destroyed. That didn’t work. And when Trump was so emotionally overtaken by pictures of kids who were poisoned by Bashar al-Assad, he wasted 59 tomahawk missiles scorching an airfield that was up and running again in a few days. That didn’t’ work.

What the Donald is finding out is that all the things he thought he could fix with his big, round mouth are more difficult than he ever imagined. In fact, they are just as tricky as they were for Obama, two Bushes and Bill Clinton. While all this is going on, James Comey’s book is about to drop and the sound it will make will surely drive this ego-maniac more insane.

Comey could be painted as a just another fired, disgruntled employee arguing his case to the world, but what his book will do to this administration could be harmful to our country. While Trump and his team should be focusing on the Middle East, they will be diverted into a war posture against Comey, which they will expand to include the slandering and defiling Robert Mueller. Word on the street is that the RNC, a political party, will buy ads to discredit the investigation into Russian meddling in our election.

Chemical weapons are against the law, so is torturing a captured enemy, but that didn’t stop Dick Cheney and his neo-con war machine. It would be highly unlikely that anyone in the World Court would be convinced that America was a creditable witness to these high crimes and misdemeanors, but you still have that red line that both Obama and Trump painted in the sand. If the Armed Forces of the United States were thrown into a conflict in Syria, Trump’s premise that we wasted money and got nothing in Iraq and Afghanistan goes out the window.

There was a window of opportunity for Trump to maintain America’s leadership role in the world, but that has closed. When Turkey, Russia and Iran met to divide Syria, two messages became clear. First, the U.S. was not at the table, meaning we didn’t care. Second, we didn’t care about Assad’s thoughts. Putin wants a warm-water port and Iran wants to force Syria into their version of Islam. The supreme leader, Ali Khamenei of Iran, has a goal of maintaining religious and political power over Syria, no matter who the leader might be.

All this is way over Donald Trump’s head.  He doesn’t get the nuances and intricacies of the Middle East. He jobbed out that responsibility to Jared Kushner, who has remained invisible and silent through this and most other matters. What does this person do and why is he there?

Trump has been handed a Rubik’s cube which has been tortuously turned and worked by previous administrations. There are no secret codes, no money that can be paid to release us from this quagmire. Even if we were to remove Assad from power, there is no plan for handling the resulting vacuum. If the RNC spends millions to discredit the Special Counsel, the investigation will at least show that James Comey’s observations are more credible than false.

But the President has his bully-pulpit, a.k.a. Twitter, and he soon responded to his very own personal war, “James Comey is a proven LEAKER & LIAR. Virtually everyone in Washington thought he should be fired for the terrible job he did-until he was, in fact, fired. He leaked CLASSIFIED information, for which he should be prosecuted. He lied to Congress under OATH. He is a weak and untruthful slime ball who was, as time has proven, a terrible Director of the FBI. His handling of the Crooked Hillary Clinton case, and the events surrounding it, will go down as one of the worst “botch jobs” of history. It was my great honor to fire James Comey!” TRUMP ONLY CARES ABOUT HOW HE’S VIEWED, NOT WHAT IS RIGHT.

The on-the-job training of our Great Orange Leader is utterly tiresome and unproductive. If only someone would step up and take the wheel of this runaway train. Why do we have to wait four years? We don’t need to be fighting more wars. It’s time we give peace and order a chance.

GAS KILLING ANIMAL AND THE CLOWN

Trump’s Lack of Gravitas in Foreign Affairs

In the last 500 days, I have written over 150,000 words about Donald Trump, his reactionary behavior and his small mindedness. I never said I would be objective and have openly admitted that I never respected him, and I hated his TV show.

I lived in New York for 16 years and had a front row seat for the Donald Trump show, before he was a political candidate or president. Most of the time I cast aside his actions and opinions as the raves of a rabies infested mind. He rarely made sense, and it was obvious that each of his statements either made himself look better or discredited someone else. I never sensed a drip of reason from this headline-making rich guy. He was a simplistic fool, born with a silver spoon in his mouth. The metal must have leaked into his frontal lobes.

Anyone in the world can read any tweet that is posted to @realDonaldTrump. Now that the Donald has been sworn in as the President of the United States, we have more than just a reality TV series cliffhanger to consider. This man can now curtail justice in our courts, run up our country’s debt or, worse, get us into another war.

There should be someone filtering his emotional, unreasonable and unresearched viewpoints. But that is a stupid pipedream that will never happen. He will tweet us into a trade war or a real war, and no one will stand up to him. Trump is addicted to social media with the same reckless abandon of a 14-year girl or the local high school bully.

Trumps Tweets of April 11, 2018, “Russia vows to shoot down any and all missiles fired at Syria. Get ready Russia, because they will be coming, nice and new and “smart!” You shouldn’t be partners with a Gas Killing Animal who kills his people and enjoys it! Our relationship with Russia is worse now than it has ever been, and that includes the Cold War. There is no reason for this. Russia needs us to help with their economy, something that would be very easy to do, and we need all nations to work together. Stop the arms race? Much of the bad blood with Russia is caused by the Fake & Corrupt Russia Investigation, headed up by the all Democrat loyalists, or people that worked for Obama. Mueller is most conflicted of all (except Rosenstein who signed FISA & Comey letter). No Collusion, so they go crazy!”

Some people use the phrase, “Bull in a china shop.” I prefer to employ a visual of the direction a full balloon takes when let loose. Trump is all over the place, and when he receives any criticism he tries to fix the story, change the narrative or cast disparagement on people or institutions.

His misplaced ridicule may make him feel better, but it clouds the discussion and comprehension of what is really happening. This was the tweet he sent today (4-12-2018), “Never said when an attack on Syria would take place. Could be very soon or not so soon at all! In any event, the United States, under my Administration, has done a great job of ridding the region of ISIS. Where is our “Thank you America?”

This is exactly the reason he should NOT be allowed to tweet. Sorry, but all this yak-yak, throw-up-in-my-mouth justification that the President needs to tweet so he can communicate his thoughts directly to his “base” without the “censorship” of the mainstream media is a false narrative. And, really, why would the leader of the free world need a “thank you?” Insecurity reigns supreme.

Our Great Orange Leader needs the instant gratification of his inner thoughts blasting out on a social media platform. He seems to be trying out policies or thoughts on the internet, testing them in a sense. Sometimes his staff, cabinet and experts will tell him that there may be possible misinterpretation of what he has said, then he tries to repair the damage. He demands his underlings to lie daily, then throws them away when he is bored. Trump may think he is declaring opinions, but he doesn’t realize that what he types on Twitter, is policy. Those are legal documents.

Syria using chemical weapons is not a good thing. The bashing of Obama for creating what appeared to be a red line in the sand has pushed Trump to be less thoughtful and more aggressive than necessary. The Donald has painted his own red line because of this. He over-reacts to critics and ignores any semblance of diplomacy.

The posturing and flamboyant language of threating Russia and blaming the investigation on Russian interference as the catalyst for a bad relationship with Putin is, once again, the balloon uncontrollably flying around the room. Congress is limp and ineffective, failing their Constitutional responsibility to pull this president away from his warlike actions.

Unfortunately, the 9-11 attacks created a more liberal viewpoint of the president’s powers of waging war and “defending” our country. It’s time to revisit this and define the exact powers of war a president holds, and to determine the difference between defending our country and taking pre-emptive actions on foreign soil.

A true hawk on this Syrian crisis would call for regime change, but who wants to deal with Russia? It’s the one country we cannot trust Trump to handle properly.

Trump’s mouth has gotten himself into trouble and we are on the edge of war because this jerk of a president tweets before he thinks. On the campaign trail, he warned that if America voted for Hillary Clinton she would draw the country into war. Well, look who’s getting us into war now.

Trump is a liar and an unfocused human being. His picadilloes of vanity, narcissism and needy stage performances can be ignored, but his addiction to power, sex, love for his “base” above the rest of the country and a false belief that he knows better than anyone else is hurting America. He is known to have bribed his way out of problems. His morality can be and should be questioned by the evangelicals and conservatives in this country.

Trump needs to get the fuck out the White House before we are thrown into another unending war. Mike Pence is not a suitable replacement but, for now, President Pence will at least listen to the people and God more than the almighty dollar. Trump is a loser, a bum, and it’s time for us to get rid of him.

BLINDED BY THE WHITE LIGHT

Drama Queen in the Oval

If Donald Trump was a TV show, oh, wait a minute, he is a TV show. He is the main character in a dark comedy that robs viewers of their souls. When tuning in, we hear, “Previously on DONALD TRUMP: The first stupid President,” and then see and hear the same things he has been preaching over and over. But now, the leading lady, the orange drama queen, has his hands full. Russia is the problem, over there and over here.

The overtones of racism have always been part of this President’s character. He is silent on the challenge and problems of apparent police brutality and mistakes. Even the judicial branch cannot see the pain the people are feeling, and the lack of justice when it comes to brutal force of the police.

Trump doesn’t like Washington. Notice how often he runs away to Mar-A-Lago to get away from the trappings of power. He fires off tweets that show what he is really thinking, and then his staff must hustle behind the scene to edit the script to match the queen’s pronouncements.

As the Special Counsel digs deeper into the caper of Russian interference, we get little bits of scraps. The latest is that Rick Gates had met with Russian spies in October and November in 2016, right before the election. This is someone from the Trump campaign directly contacting Russians and Trump knew it, which is why he denied it so vehemently. Trump clearly lied, and now it’s beginning to look like there actually is a case of collusion, a case for obstruction of justice and maybe just plain treason.

The report that aides have leaked said they had been told not to publicize sending arms to the Ukraine or anything that would anger President Putin. The drama queen seems to be keeping some secret about her relationship with the villain.

In Paul the Apostle’s Second Epistle to the Thessalonians he said, “And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will destroy with the breath of his mouth, annihilating him by the manifestation of his coming. The coming of the lawless one is apparent in the working of Satan, who uses all power, signs, lying wonders, and every kind of wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason, God sends them a powerful delusion, leading them to believe what is false, so that all who have not believed the truth but took pleasure in unrighteousness will be condemned.”

This being Good Friday, I’m not sure why it is good but let’s keep a biblical analysis here, I would content that there is a great amount of wisdom in that passage. The lawless is Hillary Clinton, as presented by the Lord, who, in this case, is Donald Trump (the way the evangelicals see him). And he killed her with the breath of his mouth. This is saying that any opposition to Trump’s rule is the work of Satan, or the anti-Christ, or, in Trump’s mind, the “deep state.”

As Trump sees it, those against him are using all of their power, signs, lying wonders and wicked deception to thwart the Great Orange Leader’s movements. It’s because the enemy refuses to love his truth.

Trump is the anti-Christ and Satan incarnate. God has sent this powerful delusion to throw us all off the track of truth. He is doing everything he can to make us believe what is false. If we just turn to the scriptures, we will clearly see what is going on with this false prophet in a passion play of the destruction of democracy.

With the Russians launching ICBM missiles last night (it is called SATAN 2, not kidding), missiles that Putin claims cannot be shot down with our defense system, Trump has a real problem with Russia and he should back off talking about how the Russian investigation is a hoax and witch hunt. He must finally admit that Russia is not his friend, and that Putin is playing him like a fiddle and that we might be getting closer to the end of times. Ooouch!

Trump, with his bad thinking, just may wake up the witches of president’s past. On this first day of Passover, it might be good to go old school (Testament) and quote Leviticus 20:6, “I will set my face against anyone who turns to mediums and spiritists to prostitute themselves by following them, and I will cut them off from their people.”

In the time this was written, “mediums” and “spiritists” were the people who said they had special ordained power and could know the thoughts of gods and predict the future. Clearly, the Holy Bible is condemning those who have prostituted their values by following Trump, and, indeed, they have been cut off from their people. The delusional maniac at the helm of the good ship U.S.A. has driven far away from anyone who disagrees with the Donald.

We can only hope that there is a God and that he will rise and send us some help to deal with the antichrist we have created in the image of ourselves. I guess, in the image of Roseanne, if you believe the hype of the holy babble of TV.

KIM JONG-UN SLIPS INTO CHINA

Stormy Daniels Applies Maximum Pressure

Well look what we have here, a President who is pushing a certain domestic agenda while the rest of the world is wary of our inconsistent leader. There is substantial proof that many of the ideologically driven beliefs of this man are being pushed through the system with even some codified into law. No one in the Republican party is pushing back on his bad ideas.

On the world stage, countries no longer look to America as the main player in foreign policy affairs and détente. They have gotten together on their own despite this president’s desire to take credit for everything that happens.

Last night Donald Trump tweeted, “Received message last night from XI JINPING of China that his meeting with KIM JONG UN went very well and that KIM looks forward to his meeting with me. In the meantime, and unfortunately, maximum sanctions and pressure must be maintained at all cost!” It’s strange to hear him say that it’s “unfortunate” to maintain sanctions, I mean, tough guy, wasn’t that the whole point?

And speaking of tough guys, Stormy Daniels’ attorney, Michael Avenatti, filed a motion last night (3-27-2018) asking the judge in the U.S. District Court in Los Angeles to grant him permission to question Trump and depose the president’s lawyer, Michael Cohen. If you remember, Cohen admitted to paying the Stormy hush money out of his home equity account to help his friend Trump.

The porn star’s lawyer claims, “It is firmly established that a sitting president is not afforded special protection from a civil suit regarding conduct before he or she entered office” and went on to cite the landmark 1997 Supreme Court ruling in Clinton v. Jones, which established that a sitting president isn’t immune from civil lawsuits related to activity that occurred before he took office.

The old saying of what goes around comes around is best suited for this predicament. And for those evangelicals reading, “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” You have been deceived by this man and you may make the joke of giving him a “mulligan” but you are responsible for the weeds in your garden. And for those people who don’t play golf, a mulligan is an extra stroke allowed after a poor shot, not counted on the scorecard. A do over.

I’ll wager that the discussions which took place in Beijing included a serious question about what they should do about Donald Trump. It’s no longer a question about how to deal with the American agenda. It’s a deliberation of how to handle our crazy, raving President. While Trump believes his unpredictability and harsh tweets have accomplished something in this matter, other world leaders are just waiting for him to leave office so they can get back on solid ground.

China is controlling this diplomatic effort, while Michael Avenatti is piloting an effort to stain this presidency. Lawyers are leaving the Donald and it seems like the Trump’s inner circle is getting smaller. That isn’t necessarily bad for this frothing lunatic. With fewer people around him, there will be fewer people to blame when this all blows up. And it will.

With Avenatti chipping away on Trump’s fornications and Robert Mueller examining the Great Orange Leader’s financial webs and obvious lies, it won’t be long until the whole country knows all the facts behind Trump’s tactics and fear of Russia.

He’s afraid of something, and everyone agrees it’s not a hoax or a witch hunt. Just now, CNN News is reporting that Rick Gates, Paul Manafort’s partner, had contact in September and October of 2016 with, who some believe, are Russian intelligence operatives. Note: Rick Gates pleaded guilty and is working with the Special Counsel’s office. Remember when Trump said that no one from the campaign had any contact with Russians? He lied. Both Manafort and Gates worked for the campaign.

The Mueller investigation is looking into a corrupt manipulator and con man. We all know Trump is immoral and a sexual predator. We will soon learn, in detail, about his fraudulent behavior in business and government. He paid off the porn star and the Playboy bunny, and now he wants to screw anyone who gets in his way. He is a dangerous person.

Last night on the Daily Show, actor and author Sean Penn summed it up nicely when he suggested that “the American government needs to impeach the current president.” And that is a great way to say it. The government represents the people and the people need to count on their own government for course corrections. Without a vote in the Senate, we will have to deal with this dingbat for much too long. The day Donald Trump is removed from office, America will be made great, again.
