BRIBERY…

With a Steamy Side of Corrupt Intent

Donald Trump either doesn’t understand law or he simply chooses to ignore what is on the books. I’m fairly sure he can be diagnosed as a pathological liar with narcissistic personality disorder. Perhaps in his quiet, alone time he knows that he’s a fraud on many levels, but then he would have to admit that on top of all his other flaws he has a dual personality. But let’s not get too far into the world of science; it’s a world that Trump never visits.

Federal laws define bribery as the practice of offering, giving, receiving, or soliciting something of value for the purpose of influencing the action of an official in discharge of his or her public or legal duties. To put this another way, bribery is used to gain an illicit advantage.

According to USLegal.com, “The General Federal Bribery Statute says that whoever directly or indirectly, corruptly gives, offers or promises anything of value to any public official with intent to influence that person’s official act will be fined for the offence of bribery by an amount not more than three times the monetary equivalent of the thing of value, or imprisonment for not more than fifteen years, or both.  And if convicted, that person would be disqualified from holding any office of honor, trust, or profit under the U.S government.”

It doesn’t say that the person being bribed must be a US official and it also plainly states that a promise of anything of value can be an ingredient in a bribery case. Clearly, almost $400 million in aid is something of value. After reading all the available testimony and transcripts and digesting the diatribes of the President himself, I believe Donald J. Trump is guilty of bribery. It’s time to stop using the phrase “Quid Pro Quo,” just as we no longer talk about “collusion,” a word Trump thought would shield him from the truth in the last investigation.

There is no doubt that Trump had a corrupt intent, and his defense in the form of a denial is pointless. Trump typically denies everything when he’s accused of wrongdoing. In more than 11,000 tweets, President Trump has lied more than 13,000 times. After many initial claims of non-involvement, evidence has proven that he not only had direct knowledge but participated in the corruption.

The laughable plea that he was trying to root out corruption in Ukraine is astonishing. Trump’s trick of trying to destroy Joe Biden as a political rival could possibly work, which would then become more proof that he is a chronically immoral being. Trump himself has corruptly used the Justice Department to carry his water and attempt to discredit the very people in Justice who are charged with defending our country against crime. Those who are complicit will be remembered.

Going after the whistleblower is a gross injustice being perpetrated and encouraged by the President of the United States. This is against the law and surely will be added to the impeachment charges.

The whistleblower protection act states that anyone who comes forward to point out corruption is afforded protections from retaliation such as reduction in pay or hours, denial of overtime or benefits, a suspension that lasts 14 days or more, termination from serving as federal civil employee, demotion to a lower paying position in federal employment or reducing one’s responsibilities. The death threats that the whistleblowers lawyers have been receiving are important to people like Donald Trump and the Napoleonic Senator from Kentucky, Rand Paul. Shame on all who break the law!

Bribery is a thug crime and degrading act. Using it in a scheme to keep aid from a country that could affect the security of this country borders on treason is perilous. It’s time we start using proper terms so that the American public can understand exactly what this president did.

People understood the Black Sox scandal of 1919, when baseball players took bribes to throw a World Series. People understand a late breaking case of bribery, in which three Twitter employees allegedly took bribes to help Saudi Arabia spy on dissidents. People understand the stain on politics when some local politician takes a bribe to help his brother-in-law get a big government contract. BRIBERY is the correct word with respect to Trump. Use it!

A person offering a bribe is guilty of an infraction, as is the person who takes the bribe. The President of Ukraine didn’t take the bribe, but the bribe was discovered. It’s time that we use the law, 18 USCS prec § 201(b) against Donald Trump and his corrupt administration. It’s time that this “law and order President” gets a personal dose of that law and order he swore to defend.

WHO’S YOUR DADDY, BAGHDADI?

The Reason Intelligence Matters

In 2011, businessman Donald Trump felt the need to comment about the raid that killed Osama bin Laden, “Any president sitting there when the generals come in and say we have him, who’s going to say, oh, let’s leave him alone?” Trump was attempting to lessen any credit President Obama might receive for the raid and killing. Trump also complained about it taking so long, an early slap at military intelligence.

President Trump doesn’t understand that the type of decisions all modern presidents had to make, are now his to make. He gets credit for his good moves and, as he knows, he will get harshly slayed by the press, Congress and his critics when things go wrong. Donald Trump has made no friends with his critical personality.

Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is a main character in my book If God Could Cry, and I was delighted by his killing. My historical novel portraited the so-called leader of the Caliphate based on the many books and articles I read about him. His location in my book was in northern Syria, quite near where he was finally found. This seemed logical to me when I was writing.

The boogie man Trump attempted to create during his “mission accomplished” Sunday morning presentation to the nation probably made some people feel good, but this line about Baghdadi, “Died like a dog, died like a coward,” might be better for someone doing a movie pitch. It was so un-statesman-like. How can there be joy in the murder of an enemy when the “achievement” included the killing of three innocent children? This gloating is a giant turn-off and it’s just more of the “all about me” attitude that constantly seeps out of Trump like puss.

I have always been skeptical about generalizations because they are often used to put down an entire race, religion or culture. Trump uses a bit of undocumented hearsay or obvious racial tropes to make people doubt groups of people. For example, he said that the Kurds “are no angels,” meaning what? The facts suggest that the Kurds provided the information that helped find Baghdadi. Why are we pushing them away?

Trump is also desperately trying to justify his embrace of Putin and Russia as it pertains to Syria, Turkey, the Kurds and what is happening in that part of the world. He paints his personal relationships with non-democratic demigods as something that will help America. I hate to say it, but Donald J. Trump has now drawn a giant target on himself because he personalized the kill. His overt taking of credit for the operation while shaming the terrorist with his graphic description will cause other terrorists to see Trump as the true “infidel.” I am sure the Donald loves his characterization of the whole thing being like a movie, but movies have endings.

Terrorist movements are not motion pictures. They tend to reconstitute, and the next version is always much more heinous. It’s clear that Donald Trump doesn’t have any idea about how people in that part of the world think. He has no training in or knowledge of foreign policy, and probably couldn’t explain how a parliamentary system works. If only he had followed the advice of those in the government who know that area, he might have stayed in the game to gain long-term stability.

Trump would rather have a friendship with Kim Jong-Un, even if pushes aside the grief and sorrow of a family from Cincinnati who lost their son at the hands of that monster. Otto Warmbier is person who didn’t have to die. Trump doesn’t care about him, though. He got his mileage and has accepted Kim’s denials.

Because of a U.N. investigation and report, we know how Saudi agents plotted to kill and dismember Washington Post reporter Jamal Khashoggi., Trump, however, is more interested in selling weapons to Saudi Arabia. Killing people is okay for Trump if it involves a transaction favorable to him. Trump has accepted the Crown Prince’s denial.

The suggestion that our military will remain in Northern Syria to protect the oil refineries does not mean that Trump will use such military intervention to get the oil of a sovereign nation. The U.N. clearly states, “…in conflict and post-conflict situations, the importance of cooperation in shared responsibility, among source, transit and destination countries in preventing and combating trafficking, illicit trade and illegal exploitation of natural resources.” It would be against international law for us to exploit the resources of any nation. Plus, we really don’t need the oil, according to Trump we have tons of it.

Trump may say he doesn’t respect the United Nations, but he falls all over himself to address that body. He needs to follow the rules in war and conflicts, unless he wants to spend his later years sitting in front of a war tribunal. That’s on him.

The intelligence community and the lifetime experts who work for the federal government are NOT petty people like Trump. They are mission-oriented folks who are totally loyal to the Constitution and the Commander-in-Chief. When difficult times come, Trump needs to turn to those same intelligence people for information that will keep our country safe. When he maligns them on Twitter for political purposes, he not only disrespects those hard-working Americans he stains the presidency. He comes off as trite and burdened by information.

Trump will take the credit for the death of an enemy, but that doesn’t mean he alone can determine who the real enemies are. He needs to stop being so judgmental without facts and evidence. The saddest point concerning the take down of ISIS’ number one man is the glorification of his death could incite “true believers” to do more harm to people who look like us. But then, Trump has all the answers and we hope his guesses work because failure could be terrible for our country. When he’s wrong, we always lose big time.

GET OVER IT

Mulvaney’s Overt Folly

Yesterdays’ happenings in the Trump administration should bother every living American. The arrogance, fabrications and blunders are getting in the way of our progress and security. The massive methane of White House bullshit is threatening the planet’s environment.

How long it will take to “get over” this calamity known as Donald Trump? The election of our orange monster has given Vladimir Putin everything he could have ever wanted. Trump is all talk and no brains and the people around him are mindless tools and fools.

Mick Mulvaney did his undergraduate work at Georgetown and went on to receive his legal degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He then won the South Carolina 5th District in House of Representatives, but not without controversy. Mulvaney’s campaign was funded by the Commission on Hope, Growth, and Opportunity, a group run by lobbyist Scott W. Reed, who was accused of violating federal campaign finance laws and disclosing false information to the Internal Revenue Service. Yes, here’s another swamp creature who slithered into the White House!

In front of the White House press corps, Mulvaney announced that Donald Trump has decided to “award” one of his properties, the Doral resort in Miami, the G7 Summit which will take place next June. He also brazenly declared that no one would see any of the bidding paperwork leading to that decision. This is clearly a violation of the Emoluments Clause, which restricts members of the government from receiving gifts, emoluments, offices or titles from foreign states and monarchies without the permission of Congress. Someone must step forward on Capitol Hill.

Mulvaney should have walked away from the press after his outrageous G7 announcement, but he’s just another grifter with no skill at self-editing. His phrase, “Get over it,” showed a contempt for law and order as well as a genuine belief that Donald Trump can do no wrong.

The Director of the Office of Management and Budget, who is also acting White House Chief of Staff, now tells us that political considerations are simply a part of foreign policy and we should “get over it.” Does he mean domestic or general politics? He’s just another buffoon communicator Trump has tapped to speak for him.  Nice work, Prez!

Mr. Mulvaney, you are a belligerent piece of shit. We will NOT “get over it” and we will remember your admission that the President of the United States asked another country to get involved in our elections in exchange for military aid. It was a quid pro quo and you knew it, which makes you and your fluffy little ass complicit. Get ready to  be thrown out of government, which will happen as soon as this whole matter of malfeasance is resolved, meaning Trump’s impeachment.

While the press room punk in the White House was playing out, two other Trump puppets were in Turkey surrendering to their President. The ridiculous photo op with Mike Pence, Mike Pompeo and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was just another stain on a diplomatic suicide mission. After the announcement of a 120-hour ceasefire, Trump gloated in Dallas about how he alone “saved civilization,” but there are major lies in this plan.

First, when is it proper for two countries to decide the fate of a third sovereign nation without involving them in the process? That would be like Canada and Mexico deciding what they wanted to do with the Washington State in the US. Erdoğan wanted to take a sizable chunk of land from Syria to force movement of Turkey’s unwanted immigrants, and guess what?. We gave him what he wanted and in exchange we agreed to lift sanctions. So, we gave them two things and what did we get? Art of the steal?

The Pence and Pompeo agreement gave the Kurds and their fighters five days to leave the land that Turkey planned to take over with force. This was not a ceasefire, It was nothing but a third-party surrender of civilization and claimed land belonging to our fighting allies.

Trump and Erdoğan caused this disaster, and history will write that the Turkish President played Trump and got exactly what he wanted. If only they had agreed to this before the invasion, 285 Kurds would still be alive.

It wasn’t more than a few hours before Turkey’s Foreign Minister declared the agreement was not a “ceasefire,” but simply a pause. “Ceasefire” is legal terminology with international meaning and standing, Turkey said it was just a “temporary pause,” meaning they can resume killing whenever they want without any penalty or face loss.

The headline in today’s Wall Street Journal says it all, “Fighting Flares in Syria Despite Hours-Old Cease-Fire.” Let’s be crystal clear, as our president says. Kurdish forces are to withdraw from a 20-mile-deep territory that will then be controlled by Turkey. Donald J. Trump handed that win to Turkey. How foolish Pence and Pompeo looked on the world stage.

The Turkish forces, along with unhinged militias in the area, will continue to kill people while our fat foolish president prances around America professing his success in the Middle East. He will talk about fulfilling his campaign promise to bring the troops home, but he doesn’t realize that he has produced unrest and uncertainty in a volatile region of our world. And with a new land bridge which Iran will surely use to get closer to Israel, Trump may have just sunk the chance of his buddy, Netanyahu, from forming a government. Too bad. I guess the Kurds and Israel and those who were keeping the peace just need to “get over it.” What a screwed-up President we have.

SANCTIONS & CEASEFIRE

Trump’s Illogical Foreign Policy

There is something so disturbing about President Donald J. Trump that makes me wonder if he has the cognitive ability to think in linear form. We don’t know what was said and heard on the call with Turkey’s President, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, but the two leaders’ comments and actions seem to be totally out of sync. If you want a leader to not invade a country, perhaps you should tell them BEFORE THEY ATTACK!

Donald Trump says he told Erdoğan that moving his troops and talking land in Northern Syria would be a bad idea. However, the text of the Turkish side of that call leads one to believe that Trump gave Turkey permission to land grab with the intent of resettling refugees avoiding the wrath of Bashar al-Assad, the evil president of Syria. In April of 2016, the United Nations and Arab League Envoy to Syria estimated that 400,000 people died in the war.

Speaking from the Oval Office on 10-16-2019, President Trump said that Turkey’s incursion into Syria is their problem. The exact quote was, “They have a problem at the border; it’s not our border,” and that “they’ve got a lot of sand over there. There’s a lot of sand they can play with.” What a dingbat remark. He has no idea how uncaring and distorted his comments are. Not only is it our problem, it’s a snag we created by our actions. We started a war by pulling fewer than 50 soldiers out of a place that had been experiencing relative calm. Trump refuses to admit he is wrong while being played by another ruthless world leader who has become nothing short of a sultan in Turkey.

While both Republicans and Democratic Congresspeople are highly critical of Trump’s bizarre plan, the President demanded a stop to the invasion and called for a ceasefire. Erdoğan has Russia and Putin on his side and he doesn’t give a whit about Trump’s babbling. The man is under impeachment investigation and he thinks that his opinions are the only things that matter about the law, a war, and the world. He’s a complete buffoon with no mental acumen and no talent for foreign policy and world events. The Donald is harming America, right in front of everyone’s eyes. Someone needs to step up and STOP HIM NOW.

VP Mike Pence and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo traveling to Turkey for an emergency ceasefire negotiation with Erdoğan is almost comical. Why didn’t Trump make his position clear on the phone call? Fox News reported that, “President Trump ‘went off script’ during his call on Sunday with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, before he announced that the U.S. would withdraw all troops from northeast Syria ahead of a Turkish military operation in the region.”

Trump was supposed to say, “Tell Erdogan to stay north of the border,” but he ignored some of his own points. I swear, this man has a chip in his brain controlled by Putin controlling him to do dirty deeds which affect the very security of our nation.

Trump claims that the Kurds are “no angels,” but what exactly does that mean? He spouts about the cost of the transaction, ignoring the fact that the Kurds fought against ISIS for us and captured more than 10,000 terrorists. This idiot president fails to comprehend they lost more than 10,000 men and women in the fight against ISIS. He’s simply blocked it out to cover his lies and bad judgment.

Trump believes that some ISIS fighters were released from prison to lure America back into a war in the Middle East. Has he forgotten that ISIS, and Al-Qaeda before them, were trained in those areas and attacked the United States on 9-11? He doesn’t care if ISIS prisoners get released, claiming they will go to Europe. Why is that good for America and the world? How lame is it for the President to tell the American public that Syria is 7,000 miles from us and so what happens there is not that important to our country and people.

Trump abuses his power by waging economic war with sanctions. He threatens to raise tariffs on Turkish products, thinking President Erdoğan will bend to his will. Actually, he is forcing Turkey and other fringe countries into the arms of Russia and Putin. If Trump keeps going, we will lose face and the support of our international allies.

As the world gets worse, Trump continues to praise himself and gloat on the false premise that he knows what he is doing. The United States is being run by a lunatic who believes his unitary executive position cannot be challenged by equal branches of government. If we do not stop him now, we might have to fight for our democracy for decades to come.

The mistake in Syria proves Trump is unfit to be President of our country, or any country. He repeats himself endlessly while those who believe in him are guilty of a strange idol worship. They will be judged by a higher power. For now, however, we must get rid of this presidential idiot who is damaging America more and more every day. Donald Trump won’t learn any lesson, even when his two stooges, Pence and Pompeo come back from Turkey with their tails between their legs with nothing accomplished in Syria. This is a failure of epic proportions.

IN TRUMP WE TRUST

The Burden of Bad Management

In the last week, we have learned exactly who Donald J. Trump is and why he’s more than unhinged and unqualified to be president. My eyes and ears were caught by a statement from Pat Robertson. I respect his committed to God and his Holy Savior, but I rarely agree with his political statements. It became news when he pointed his gnarly finger at the White House.

On his 700 Club TV show, Robertson said, “I am absolutely appalled that the United States is going to betray those democratic forces in northern Syria.” He also offered that if Trump let the Turks invade northern Syria and attack the Kurds, he will lose his “Mandate of Heaven!” Wow, I had no idea that Trump was on God’s personal payroll, even though he seems to be on lots of payrolls these days.

Two Dictators

Robertson called Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan a “thug” and “dictator,” which proves that the “pious” religious broadcaster just might be more informed about geopolitical issues than our president. But then, no one ever said Trump knew much about global realities, well, except Trump himself. Robertson pointed out that there is a sizable Christian community among the Kurds.

Trump consistently told us that if we voted for Hillary Clinton America would be drawn into a war. Well, the Donald has just created a war with his bad management of the Syria situation. He threw the Kurds, our allies, under the bus, exposing them to squashing by the Turkish army. Once John Bolton left the administration, no one was left to “explain” things to Trump. We have just entered the most dangerous time of the century and Republicans don’t see their enabling as a potential threat to America’s security. And, oh yeah, North Korea has an atomic bomb. How did that happen?

Trump spends most of his time tweeting his discontent, racing to rallies to shout his lies and meeting with attorneys. He proves his distraction with his actions and schedule. He wastes time and jet fuel by standing on the north lawn screaming over the whine of Marine One. When can we get back to regular order with calm daily press briefings? When Donald Trump is ousted from office!

The Kurds have learned they cannot trust the USA when it comes to war and support. They did a deal with the devil and are now being repaid by the devil himself, Donald Trump. Surely, hundreds of thousands of Kurds will be displaced and thousands will lose their lives just because Trump failed to say NO to Turkey’s sultan in waiting.

It’s rather amazing that Trump didn’t see President Recep Tayyip’s strategy as nothing but a land grab. Trump probably thinks the Turkish resettlement plan is a good idea. Turkey takes some land, even it means killing a bunch of innocent people, then pushes all those immigrants who traveled to Turkey for safety into the newly “liberated” area. At worst, it’s ethnic cleansing, at best, it’s an invasion of another nation for the purpose of getting rid of unwanted people. I am totally appalled that the press and TV journalists called it a “military operation” rather than what it actually was, a fucking invasion.

I wonder if Trump has thought about doing the same thing on the Mexican border here. The entire world knows that Donald J. Trump cannot be trusted. What a horrible president and a contemptible human being! The time has come for America to cast off our political affiliations and come together to right this ship. Trump must be taken out of office as soon as possible. He simply isn’t smart enough to be president.

IMMINENT IMPEACHMENT

Trump’s Unitary Executive Fallacy

If you wonder why Attorney General William Barr acts the way he does, you should understand his viewpoint: The unitary executive theory is a US constitutional law holding that the US president possesses the power to control the entire executive branch. The doctrine is rooted in Article Two of the United States Constitution, which vests “the executive power” of the United States in the President. Barr, like Richard Nixon, truly believes that anything the president does cannot be against the law. Well, that isn’t what Article Two says. A.G. Barr is simply taking the liberty to act on his dogma.

Article Two of the United States Constitution establishes the executive branch of the federal government which enforces federal laws, however the person carrying out those laws is not outside of them. We have police, but police do not decide what happens to those they arrest. That would prevent the right of being innocent until proven guilty under due process of law. In many ways, the President is just a citizen. This brings us to Donald J. Trump.

Because of our 45th President, more of us are learning about the workings of our government. Every TV news network is now explaining how impeachment works, what the percentages are and what will happen after Trump is impeached. But let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves. In their attempt to impeach Trump, the Democrats are deliberately pushing our three branches of government back to the checks and balances that are fundamental to our Constitution. Even if Trump is not impeached, the rejiggering of our government is very powerful and important.

This might not be a popular opinion, but the information from the whistleblower complaint makes me feel that Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Attorney General William Barr should resign immediately, Rudy Giuliani should be charged as an unregistered foreign agent and, yes, Donald J. Trump should be impeached, tried in the Senate and removed from office.

Now, why after all this time does Donald Trump find himself in this predicament? He obviously knows he is in peril. He has tweeted more than 87 times over last weekend about the impeachment investigation that was started with Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s announcement of the House’s commitment to evaluate whether Trump’s actions rise to the level of high crimes and misdemeanors. This is real, people!

Even with the Justice Department opinion memo saying that a president cannot be indicted, arrested or charged in any crime while in office, it doesn’t say that a president can openly commit a crime. It doesn’t say that the “Unitary Executive” is somehow above the law. The opinion includes this footnote, “…far from being above the laws, he [the President] is amenable to them in his private character as a citizen, and in his public character by impeachment.” This footnote infers that a sitting president is still amenable (open to) the laws in private character as a citizen. A person who becomes President doesn’t erase or pause his or her private character, therefore they can be charged for crimes while they hold the office. Obviously, this is my opinion.

Impeachment and conviction erase the veil of a sitting president and returns him to a status of justice for all. Once a president is out of office, he is no longer immune to charges for any crimes or misdemeanors he committed before, during or after his presidency. But there is a loophole here, and we all know what it is.

Trump could bargain with his Republican brethren where, in exchange for resignation, President Pence would agree to pardon Trump. Now, that puts us into an interestingly gray area. Would Congress proceed to impeaching President Pence for such an action? Many state charges could be brought against Trump outside the purview of a federal presidential pardon. Either way, Trump’s life after being president will be difficult and revealing. We will finally learn the true worth of this man’s money and stature.

Trump is a dreadfully, deceitfully disruptive human being, but there is something more aggravating about him. He can see his success only in terms of someone else’s defeat or demise. It’s not just good enough to win, it must be at another’s expensive. He describes the value of tariffs, while in the same sentence talks about the hurt taking place in China. He talks about wanting peace talks with Iran, while bragging about how his sanctions are bringing the people of Iran to their knees. This is not the pride of America speaking; it’s the callousness of one man. I find myself thinking at least once a day, “What a terrible human being.”

One thing about this adherence to the “unitary executive fallacy” is that when things go south there is only one person to blame, Donald J. Trump. And those who are supporting this unitary viewpoint, will be cast by their shame as political operatives and removed from office. And then, America grows stronger.

RECUSE OR RESCUE?

Trumped Up Calls for Investigation

We are living with a liar in the White House. Hardly anyone disputes that Donald Trump will say anything to win an argument, but what is really going on? It’s just another day in the ever-growing money-oriented political game that has hijacked our government. Why does this have to be the norm in the “greatest country in the world?” Let’s look at the broken promises and harmful premises of the 45th President of the United States.

Donald Trump wants to own the judge. It’s an old trick in local city politics and this far-reaching corruption must be stopped if we want a stronger democracy. In the good old days of small-town corruption, you could simply throw a bribe to an official to get whatever you wanted. Trump sees his presidential position as all powerful. He doesn’t think through what he’s about to do, say or release. The summary of the phone call with the President of Ukraine shows clearly who Trump really is; you scratch my back, I’ll scratch yours. He imposes quid pro quo in everything he does. How can he possibly say there isn’t a transaction in just about every action he takes? Why did he release the transcript? Why?

When the whistleblower complaint was given to the Justice Department, they decided that there was nothing criminal about what took place with the Ukrainian President, but Trump felt a need for them to investigate this matter. Trump has Attorney General William Barr to protect him, but in this case Barr’s name was brought up on the call as the Donald asked a favor from the new President of Ukraine. Trump urged Ukraine to work with Rudy Giuliani and William Barr. So, why wouldn’t William Barr rescue himself from the decision to release the whistleblower complaint to Congress or determining whether criminal activity was done by the White House? Well, it’s because Trump paid the judge; he owns him. If William Barr doesn’t recuse himself, he should be impeached as well.

Trump has asked the DOJ to rescue the newest Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. I’m not sure why Brett would need to be rescued from the authors of a book about him, but Trump seems to think the government has a right to ignore the First Amendment. If Trump fought as hard for the First Amendment as he does for the Second Amendment, he would be a much better president.

You can read the transcript (PDF below). It’s easy to see the consistent manner of Donald Trump and his continual asking for the order. Trump says, “I would like to ask you for a favor.” And there you have it. This is who our President is, and his Attorney General stopped any probe into this matter after receiving a complaint from a whistleblower. Our nation needs to be rescued from this trash dumpster fire.

Let’s focus on some important matters. Some of this should be dealt with by lawmakers. The personal lawyer of the president should never be acting as an agent for the administration. The State Department is complicit in Trump’s use of a personal attorney to do his bidding in a foreign country. That should be against the law.

As for the whistleblower law, it needs to be strengthened so that the executive branch shouldn’t be able to block a complaint that is supposed to go to the proper congressional committees. We need a penalty for any action that deters communication of whistleblower reports.

Donald Trump attempted to use the judicial system of another country to get dirt about his political opponent. Trump stopped the military aid that was going to the country in normal order before he made the call to the President of Ukraine. His attention on the call appears to be more about an investigation into Joe Biden and his son rather than helping an ally. And when the president was challenged by Congressional leaders about that aid, he released the transcript of the call. So, Trump is at least guilty of game playing or at most committing treason by interfering with our next election.

When the US Senate voted 100 to 0 and to pass a non-binding resolution that urged the White House to release the full Inspector General’s whistleblower complaint document, there is a consensus that something is rotten in Washington, D.C. And as the day ended on Wednesday, September 25, 2019, the whistleblower complaint was delivered to Congress, and was rumored to be declassified and released the next day. Will this time reasonable minds learn the truth?

Donald Trump is in the autumn of his presidency. As the colder winter winds start to blow through the streets of our nation’s capital, those who attempt to keep the leader warm in his lies and misrepresentations just might be damaged by association. And we will get through this crisis, even if Trump’s game ends. The more aware voters will see through the trumped-up charges that our president is attempting to foist on America, while those in the rapture of Trumpism become even more hypnotized into submission. Those who believe every lie and every excuse are the ones who need to be rescued from their ignorance.

We don’t determine who gets a GUN. We aren’t sure if we have paramilitary groups ready to storm the White House or a White Castle. There is no control of weapons. The GOOFBALLS with the power constantly try to manipulate us into spending more money on bombs and tanks and wars. FREE FOOD FRIDAY

What’s More Fun Than Freedom?

Screw all of you goofball politicians, lying narcissists and half-baked barkers. You want to make the world a better place? Then put your money where my mouth is. There, I said it. Stop with all of your thinly veiled, bullshit proposals and do something remarkable.

I used to work for a New York software company. One of the problems facing any firm in that place is getting people to work on a Friday. So, the owners instituted what became known as Free Food Friday. Guess what? It worked! People showed up at the office and stood in line to get themselves fed. It made the company feel more like a family. Of course, when new bosses took over the first thing they did was eliminate that cost.

I hear some of the Democratic politicians saying they will figure out how to eliminate college debt and make higher-education FREE! I am sure that “free college” has a ring to it, but once Donald Trump gets his little sweaty hands on their idea he will slap the flimsy label of “socialism” on it, just as he does for anything that is “free.” Of course, all the mindless followers of the Orange Goddess of New York will get in line, lock step with the Führer.

Donald Trump and Boris Johnson are two guys who believe their shit doesn’t stink, but here in the grandstand we all can smell their putrid ideas. No one wants to live in a bad world, but what would make a better world? Short of a death by a thousand sharpies, how about buzz-haircuts for those two loathing assholes in power?

Let’s end the week on a bright note, with some proposals that just might move the world along a bit.

First, here’s a rather Darwinian suggestion of FREE TRADE. It Trump believes that America is so great, why does he insist on using the power of government to manipulate world markets? So far he’s created only chaos and uncertainty. How is that a good idea for anyone? Or is this just another move to put more money in his pocket?

We have soybeans. Why not sell them to the Chinese and forget about tariffs? Move the product. Make the money. Stop getting in the way of capitalism. Tariffs aren’t part of capitalism; they are the creation of protectionist fear mongers. Always have been. There isn’t much difference between a “trade war” and a real war. Sure, fewer people die but more people go broke in a trade war. How is that good for the world or our farmers?

Next, what about FREE FOOD and FREE MONEY? If each country was asked to contribute a certain percentage of their gross national product to a world hunger fund, we could feed all the starving people in the world. Look what happens when a natural disaster like a hurricane hits a place. Food gets delivered on planes. Ever wonder how that food gets there? Non-government organizations mobilize and deliver the much need supplies. Isn’t hunger a natural, human disaster? I can already hear Mr. Trump screaming about America First. Well fuck you Mr. empty suit with your face full of man tan. People are starving in America, so feed them first!

On the surface, the concept of FREE MONEY sounds communistic, but isn’t that what we do with our tax system? We take money from all the people, unfairly collected of course, and then we give that money back in the form of services and roads, etc. BUT if the people kept all their money, they surely wouldn’t just stash it in their mattresses; they would spend it. Let them have all the money they make and then watch their big smiles. Screw taxation. It’s had its chance and it’s not working. No one is getting rich except Donald Trump and Nancy Pelosi.

It’s not FREE COLLEGE that matters. It’s demanding that the educational system knows who should go to college and who should go right into training programs. Stop with this pie-in-the-sky idea that everyone will become a doctor or lawyer. Quit bribing universities to let your brain-dead offspring push someone who could really make a difference off the acceptance lists. If you have enough money to buy your way into a college, your kids don’t need that education anyway. Make education work by putting more money into the process.

We saw what a generation did with FREE LOVE. Well maybe a little more “free love” and a little less cable news would be the cure for what divides us. I never met a horny Republican who didn’t want the same thing that I wanted after a night of hard partying. Why are we letting Donald Trump fuck us? He’s a total loser who spends his time saying negative things while getting everything in his life for free.

Maybe in the end, the Donald will get FREE FOOD from one of our “higher” educational institutions. You know, those with names like, Allenwood, Leavenworth, Lompoc, or since he seems to hate California so much, maybe he could matriculate at Victorville. I’m willing to bet that being on a federally mandated diet of mushy food will help his ever-expanding waistline. The good news, Donald, is you will no longer have the evil free press to point out what a frail and miserable liar you are. Oh, you might get that occasional Dateline-type reporter coming to interview you about prison reform, and then you can go on and on about how unfairly you were treated. And you’ll be able to complain about how bad the food is and share the latest conspiracy theories from the white supremist gang in prison. You could even get a free tear tattoo on your cheek. Perhaps then we’ll all be able to rest knowing there is justice in America and we all are finally FREE of you.

RENOUNCE THE DEVIL NOW

When Does America Unite Against Hate?

The headline is always the same and the faux concern by the bubbled-headed blonde on TV is well-rehearsed. We can brag about how “great America is again,” but the people who make the laws are complicit. And I am going to say it as clearly as I can, DONALD TRUMP IS STOKING HATE. 80% of everything President Trump says or tweets is negative and some of it is downright hateful. The cable TV news networks spent hours over the last weekend attempting to either determine what is racist or defending racism. By the time we got to Sunday, it happened again. A lunatic with a gun acted on his hate.

A 6-year-old boy, a 13-year-old girl and a man in his 20s were killed at the Gilroy Garlic Festival in California when a gunman opened fire with an assault-type rifle. And as part of our tradition, we learned the weapon was an AK-47-style rifle that was purchased legally by the gunman in Nevada. Move on, nothing to see here. It’s all legal.

CNN identified the 19-year-old suspect as Santino William Legan. Oh yeah, the alleged gunman also injured at least 12 others before he was fatally shot by three officers who responded within a minute of the gunfire’s beginning. And despite the locals’ bragging about the quick response time, people died. The alleged gunman cut through the fence in order to avoid security and start his rampage.

We also have the recent ritual of “what we’ve learned about the shooter.” His Instagram posts contained a picture of people at the festival and a mention of a white supremacist book. Oh great, now we understand that he just hates people and wanted to kill them. What the fuck kind of country are we that we can’t open our eyes to the problem here?

As long as Donald Trump is president, things are going to get worse. We know the KKK endorses Trump. David Duke, the former Ku Klux Klan Grand Wizard, said it was ridiculous to condemn Trump. “If he disavows me fine. Let him do whatever he thinks he needs to do to become president of the United States.” In other words, the end justifies the means. The terrorist in New Zealand who killed 51 people at a mosque said that he supports US President Donald Trump as “a symbol of renewed white identity and common purpose.” And I keep hearing people on TV comparing Donald Trump to Southern presidential wannabe George Wallace, a known racist and Klan supporter from our dark past. It’s 2019 and that’s not a giant red light?

When Trump was running for President, Republican Congressman Pete King told The Daily Beast in a statement, “Donald Trump’s refusal to denounce and disavow support from KKK supporter David Duke and white supremacist organizations is indefensible and disgraceful.” But now that Trump has turned up the racism with vile attacks on people of color, where are those Republican leaders? Where are the so-called Christian icons in America? They too have blood on their hands.

When will we as a people unite and fight hate? The greenlight that Trump has given the fringe radicals, racists and neo-Nazis is real. Consider yourself crazy if you ever expect Trump to admit that this is part of his plan. He spent too many nights reading Hitler’s speeches not to have a little of that good old white nationalism rub off on him. Or perhaps Donald Trump is simply too stupid to comprehend how his words promote the hate into the shootings that are taking place.

Trump’s sick calculation is thinking he can divide black against white, urban against rural, devout against agnostic and rich against poor. He believes the disgruntled people on both sides will propel him to a win in 2020. His political intimidation within his own party has poisoned the Congress, the Supreme Court and the Justice Department. He has convinced many people that he’s the winner so they will stick with him. His wrath has brought several prominent politicians to their knees, while others just walked away from Trump’s stupid game of political in-fighting.

Here’s a simple test. Ask each of those maniacs who took a gun against innocent people if they were influenced at all by Donald Trump. Let’s uncover the motivations of those who do such dastardly things. Maybe someone could then bring a wrongful death suit against the perpetrator’s estate, claiming Donald Trump’s words as the impetus. It would be like going after the person who screams “fire” in a theatre when there is no fire. People are getting killed here, and someone is yelling negatives toward people of color in America. And we all know who he is.

Oh, you can be a loyal little soldier and claim that it’s ridiculous to blame Donald Trump, the person who looks to blame others in every situation he encounters. Sure, you can say that the other person is the problem, when the one person who is stirring up hate is the President of the United States. The KKK, white Nationalists and racists can take the day off, because the head cheerleader for their cause is the very President they adore. Trump just thinks that he’s getting away with another con job. I will always contend that Trump’s got a large hunk of hate in heart and should get a mega share of the blame for the steep increase of hate crimes in America. Eventually you will see I am right, once Trump leaves office and people begin to learn the truth. Hate begets hate.

If you are interested in seeing statistics on Hate Crimes from the Department of Justice, look here.

BULLY IN THE BACKYARD

The Mental Makeup of Trump

I like to sit on the back porch and watch how birds deal with one another. We have an ample supply of flowers and birdfeeders filled with both seeds and hummingbird nectar. Big blackbirds and crows will occasionally come around and make all the little birds fly away. Blue jays zooming down from Canada can be quite violent toward the other birds, whereas most of the songbirds live peacefully and share.

Now that brings us to the hummingbirds. They are rather remarkable little creatures. Unless you take a photo of them, or they smash themselves against glass windows, you don’t realize they are just birds with wings that move 53 beats per second in normal flight and can travel up to 50 mph; not bad for something that weighs less than an ounce. But what is most amazing, is how territorial they are.

Even when there is plentiful sugar-water and flowers, a hummingbird will chase away all others within their field of vision. Their Top Gun like maneuvers are remarkable and probably studied by fighter jet pilots. We know that their protection of food is a built-in survival mechanism that makes them want all for themselves. We know that they don’t think it through, much as what often exists in the domain of men and women.

That brings us to Donald Trump and the over-analysis of his quick moves, darting from subject to subject and not being consistent in any medium he deploys. Twitter Donald is the politician and rally speaker. Teleprompter Donald becomes serious and attempts to make points in a formal setting. Now we must add Tarmac Trump, who stands on the asphalt outside the White House, screaming to the press over the whining helicopters. This is tantamount to a dog pissing on his territory before he leaves to wreak havoc somewhere else. It’s a strategy to keep authority, to swat away critics and people he perceives who hold power over him.

Trump held another self-aggrandizing ego booster last night in North Carolina. It took only seconds for the hashtag #SendHerBack to light up the twitter-sphere and create a crazy hum. Both sides of the issue, or shall we say the campaign of personality-besmirching, were ignited. Soon, #IStandWithIlhan appeared from those who wanted to bash Donald Trump, who sees this president thing as a platform for his narcissism. In his mind, that goal is far more important than anything else in the United States. It’s all legal battles, conflicts and drama. He truly thinks his duty is to manufacturer press coverage, just like he did as a young stud in New York hanging out with Jeffrey Epstein. He’s engaged in his “brand,” not the business of America.

The parallels between Trump’s actions and those of most totalitarians, tyrants and tormentors of democracy is fearfully obvious. The remedy that our founders established was a balance between the three branches of government. We can rely, for a bit longer we hope, on the sanctity of the Judiciary. But even that could be eroded by appointments of too many ideologs. We can see clearly that Trump has hijacked the most respected names in Congress. The Republican party is now filled with so many people who believe more in Trump than the feelings of the constituents they were elected to serve. They are not doing their duty to protect the Constitution. The Executive Branch, which we must remind our readers includes the Department of Justice, is in the hands of a neophyte of epic proportions. It’s utterly embarrassing that a career professional must explain the law to Donald Trump every time he proposes something stupid.

I’m not sure why the framers put the Justice Department under the president, but it’s too late now. Even the least studied legal minds can see that William Barr, as Attorney General, is part of Trump’s plan to control more and consolidate power. Barr is not the A.G., he’s a P.O., Political Operative — no respect, tainted legacy.

Trump will attack anyone who disagrees with him. Trump will lie to win any argument. Trump has no interest in any constructive dissent and will punish or push anyone who gets in his way. Today’s analogy shows the hummingbird’s need to constantly feed to power those wings in flight. This brings up an important calculation. How much food can the little bird take on before it must fly back to the nest and feed the kids? If the hummingbird takes too much from the feeder, it will be too heavy to fly. When a man takes on too much power, he might get quite full of himself and become unable to fight off the other hummingbirds. Then, someone lighter, faster and more cunning might disrupt their feeding frenzy.

Trump may want to paint the four women of color in Congress as un-American, but what many Hispanics, African Americans, Asians and Middle Easterners, who make up a large percentage of voters in America think is that TRUMP HATES THEM. That could spell the end of the Republican party in ten years. None of those goofballs in Congress care about the future, they are focused only on the next election. They will let Trump play with racism because deep down inside there’s a little bit of racism in each of them. 87% of Republicans in the House are white men and some have either sought or got support from white supremacists.  Google: Steve King, Steve Scalise. If you cannot call out racism, you become complicit in hate. Ask the Christian Germans of the 1930s about their silence.

Within all the pundits and self-proclaimed experts, there should be at least a few smart enough to know that Trump is making this all up as he goes along. He has no forethought of which ideas or tweets may royally backfire on him. He has no concept about how little things have determined so much in the history of political processes. Take the King of France, Louis XVI; he was executed for treason by guillotine in 1793 because of the abuse of his abundant power. People remember bad guys.

It might be unwise to challenge young minds in Congress, but for Donald Trump it’s just one day at a time. He, like the hummingbird, doesn’t remember what happened yesterday. And without logic, a firm memory, or object permanence, he will attack another bird, even if it looks like him. What would the little Donald bird do if attacked from the right? He would attack his own philosophies and kill the very brand he created. Without a doubt, Donald J. Trump is a racist. So, what are you going to do about it?
