WHAT’S WRONG WITH DONALD TRUMP?

The Real Challenge for America

A friend recently asked, “Why do you post negative things about our President every day?” After thoughtfully considering the question, I answered, “I truly believe that he is bad for America.” And, of course, I had a stronger argument. The goal isn’t bringing you to my point of view but rather giving you a few things to think about between now and the next time you vote.

President Trump created a humanitarian crisis by demanding Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Homeland Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen apply a “zero tolerance” policy to every person coming across our borders, whether they are seeking asylum or not. This terrible mistake demonstrates a drastic lack of thought and leadership by our President. Donald Trump continues to exploit racism and fear because his singular, perverse need is receiving love from his base supporters. We know that this group consists of maybe 30% of this great land, NOT THE MAJORITY!

Trump’s self-inflicted illusion is he alone can fix things. It’ a lie, just like most of what he says. The Donald manages to put a little piece of shit into everything he does, even his rare good plans. He is incapable of bringing our country together and that is exactly why he’s bad for America. He continually uses hate as a propellant, risking not only a potential fire but, worse, a mighty explosion.

Today, we learned that the White Supremacists who sponsored the rally in Charlottesville, Virginia last year have applied for a permit to rally around the White House this summer. Our Great Orange Leader will do nothing but sit back and laugh and laud the greatness of the First Amendment. Once again, those who want to stop the hate, the put downs and the pejorative attitudes will also have to march that day to match the crown size of the Neo-Nazis and Jew haters. We can only hope no one will get hurt.

And here we find another reason why Donald Trump is bad for America. He waits too long before addressing a real problem. He creates a negative atmosphere then does nothing to calm the waters or lead the country into compromise and betterment. He wastes time and money traveling to his rallies when he should be in the Capital working on challenges and constructive changes.

How do you tell a bullheaded, xenophobic old man that he’s making things worse? We learned this week that Trump believes nothing the polls or the press tell him. He has declared that media is bad and capable only of releasing “fake news.” He fawns over Fox News, but he will simply toss them into the fake news basket if they ever turn on him.

We have learned that his daughter and his wife convinced him to do something, but they are only a temporary relief from his bigoted mind. Watch, he will soon turn back to his in-house racists and fake bureaucratic bastards, John Kelly, Jeff Sessions and Stephen Miller, and follow their advice to fuck the immigrants.

Stephen Miller is the evilest one. I find it astonishing that his family is comprised of Ashkenazi Jews from Eastern Europe.  In the early 1900s his mother’s family emigrated to the United States from Belarus to escape anti-Jewish pogroms in Russia.

The very hate that tore apart Europe and killed millions of Jews in the 1930s is now being replicated by this young man, Stephen Miller. How does a 32-year-old political science major from Duke University become such an anti-immigrant racist? Hard to say, but if I could throw only one person from the White House Stephen Miller would be my pick to hit the road. And the ejection would be covered live on TV.

General John Kelly is a phony. He supposedly came into the White House to organize people and communication and bring order. He’s a failure. Some measure of military order would be good, but he has no power over Donald Trump. Kelly, hardened by his service and with roots in the reverse racism of the Irish-American community of Boston, will not serve his country well. He should retire and have a nice life.

Jeff Sessions has always been a typical old-school southerner who relishes a good “Negro joke” among close friends. He climbed the judicial power ladder with his short legs, while posing as a law and order guy for his own purposes. When a kid has their father’s name, it provides a built-in reason to look backward. Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III is probably no more liberal than his father, or his father’s father.

Each generation has a reason for rejecting progress. Alabama doesn’t allow a lottery, much less pharmaceutical marijuana. But rather than focus on Jeff Sessions’ home state, just look at his policies. They are further to the right than Donald Trump’s. Sessions just locked up innocent kids. And when people talk about how well those children are existing in their Wal-Mart prisons, our government pushes the same scripts old newsreels used to explain Japanese interment camps. Who are we?

The most important aspect of Donald Trump’s caving to pressure by signing an executive order is that he was able to slip a little piece of shit into his decree. Here is the turd-burger the President added to his order, “The Attorney General shall promptly file a request with the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California to modify the Settlement Agreement in Flores v. Sessions, CV 85-4544 (“Flores settlement”), in a manner that would permit the Secretary, under present resource constraints, to detain alien families together throughout the pendency of criminal proceedings for improper entry or any removal or other immigration proceedings.”

The executive order is a trojan horse. Jeff Session is being asked to petition the court to relax the Flores decision, which would mean the children of undocumented border crossers and those who “broke the law” (the parents) can be held INDEFINATELY. With a stroke of his big, fat felt-tipped pen, our lunatic President has created his own private Gitmo within our borders.

Under the present Flores agreement, immigrant children can be held for only twenty days. A minor cannot be charged for crimes committed by a parent, but incarceration with a parent is tantamount to being held without a charge. Imprisonment without due process is against the law on American soil, as stated in our Constitution.

When Trump cries about our laws being so bad, he is railing against the Constitution itself. His treasonous propaganda shows no respect for law. We cannot sit back and let him do this. In the end, the law will have the final say and the Sergeant of Arms will come to the White House and remove Donald J. Trump from office. That perp walk will make America great again.

LEAKS & LIES & LOOSE LIPS

Trump Wants to Help Chinese Workers?

We have seen it all now. Our Great Orange Leader has no problem putting people down or saying horrible things about them and that modus operandi has dripped into others in the Swamp House at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. What these immature Trump lackies don’t understand is that anything and everything said on the reality TV show known as the Trump administration will be revealed. Who is doing this?

High polarity in a workplace naturally brings high drama. Some people think they are being funny because they are under the illusion that Trump himself is pleased by sarcasm and humor. Full disclosure here; I have never laughed at anything Donald J. Trump has said. His humor is the worst kind of Dad humor, not funny and, at its best, teetering only on corny.

Yesterday (5-14-2018), the Donald tweeted out what appears to be a joke, “President Xi of China, and I, are working together to give massive Chinese phone company, ZTE, a way to get back into business, fast. Too many jobs in China lost. Commerce Department has been instructed to get it done!”

Now had this been a hack, I could understand it. But what our President is now saying our country is supposed to help a Chinese company, ZTE, because China has lost too many jobs. After telling us that China has raped us, has taken advantage of America and has even been a currency manipulator, Trump now wants to put China First on this issue. This is freaking outrageous.

It appears to be okay for a staff member of the White House to malign an American hero as he walks the last mile of his life. There was already a pattern established by Trump saying that John McCain’s P.O.W status did not make him a hero. Now we can just spit on a dying man and walk away with a clear conscience? Who are these people? They are more concerned about leaking co-workers than the pain they dish out.

The reason people leak conversations after meetings and confabs is because Trump himself leaks every night during his reassuring phone calls with rich people. The Donald doesn’t even realize that “leaking” is a sport in D.C. which the cunning use to step over people and speak truth to power. Unfortunately, with the Trump administration very little truth comes out, so speaking honestly is the duty of the free press, as it should be.

Through the “genius” of Trump’s personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani, we learned over the weekend that Trump himself ordered the Justice Department to stop the Time Warner – AT&T merger. Then, quickly, we got a correction. Trump had nothing to do with DOJ suit against the merger. The flip-flops and self-inflicted wounds of this President result from the lack of discussion and thought that normally goes into presidential speech.

With so many lies blasting out of this White House, it’s hard to know if even the leaks are based on facts. The many loose lips in that swampland guarantee that the only consistent reality of this show will be employee turnover. People will constantly be fired and sent away because those government employees’ only power is to be wined and dined by the press. It’s like taking candy from a baby. They are either disgruntled, or simply amused, at seeing their words under the cloak of an unnamed source.

It will be interesting to hear the justification Team Trump will bring out of the oven on this save- a-Chinese-company decree from President Goofball. We have workers here in the U.S.A. who desperately need jobs, so would someone please tell me why are we going to savage a tech giant in China? Does the Chinese President Xi have a vested interest in this company? We will never know. There is little transparency in a “communist” country.

If Donald Trump really believes anyone is going to buy this radical move, he’s crazy. If the people in his base let him give jobs to China before getting our unemployment down to zero percent, he’s abandoning one of his basic campaign promises about why he would be a good president. Do his followers even understand what he is attempting to pull off? He’s reneging on a PROMISE.

Trump is susceptible to doing things which he thinks will please his friends, rather working for the benefit of all Americans. This could be the true test of whether Russia has a grip on Trump and whether he’s a little afraid. China could financially crush us by calling in all the loans. Maybe in his personal business circle our President is afraid of Russia demanding repayments of the loans to Eric, Don, Jr. and the Trump Enterprises?

If I was all powerful, the leakers, the liars and all the loose lips would be expelled from the White House. That would include the main leaker.

ONE TRICK TRUMP

He’s Never Going to Stop Running

Back in the early days of William Randolph Hearst, he used his newspapers to pick winners and demean people he didn’t like. This became glorified by the term Yellow Journalism; presenting little or no legitimate well-researched news but rather using eye-catching headlines, exaggerated news events, scandal-mongering and sensationalism for increased newspaper sales.

Today, the implication of the opposite is the term “Fake News,” which is the slogan people in power now use to denigrate the news media they do not agree with or to slam stories they want the journalists to ignore. We see Trump playing this one trick when in the three-ringed circus of the campaign trail. If Trump keeps pitching for President, he will never convince any thinking person that he is a “real” president.

Steve Mnuchin told Chuck Todd that one cannot take things the President says at a campaign rally too seriously. Mnuchin bristled when Todd suggested that the press should maybe not cover these rally events. Todd failed to mention in this discourse with the Secretary of the Treasury what Trump said in Pittsburgh the night before. Speaking about NBC’s “Meet the Press, a show now headed by Sleepy-Eyes Chuck Todd. He is a sleeping son-of-a-bitch, I’ll tell you!”

There are some who say, “Oh, this is Trump being Trump,” while others are quick to criticize the President no matter what he says. His jokes are mean spirited and negative. What is really at stake is the presidency as a respected part of American culture. We have a clown with a face full of makeup, sniffling his way through speeches with either a teleprompter to make him seem normal, or endless, unguarded extemporaneous political babbling and childish putdowns that make him a small man exploiting his power without regard for leadership qualities.

Trump’s disregard for the spirit of the First Amendment is part of this one trick pony he rides. His censure of the press in general terms is an attempt to dismiss any controversy, misstep or criminal activity in his administration. He hangs on the phrase “No Collusion” like a man who has something to hide.

The First Amendment must be protected from Trump’s rhetoric and quest to weaken a free press. His demigod approach to the executive branch of the government needs to be checked at every step. His little moves will add up and must be analyzed by a free press.

Trump’s Sunday morning, tweets instead of Church “executive time” gave us this: “The Failing New York Times purposely wrote a false story stating that I am unhappy with my legal team on the Russia case and am going to add another lawyer to help out. Wrong. I am VERY happy with my lawyers, John Dowd, Ty Cobb and Jay Sekulow. They are doing a great job and have shown conclusively that there was no Collusion with Russia… just excuse for losing. The only Collusion was that done by the DNC, the Democrats and Crooked Hillary. The writer of the story, Maggie Haberman, a Hillary flunky, knows nothing about me and is not given access.”

The fact that Trump cannot let go of this issue shows that he doesn’t believe in his innocence. Like many people with a “martyr” complex, the Donald has a need to constantly slam the past. He positions himself against those who came before to get “credit” for anything good that happens, while taking no responsibility for anything his team may have done that didn’t work or, worse, was illegal. He seems to be worried more about historical positioning the future and comparisons with the past.

Trump may not even realize that he shows signs of being a white nationalist apologizer. Perhaps he is not smart enough to realize that his messaging makes it seem like being black in America equals guilt. Most importantly, his ideological way of viewing everything from trade to the environment to the legal system will have to repaired by the next president. Trump has clearly made America less great. I would advance that Donald J. Trump has hurt America with his ignorance and bad judgment.

This President of the United States is a bad role model for our children. His need to debase people and spread hate diminishes the advancements we have made as a society. Donald Trump is the prime cause of our national divide. His lack of desire or ability to bring people together is a fact right there for everyone to see. Some, however, want to believe what they require to believe. They have joined the lie and are complicit. When the money they think they are going to get doesn’t arrive, who will they blame then? Trump will be long gone.

ABSOLUTELY NO COLLUSION

Trump’s Redundant Refrain

There is a theory that if you say something over and over, you tend to believe that it’s true, even if it isn’t. On the other side of that coin, there are many who believe that people never change. While the microanalysis of Donald Trump is taking place, there are those people who are watching for some sign of change, a pivot of sorts.

During the bi-partisan meeting the other day in the Cabinet room of the White House, the naïve newscasters and junk journalists were fooled once again with the President’s confusing presentation. At times Trump seemed to sound a bit Democrat, even saying that a separate “clean” DACA bill could happen. After push back from Republican attendees, Trump followed up with a tweet to “clarify” his positions. This dingbat cannot present a clear and focused message outside of a slogan.

And in a press conference yesterday (1-10-2018), our Great Orange Leader said there was “absolutely no collusion” seven times in ninety-seconds. He also redefined the suggestion of sitting down with Robert Mueller to talk about Russian interference in the 2016 Presidential election. He seems to think the investigation is coming to an end and if he just keeps repeating his mantra, “absolutely no collusion” that this “hoax” or “witch hunt” will go away. He has purchased the upper class with his tax cut and soaring stock market, while removing the pillars of freedom that have made America great.

In a recent poll conducted by Morning Consult + Politico, 48% of the 1,988 respondents said Trump being exonerated by the end of 2018 was either very or somewhat likely. 37% saw that outcome as being not too likely or not at all likely and under one-third foresaw Trump leaving office before 2018 ends. So, it seems as if the trashing of Mueller’s team by the Alt-Right and Conservative media is working. The Republican Congress is also complicit in this muddying of the waters. But, as we all learned, statistics derived from samples the size of a large Baptist church don’t always get it right. Trump sees only positive numbers and discounts anything that shows him failing. So, why even undertake research on this dense humanoid with a bad combover?

The Donald is focused on a narrow strip of land, much like the kind on which his castle in Florida is built, to defend himself in the matter of the Russian investigation. There seems to be something hardwired in his mind that says all and any investigation into a foreign government lessens his win in the election. He cannot intellectually separate influence peddling and mass social media interference in our electoral process with his own self-image and legitimacy as a President. He and his Justice Department have done nothing to assure us it won’t happen again. He’s foolish to think that Russia will always be on his side. They could turn on him in a New York minute.

Just as Nixon kept saying, “I am not a crook,” Trump truly believes if he keeps saying the words, “absolutely no collusion,” that all this will go away. His top shelf lawyers encourage this illusion to keep him from losing it on camera and saying something that will surely sink his ship. Trump will get the accolade of being the worst client ever.

From this Website we find an entry written by Gerald N. Hill and Kathleen T. Hill saying that collusion in business happens when two persons (or business entities through their officers or other employees) enter into a deceitful agreement, usually secret, to defraud and/or gain an unfair advantage over a third party, competitors, consumers or those with whom they are negotiating.

President Trump’s claim that no one in his campaign talked to any Russians is untrue. When he says there was no collusion, he must have forgotten the meeting between his campaign manager, his son-in-law and his son Don Jr. Until the press revealed the meeting at Trump Tower, it was secret and there was an opportunity to game an advantage over a competitor. And, to make this much richer, it was with agents of a foreign nation. Was there a deceitful agreement? To use Trump’s own words, “Time will tell.”

He also raised the specter of changing the libel laws so that he could stop what he calls false and libelous statements from writers and broadcasters who “sit there and smile while money is pouring in their bank accounts.” Does this pumpkin understand that the first person to get attacked would be Donald Trump himself? He says libelous untruths that lower stock prices for a company he attacks. Imagine if the legal system punished someone who was “exercising” their First Amendment rights? The British system might be good for a country with a Queen, but doesn’t work in a Country without a King.

Notice Donald Trump’s body language when someone disagrees with him or he feels uptight. He crosses his arms across his chest, giving himself a giant hug so he can feel confident. He uses the phrase, “believe me” more than someone who is sure of what they are saying. The implication of the opposite drips from so many of the things he says and history will record the phrase, “absolutely no collusion,” as one of his more blatant lies.

We all want the investigations into Trump and his court of enablers and family members to end as soon as possible. Americans have no patience and we want to know that our country is in the hands of a responsible adult. We cannot trust Republicans, they are biased bastards. The Democrats are focused on repaying the Republicans for what they did to Obama and taking a page out of the Newt Gingrich playbook. Sad, but true.

The idea that our President can govern with any kind of fair and just comprehension of anyone outside of his base is lost. Mike Pence would not make a good president, but he would be controllable by a logical Congress. Collusion is a funny word. Trump is not a funny human being. He’s just a giant mistake.

THE HEAD COMPLAINER

Trump’s Mar-A-Largo Boredom

I love when people say, “It’s time to take off the gloves!” as if punching someone with your bare knuckles would do more damage to the person you are fighting. The real result of punching with no gloves is damage to your own hands. But in the spirit of over-using the cliché, maybe this year I will take the gloves off.

First, this low-life con man, who the manipulated masses elected to the most important office in the land, keeps forcing himself into every conversation at the New Year’s Eve party. I didn’t invite this person to attend my party and I wish he would shut up and go home.

I don’t give a rat’s ass how much golf the douche bag plays, but I am increasing irritated by his constant stream of negativity. “No wall, No DACA!” comes right after Trump tweeted about bi-partisanship in the New Year. We get it asshole, you want a freaking wall to compensate for some limp, failing body part.

He keeps pressing himself and longing for attention, like a spoiled-little brat who was deprived of his mother’s breasts and constantly craved his father’s attention. Just as the year was ending, he complained about the Post Office not charging Amazon enough to deliver their packages on the weekend. What a dipshit! He doesn’t realize that thousands of postal workers earn overtime to work those packages. What does he want the Post Office to do, give the business back to FedEx and UPS? CNN, yes, CNN, did a great job analyzing this latest blunder by Trump in this article. Donald J. Trump is one of the most unqualified, ill-equipped and naïve people we have ever elected President.

He tries to pump his low numbers in the polls by quoting a one-off that showed him with a decent score. He continually slams Fake News and seems to lack the ability to relax and enjoy his family during the holidays. And then, while millions of Americans are suffering through some of the coldest temperatures in decades, he tweets that the country could use some global warming. His modicum of knowledge of anything science-oriented embarrasses the citizens of this great nation and makes them feel worse, not better. If confronted, he will say that he was just kidding. The joke is on you, bozo. The sea level in West Palm Beach is expected to rise five to six feet and maybe Trump will live long enough to see Mar-a-Largo under water.

He throws a bone to The New York Times, the newspaper he seems to hate the most, with what the Times termed a rambling monologue. You don’t need to ask him any questions, simply turn on the mic or camera and let this idiot babble.

The Donald is like a circus monkey; throw a peanut and sit back and watch him do tricks. He relentlessly rambles and violently vomits his vile viewpoints and reconstructed truths, commonly known as lies. He made sure he worked in “there was no collusion” more than sixteen times. This baboon is more worried about dissing the dossier than making any sense. He is the walking, talking embodiment of the “implication of the opposite,” not comprehending that the more he denies the more it seems like he is guilty.

He blamed China of violating the sanctions against North Korea and claimed he “caught them RED HANDED” without any awareness of the pun or the accuracy of the accusation. What a dickhead to say on Twitter that China was in violation of an international order, when he is attempting to work with them. Why wouldn’t he simply pick up the phone and call their leader to discuss? Their government sent a message that they are not in violation and take the UN agreement very seriously. Another horrible glitch in the rancid brain of the “leader” of the free world.

There are a lot of people who don’t want to talk about impeachment because they can’t see a high crime or misdemeanor being committed here, but what about a lack of judgement and putting the country into a threatened position? This great Orange Leader isn’t taken seriously by the competent world leaders, and those with direct contact know that he is a liar.

I have said from the beginning that Donald Trump should be impeached for lying. And that I truly believe that the founding fathers assumed that the President of the United States of America would tell the truth to the people of this land. Our current president, with his corpulent orange body, will exploit his position for wealth and power until most of the voters stand up and force this fraud from his position. We need to rid ourselves of this whinny complainer and get on to better things. If he wants to know why he isn’t doing better in the polls, it’s because he always seems to have to put down someone. He’s slowly running out of “someones” to put down.

THE WORST YEAR FOR AMERICA

Trump Never Ceases to Embarrass

As we end this glorious year, a quick look back from the insanity of last year’s presidential campaign, that blossomed into a full-blown theater of the absurd this year, can give us no warm feelings. 32-35% of America think the great Orange Leader is doing a good job, while at least 65% disapprove of his governance. I contend that 20-25% of those who dislike his work also do not like him as a person.

People are full of distrust. According to the most recent figures from Gallup, approval of Congress is at 16 percent. Clearly, the voters have a low respect for the current leader of the free world and less regard for those who we elected to represent us. Why is this?

When President Trump speaks, he doesn’t focus on the positive. He always has to put-down, slam or berate someone or something. This leads to a net result of cynicism and negative reinforcement. It’s almost as if a victory for Trump isn’t significant unless someone else can be bullied and trashed as the loser. Trump has no ability to accept any criticism and can never admit that he may have been wrong. His most repulsive habit is his demand for righteousness.

It’s fitting that we write our last missive of this year on the shortest day of the calendar, for the darkness cannot come quick enough for this writer. We wait for that time when we can stagger back into the cave and attempt to forget about this notorious coward and his ghastly offense to our nation. There was not one day this year when I didn’t feel embarrassed that we have him as our President.

Deep down inside, I don’t want to find out that there was some conspiracy to fix the election with the Russians. That would only make me more nauseous and depressed. That anyone would collaborate, or even collude, with a foreign power against other Americans makes my stomach knot. I hope they find out that the current president was not involved in such an immoral mission. We don’t need a “pussy grabber” in the White House, but worse, we must never have a traitor in our midst.

Yes, colluding or collaborating or even scheming with the enemy should, without a doubt, be grounds for imprisonment and even execution. But we don’t do that in America. We could never admit that Richard Nixon, a felon of demonic stature, should serve one day in jail because we don’t imprison our politicians. We can shame them out of office, with some getting their pensions, but we never haul them off in a paddy wagon to rot in a jail. We save those spaces for drug addicts and those who have committed high crime and misdemeanors of another nature. You know, minorities and ingrates.

But there is a reason we have a two-party system, not birthed by the Declaration of Independence, or the Bill of Rights or the Constitution, but born in the houses of Congress to slow down major decisions. Yes, when we complain about how slow Congress is we are only applying what seems like a proper timeline for today’s frantic lifestyle, not how the system was designed.

It took 11 months for the Donald to get his big tax cut. Had he outlined it in detail and wrote it himself, he could have sped up the process but, rightfully, someone reminded him that it wasn’t his job to write a bill. And there isn’t an expert worth his salt in America who doesn’t see the 2017 tax legislation for what it is, a double down on the old “trickle down” theory. Giving large tax cuts to corporations and rich people is a medium-term myth that won’t solve the middle-class budget problem fast enough and help those most affected.

Trump cannot seem to win the popular vote or approval. The Russian probe eats away at his credibility. He denies so much which leads many people to ask the question, “What is the truth?” His dismissal of so many members of his team this year speaks to his inability to vet and hire the right people, while his obsessive and abusive use of Twitter to, as he says to communicate with his base and go around the mainstream media, is the exact reason many people are uneasy with his leadership. Some just see him as a mean person.

And it’s only fitting that the first year of Trump ends with a decisive rebuke of this administration yesterday (12-21-2017). Most of the world’s nations denounced Trump’s decree to move the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem, Israel’s capital. Trump intimidated he would stop all aid to any nation that voted against his decision. Ambassadors of the 193-member General Assembly voted 128 to 9, with 35 abstentions, approving a nonbinding resolution demanding that the United States rescind the decision on Jerusalem.

Donald Trump keeps saying that he is making America Great Again and that our country is finally more respected around the world. From NATO, to the Paris Accord, to North Korea, to Russia, to the United Nations, we are NOT more respected. Some nations are laughing at us. Some leaders are scratching their heads. Most nations see Trump for what he is, a moron.

The more powerful and self-reliant countries spin it in a positive way saying that he’s only a temporary annoyance, but any reasoned leader sees our President as a threat to world stability and peace. The more dependent states, who in the past have needed the United States as an “involved parent,” will turn further to religious dogma and dark forces in the world for support and aid. Trump, who has no real knowledge of the Marshall Plan, wants to bulldoze our relationships with other nations. He’s a fool and the whole world sees him as an inflexible American asshole.

CHRISTMAS GIFT & LIES

The Catch 22 in Congress

There is a certain Catch 22 that our Congressional “leaders” now must navigate. For those without pop culture knowledge, a Catch 22 is a dilemma or difficult circumstance from which there is no escape, because of mutually conflicting or dependent conditions. If one votes for something unpopular, it will eventually come back to bite them on the butt.

If you see things only through the eyes of an owner, you’ll never comprehend the heart of the American worker. The working calculus of those who run large corporations is a pretty simple equation. You have either profit or loss. When you have profit, life is good. When you have loss, you are dangerously close to being thrown out. Workers depend on the sound judgement of owners and bosses to keep things running profitably.

Owners are like politicians, they promise their workers a better life, but never at the expense of their own better life. These are facts. Owners always believe that workers should care about the success of the company. Sure, there are righteous bosses out there who judge people on performance and bonus them for good work but other masters succumb to the wishes of the stockholders and investors with little regard for the common worker. Raises are often “cost-of-living” concessions rather than genuine rewards.

And now we have this “giant” tax cut that will supposedly create jobs and increase wages for the masses. At least, that is how it’s been sold to the middle class in America. The theory, once again, is that if the rich and the corporate overlords earn money, they will naturally redistribute the wealth to their underlings. That has been given lip service very many times in the history of the world, but the results never match the words. Rich, fat, white people usually keep the money for themselves.

What the tax bill did, more than anything else, was to attempt a bargain with the large multi-national U.S. corporations to bring back jobs and money to our shores. Why would they trust that the government wouldn’t tax those funds later? The most absurd line used in the tax bill is that the corporate tax cuts are permanent. Ha, when is anything in America permanent?

One of the largest multi-national groups that feeds on the middle class is big pharm. With this “glorious” tax cut came the termination of the mandate in Obamacare. This will probably eliminate millions of health insurance accounts, thus creating a decrease in profits for not only the insurance companies but also for prescription vendors such as Walgreens, CVS and RiteAid. These firms will need to find a way to make up the revenue. Solution? Raise the prices. Thanks Congress.

With the Republican bravado and presidential chest pounding today (12-20-2017), we hear that the Donald’s men in suits want to take a next step with China, Canada and Mexico by imposing as much as a 20% tax on all their products coming into the United States. That means lumber for building houses, goods at Walmart and drugs processed overseas will become more expensive. Those increases will be passed along to the American consumer in the form of higher prices. Thanks, great Orange Leader.

The fantasy that corporations will give employees an across the board wage increase stinks like swamp gas emanating from the cesspool of trickle-down economics. It’s not voodoo economics, it’s demonic treachery on the highest order. First the middle class was sucked in voting for Trump. Now they are being fooled again by the Republican Congress dragging them into the swamp with their money flying out of their pockets.

Even the 2% or less that some people will get back in 2019 cannot be scammed as some major Christmas present for the middle class. Why didn’t they give the middle class a 15% decrease in taxes like they did the corporations? They will tell you that would have increased the debt, but they have already walked away from their conservative mantra of not increasing the debt. This time to the tune of $1.46 Trillion. WTF?

We all know that the original sin of politicians is that they lie. Trump lied when he said this tax cut bill would not be good for him. In fact, the wealthy, like the Trumps, will benefit from this greatly. And, just like Putin, Trump will leave office much richer than when he was when elected. The difference is Putin will never leave. Trump might leave early.

This bill was passed by only Republican hands. I am sure they are proud that they finally got something done, even when many experts have said, this will eventually hurt America. Trump only cares about his people, not all the people. He gave all his rich friends, donors and dingbat CEOs a French kiss for Christmas. The American public got the status quo with clouds forming on the horizon. Get ready for paying more America. You just got screwed again.

After all, Republicans usually spend more than Democrats while cutting social programs. Slashing 40% of the railroad funding won’t make train rides safer, Mr. Trump. Sure, give the money to the rich. They deserve it. They worked so hard.

And to the 13 members of Congress who are in the real estate business, congratulations you low-life scumbags. You think you are doing “the peoples’ work,” when in fact you are simply selfish whores.

THE FULL OF SH*T FACTOR

Trump’s Cage of Crazies

It is clear as we near the one-year mark of Donald Trump’s Presidency, that this has been a most embarrassing ride for most Americans. Some knew if from the start, while others are slowly starting to realize that we made a serious mistake.

Even the President himself doesn’t push back on the notion that chaos is part of his make-up, not the kind he wears, and nothing will ever be “normal” in the White House while he reigns.

Think of this: Mike Flynn, the National Security Adviser was in office for only 25 days, and now he’s plead guilty to lying to the FBI. Reince Priebus Chief of Staff, has left the building. Steve Bannon, Chief Strategist, is out, and wannabe Bannon, Sebastian Gorka, is gone. The rude and crude shorter termer, Anthony Scaramucci, was pounced on and pounded out before getting his first paycheck. Poor little Sean Spicer was thrown to the wind because he was one of the worst liars in the history of the government. Mike Dubke left before we even had a chance to understand what he did.

Then there’s Sally Yates, who was fired because she refused to do Trump’s dirty work. The President had the lack of intelligence to fire the head of the FBI, James Comey, so that the pressure of the Russian investigation would be lifted. His hasty action prompted Comey to testify about his relationship with Trump and motivate the appointment of a Special Counsel to take up the work of getting to the bottom of the Russian probe.

Let’s not forget the firing of Preet Bharara, US attorney in New York, Derek Harvey, Middle East advisor for National Security Council, Katie Walsh, Deputy White House Chief of Staff, Walter Shaub, office of Government Ethics, Michael Short, Press Aide, Tom Price, Secretary of Health & Human Services and now Omarosa Manigault, a Public Liaison Director of Communications. For most observers, Omarosa was nothing but a diversity prop.

Just like the character in his reality TV show, Donald Trump has a horrible record of recruitments and hires. He has no desire to keep anyone from the previous administration, regardless of their experience or expertise. Donald’s lack of patience and concentration constantly leads to misunderstandings, miscommunications and maligned employees. The man is a joke as an executive.

We must face the crushing reality that we will never have a well-oiled administration with our Great Orange Leader. The friction that Trump creates with his Tweets, uninformed opinions, conspiracy theories, harsh treatment of allies and ass-kissing of criminals and dictators will never change. Trump is a flawed, limited human being.

Trump’s cage of crazies is augmented by rich people with an agenda to paper their pockets while they have a chance to manage the money in favor of the wealthy without any serious effort to help the middle class. If this “full of shit factor” has not given you any hope, we understand. But this feckless fake should be motivating you to do something.

What can we do to thwart this maniac’s bad judgement and poor management of our blessed country? America cannot be left in the hands of a Republican majority. Without a major change in the numbers after the 2018 midterm elections, no citizen will have the right to complain about where we find ourselves. We all must act to block this madman’s agenda before he starts another war.

If you think in terms of keeping lunatics out of office, think Alabama. When the gene pool in Congress is devoid of democratic balance, the result is an aberrant, some would say criminal, shift in laws and policies. Congress is supposed to move slowly and apply gravity to make each decision considered and well formed. We can see how fast both the House and Senate moved on the Tax Cuts and Jobs act. They are trying to get what they want pushed through, without the burden of citizen review. Isn’t that taxation without representation?

There are those in Washington, DC who claim that, right after the first of the year, Robert Mueller’s investigation will unfold its big reveal and we will embark on the next season of TRUMP: A White House in Crisis. Will the main character fire more employees and maybe even the top cop in the investigation? Book it.

Will the daughter find out what she is supposed to do beyond redecorating her White House office? Will the son-in-law be able to bring peach in the Middle East in his lifetime? Will the General finally figure out that he has tarnished his reputation forever? Will the world ever regain esteem for America? Stay tuned. The second season must be watched live. The only person binging the series will the be the fat orange man sitting on the toilet with his Android phone in hand.

UNCHARTED TERRITORY

Trump and His Party

The word “rebuke” is a strong stab. This expression of sharp disapproval or criticism was plugged into many headlines today (12-12-2017), to sum up the Doug Jones victory for the vacant Alabama Senate seat. However, there’s much more to this victory than the total number of votes.

First, let us address the corpulent elephant in the room, Donald Trump. This is what he posted on his Twitter feed last night, “Congratulations to Doug Jones on a hard-fought victory. The write-in votes played a very big factor, but a win is a win. The people of Alabama are great, and the Republicans will have another shot at this seat in a very short period of time. It never ends!”

And then after a bad night’s sleep, he continued this morning with, “The reason I originally endorsed Luther Strange (and his numbers went up mightily), is that I said Roy Moore will not be able to win the General Election.  I was right! Roy worked hard but the deck was stacked against him!”

Now I am not a doctor, but I will attempt some arm-chair psychoanalysis here. First of all, the congratulations tweet came rather early in the night. A clear desire to put this to bed before the sleepy presidential numbskull hit the pillow. Even Roy Moore refused to concede the election with a prayer to God to intercede, perhaps a prayer too late?

Trump mentioned the “write-in” votes being a big factor. Yes, as of this writing, there were more than 22,000 unverified write-in votes and clearly people were saying they didn’t like either candidate. Time will tell if those write-in votes were a Republican protest vote or serious concern about Moore’s history of pedophilia.

Trump brushes away the write-in factor with “a win is a win,” as if to say all that matters is winning, even when the other guy wins. Admirable, or is he setting us up? He says people in Alabama are great, and that “the Republicans” will have another shot soon. Gee, is he distancing himself from “the Republicans,” as if he is some external force in their universe? Some of the old-line Republicans wish he was.

And then, this morning, our great Orange Leader clears the air and disavows his involvement in this sordid affair by using the phrase, “I was right!” It takes so much courage to admit that you were right, even though your man lost. He even declares, “I said Roy Moore will not be able to win the General Election.” This is pure Trumpean, or better known in medical circles as anosognosia. This extreme form of denial of the disorder itself is serious, and will eventually cripple this nation and the business of government. Maybe Trump is shooting for a constitutional crisis?

Trump complains to his base with the phrase, “…the deck was stacked against him!”  The President isn’t talking about Roy Moore here, he is lamenting his own predicament. When you collect the language, with “it never ends” and the cards being stacked against him, you can easily see a pattern of self-pity and perhaps a deep, dark, patricidal desire on his part. It’s as if all the enemies in the world are somehow after him and he’s never good enough for his father. He lashes out at anyone who stands in his way in order to prove his father wrong. What was said to this person when he was growing up?

Maybe that is why he likes people like Vladimir Putin and Rodrigo Duterte. They represent tyrants who would take out their own fathers to look better to their admiring fans. They are all narcissists and neurotic Nazi wannabes. They want to march their troops into the city, close all the shops, burn the printing presses and detain the dissenters with their guns and generals. They are on the living room carpet playing with their little plastic soldiers imagining they are the total commanders. And they get to decide what is right and wrong.

Trump was played by Bannon, once again, and they both lost in Alabama. Trump was busy picking a fight with demonic democratic women like Kirsten Gillibrand, who has called for him to resign for grabbing some pussy. Why doesn’t the junior Senator from New York understand that all women are liars. Women cannot be believed. She is just another target; a woman he needs to control so he can feel good about himself.

That is what Roy Moore was saying. It’s the same message. Bannon cannot deal with women, Trump cannot deal with women and many Congressmen would rather not work with women. How many women were invited into the inner circle to help write the healthcare bill? None.

Donald Trump is a horrible leader of a political party. He has that role only because he’s the president. What he really wants to do is sit in the corner with the people who tell him how great he is and eat two large pieces of cake, while they have but one. The Republican party will have to pick up the check.

Last night in Alabama, the party paid the check for something that was not only embarrassing to America, but to the people who were born in Alabama. In the moment, former basketball star and Alabama native Charles Barkley said it best, “This is a wakeup call for Democrats and I’ve told this to Doug Jones and I love Mr. Jones. They’ve taken the black vote and the poor vote for granted for a long time. It’s time for them to get off their ass and start making life better for black voters and for people who are poor. They’ve always had our votes and they abused our votes. But this is a wake-up call for Democrats to do better for black people and poor white people.” A pretty clear message and he used no Twitter page to say it. This was on CNN.

Roy Moore should have never been on the ballot. He’s yesterday’s bigotry. But before we all get stirred up about this one, let’s face some facts.

96% of the African-American vote went to Doug Jones, while only 4% of the minority vote went to Roy Moore. 98% of Black women voted for Doug Jones. But the reality in this special election was that 70% of White women voted for Roy Moore, while 65% of White men went with Moore and he still didn’t win. Why?

This election was less a victory for cross-over voting and more an achievement in high Democrat and African-American turnout. But we have seen this before with Barack Obama. Things were better for people like Judge Roy back when we had slavery, you know, when Black Americans couldn’t vote.

What this does say about our political process is that 60% of the voters stayed home because they weren’t excited about either candidate. That is what determined the outcome. Disinterest is the strongest voter suppression tool in America. Roy Moore intimating that slavery was a “good time” helped motivated those most affected by that sentiment.

Trump can take some of the blame, but only the national marketing blame, because local people don’t care what he says. That is the hardest pill for him to swallow today. Trump is just another politician who thinks putting his weight behind a local candidate means something. The weight he puts on this country, its people and the constitution is more than a bit discomforting. It feels like rape.

Naiveté, Ignorance or Fear

Trump’s Trip to Asia

It is clear to anyone watching or reading about President Donald Trump that the Russian investigation looms large over him. Trump cannot travel around the world without being asked about his relationship with Russian and, specifically, Vladimir Putin. Our leader answers those questions with confused rhetoric instead of providing a simple, clear and concise response.

Donald Trump said he believed Putin’s response to the question of interference in the US election. Trump failed the test of the great deal maker and helped propel responses from former intelligence chiefs and his own team. Former Director of the Central Intelligence Agency, John Brennan, said that Trump was showing his naiveté, ignorance or fear.

There is some part of our great Orange Leader’s brain that compels him to continue repeating a claim, even after he himself has diluted the assertion with doubt. After Trump makes a statement, experts rush in to help clarify his thoughts. He then finds some wiggle room to get out of the lie or create a misrepresentation. Afterward he returns to the original claim, either in his speech or on Twitter. One could say that he has an inability to learn or a huge capacity for telling lies.

In Japan, Trump said that no one ever received the red-carpet treatment that he got. Clearly, the Donald doesn’t know that an Emperor in Japan must be referred to as “His Majesty the Emperor” and that no foreigner would ever get, in terms of ceremony, what the royalty of the country would receive. His comments show total naiveté. He is not as special as he believes and his comments to the contrary display his gross Ignorance on the world stage.

The notion of our president’s fear is an interesting observation, and one that I also hold. When Trump comes face to face with a person of power, he tries to make them like him. He does this in the name of getting things done but, in the long run, it makes people uneasy. As soon as Trump starts talking, he says downright stupid things about his hosts and their country or company. He’s like an abusive father who must denigrate a child to establish his power. In his mind, Trump believes this is love.

There is a bit of naiveté, ignorance and fear in every one of the Trump supporters. I assume they get most of that from Trump. He never takes time to think, adlibbing his way through life and chuckling inside every time he believes he has gotten away with something. He wears his ignorance like a badge. Our great Orange Leader proudly proclaims to getting his information from watching TV shows and news networks. He says he hates the media, but bases his theories on shoddy reporting and stories that have no basis in facts. He literally, uses “fake news” to govern, and his cult sees nothing wrong with whatever he does. What have we become as a nation?

Trump displays his fear outwardly. It’s easy to spot. He openly kowtows to leaders he’s not supposed to like, and treats our ally leaders with a dose of disregard and disrespect. Trump clearly indicated that he “believed Putin” when he said he didn’t interfere with our elections, and then he attacked those who were critical of him back home. He called former administration people “political hacks.”

But then, truth entered the picture. CIA Director Mike Pompeo said that he stands by US intelligence assessments that Russia meddled in the 2016 election. Trump, backed into a corner, retreated with, “What I said there is that I believe he believes that. And that’s very important for someone to believe. I believe that he feels that he and Russia did not meddle in the election.” And then, in truly Trumpean style, he adds, “As to whether I believe it or not, I am with our agencies, especially as currently constituted with the leadership.”

Some say that Trump is being played by Putin. I have said Trump will be played by anyone who compliments him, genuflects, grovels or kisses his big fat ass. Anyone who can get Trump’s brain chemicals oozing messages of gratification can acquire whatever they want. When confronted, Trump simply changes what he said. When caught in a lie, his plan is simple, decide whether to double-down on the lie or change the words to mean something else. He is truly naïve, ignorant, afraid, and, I would add, delusional.
